The Photos Show How Sword Art Online VR MMO Is Played

Technology giant IBM Japan is developing a virtual reality MMORPG titled Sword Art Online: The Beginning, a project based on the hit anime series. An Alpha test will be held from March 18th to March 20th in a secret location in Tokyo. Only 208 testers were selected for this exclusive VR event.

Held in a secret location in Tokyo, they were able to enter the world of Sword Art Online using Oculus Rift devices. Just a note, this is not a “dive” as shown in the anime series, but the experience is close as it gets for now.

Some restrictions are also existed, as only 4 players were allowed into the game at the same time. Just like Kirito, they start off at the Town of Beginnings. There are AI NPCs around to guide the adventurers and explain various functions. Cor black bread was even available for purchase! There are several different weapon types ready to be selected, including the common axes and swords.

For combat, players are teleported to the 74th floor to face off with the iconic boss, The Gleam Eyes. Players have to raise their arms (to raise their weapons) in order to block attacks, and also able to activate Kirito’s Dual Blades style when requirements are met, including the skills. The experience lasts 20 minutes, and note that currently, there are no plans to make this into a full-fledge VR game.

Albion Online is in a closed beta right now. In GDC 2016, the developer offered a brief look at how the touch interface of Albion Online is going to work. No kidding, it's exactly like how it works on a PC with a mouse. One major correction from this video though, Albion Online is going to be universal. The experience likely won't be as great on the iPhone, but you will be able to play it on any device.

The followings are another three videos of what high-level Albion Online play looks like:

Indie-Game Spotlight: Xenowerk, "a Zombie Shooting Masterpiece"

$

If you're looking for a new mobile zombie shooter, and maybe want to get scared a little... then head on over to the app store and pick Xenowerk up.

Android:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pixelbite.mutant&hl=en
IOS:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/xenowerk/id969447496?mt=8
“It's a creative zombie shooting masterpiece, simple and action packed.” @Myekule

Gameplay
With complete free roam and a free aiming joysticks, you're locked in an abandoned science facility tasked with clearing each zombie infested floor. As you slaughter your way onto each level, your zombies mutate into stronger, faster, tankier creatures that only a well stocked badasses can defeat. As you kill zombies, you pick up weapon upgrades and skill points. Which ever weapon you're wielding at the time of pickup, increases that weapons individual level. Once you start accumulating skill points, you're able to unleash a flurry of ability based on your power suit model.

You're not given any sort of minimap, rather… you get a small navigational arrow pointing you in the general direction of the current levels objective. Each level changes its layout, so you'll never know where to go, or what zombies are lurking next. Once you've wandered around the blood stained facility wiping out all the zombies, and completed the levels quest, you can make your way to the main elevator which takes you back to the home screen.

Value
Amazing! For a free game (that doesn't force you to watch ads) Xenowerk is an incredible display of craftsmanship and programming. I haven't experienced any bugs, and if you do watch the provided ads - the payout is well worth it. Even when completing each level, you'll eventually accumulate enough cash to level. Visiting the store, Xenowerk’s entire inventory is accessible without monetary purchases. As of now (they might patch), you are able to watch an endless amount of short ads for an infinite amount of cash. Essentially, you could grind though ads all day and buy the entire inventory if you want, but then you might take the fun out of the game.
Note* After I purchased a mid-tier weapon, killing the zombies became extremely easy. I'd recommend only watching two ads a day to maintain difficulty, and to keep the game fun.

Creativity
Unfortunately, I didn't see too many new things in Xenowerk. Although the monsters are each independently unique, I feel like the environment is something that i'm used to. The camera was a hassle to work with at the beginning, but as you progress and figure out how to use the camera toggle properly you begin to appreciate the game's simplicity. That's the key word in this game, “Simplicity”.

From the home screen - to the action packed gameplay, this games organization comes from how intuitive a developer can be. With essentially only 3 screens,  Xenowerk somehow managed to make a zombie RPG, without the hassle. Paying closer attention to the environment, you will notice the small details they added which helped in game immersion. Down to calendars on the wall and to do list whiteboards, you're able to get a glimpse in the lives of the staff who worked their previously. This simple touch is what drew me into Xenowerk, and helped them establish a solid Score.

