On August 20th, Daum Games' Black Desert unveiled "Horse Racing" which is available for players from all channels. "Horse Racing" is a new gameplay content that makes full use of houses raised by players. The race could be held in Black Desert's huge map which allows at maximum 20 players to compete concurrently.

Players from all channels are able to participate in the race in 24 hours. According to the ranking, players could obtain badge which could be used to exchange weapon, armor, harness equipment and others, automatically.

Last month, Runic Games, developer behind the famous ip Torchlight disclosed that they will show a brand new project at the upcoming PAX Prime from August 28 to August 31. It seems we don't have to wait that long as Runic Games today teased us with a debut trailer and some of the concept arts. Hob will also be playable at PAX Prime.

The game is set in a beautiful but also dangerous world where robots are living in this unknown planet. With the constant exploring, even more dangerous planets will be discovered and players will have to learn every skills well so as to survive and change the world.




Hob will have a lot of puzzles waiting for players to discover and the stories won't be presented by the traditional dialogue and text. Players will have to explore the planets and interactive with them to know how the story goes.

Since the launch of Magerealm, most of the functions were competitive and serious, and game’s developer GTArcade feels it is time to add a function more fun and relaxing to the game. The new function will bring balance to the game in terms of competitiveness.

So here is is: Mage Poker! Players will get 3 free attempts daily, with additional attempts available for purchase. At the start of each attempt, players are dealt a total of 9 cards. Players should then separate them into groups of 3 into the 3 slots given. The cards in each slot will be compared with the opponent's cards in the mirror slots. The combination of cards in descending order is thus: Set (3 of a kind)>Straight Flush>Flush>Straight>Pair>High Card.



Each slot of cards that win will gain you corresponding items as reward and points, while losing will only gain you some participation points. Players get a minute and a half to choose their card combinations. If player fails to set his cards in the given time, the system will assign cards in random.

Players will gain additional 100 points if they have either all sets, all flushes, all straights or four of a kind for their 3 slots. Players will also get the choice to peek their opponent's cards and to let the system to change the cards they are dealt for great improvement in combination.

One way GTArcade have envisioned that Mage Poker could tie in with the rest of the game is through the Pentacle Function. Heroes have played a crucial role in the game. Integral to the Hero System was the Pentacle Function that allows players to make their already powerful Heroes even stronger! However, Magerealm has found a way to make the function more fun and complex.

Additionally, GTArcade is also introducing a new concept called: Star Vein, represented as five star icons on the corners of the original Pentacle. While the Pentacle stills functions like before, with players still able to level it up. However, Star Vein plays a more significant role in making a hero stronger. A Star Vein is activated each time players level up the Pentacle.



Star Veins can increase a hero's Growth Stat. Each Star Vein increase the Growth Stat by a set amount, but this amount increases with Pentacle Level. Players will be able to see the additional Growth Stats granted by the awesome Star Vein by the number in brackets behind the normal Growth Stat. Star Vein Badges are required to activate Star Veins. How do players get the afore mentioned badges? That's right, from Mage Poker!

NGames' new real-time MMORPG Dragons Spear will be launching soon! Featuring rich class skills and spectacular skill effects which offer players a real combat experience, Dragons Spear set its story based on European fantasy. The main plot follows a thrilling and risky quest storyline.

From year 689 to 563, the Evil Queen Edaliya waged a war that ended the Dragon's reign. This lead to Edaliya's Evil Age, the darkest age in Dragaeri history. Skill System

WEBZEN has signed its latest partnership with developer POLYGON GAMES to bring the Asian fantasy MMORPG ASTA to Western players through the global gaming portal WEBZEN.com. That is to say, the anticipated ASTA will be available on WEBZEN.com later this year.

ASTA - The War of Tears and Winds is a lively MMORPG featuring a rich world inspired by Asian culture, and offers a unique element of Asian fantasy along with vibrantly coloured graphics. ASTA will offer players a variety of options for races, classes and characters, along with classic MMO features like PVP battlegrounds and guild battles, a broad crafting system, scenarios and quests with rich lore, a player-driven economy and rewarding dungeons.

After going "radio silence" for quite sometime, Neowiz Bless Studio just posted a new article teasing the third Closed Beta phase and assuring fans that the team is still working day and night to make the changes that were requested by the vast majority of the CBT participants. As always, more details about the upcoming beta test will be available "soon".



Developers also talked about some of the changes that will be available in the next beta phase like the number of quests that will be decreased to make sure that the main quests are chained together, also allowing players to level up faster. A new tracking quest system will be added that will show the direction and the distance towards the quest objective.



