Action MMORPG Magerealm Introduces New Hero Shadow Guard

0
0

Magerealm, the high action MMORPG from GTArcade, is ready to introduce a new Hero! Introducing Shadow Guard, a warrior shrouded in mystery that uses the power of the shadows to augment his ability to mitigate damage.

Origins

Shadow Guards originate from the ancient order of Battlemages. A Shadow Guard is a battlemage that has chosen to focus solely on mastering the discipline of shadow magic. But unlike other practitioners of this type of magic, Shadow Guards relies on its elusive properties not to avoid combat, but to face it head on and stand their ground. The strongest attacks will turn into glancing blows when contorted by the shadows. To a Shadow Guard, the shield is an archaic tool for fools.

Abilities

As a defensive tank Hero, the majority of Shadow Guard's skills have a main or side effect of increasing his survivability. Both his Shadowmeld and Dark Refraction passively increases his damage reduction, significantly reducing all incoming damage. His Dark Barrier skill has a relatively high chance of putting a powerful shield on his entire team with each of his attacks. Shadow Guard's Oblivion skill not only deals heavy AOE damage to all enemies around him, but also greatly reduces their chance to hit, further increasing his own survivability. Shadow Guard's skill set makes him the perfect tank for your team.

First Impressions of Chronicle: RuneScape Legends

0
0

The digital trading card game (TCG) genre is expanding at a rapid rate, which is making it harder and harder for new games to stand out and leave their mark on gamers. Anyone looking for a Hearthstone replacement has to sort through a dozen different games, and most of them feel like mere clones that don't do anything different enough to warrant a deeper look. Chronicle: Runescape Legends is anything but a clone, and offers one of the most unique spins on the genre I've ever seen!

Jagex's new TCG takes all the familiar components of card duels and presents them in a magical new way that provides a breath of fresh air for the genre. Imagine a card game having a baby with an old-fashioned quest-based RPG, and you'll start to understand what it feels like to play this game. If you have no idea what that means, just keep reading to get all the juicy details! You can also head on over to https://www.rschronicle.com/ to start downloading the game for free right now.
Overview
Chronicle: Runescape Legends has all the elements of a regular card game if you look very closely. There are cards of course, along with heroes to control them and a bucket of different stats that affect how duels shake out. But this game takes all those familiar pieces and totally changes the way you see and interact with them. Your hero is placed on a literal field of battle and has to overcome your own cards (as well as the opponent's) while accruing resources that help you win the eventual face-off at the end of the game (or steal a victory sooner if you're smart). So in summary, you're still collecting cards and building decks, but the matches themselves involve beating your own cards to death for rewards, and then trying to overcome your opponent while they do the same.
Game: Chronicle: Runescape Legends
Developer: Jagex
Release Date: March 23rd, 2016 (Open Beta)
MSRP: Free-to-Play / Micro-Transactions
Pros: Beautiful presentation, deep gameplay, balanced design
Cons: Inaccessible for genre noobs or super-casual players

Visuals & Sound
Most of the game's challening Hearthstone's throne fail to deliver the polish and charm of Blizzard's powerhouse TCG. Chronicle: Runescape Legends is one of the few that might actually surpass Hearthstone in that department. This game has a wonderful visual feel. It's "cute" and engaging, without straying too far into fantasy tropes or cliches. This is a game world that's fun to spend time in, and actually complements the gameplay instead of merely serving as a facilitator.

The world, lore, and characters are all borrowed from the ever-popular and titular massively multiplayer online role playing game Runescape, which certainly makes the game feel more alive and full of personality than rushed immitators. I'm not familiar with Runescape personally, but the heroes, cards, and battlefields are promised to elicit nostalgia among long-time veterans of the Runescape heritage.

Because most card games only exist on a two-dimensional playing field, this game stands out almost immediately. Your heroes take on miniature-style three dimensional personas that actually take swings and hop around the playing surface. Creatures on cards are also presented as full-bodied characters instead of flat chunks of presumed-cardboard. It all adds up to an "adventure" in every game that's actually fun to watch as it unfolds. The visual presentation brings you deeper into the world and keeps you engaged during long play sessions.