8.1/10

Challenges
(Easy)
Get to lvl 9 - without watching ads or spending any cash.
(Medium)
Get to lvl 12 - without buying new weapons.
(Hard)
Get to lvl 15 - without any weapon or suit upgrades.

Black Desert Online - PVP Tier List and Balance Talk

$

Greetings Black Desert players,

Black Desert Online has been out for a while now and just like any other PVP focused MMO, there have been a large number of players asking, both in-game and in forums, about

which class is the best for PVP?

In this article, I will be presenting you a general overview for each class when it comes to PVP.
For each class, we will be discussing about 3 things:
  1. Difficulty level
  2. Balance, how well they fare in the current meta
  3. Should I play <class' name>?

I will be referring to those 3 things with just the numbers from now on and in the exact same order. I am mentionning this so you won't be confused.

I am writing this article, without taking gear in to account. The reason is simple, I know that gear and player's skill are what usually makes the difference, but I want to present an overall image of how balanced are the classes by themselves and how well they can compete in the current meta.

Before I move on to the classes,
Here are the two PVP tier lists I made for the current meta (highest level PVP).

1v1 PVP
TierClass
S+Ranger
SSorceress
A+Valkyrie
ABerserker
BWarrior, Tamer
CWizard/Witch

Group PVP
TierClass
S+Ranger
SWizard/Witch
A+Sorceress, Valkyrie
A Berserker
BTamer, Warrior.

Let’s start with my personal favorite and my main class in Black Desert,

Sorceress
1 The Sorceress has a great damage output. Her kit includes both melee and ranged skills which allows her to adapt to any situation and she also has decent evasion skills, like teleportation in order to avoid attacks.
She has low defense, because she wears light armor and her playstyle relies mostly on dodging attacks, rather than mitigating them.
She is the most difficult class to learn and master in the game. You need quick reflexes and deep knowledge of her abilities in order to make her work and know what to do next. She has the largest number of combos, most of them are difficult to use.
2 I am not going to lie to you, as it is now, the Sorceress is one of the best classes for PVP, both 1v1 and group PVP. Due to her having both ranged and melee skills, many people have trouble figuring out a solid strategy to counter her.
In 1v1, she has ultra high burst damage, good mobility and cc abilities.
In group PVP, she is strong as well, maybe not so much as it is in 1v1, but still her AOE skills are not to be taken lightly.
3 If you want a challenge, then pick her. Sorceress in one of the most rewarding classes in end-game PVP. But be warned!
If you decide to main a sorceress, you will either end up GODLIKE or God-awful!

Warrior
1 The Warrior doesn’t have the greatest damage output in the game, even with decent gear his DPS is lacking compared to other classes and also, his evasion skills are mediocre compared to other classes. To compensate for that, he has high health, great defense, a variety of cc skills and can also block attacks with his shield, nullifying 100% of the incoming damage, which can result in a total comeback in an otherwise lost fight.
But in order for the Warrior to truly shine in high level PVP, he needs to master the art of stance switching. What I mean is that knowing when he needs to defend and when to lash out his combos is of great importance.  That makes the
Warrior one of the hardest classesfor PVP, unlike the Sorceress though, his combos are fewer and much easier to learn.
2 As it is, the Warriors are pretty much at the bottom of the PVP tier list. The reason for that is simple.
In 1v1, he is simply out-damaged by almost all classes, he may stand a fair chance against the melee classes though.
In group PVP, he also falls short, because while tanky, his survival depends a lot on the good use of his shield and when you have fifty people bursting you down in a siege then things turn grim for you.
He needs a buff, either to his DPS or his defense.
3 Warrior is definitely a class recommended for beginners, but you should know that it will take you a lot of practice and frustrating defeats until you can be at least decent in high level PVP.