One of the most important changes will be made to the combat system allowing classes like Ranger to use a non-target mode while the melee dps classes like Berserker will use the traditional tab targeting mode. As far as we know, you won't be able to choose your favorite style as these mods will be tied to the class that you are playing.



Neowiz also teased some new features that are in development right now , including new dungeons, guild system and politics. For the CBT 3 the level cap will be raised to 45.

August 29 in Seattle, ArenaNet will host a special presentation at PAX Prime 2015 with major announcement of Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns. ArenaNet says players can expect to hear what’s in store for current and future with Heart of Thorns expansion. The event will be hosted in the PAX Prime Hydra Theatre at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, and will be livestreamed on the official Guild Wars 2 Twitch channel.
 

 
PAX Prime will be a good time to announce the release date since ArenaNet has confirmed the expansion will come out this year. I hope it would be a release date, and I hope it will also announce a separated expansion pack for those who have owned Guild Wars 2 to upgrade to Heart of Thorns.

Square Enix's anime CCG Million Arthur was launched on western market last month, but the publishers of Korea and SEA have announced that they are going to shut down the servers. All monetary transactions will be stopped from 31 August, before Million Arthur Korea officially closes on 30 October. The SEA service will cease operations on 6 November 2015(GMT+8), and the official page will be closed on 20 November 2015.



Million Arthur is an engaging adventure where players build an army, explore new territories, and defend Britain from invaders.

Daybreak Games (formally SOE) has a new idea to deal with bad players in Everquest 2: put them into a prison server. "This is a server our Customer Service Game Masters have requested over the years in order to manage disruptive players. They will determine who goes there," the game's producer Holly Longdale writes in a forum post.



This is an experiment for now. Players who break the rule and disrupt the game can only log into Drunder, the prison server. It will be a life imprisonment and these prisoner characters will never be able to log in another server.
 
If you have been keeping your eyes on the MMO industry, you should have seen more and more MMOs take player behavior more seriously. They've implemented new ways to punish bad-behaved players instead of a direct ban.

Bucharest, August 20. PGL Season 1 will end in style on October 2-4, 2015 when its LAN Finals will be hosted by Grand Cinema & More, one of the biggest digital cinema-theaters in Romania. The matches will be projected in Epika Hall, on a giant screen measuring 22.5 metres in length and 12.5 meters in height.

After a long silence, BLESS finally announced its 3rd Closed Beta Test schedule as well as detailed new gameplay content info. In the 3rd Closed Beta Test, a lot of gameplay contents from combat mode to 3rd CBT's volume are totally changed.

From targeting combat to non-targeting combat, players could choose the operation method freely. The most important change in 3rd CBT is Operating System. The targeting combat and non-targeting combat are both available. In the line with the change of combat handling, the combat action is greatly improved. In addition, the beating feeling of Guardian and Paladin that talked about a lot in the second closed beta test has been improved.

 

All continents opened and the field RvR starts! The RvR element of BLESS is reinforced in the upcoming 3rd CBT. With all regions in BLESS open, players from two factions have more chance to confront.

Besides the 4 playable class, BLESS added Mage and Assassin in the upcoming test so team work between users is further strengthened. The amount of quests are also changed in the 3rd CBT. It provides players with contents up to level 45.

With the release of The Grand Tournament we are going to see a major shift in the meta game due to an influx in new cards and the inevitability of power creep (power creep = Evil Heckler > Booty Bay Body Guard). This is perhaps going to be one of the last times the meta-game will be stable for a long time. With the revelation of ladder specific rewards coalesced with a predictable meta, now is the time to climb, and in this article I highlight some of the strongest decks to do that with.  

Patron Warrior:
Virtually, since its inception in the Blackrock Mountain expansion, the Grim Patron Warrior archetype has reigned supreme. Very few decks have had a run so long and it’s literally going to take a new expansion to knock this deck off its metaphorical, first place podium. The ability to clear an opponent’s board while simultaneously flooding yours is this decks main strength, but not its only one. The heavy draw mechanics integrated within the deck allow massive combos to occur and from around turn 6-8 the Patron Warrior is deadly scary; either from a big Patron turn or an immense Frothing Berserker – Warsong Commander combination that can do upwards of twenty damage in one turn!

Good Against:
The reason Patron Warrior is so good is because it feasts upon aggro and mid-ranged decks, the vast majority of archetypes that are seen on the ladder. Aggro Paladin, Face Hunter, Midrange Hunter, and Zoolock don’t have a chance. The Warriors hero ability, Armorsmith, Fiery War Axe and Unstable Ghoul keep it alive in the early game so that later on, it can effectively get out a huge combo turn to overwhelm the opponent with. Overall, it has the best matchup percentages, making it yet again, the best the deck to play on ladder for the fourth straight season.