When it comes to the game's sound design, it lives up to the visual splendor. Everything is both well-designed and incredibly polished. There is a lot of personality and panache without compromising the clarity or intention of various sound effects. You'll definitely want to play with your headphones on, even though the sound isn't completely necessary for a competitive experience.

Gameplay & Controls
The gameplay of Chronicle: Runescape Legends is still a card-dueling game at its core, but the interactions are totally unique and the strategy involved in playing well is completely fresh. In each match you're basically going on an "adventure," and it feels like completing a quest in an RPG.

The cards you play represent creatures to overcome, interactions with other characters, or spells to be cast. The order in which you play your cards determines how efficient you are with resources, as each card can reward you with gold, heals, weapons, or other bonuses. If you do things out of order, you could die to your own creatures, run out of gold, or set your opponent up for a lethal strike. Do things in a smart, resourceful, and creative way and you'll arrive at the end of the game with a big weapon and loads of health to win a final duel.

At a broader level, there are a few different ways to play. You can play against real opponents on a ladder, head into a practice mode, or indulge in "Dungeoneering" (an Arena-style format).  There's a little something for everyone, so you'll never feel left out. The game also has robust statistics, collection management tools, and leaderboards to give you lots to looks at during downtime.

The game's controls are incredibly simple and easy to use. Every action felt responsive and smooth, and never once did I feel inconvenienced in any way, which is exactly what you'd expect from a game in this genre.

Value & Fun
Chronicle: Runescape Legends definitely makes your time feel valuable it at every turn. The pricing model isn't particularly forgiving or encouraging compared to other games, but the gameplay and style of the game are so rewarding that it's always fun to sit down for a match or shuffle through your collection. The strategy and depth of the competitive ladder is also highly rewarding for anyone who spends the time, money, and energy required to climb its upper echelons.

Chronicle: Runescape Legends is so new, interesting, and different that dilvulging some of your precious gaming hours to it is always rewarding. Instead of another dozen Hearthstone or Magic The Gathering clones stealing your time, hop into this magical world that's compelling to your senses and still scratches that strategic itch! It's free to play, fun to master, and enjoyable to its core. You can start playing now at https://www.rschronicle.com/.

First Look at Star Crusade CCG, the Future of Card Games

0
0

When it comes to the digital trading card game (TCG) genre, there's little doubt that Hearthstone currently reigns, and its success has opened the door to a number of imitators seeking their piece of the pie. With the seemingly-countless new TCGs arriving on the scene these days, it can be difficult to sort out the mere clones from the games that offer something new and rewarding. Deciding where to spend your time and money has suddenly become a real challenge!

Star Crusade CCG is one such new card game, and many doubters have already deemed it a mere Hearthstone clone that offers nothing new. I decided to play the game for myself, and I couldn't disagree more! Star Crusade CCG is not only a lot of fun, but takes the familiar Hearthstone formula and expands it in a number of compelling ways. I would even suggest that Star Crusade CCG looks a lot like the future of Hearthstone in both its gameplay and its Sci-Fi theme!

Overview
Star Crusade CCG follows the standard trading card game model. You collect cards, build custom decks, and duel opponents using randomly-drawn cards. It's set in a richly textured Science Fiction universe, includes 350 unqie cards, features six different factions, and offers various modes of play.
Game: Star Crusade CCG
Developer: ZiMAD, Inc.
Release Date: Early Access
MSRP: Free-to-Play / Micro-Transactions

Gameplay & Controls
First things first, Star Crusade CCG definitely feels a lot like Hearthstone when it comes to gameplay. There are heroes with unique hero powers, card effects are often mirrored, card stats function in the same way, and basic actions in the game operate identically. If you know how to play Hearthstone, you're going to feel at home with Star Crusade CCG within the first 30 seconds of loading it up.

