Very Important Tips for Green Hands in Blade and Soul

$
0
0
Blade and Soulis an active MMORPG that has existed for several years. For those players who wonder what a fighting game, it would look like a MMORPG, Blade & Soul is a strong, solid hybrid of the two genres, with exciting raid bosses and a robust community for PvP that has several World Championships already.

1. Basic knowledge of Combat
First and foremost, you need to attract the enemy in front of you and within the necessary distance for your attack. That might sound obvious, but when it comes to dungeon raids, enemies move around the environment a lot and the game relies on manual targeting. Apart from bosses and semi-bosses, most enemies won’t have telegraphing data, so be careful about the attack animations of an enemy to dodge and counter properly.

2. Don’t Loss Surveys and Daily Dash for Free Items
Everyone likes free items. At every two levels or so (it becomes more space out after Level 18), you will receive surveys from BNS where you answer a few multiple-choice questions and fill out a comment. Completing these make you all kinds of healing items, keys for opening chests, and unlocking charms to access rare equipment drops.

Don’t miss out on the Daily Dash. Every day you can get two spins that make you move anywhere from 1-6 spaces at 100-space board. You will pick up free items that get rarer and rarer as you move along three or four steps once. A special item you’ll receive when you reach the end.

3. Skill Points Experiment
Your character skill can be changed skill points set noticeably. You’ll start earning a single skill point to assign for you at level 15, but you need to get through Act I Chapter 17 when you start putting those points into good use.

Most skills with small effect is infused by skill points such as healing properties and adding damage, but some trees can change the skill into a different one or give awesome CC effects which are knockdown, airborne, freezing, daze, and stun. You can use your experiment skill trees when there’s no cost to reset your skill points. A simple change of the skill means a combo string can be lasted for fifteen seconds.

4. How to Play in Dungeon in the First Place
Gathering a party together exists several ways. At the front of some dungeons, you can press the ‘F’ key to search for party members who are around that area across multiple channels in a dragon pillar. One good method is that goes into the party finder by hitting F7, to choose a dungeon, and see whether someone is searching for a party for that dungeon. If so, you can apply for that party, or you can set up your own dungeon party. And just a note: You want to find many party finder notifications in one of the chat tabs, however you can’t click on them to join the party (I know it’s odd) instead, you need to find the party request in the party finder window as mentioned earlier.

Another method is to skip all of these together and go into the cross-server lobby instead, which is an option available in the party finder window. This will send you to a lobby screen where you can select a dungeon and enter a party immediately or search for a party of your own. Once it’s full (or not), all of you will head to a small cross-server area that has a merchant and vault storage before you enter the dungeon through the portal. Just for the merchant and vault storage, you may prefer doing the cross-server lobby instead, and you can be assured that players who use this option are experienced dungeon runners.

5. Blackram Narrows Dungeon 10 Times for 400 HP Boost
The first major dungeon will be Blackram Narrows 6-man dungeon at the end of Act I. if you like you can choose to skip this dungeon altogether, however when you’re around Level 20 it is your best interest to complete this dungeon if it’s available. Most important, if you finish the Blackram Narrows dungeon 10 times, you’ll receive the 400 HP bonus attribution which you can apply for in the achievements window (shortcut ‘U’ key) under Bonus Attributes. It is a huge benefits that you can’t miss.

You’ll have many chances to earn all eight pieces for the fantastic Blight Soul Shield as you continue to attack the dungeon. This is a major upgrade because each purple piece gives 90-110 HP instead of the rare 10 HP in most soul shield pieces (piece six will give a whopping 340 HP). To get all of the pieces through the boss treasure chest and the loot auction is not easy, but try to grab all eight pieces as possible as you can. It will serve you well through the entire second act of the story.

6. How to Get All 8 Pieces of Soul Shield
When we are talking about the Soul Shield, it replaces armor in the game by giving you an HP boost as well as other minor bonuses, evasion, and the like. You not only want to gather all eight pieces of Soul Shield for the HP boost but also to gain the set bonus for having 3, 5, and 8 pieces of a set. So you just to pray to the luck gods to collect an entire set as some of the rarer Soul Shield pieces cannot be traded as you know.

Apart from the Blight Soul Shield that I mentioned earlier from the Blackram Narrows dungeon, your first trial at a field boss needs a team of players. It is the giant Jiangshi near the Foshi Pyres in Everdusk. Defeating the boss will help you earn essences that you can spend at the two Dragon Union wheels in the Foshi Pyres area. If you’re lucky, you’ll get all eight pieces of the Stalker Soul Shield in one spin but it doesn’t take long to grab them all with a few spins.

