Revelation Online (CN) Open Beta Account Registration and Download Guide

Chinese leading game company NetEase announced last week that its fantasy MMORPG Revelation Online (天谕) is going to enter official open beta phase on April 22nd. (For what can expect from the open beta, read our earlier report). Better news is that Revelation is confirmed to have an western version with possible European publisher to be announced soon. For those who want to give Revelation Online a try before the western beta, here's a guide on how to register an open beta account and how to download and install the game client.



Step 1: Register a 163.com account

1) Go to http://tianyu.163.com/fab/1/ and fill in the email you'd like to use to register and a password. Click register button.


2) You'll receive a confirmation email from NetEase, click "verify" link in the email.


Step 2: Download the game client

1) Revelation client download link: http://tianyu.163.com/download/


2) Click the "tianyu_dl_0730" file and start downloading.

Current version: 1.0.157       Client size: 14.7G



Step 3: Install the game

Go to the the folder where you have downloaded the client and start installing.










Then you should be able to create your character and play the game! Just you might have pings as the servers are located in China. If you encounter any problems registering and installing, feel free to leave a comment below.

Btw, here's a newbie gift package code which can be redeemed in the game directly if you are playing the Chinese version.

Clash Royale Arena 6-7 Deck: Ditch Freeze, Try Fireball + Hog Rider

You must have seen a lot of Freeze + Hog Rider if you are fighting at Arena 6-7. This combo is still good, but needs a lot of practice on the timing of dropping Freeze. If you find it difficult to master Freeze + Hog Rider, maybe Fireball + Hog Rider is worth a try.

 
Why Fireball?
Compared with Freeze and Lightning, Fireball is more flexible for it can easily counter Three Musketeers, Minion Horde and Barbarians at both attack and defense.
 
Drop your Minion Horde in the middle right behind the King Tower
Minion Horde will split to 2 groups and attack from both lanes so your opponent's Arrows can't kill them all. 
 
Always use Goblins to accompany Hog Rider when attack
Goblins and Hog Rider are the best partners with excellent power to damage buildings.
  
When to play Fireball?
When your Hog Rider is about to reach the tower, drop a fireball between Hog Rider and the tower to: (1) damage the tower, or (2) clear the defending units (usually Minion Horde and Barbarians).

If your Hog Rider is drew by defensive building (Inferno Tower, Tesla, Cannon, etc.), drop the Fireball on that building if: (1) you get at least 3 Elixir left after playing a fireball, or (2) you have at least a Cannon or Inferno Tower placed on your side.

Japanese Card Game Eternal Destiny Has Cute Characters and Voice Acting

Japanese developer Office 5656 is going to launch anime style card battle game Eternal Destiny on Steam on April 21. The game features over 500 different upgradable cards, cute and sexy cartoon style girl characters, fluid animations, professional voice acting, and 3 types of gameplay modes.



Back story:

Earth: the Millennium of humans has approached its end. History has come to a halt. Demons, angelic Kells, and human Cybers are in a three way conflict with no end in sight. Weary of fighting, people have placed their hopes on the Infinita Sacrament, said to have the power to change the world. An independent organization, "The Agency", was created to search for it.

Who will obtain the Infinita Sacrament and take command of the next Millennium? The future is shrouded in dark mystery. You are the new Agent.
The cards are inspired by famous myths, legends, and H.P. Lovecraft. You can simply upgrade a card by stacking two same cards. Mount upgrade system is coming to Skyforge, the fantasy MMORPG with flexible class system. You'll be able to develop the capabilities of your pet or upgrade your mechanical transports in the next update Reapers' Revenge which will be released on April 20.
 

 
You can upgrade your mounts in 3 different aspects: Vehicles Health, Call Speed, and Movement speed. These upgrades will be available through the use of Victor's Medals and will be active on all available mounts.


 

Having a larger variety to choose from now rewards in more ways than just filling your garage – The more mounts you have, the more upgrades become available to you! Additionally, each upgrade must be unlocked sequentially and the upgrades are not cumulative. That is to say, the available bonus will match your highest unlock for that selection!