Many people are condemning that familarity as a major problem, but I respectfully object to those claims. I think building upon the foundation of a genre-defining classic is well within a developer's rights, and even helps accelerate the genre into the future even faster! In much the same way that every First Person Shooter in history could be called a Doom clone, Star Crusade can rightfully be called a Hearthstone clone, which isn't inherently a bad thing!

Because of Star Crusade CCG's similarity to the Hearthstone gameplay model, it plays absolutely wonderfully. The action is quick, rewarding, and enjoyable at every turn. The gameplay is accessible, yet still offers real strategic depth at the highest levels. It feels fantastic to win, but it's still fun when you're losing.

As you get deeper into the game and spend time building your collection and ranking up, you'll start to notice how Star Crusade CCG has taken Hearthstone's basic premise and really started to evolve it. All the basic elements are present, but there are additional flourishes which make the gameplay surprisingly challenging and tactically engaging.

For instance, cards have more diverse and impactful effects, there is an additional layer of resources, and the game offers extra decision-depth with multiple "modules" that afford extremely granular levels of customization to your deck. You can also increase the size of your deck for a health boost at the cost of consistency. Basically everything that Hearthstone does right is expanded upon, enchanced, and improved.

Even the card design itself removes many of the flaws and foibles of Hearthstone's collection. In other words, random effects are less decisive, cards exemplify a more consistent design philosophy, and balance efforts are more calculated and consistent.

As with most card games, there's very little to say in regards to the controls. Everything feels smooth and responsive, and the controls never negatively impacted the experience.

Visuals & Sound
Star Crusade is a surprisingly attractive game given its small developer and "early access" status. The menus are clean and easy to navigate. The cards are sleek and readable. The artwork is a real treat. Even though hundreds of pieces must have been commissioned, they're all creative, expressive, and capture a wonderful Sci-Fi universe. The game's commanders are also iconic and loaded with personality.

The actual playing field is especially beautiful, with different alien worlds cascading beneath your cards, bringing to mind a real battle of spaceships and wits in the endless black above. There are various card interaction effects to give additional weight to the battles and keep your eyes locked onto the action.

The game's sound design is also quite strong. The music is sweeping and powerful, while the various card effects have the necessary punch and panache to keep your ears as entertained as your brain! When you combine the visuals and the sound, you're left with a welcoming presentation that aptly complements the great gameplay.

Value & Fun
When it comes to free-to-play games, it's hard to deny their inherent value. Star Crusade CCG can be downloaded for free, and it's very easy to get started (and start winning) with the basic cards. You won't feel curtailed by the monetization model at all, and you'll even begin unlocking cards at a surprisingly quick rate if you're dedicated and consistent.

As far as fun is concerned, if you enjoy Hearthstone, you will love Star Crusade CCG. It's going to be instantly accessible, but still offer you additional depth, a fresh theme, new cards to explore, and novel strategies to conquer.

I was as skeptical as anyone, but it's easy to get lost in the enormous and wonderful universe that Star Crusade CCG has created. Hearthstone might still be the king for now, but it's probably time for the kingdom to take a step into the future.

Mobile Game Review - EvilBane: Rise of Ravens "Full-Combat Action RPG"

0

EvilBane: Rise of Ravens
“Weapon focused Action RPG with Heavy PVP framework”

Gameplay
Dropped into a war between men and gods, you choose from three classes depending on your fighting style to aid the current King. In search of the sacred amulet, you open a portal to past to stop Lucifer from world domination. The tutorial is brief, as it walks you through EvilBanes menu and upgrade format. Then, like most Action RPGs you lose all your armor and abilities before beginning. Aside from your abilities, you have an attack and evade button. Your evade does a short range tumble, that honestly doesn't do much early game. It seems the attack and move speed of most enemies, are faster than your evade? Makes me want to just hack-n-slash, instead of strategically fight the mobs - and that might kill it for me.