7. Horde Coins
One of the first things you notice about the economy in Blade & Soul is that almost everything you sell is worth 1 measly bronze coin, vendors in some places sell for about 5 silver coins, or 500 bronze coins. That said, you need to keep your money close to your chest and don’t spend them unless you really need.

I recommend spending money either in the marketplace (shortcut key ‘F5’) or the loot auctions that pop up during a dungeon like the Blackram Narrows. Near the endgame, to upgrade your weapon needs amount of money, soul shield, and also the accessories become extremely high by feeding them junk, so you want to save your coins for that as well.

8. Save Your Keys and Unsealing Charms, Salvage Crap
It is quite rare to obtain keys and unsealing charms. They cost extreme amount of money when you’re starting out, and to earn them through quests, surveys, Daily Dashes, crafting is the only way and need a few other means. Keys are used to open locked chests that drop occasionally, whereas it is possible for you to equip weapons through unsealing charms and soul shield pieces that have been sealed. Sometimes, you need to use a key and an unsealing charm to get to the item that you want.

But both of these items are rare enough that you shouldn’t waste them on low-level green and blue items. Many times, it’s better to save the fodder for either leveling up the weapons and accessories you already have (you don’t need to unseal weapons or accessories to use them as fodder), or salvaging them into components for fusion later down the road.
9. Learn More Experience From Seasoned Veterans
As Blade & Soul has been launched for quite a while in Korea and Japan now, so there are already plenty of gameplay videos of expert players showing off their combo skills in both PvE and PvP. So I suggest you take a look at the videos on YouTube for your chosen class.

It may be a while before your character is high enough to have access to all of the skills that these experts will use, but it’s still a good aspect to see how the class is supposed to perform and which combos do the most damage. That said, how to build your character is up to you and you may be more comfortable with certain combos and skills than others.

10. Join 2 Crafting and 2 Gathering Guilds at Jadestone Village
Jadestone Village not only serves as the jumping point for learning how dungeons work, but also it is the hotspot for joining various crafting and gathering guilds. Many guilds interact with one another, producing materials for another guild, and you’ll find out all of this information by talking to the guild reps throughout the village. Many of them are what you would expect: stonecrafting, woodcutting, jewelry, healing, etc.

I found copper ore for the Prospector’s Union which I can refine into repairing tools and basic weapons through the Forgekeepers. Just make sure the spots you find on the map are your gathering guilds needed for creating raw materials, since it costs a lot to windstride to another area. You can also re-order anything you’ve requested by using the pop-up appears in the lower right-hand corner once an order is finished. Very handy, right?

Titan Brawl is a Fast-paced Mobile MOBA Set in Two Parallel Lanes

$

We have seen lots of mobile MOBA games which successfully port most PC MOBA mechanics to mobile devices but with a different UI, such as Fate Forever and Vainglory. In these mobile MOBAs, players usually spend 15-20 minutes for a game. Today we are going to introduce a new MOBA title Titan Brawl which offers quick-paced PvP matches that last around 4 minutes at a time.

Developed by Omnidrone, the game currently features 1 vs 1 mode, and 2 vs 2 mode is under consideration. The opposing bases are connected with two parallel lanes where you deploy your troops and clash with the enemy's troops and hero. It looks like Clash Royale but with only two fixed lanes and views from the side. Players can assemble a team from ex-military mercs to ancient gods, and level-up to build the ultimate combat crew. In addition, there is also global ranking system for players to climb.

Titan Brawl will be soft-launched for Android on April 18th and iOS a few weeks later. For more information about this game, you can check out its official site here.

Mobile Game Review: Critical Ops "Finally a Competitive FPS on Mobile!"

Mobile Game Review: Critical Ops
“The Perfect Counter-Strike Clone for Mobile”
You remember the good ole days, before CS:GO wrecked the Counter-Strike meta. Key mapping was just catching on, so you could still knife rush the Counter-Terrorist nubs. Just go download Critical Ops (C-ops) and relive the glory days of FPS on Mobile.

Gameplay
No story-line here, just action packed FPS combat. With a bunch of surprisingly large maps to choose from, I found myself at a loss of things to complain about. The game speed is fast, the matches are quick, and you have different map objectives to choose from. Player synchronization is perfect up to around 260 ping. Anything over that and you couldn’t play most PC games anyway so I’d say they completely nailed the in-game Mobile network lag issue.