Ranger
1 The Ranger has INSANE DPS and the best evasion skills in the game. Having said that, I should also mention that she is one of the squishiest classes. Her light armor offers her, even less defense than the Sorceress, which forces to rely completely on dodging attacks and if she was to get hit even once, it would be painful.
She has a good set of combos which are fairly easy to use and. Overall a very easy class.
2 Ranger is currently the most popular choice of class. Many people say that the
Ranger is completely broken!
In 1v1, a mediocre Ranger can kill most of the other classes fairly easily and a skilled Ranger can do the same without even sustaining damage and in less time.
In group PVP, she is equally powerful, being able to bombard with her arrows, enemies from afar and dash to safety when they gank up on her, is what makes the Ranger so good in the current meta.
She needs to be nerfed, before the game fills with Rangers.
3 If you want to have an easy time, in both PVE and PVP, then Ranger is for you. You can’t go wrong by picking a Ranger.

Wizard/Witch

1 Basically, the nukers and the supports of Black Desert. They feature impressive AOE damaging and cc skills and also great support and healing skill that can save their allies. However their long cooldown on their spells and the casting times are their downsides, because it leaves them open to enemies attacks. That combined with their poor defenses, makes them a class of Average difficulty.
2 Witches fall short in the current 1v1 meta for the reasons  I’ve stated above. But in Group PVP, even a mediocre witch can turn the tide of battle, if not properly focused. Their AOE, burst damage is fantastic, also their healing capabilities and shields are a great boon to her allies. Overall, they are quite decent and fairly well balanced.
3 If you are going to focus on group PVP, then Wizard/Witch is a solid choice. If you are more 1v1 player, then you are probably better with some other class.

Berserker
1 The Berserker has great defense, very high health pool, decent DPS and very good crowd control skills. But he is the slowest and the least mobile class in the game.
Overall though, he is the easiest class to learn in Black Desert.
2  The Berserker isn’t for everyone in PVP. He is neither the worst nor the best class when it comes to DPS or tanking or crowd controlling.
In 1v1, he is easily out-damaged by the Ranger or Sorceress, out-lived by a Valkyrie, while he stands a good chance against the rest of the classes.
In group PVP, he is mostly a support class. He has to stay in the heat of the battle and make sure to stay alive in order to punish with hard CC, those foes that make mistakes. He relies a lot on his teammates for the damage, that’s why overall,
The berserker is mid-tier in the PVP list, maybe he needs a buff in his CC to be more viable.
3 If you like spreading chaos and you are a fan of spin-to-win, then Berserker is what you need to play. Easy, Reliable and fairly strong.

Valkyrie
1 Valkyrie can do what a Warrior can do better. However, she has poor mobility compared to him, but she compensates for that with some mid-ranged attacks and support-healing spells. She is basically like a Paladin in WOW, able to dish out decent damage, support allies and tank.  Not too hard to learn but you need to know your opponents well in order to time your attacks. So overall, she is of average difficulty.
2 In 1v1 situations, her tankiness and cc abilities are what make her excel, she can prove a formidable foe for any class and she is not to be underestimated.
In group PVP, she remains a valuable asset to her teammates, as she can either play as Bruiser, tank and damage in close combat or support and damage from range.
Overall, she is quite balanced and  doesn’t need any changes.
3 Valkyrie is a superb class, not too hard, not too easy and definitely rewarding. If you like a decent all-rounder class then Valkyries should be your choice.

Tamer

1 And of course, there can’t be any true MMO without a pet class. The Tamer is fairly easy to use and learn. You have your skills, your pet’s skills and your combo skills between the first two. Decent damage and good evasion skills. However, she has low defense
2 The Tamer, unfortunately lack in PVP. She is in the same page as the Warrior, maybe even lower. The reason for that Is that her pet doesn’t scale with her gear, but her level and skill levels.
So, in 1v1 high-level PVP, when her pets gets one-shotted, she’s pretty much dead meat.
The same goes for her high-level group PVP.
She can still dish out a decent amount of damage  if she is not focused in group PVP, but overall, she is lackluster.
Conclusion, her pet needs to scale with her gear and not with her level.
3 I don’t have a good reason to recommend you playing a Tamer for high level PVP, since she’s pretty much worthless as it is. if you enjoy her playstyle and you don’t really care about her obvious weaknesses, then go for it.

What are your opinions about the current PVP balance?

Game Review ChemCaper - “The RPG Designed for School?!?!”

$
0
0
You are Roub Idyum (Rubidium), a Moon Being from Reac Ta.