With its optimized graphics, I haven't experienced any in-game lag or choppiness. EvilBane does seem to load the entire map, which means the quests will be kept short. The cinematics are great, the storyline isn't too bad, but it's unfortunate there isn't a way to view your story progress. This makes the importance of the campaign minimal, and doesn't allow enough player-to-hero connection. Maybe that was intentional, because switching between champions doesn't reset progress. It'll make leveling each class much easier, and help with long-term player retention.

They may have some (menu) screen calibration issues - at times the back button doesn't seem to function. (Using the mobile device's back button remedies this.) But, without a loading animation it feels frozen… if you experience this just hold tight, it'll load. I haven't experienced any issues in combat, and scanning over threads the PVP experience seems perfect. Playing in the arena it's finally live PVP, you should download the game for this reason alone. Guild battles are automatic, but gives you chances to organize and buff your team based on three 3V3 rounds.

Creativity
The first mechanic that separated EvilBane from the Meta, is its use of Abilities. Depending on the quality of your weapon, you can have up to four abilities. These abilities change in type and number depending on your weapon choice. This is my favorite mechanic by far when it comes to a skill tree. Upgrading multiple weapons will give you a variety of skills to choose from, without having to reset skill points. Obtaining legendary weapons of a different class is no longer a set back, when you have interchangeable heroes.

Aside from the dynamic creatures you encounter throughout the campaign, the time they spent on animating the attacks gives them personality. Fighting each boss takes time, and although you do have to tank damage - timing your abilities are key. When fighting in the arena, countering and opponents ability, or dodging them depends on your playstyle. Lastly, I just want to bring some attention to the combat sequences. They could have given you the standard death-fade sequence - most Mobile RPGs are choosing. Instead, you get a great cinematic - that makes you feel good about questing.
One issue I have to bring into notice, is how much privacy this game asks for. Compared to the standard MMO and RPG games, EvilBane is asking for almost three times as much. We also have to give them permission to keep running the apk in the background (com.netmarble.ravgl.permission.CD2_MESSAGE). I'd recommend moving this game more cloud oriented, and stop being so app-intrusive. For this, I bumped you down a point.

Value
EvilBane is doing a great job giving advertising during launch. But with the plethora of downloads, we are experiencing quite a few bugs. They don't seem to be streamlined errors, rather sporadic programming issues that seem to stem from in-game content synchronization. The main bug that could really hurt EvilBane, is the lvl 25 gift - that some players aren't receiving. Rushing through the campaign, speed grinding through all hours of the night just to be disappointed by a bug :/. Might want to send out a few presents Netmarble.

Free-To-Download. You guessed it, my first visit to the store and you're able to purchase everything. The chance of this game every making it into eSports is gone. Although I can guarantee it's success as a competitive action RPG, the choice to sell the game was a mistake. There is going to be clear level gaps when people start to Supercell, what's worse - your PVP ranking is permanent. Seasons will reset, but the average gamer will never have a chance at the top of the ladder. That being said, it's still currently the most entertaining Mobile Action RPG I've played this year.

League of Angels 2 Review - The Angels Have Indeed Transcended

0
0
League of Angels spreads its wings once again in a market already saturated with massively multiplayer heroism and fantasy, and does it with grace with League of Angels 2. Let's recall that the first game, having received numerous awards in 2014 and 2015, is still quite active in over 150 countries. What can we expect from League of Angels 2?

New Tale, New World
To start, story-wise the game will be quite different from what the setting of the first game got us used to. The developers announced in a recent article that the angels had "transcended", and it truly seems to be the case. Angels are no longer in such a vulnerable position that their fate depends entirely on a hero. Granted, as you progress in the story, they will be faced with quite dangerous circumstances. But it is also quite interesting to see how well they recovered from their state in the first game. They've thrived. So much in fact that since they had no true enemy, they ended up having conflicting ideologies among themselves, separating their race in three distinct factions; the Midas kingdom, the Celestial kingdom and the Tempest kingdom. You've guessed it, you hero and his/her allies will end up having to face other angels in battle, some believing your quest to be immoral, others being controlled, and so on.