Galactic Phantasy Prelude Review - Space MMORPG Perfect for Touch

“An Old-School Space MMORPG, perfectly designed for Mobile”




Gameplay
You're in complete control of your ship, attacking enemies in an vast 3D world. The amount of locations you're able to fly through are impressive for a Cross Platform Mobile MMO. There are two main views: the first is Galaxy view where you travel around the universe in 3rd person locating most of your tasks. Once at chosen location you switch into 1st person, here you have control of your weapon systems and live PVP combat.

Galactic Phantasys main economic objective is centered around trade. As you fly between galaxies looking for places to land, you can purchase items from the store or minerals from the mines. Transporting these minerals across the galaxy, and finding the correct planet with the best rates is half the game. The other half, is attacking other space pirates, as they try and complete their objectives. As you accumulate funds, you can purchase ship upgrades that make you viable in combat, or trade depending on your goal. With 5 different ship classes, choosing the correct three-man team as you plunder the galaxies riches is completely up to you.






Creativity
My first impression as I undocked from the Space Station, was "Wow, for a three-year-old game this is amazing." The controls are fluid and smooth, without lag as you target and shoot enemy ships. Your turn acceleration is tweaked perfectly, enabling sharp turns without fear of over-rotating. Your weapon zoom is intuitive to flight mechanics, I really don't see anything wrong with the flight design, GUI, or control systems. That said, the graphics are impeccable for what this game has achieved 3 years ago.

On a developer's perspective, not having to create interactive terrain should make the games processing easier. So why don't we see more Mobile MMOs with this much Open World detail and projectile accuracy? What Galactic Phantasy gains in gameplay, they lack in storyline. Docking at various locations only brings you into section screens, without any personality. The lack of NPCs makes the cold vacuum of space - a bit lonely at times. Here's where the importance of an active community sets in.

3 years after launch... the community is still as live as ever. Playing only a couple weeks, I've been PKed over 50 times :/. It's not that I'm bad, trust me - once you're targeted as low ranked, the pirates just mob you. Thankfully, deaths just cost a percentage of your cash - based on your level. Your spawn location is stupidity close to your death location, so you might get ganged up on repeatedly. For this reason, I'd recommend playing with friends.





Value
Galactic Phantasy offers a legendary ship for $15. Buy the time you understand the game, and acquired your first ship - this purchase would put you in top Tier fighting class. You're able to purchase all quantities of in-game currency, so the question comes back the the games monetary worth. Would I pay $15, to keep up with Galactic Phantasys curve? The game play itself almost makes it worth it, but the quality of the quests are slightly too low. If it weren't for the miraculous community still playing, this game wouldn't have made the cut.

Free-To-Play??? This game is the LINE between a competitive game and an objective based MMO. The level gap only makes the game more fun, and adds a fear factor to flying solo. Sure you can drop enough cash to be the most OP MF around, but without a real leaderboard - you’re just making yourself a larger target for other pirates. That mechanic is a deterrent, and an objective generator at the same time. The only issue is when clans come in, and collective spend a lot of cash. That would change the dynamic of the game, and the effect could swing either way. We need more Mobile games like Galactic Phantasy - Prelude, in both community and development. For that reason:

Hunters Adventure is a new member to NCsoft's publishing roster. Published by NCsoft, Hunters Adventure is a mobile RPG focusing on shooting action. Today, Hunters Adventure unveiled a new animation trailer.

The fast-paced game rhythm and strategy combat are two main feature of Hunters Adventure. In Hunters Adventure, two characters become a group. Player is able to play the role of Treasure Hunter who is discovering World Culturing Heritage.

Pokémon GO Field Test Now Available in Australia and New Zealand

When Pokémon GO was just announced in September last year, many Pokemon players were so excited. Though Niantic Labs has not yet announced the release date for Pokémon GO, the field test is being expanded to more countries. Following the successful test field in Japan last month, field test in now coming to Australia and New Zealand.

So if you are residing in Australia and New Zealand, you can sign up on the official website and you might have a chance to get a beta invitation for Pokémon GO. "Field testers will be randomly picked based on luck, experience with real world gaming, and OS type. Selected individuals will receive a confirmation email that will detail the next steps of registration. Interested applicants are also advised to make sure that they provide a valid email address as confirmation emails sent by the developers will only be sent once. If the email gets lost or sent somewhere else, it will not be re-issued."  Noted that all beta testers will be under very strict NDA. That's also why there's little actual gameplay videos around the internet because they are prevented from sharing info on the social media.