For reasons unknown, a sinister foe has turned the usually friendly and helpful Petticles into dangerous little creatures, wreaking havoc on the peace-loving and knowledge-seeking Moon Beings.
In search of his parents, Roub will find many mysteries and wonders of his world. Not everything leads to an answer, and those he finds may not be the ones he wants to hear...

Like the name entails, ChemCaper is a Single Player RPG focused on the concept of “Petticle Bonding”. I’m pretty sure the developer was a High School Chemistry teacher, because every time I incorrectly bond Petticles and fail I feel I’m being graded. Once you download the game and fail a few times, you’ll see what I mean.

Gameplay
The game starts off like every normal RPG, as you get introduced to the basic characters you also begin the combat tutorial. In ChemCaper, aside from your main character you also get to control three Petticles, of which differ per element and level. You are allowed to attack simultaneously although each attack and spell does have a cool down. The combat system reminded me most of Final Fantasy 7. I say this with a little reluctance but after playing the game I couldn't get myself to draw any other conclusions. You can see your enemies but unless you approach them,  a combat sequence won't start (exactly like FF7). Once the battle is finished, you will collect all drops and continue from where you left off precombat sequence.

What I love about this mechanic is that in certain situations you may want to quickly complete a quest. Simply running past all of your enemies and dodging the combat sequences will ensure the fastest quest completion time. Also, leaving the area and reentering will refresh all monsters in the area allowing great level-grind platforms. When it comes to leveling - this is where the game starts to get complex.

Your Petticle is created by combining the correct elements with the corresponding element pet cards. You can collect these cards by completing quests, or in-game challenges. Once you have the required amount of elements - putting them into the machine allows you a pretty high success rate for creating a new Petticle. Not only are you supposed to brush up on your Chemistry, but you're also needing a steady hand when it comes to Manufacturing your lab tools. ChemCaper is the first well-crafted RPG that uses your smartphone's full touch screen potential. This is also another favorite mechanic of mine and when more mobile games implement this, I can see it shifting the way games are played.

Creativity
I want to start off by acknowledging ChemCaper for starting from Kickstarter. With slightly over 1000 backers and raising over 50k, Ace Edventure Std. has one of those teams that are in it for the win. Greenlit by Steam and winning a lot of indie awards, I'm shocked ChemCaper’s isn't getting much attention. Honestly for a mobile RPG this is hands-down the most polished (indie) game I've come across. Now that that's established let's just talk about how well crafted this game is. From the music to the artwork they didn't seem to leave any stone unturned.

At minimum, I can see myself playing this game for at least 60 hours. That's because they packed in so much content, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to ever reach 100% game completion. But that's the cool thing about mobile games, the fact that the developers can always add content at any time. A lot of the names are derived from chemical elements, and also the world you play in is based off our periodic table of elements. I can't believe this game is indie - and if it wasn't for the price tag I'd recommend the immediate download.

Value
$7.99 - that's one of the most expensive role-playing mobile games I've seen in awhile. Not only that it supposed to be geared towards ages 8-16, but I can already tell it's more the realm of a ages 14-34 type game. I say this because the amount of time it takes in between quests is pretty long, and knowing the attention span of our younger age demographic - they're going to get bored of this game rather quickly. The question now comes with this game's value / over the good this game can give in the science community.

I would have opted for a choice - instead of only one option of paying $7.99. They should have given us some free time to experience the universe they created before asking us for twice the money a normal app cost. It's really hard for me to tell you that this games worth it when I've seen other equally polished game offered for free. Do I think they are getting greedy or do I think they're trying to create a brand? I'm sure they raised enough money on Kickstarter the launch this game free, so I'm going to hope that they are trying to create a brand. I guess we'll have to wait for Act:II to find out the answer. Until then, this game comfortably sites at an:

Sandbox Group-based Emergent Gameplay MMORPG Saga of Lucimia Coming Soon

Built with the Unity engine, the Saga of Lucimia is a group-based, high-fantasy MMORPG. It combines rich storylines with elements of classic table-top RPGs and the earlier forms of dungeon-based, group-based MMORPGs. Currently, the development team is working with Unity 5, which should carry them through the development of Volume I of the saga.