In terms of graphics, the game also benefited from a complete overhaul. While I quite enjoyed the design of the first game myself (considering that it was a browser MMORPG), I found it hard to go back to it after seeing the work they've done on League of Angels 2. It was redesigned with a refined 3D engine, and the numerous animations and effects included do it justice as the next generation League of Angels. One thing that didn't change much, to the pleasure of most, is the clothes to skin ratio of the female angels.

Limited customization
Considering that the game is still in Open Beta, that is to be expected, but it should regardless be noted that it barely offers any character creation customization. You pick between a male and female character and are thrown into the game, where you can, however, acquire costume items like outfits and wings. Not that the game truly needs any hero customization with the dozens of angels that you can choose from to accompany you on your journey, but the class choice present in the first game would be a pleasant addition.

Paired with a mount system that offers additional skill as well as a relic equipment that provide players with large stat boosts and thus creates a notion of character build, it shouldn't be too hard for players to have a hero or even a squad they deem unique enough.

Character progression
The character progression in League of Angels 2 will keep you occupied for quite a while. The first thing to consider, and probably the hardest to achieve, will be the quality of your angels. There are the normal quality angels, basically fodder to be recycled for souls, the Epic quality angels from which your squad will be composed in majority for most of the early game (pre level 35), and the Legendary quality angels that will be your ultimate goal. Comparing them, my one and only Legendary angel has nearly twice the Battle Ranking of my best Epic angel, both being equally leveled and geared. These can be obtained through rewards, bought with diamonds, or through the Ritual Summon feature.

Your hero and angels can also be augmented through the use of Water, Wind, Rock and Mountain prisms dropped in Normal and Elite dungeons, providing them with higher stats and new skills. Want to push them even further? Simply use Bless Stones to upgrade their rank, increasing their stats by a fixed percentage, and leveling up their skills.

Then you will need to consider the equipment and relics your angels will be geared with, Legendary quality ones once again being your ultimate goal, and quite hard to acquire. Equipment can also be upgraded through the blacksmith, while relics can also be enhanced, and socketed with runes that provide huge stat boosts. These runes themselves can be combined and upgraded to offer larger boosts.

A deep gameplay
With League of Angels 2, it will be quite hard to get bored with the large variety of dungeon options available compared to the first game. You start with the story dungeons, also called Normal dungeons, to complete, offering gold, Exp and Exp scrolls, gems and angel summoning tokens, as well as the different prisms required to augment your hero and angels. Once you've completed all the Normal dungeons in a zone, you have access to its Elite dungeons, much harder challenges that offers rewards somewhat similar to the Normal ones, with the addition of Equipment and Hero shards. The only downside to these is that they require stamina to be completed, something that has yet to affect my progression in the game.

If you want a break from the basic dungeons, of simply need to kill time while you recover stamina, you can stop by the single player NPC for a number of other alternatives. The Arena provides players with diamonds and prestige, the Hero Trial that provides resources (gold, Mastery Stones, Relic Essence, etc.), the Abyss that provides equipment shards as well as currency for the Equipment Shop, and the Dominion that offers large amounts of Bless Stones, Refine Stones and gold. Simply put, these Single Player dungeons and quests will be your main source of equipment and character upgrading materials. Moreover, the Arena and the Dominion are basically PvP activities meant to pit your squad against those of other players, to see how you fare against them, and also to get build ideas.

Finally, there are also multiplayer activities that are basically co-op quests to be completed in what is called the Palace dungeon, as well as guild dungeons where you raid bosses with guildmates.

The one and only downside in this aspect of the game is that you will have little control during battles, sometimes having none. Your actions will be limited to picking when to use your ultimates, something that isn't present in certain modes like the Arena. Other than that, your control over the results of battle will be limited to building your teams properly, and coming up with the most effective formations for your angels.