Bad Against:
It’s no coincidence that there has been a visible increase in play of the Handlock. The Handlock’s powerful AoE makes it difficult to defeat. Even worse is the fact that the deck is being played in a demon-Handlock hybrid fashion, making it exponentially more difficult to defeat with Voidcaller’s in the mix. Mech Shaman is another archetype this deck struggles against, with the ability to overwhelm the board early with quality minions and then finish you off with bursty spells. Luckily though, Mech Shaman is not seeing a lot of play because it’s almost like Mech Shaman was custom-engineered to defeat the Patron Warrior.

Zoolock:
Zoolock was the deck to beat for a very long time. It was peaceful time, people loved each other, the socio-economic scales were stable, and it was a time when decks like Face Hunter and Patron Warrior didn’t exist! Well guess what? It’s still a damn good deck and cards like Imp Gang Boss and an upgraded Bane of Doom have given this deck a Hearthstone renaissance. This not your parents Zoolock anymore, the deck has become inherently more midrange, playing a slower and more consistent game with bigger minions and more removal.  

Good Against: The three big boys this deck whoops are: Midrange Hunter, Face Hunter, and Control Warrior. All three decks have seen an exponential increase in play this season and Zoolock provides a direct counter to these decks. The ability to out control the board against Hunter makes Zoolock a formidable opponent and against Control Warrior, the deck can precipitously rush them down.

Bad Against: Patron Warrior and Handlock eat Zoolock’s lunch. The inability to prevent a big combo from the Patron Warrior and it’s incapability to get through a Handlock’s walls is where Zoolock suffers. Fortunately, due to the difficulty in play of these decks, you will not see a lot of play from them in the earlier ranks, making Zoolock an optimal choice for climbing the ladder.

Aggro Paladin:
With the popularity in Midrange Hunter play, this deck has seen resurgence. The inability to efficiently remove an Aggro Paladin’s board thanks to divine shield is what makes this deck so strong. Cards like Blessing of Kings and Blessing of Might buff weaker minions to do devastating damage to the opponent. Muster for Battle helps control the board in the early game and Divine Favor is an amazing draw mechanic, making this deck a fun and efficient experience on ladder.

Good Against: Like I said above, this deck whoops on one of the most popular decks on ladder right now in the Midrange Hunter; its superior ability to “out control” is too much for the Hunter to deal with. It’s also great against Control Warrior and Handlock with its versatility to play a Face Hunter-like playstyle and rush the opponent down.

Bad Against: This deck struggles against Patron Warrior, Face Hunter, and Ramp Druid, three very popular decks at all stages of the ladder. It usually can’t “out face” the Face Hunter and it can’t effectively rush down the Patron Warrior or Ramp Druid.

Capcom's open world MORPG Dragon's Dogma Online will first launch in Japan on August 31. The developer revealed new gameplay information regarding Area Master and Job Master system. Area Master grants access to the dungeons in his area and Job Master teaches new combat abilities.

To unlock new dungeons in an area, you have to increase your rank in that area to gain trust of the Area Master. On the other hand, you will need Job Master to unlock level 6+ abilities. However, to meet the Job Master you have to first increase your rank in the area and in other words, you unlock Job Master from Area Master.


 
How to increase area rank?
 
There are board quests and world quests that you can do to help a particular area. Completing these quests will reward you area points with which you can level up your area rank. For instance, to enter Heidel underground catacombs you need to reach area rank 4. You can also learn the loot and enemies of this dungeon from Area Master.
 
Increasing area rank will also unlock new open world monsters in that area who drop better gear and items.
  
How to learn level 6+ ability from Job Master?

After one of your abilities reach level 5, you can talk to Job Master to take a test. Depending on your class, the tests could be different quests. You will also be able to unlock new classes through Job Master of the new class.

Ankama Games has just announced that its arcade game Tactile Wars is now available in select regions: America, Europe, Russia, Middle East, Africa and Oceania. The game is accessible to anyone and free to download on App Store and Google Play.



Tactile Wars is a totally new IP designed by Ankama, so it means that it isn’t based on currently exisiting IPs LIKE WAKFU or DOFUS. Tactile Wars features faster-paced strategy and arcade gameplay. In the game, players will take on the role as a general of army of mini-soldier “pigments”, armed with paint guns. The goal of Tactile Wars is to conquer your opponents’ territories with colorful blasts of paint. Different teams have different colors and you must cover them up with your color of paint to take over their territories. 



The strategies of the game are varies. There are tons of troop types available such as nfantry, mines, tanks, and turrets, with also having the ability to recruit mercenaries. You can also upgrade the troops and alliances with other players.