The Saga of Lucimia MMORPG Internal Test Preview

The Saga of Lucimia hearkens back to a time when players worked together to achieve goals that were greater than what they could achieve on their own. A time when teamwork, friendship and community meant more than lewt and single-serving, on-the-rails questlines designed to take you to max level in a matter of days.

Saga of Lucimia

  • GROUP-BASED EMERGENT GAMEPLAY
There are zero solo quests, 8-man groups, multi-group raids, and emergent gameplay in Saga of Lucimia.

It is a team-based game where the best rewards, both in terms of storyline and gear, come from overcoming challenging content that is experienced with a team of your best friends and allies by your side. Saga of Lucimia focuses on an 8-man party system. Small group content will be 3-4 man in the overland zones. Well-geared and skilled players may be able to duo or trio content slightly below them in terms of difficulty, but only in the areas close by outposts and cities; dungeons will require full groups and raid parties to work through.

    Saga of Lucimia

Players will be able to explore within cities and outposts on their own, as well as craft by themselves in between adventuring sessions and work on leveling up certain skills, but any time they step foot outside of the protection of a city or outpost they are entering a world of adventure and danger, a place where they dare not venture alone. This is a challenge-based game focused on group content.

    Saga of Lucimia

    Saga of Lucimia

  • SANDBOX, NOT THEMEPARK
Zero quest hubs, no mini-map, a massive world to explore, and a classless, skill-based game where you create your own story with your friends.

The Saga of Lucimia is an RPG, which means there is an underlying storyline that accompanies each Volume of the game. Players have the option of following this primary storyline through quests laid out over the course of the game, as well as pursuing content across the entirety of the continent of Lucimia in a true sandbox-style environment.

Players can also specialize in a wide variety of combat and non-combat skills provided by skill and crafting system. There will still be theme park elements of the game in the sense that certain questlines will have a pre-determined point A and point B. However, there will be no quest hubs nor will you be required to follow a specific series of quests to gain skill points and level your character.

An assistant app for Clash Royale and Clash of Clans named "叉叉助手" appears in China. By using this CR cheating tool, you can see your opponent's Elixir during the game and unlock the chest automatically.

See Opponent's Elixir

叉叉助手 can show the amount of opponent's elixir. You can start Clash Royale in this tool. After starting the floating window and entering the game, a Elixir sign appears in the top of the screen. The number is exactly the amount of your opponent's elixir. So that you can have plenty time to plan for the attack and defense of the troops. Enjoy the happiness of victory.

Unlock Chest Automatically

Chest is the most important source of goods in Clash Royale, but you can only unlock the chest in 3 hours at fastest speed. After using 叉叉助手, you can unlock chest automatically, thus saving a large amount of time.

So what‘s your opinion of this cheating tool? Leave the comment below. And did you know any other cheating tool of Clash Royale, you can also share it with us.

We are hosting a price-giving event. LIke Clash Royale Community first and then share your battle deck under the first post (Link:https://www.facebook.com/clashroyalecommunity/posts/932141590239587?fref=nf)). You will have chance to win $50 iOS/Andriod gift card.

Clash Royale Arena 6-7 Deck: 6-Building Deck Makes the Opponent Desperate

Defending with Bomb Tower, Goblin Hut-genre and X-Bow genre are regarded as the most disgusted genre in Clash Royale. Today, I would love to recommend a deck which mixs the above 3 genres together to our audience.

Deck Details:

6 buildings: X-Bow, Cannon, Goblin Hut, Bombstone, Elixir Collector, Tesla
Versatile Troop: Dragon Baby
Damage Magic: Rocket

How to play:

Defense: Make sure that you always have Tesla and Bombstone in hand to attract the coming oppoents. Dragon Baby could also attract oppoents' attention or export damage when the buildings could not provide enough defense.

Attack: Take any possible opportunity to place Cannon and X-Bow to consume the oppoent's Elixir. It will cost oppoents' 300 Elixir to place the Dragon Baby along the wall.

Preparation: To place Goblin Hut and Elixir Collector as many as possible. When you have already gathered a certain Goblin, Dragon Baby could defense the attack from tower to help Goblin export damage.

Ultimate Kill: Rocket

Key Point: X-Bow, Elixir Collector and Rocket. Make sure to use them when the Elixir is full.