Auto-Target is a feature in this game, although the drag is minimal. The game really focuses heavily on headshots, but you can get the lucky Spray-N-Pray a little more than I would like. The weapon recoil is fitting for each weapon, making burst-fire the recommended path. The Sniper Rifle doesn't auto Kill (unless it's a head-shot), and the pistols are viable weapons. No riot shields, No AWP, and the AK and M4A1 aren't overpowered.

You have a no tasks, as Critical-Ops gives you two play options. Custom Games - Ranked Games. You are given a spot for missions, but i've only received promotions in that location. In Custom Mode, you can select from servers playing the Map and gametype of your choice. Making custom matches a more laid back atmosphere, with less tactical strategy. Ranked Queues are currently disabled, as they have been having some Facebook login issues as well as a few hacking scares. When I say scares, I mean they found the hackers, and patched the game. The community seems pretty good with reports and screenshots, but you still might encounter one.

Creativity
At first glance, you couldn’t give Critical Ops any accolades for creativity, seeing that it’s a perfect clone of Counter-Strike. But, then again - isn’t that an accolade in itself. Sure we’re missing a few nuances like debri, hostages, and my favorite “the chickens” - but sacrifices have to be made when optimizing games for mobile. You at least have gun skins, and the particle effects for the smoke grenade are perfect.

I found myself struggling with the weapon toggle. I feel they need to allow more time for selection lock, or make the choices more sticky. When you find yourself having this issue, my way around it was to quick swipe. The shop is intuitive and fast, and with the 3 second buy window, (with practice) I found myself having plenty of time to customize my buy. You are given itemsets that you can pre-build in menu, but not enough to never fine tune at the in-game shop.

Value
Free-To-Play. Finally, we have a multiplayer focused Mobile FPS, that works. Even with 215 ping, the minimal lag doesn’t affect gameplay enough to miss a headshot. You heard me, 10 vs 10 perfect Counter-Strike clone that you can play over cell network. Visiting the store, you’re only able to purchase weapon skins (thank god for that.) Critical-Ops is already projected to be the #1 Competitive FPS on Mobile.

With only a small initial Download, selecting your map and connecting to custom servers is all you have to do. You will download anything else you need in-game, keeping the action fast, and the downloading at a minimum. Ranked play is already finding itself some promising FPS clans. Since the game is new, you might want to hop in now to ensure you stay current with the Skill Curve and Meta. Playing for over 10 hours, and not spending a dime or seeing any advertisements - makes this game one of the highest mobile games I’ve reviewed.

Kingdom Hearts Unchained X is Coming to North America

$

0
The Square Enix blog has welcome news for fans of Kingdom Hearts: Kingdom Hearts Unchained X will be released for both iOS and Android devices on April 7th. According to a special Q&A with Director Tetsuya Nomura, this game is considered "the beginning" of the entire series in a world of fairy tales. In addition, there is a connection to the forthcoming Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue.

1)  Please explain where in the KH series the story takes place.

This is the story of the “beginning” of the KINGDOM HEARTS series; in other words, it falls into the earliest part of the narrative.

It takes place in the world of fairy tales talked about throughout the series, during an era before the Keyblade War.

There are many different keyblade wielders in the world, and you, the player, are one of them.
2)    How does Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ relate to the upcoming Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue?

All three titles within KINGDOM HEARTS Ⅱ.8 has a link to KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ in some way. You can see it most prominently shown in KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover – a brand-new, approximately one-hour long cinematic piece, which is depicted from the perspective the Foretellers, who gather the Keyblade Wielders. On the flip side, KINGDOM HEARTS Unchained χ is seen from the player’s perspective. By watching KINGDOM HEARTS χ Back Cover, the player will be able to get a glimpse of what kind of motive these supposed leaders are operating under behind the scenes.

And in KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD, which is the HD remastered version of the Nintendo 3DS game KINGDOM HEARTS 3D: Dream Drop Distance, you may noticed the Dream Eaters were a sort of foreshadowing. And the title that would act as a bridge between these two titles would be the latest installment in the series, KINGDOM HEARTS 0.2 Birth By Sleep, which is developed utilizing the technology behind KINGDOM HEARTSⅢ. It is a sequel to KINGDOM HEARTS: Birth By Sleep, and a short episode that follows immediately after the events of KINGDOM HEARTS Dream Drop Distance HD, but it’s a title in which players can get an early feel for KINGDOM HEARTSⅢ.
3)    You mentioned this before at E3 2015, but what was the inspiration behind the character Chirithy?