A slightly intrusive but optional cash shop
League of Angels 2, just like the first game, is F2P. With such an economic model, the main way for the developers to monetize if it is through a cash shop. And they surely don’t miss any opportunity to show off the fact that it contains various items and packages that will save you a lot of time.

And that is all it is in reality, a way to save time. Indeed, cosmetics aside, there is nothing in the cash shop that cannot be acquired the traditional way. Even the main cash shop currency can be easily obtained in the game as I am personally sitting on 3000 diamonds (valued around $70) after just about 8 hours of gameplay.

Conclusion
While we have yet to see concrete results reflected in how the playerbase reacts, there is little doubt that League of Angels 2 has done a great job at surpassing its predecessor, and that in every aspect. Veterans should find their interest in the series renewed, experienced and new players alike having a whole lot to discover.

Uthgard: The Free Dark Age of Camelot Shard Open Beta Due in May

0
0
Uthgard, the free Dark Age of Camelot community server, is going to have the open beta test on May 7th, aka 26 days left, as announced on the official blog. As for this open beta, the main purpose is to help the develop team test the server stability and fix as many bugs as they can. Therefore, it will be a data wiped beta, meaning all your characters, accounts and items will be deleted at the end of the test before the actual relaunch. The beta duration time will totally depend on how quickly players find, test and report bugs.

So if you are interested in the open beta, below are several points that the dev team would like you to help test:
  • Login procedure: We want to ensure that it is easy to connect, and that no errors are to be found in this procedure
  • Progression: We want to ensure that progression is as close to 1.65 as possible, which means that we want to make sure that players are given the right amount of exp, the right amount of money, items, realm points etc while leveling. If you notice anything that looks like very slow progression, or very fast progression. Please let us know so we can adjust drop rates, xp gain, etc.
  • Pathing: We are the first freeshard to provide our players with fully functioning pathing, which we are very proud of. However this also means that there is a high risk of bugs still being present in our pathing system.
  • Class abilities: All classes have been completed while we were down, and while our testers have done a great job finding bugs with the affected classes, we want to make sure that they are working correctly. On top of that all classes have received new realm abilities, these also need thorough testing, as bugged abilities here can have major impact on the game balance.
  • RvR system: Our entire keep and relic system (along with our siege weapons) have been reconstructed. We need all functionalities of these to be tested as much as possible.
  • Exploitable bugs: While this could apply to all of the above, we are very interested in getting rid of all exploitable bugs. While it might be fun for a few players to abuse these bugs, it is important for the servers wellbeing that we get rid of these bugs as soon as possible. If we want Uthgard to live for a long time, we need to make sure no one can get an unfair advantage by abusing bugs. This might be the most important issue to investigate, and we hope our testers will do their best to find as many of these as possible and report them. Some examples of exploit: (a) a monster spawns in a place where it can be attacked but will not attack back. (b) an item can be salvaged for very high amount of materials.

Mobile Game Review: Plants War 2 - The Standard for Mobile MOBARPGs

0
0
"RPG style MOBA with nearly perfect mechanics" - Lost in the app store, with almost no advertising - this gem is nearly perfect.

Gameplay
You have three different plant heroes; Wizard, Warrior, and Archer. Using each, you must defend your forest from the animal baddies. Your initial goal in the main quest is to destroy your enemy's base, while completing any side missions for a 3-star rating. To do this you must take down enemy minions, destroy powerful towers, and fight menacing opponents. The only unit you control live is your hero, but your minions and base are customizable.

Each hero has 4 slots, from a library of 16 abilities you can level and equip them to your hero. Your abilities cost mana, which refills throughout gameplay. If you die, your death timer extends the longer your game continues. You have 5 minions that you can equip to your line up. The minions also have abilities and classes that improve with higher rating. You can also own one super minion, that you can manually release at lvl 6. Your hero starts each game at lvl. 1 - and as long as you stay close to combat you'll collect xp to level your abilities.