When we realized we needed some kind of character that navigates the players due to the nature of the game, I didn’t want a character that’s too self-asserting considering that they would accompany the players throughout the journey. Once that idea got rolling, then I thought a cat would be great, since you can’t tell what it’s thinking, but can still get along fairly easily with humans, so I went with my favorite, the Scottish Fold as my motif.

I liked the Meow Wow from KINGDOM HEARTS 3D: Dream Drop Distance, too, but I designed the eyes the way I did to make sure you do not get a sense of it being self-asserting. Some people might have the wrong perception that because I own Scottish Fold cats, I modelled the character after them, but it’s actually the other way around; a while after we began developing, I started to own two Scottish Folds. By the way, their names are not Chirithy.

4)    Aside from characters and world that appeared in the Kingdom Hearts series, what are some new characters and worlds that are unique only to Kingdom Hearts Unchained χ?

The game is currently progressing under a certain rule, so the only brand-new world would be “Daybreak Town,” the home town in which the players first start out, but there may be a possibility [of other worlds] should we continue providing service through the app.

In terms of new characters, there are not only the five Foretellers and Chirithy, but there are also key new characters named Ephemera and Skuld that appear and move the story.

5)    What aspect of the game do you think will appeal to fans? What do you think fans will get hooked on? (i.e. collecting medals, events, etc.)

One of the biggest pillars would be the sense of playing live, which is very different for existing KINGDOM HEARTS series titles thus far. You may have communication and cooperation, as well as the occasional competition, but the sensation of going somewhere and realizing there are people there and the world is moving is very unique to this particular KINGDOM HEARTS.

Along those lines, various events are being held frequently depending on the occasion, the medal collection element is key to your battles, we also offer a ranking element, and a unique story told only in this KINGDOM HEARTS, so I’m sure there is some kind of element that would pique your interest.

6)    What kind of costumes are included in the game? Is there a particular costume of a character that you particularly love?

There are so many different costumes already; of course you have the original designs, then Disney characters, KINGDOM HEARTS characters, and seasonal/special occasion designs, all for both male and female avatars respectively. Plus, you can mix and match the outfit elements, so I think the players can really bring out their individuality.

From what I’ve seen, the hairstyle of the KINGDOM HEARTS 3D: Dream Drop Distance version of “The World Ends with You” Neku matched up with the black coat of Organization XIII seem to be popular. Also, the KINGDOM HEARTS version of FINAL FANTASY VII Cloud costume and King Mickey’s costume are popular as well. If I were to choose, personally, I’d like the Cheshire Cat costume.

7)    Do you have a special message for the fans?

As mentioned in the beginning, this is the story of the start of KINGDOM HEARTS. In other words, there is no need for any prior knowledge of the series.

I would love for people who have not yet played KINGDOM HEARTS to take this opportunity to casually jump right in with a blank slate. And of course for our fans, you can approach and play this KINGDOM HEARTS in any way you like, so through collecting medals of your favorite characters, collecting costumes, and moreover becoming a part of the KINGDOM HEARTS world and experiencing the enjoyment of weaving your own story that leads to one of the biggest mysteries in the series, which is the “Keyblade War,” I hope you can further enjoy the upcoming release of KINGDOM HEARTS Ⅱ.8 and KINGDOM HEARTS Ⅲ, as well as the KINGDOM HEARTS that will continue beyond that.

In recent, "instance instability" happened in Tree of Savior so that players couldn't access dungeons through the matchmaking system and instead had to sit outside. In order to comfort players' hurt feeling, IMC Games will compensate all players with five dungeon reset vouchers which need to be claimed and used by April 9th, however, so don't wait around too long.

Tree of Savior

In today's patch, Tree of Savior boosted the monster respawn rate by 50% and restricted megaphones to level 40 and up. There was also a message for those experiencing severe latency: "Another important thing to note is that we are still in the process of tackling the big elephant in the room, 'server stability,' and would like to apologize for the connection issues that many of you experienced during launch week."

According to the press release, the cash shop in Black Desert Online is performing very well, which kinda impressed CEO Min Kim. "A game with a buy-to-play business model normally has a much lower conversion rate for paid in-game items compared to free-to-play games," explains Kim. "But Black Desert Online is recording a much higher pay ratio than the average 11 percent normally seen in free-to-play games."

Black Desert Online now boasts an average of 100,000 concurrent users and the game is expected to have near-monthly content update.