You have two different PVP modes, none of them are live. The first is a 1v1 MOBA, vs tiered skill ghost AI. Using your main hero, you have 10 minutes to take out your enemies forces. The second is a 3v3 arena, vs tiered skill ghost AI again. This is where leveling and equipping all of your heroes, comes into play. You are allowed to control your main hero, while the computer takes command over everyone else. The last hero standing, wins the bo1 match for the team.

Creativity
In essence, you're able to build your complete side of a 1v1 MOBA. Your base and towers have a small skill tree, that helps in later level combat. Your minions amass from hundreds of creatures that you collect through your travels. Having a lot of maps to play on, keeps the game entertaining and strategic. With the “Battle for the idol” on some maps, killing it spawns legendary minions to fight for the hero. This MOBA element is mainly campaign oriented, but when you switch to PVP - it gets champion centered.

4:33 studios did a great job spreading out the game content evenly. As I built my team and took to multiplayer, I soon figured how important each aspect of the game was. Most mobile RPGs, fill your menu with a bunch of obscured play options. In Plants War 2, you have a simple scrolling index that organizes all your playable content. Plants War 2 didn't use much creativity in missions and achievements, but at least with some hard work - the payouts worth it. Overall, I'm disappointed with the graphics engine and 4:33s choice to target the younger genre.

Value
Free-To-Download, and Pay-To-Win. Sadly, this game could never be competitive. Not only do you have way too many currencies, you're able to purchase them all in store. It would cost roughly $30-$60 to compete with the current meta if you started now. You'd spend that money on leaves, which in turn you could purchase skins, and treasure packs to catch up. Unfortunately the skins do give an unfair advantage, and you cannot acquire enough leaves in-game not to spend money.

Power is mainly based on equipment. The minions you're able to summon, focus on the MOBA elements only. Spending money on minion acquisition, will help you progress in the quest - but not team strength. The PVP element only uses your heroes, which stresses the importance of leveling them all. Not only that, the equipment isn't interchangeable between them like the minions are. It's like they give you a team, but not really - and that grey area causes a gimmicky feel.

With Revelation being confirmed for western release, the eastern fantasy MMORPG is known by more players. The game's developer NetEase Games told more about the game at the media conference on April 8, and they particularly went into details of the epic raid "Dragon's Abyss" which could take 2-3 months to complete.

Revelation tries to World of Warcraft level of end-game content

If you think Revelation is just another Chinese F2P MMORPG, you may be wrong. According to NetEase, Dragon's Abyss has 6 sectors and 10 bosses including a hidden boss which is closely tied to the game's story. It could take 2-3 months for a new guild to complete.

But that doesn't mean you have to be in a hardcore guild or have a full set of best gear to play this raid

The raid has 3 different difficulties for players of different levels. The easy mode can be played at around level 59, according to NetEase. New players just need to spend 2-3 weeks playing the game and he should be able to play the easy mode of the raid. By getting loot in the raid's easy mode, players will gradually be able to challenge harder modes. Or they can choose to ignore the harder modes because the best gear in the game is craftable.

The raid has been developed and polished for about 2 years

It's not the raid you see in average MMORPGs. The developer has spent about 2 years making this raid, including enhancing the visuals, improving the mobs' behaviors in the raid, and more.

You Can Watch World of Tanks' Match in VR Environment with an Official Headset

Wargaming is working with VR headset manufacturer FIBRUM on an official World of Tanks VR headset used to watch the game's matches in VR environment. Wargaming showed the a tech demo at World of Tanks Grand Finals 2016 in Poland and they stressed that this tech was in very early testing phase and hadn't been used in any of their games yet.

But it's promising and exciting, for you can wear the headset and watch tank battles from different perspectives by moving your head. You also need a Bluetooth controller to switch from tank to tank. You can freely go through the entire map, or make use of the bird's-eye view, or stay on a particular tank to see how it fights.