A while back, Pokemon Go was unveiled at the SXSW event held in Austin, allowing us to better understand how the mobile game would unfold. We've compiled a report for what we know about the game so far.

EA and Respawn has released the first teaser trailer for Titanfall 2, the sequel of the 2014 mech shooter. The trailer tells that the game will be formally announced on June 12 later this year on EA Play, the event EA sets up to replace the press conference at E3.  


 
Besides, the trailer confirms Titanfall 2 will also come to PS4 along with PC and Xbox One. Few is known regarding the gameplay but players can expect more substantial single-player campaign and more weapon variety in Titanfall 2.

Grand Cauldron and Games Workshop have just announced Battlefleet Gothic: Leviathan, a turn-based strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and based on the tabletop miniatures game, Battlefleet Gothic. The story's based on the Shield of Baal campaign, and you'll be able to experience that conflict playing as Imperial Navy, Blood Angels Space Marines, or Tyranid Hive fleets, with more playable races coming soon.



The game features two game modes. In the campaign mode, players will control the powerful Imperial Navy and deadly Space Marines fleets. They will have to protect the shieldworlds of the Cryptus system by eradicating the dreadful Tyranids from the map and winning the missions. In PVP mode, gamers can fight with their favourite fleets against their friends or other players. There will be a large selection of ships to choose from – with scores of warships to customize through earned weapons and improvements.

Diablo style MMORPG Devilian Online Mobile to Start Closed Beta Next Week

Gamevil, the Korean leading mobile game developer, has just announced first Closed Beta date for its hack 'n' slash Diablo style MMORPG Devilian Online mobile. The developer is currently recruiting 6,000 testers to hand on this hotly-anticipated game from April 19 to May 6 in Korea.



Devilian Online mobile is a mobile MMORPG that features similar graphics and gameplay to the PC version, and players can experience familiar characters, guild PVP and raid on the mobile devices. Besides, the mobile version also introduces the metamorphosis system which allows characters to transfer to powerful demons with brand-new abilities, attacks and combos.



For all testers who participate in this beta phase, they will be rewarded with in-game gold and items after the official launch. Devilian Online mobile is scheduled to launch globally in later 2016.

KOG Corporation has just announced that its free-to-play online action MMORPG Elsword will arrive in Taiwan region this month, and the global version is scheduled to be launched in the same time. 



Adapted from the same name PC MMORPG, Elsword mobile is a free-to-play, online action RPG that uses classic side-scrolling game mechanics in an immersive manga inspired world. The mobile version keeps the all elements of the original work, included art design, story and gameplay.



Meanwhile, it is also added some popular systems in mobile games, such as 3D Multi-Angle and Live3D-Avatar, allowing players to have more visually-stunning graphics and character. Besides, the operating system will be optimized for Smartphone. You can check out some screenshots below.

Clash Royale Arena 4-6 Deck Guide: High Win Rate Giant Skeleton + Buildings Deck

This deck was created by Clash Royale high rank player ID "小胖校长", one of the best players who is often in the top 10 rank. This deck was one of the decks he uses most often and it does not only work in the high arena but also works perfectly in the Arena 4 - 6, where most players would stuck there for a while.

Battle deck:


Replaceable cards: Musketeer can replace Baby Dragon; Poison = Fireball

Some tips:

1. Main strategy: defense, take advantage of the elixir, fightback.

2. Mulligan: when starting, try to see what your opponent plays first. If your opponent doesn't play anything, then put the cannon on board. Pay attention to what core troops and spells your opponent has in his deck. Don't play buildings at the early stage because sometimes, you play Barbarian Hut in one lane, your opponent will organize a wave of attack in another lane. You might lose a defense tower just by doing that.

3. When to place the buildings: see what sudden attack cards your opponent has, like Prince or Hog Rider. If you are positive that you can deal with them, place the buildings.

4. Where to place the buildings: if you have cannon in hand, it's better to place buildings behind the tower; if you don't, place the buildings in front of the King tower so it can attract Hog Rider or Balloon.

5. Place Barbarian Hut or Goblin Hut? The answer is Goblin Hut first and then Barbarian Hut. The 4 Elixir Goblin Hut is better to place in the early stage because Barbarian Hut will cost you 7 Elixir, which is pretty high. Place it when you've already gained some advantages over the battle.

6. How to play Giant Skeleton: normally speaking, Giant Skeleton is not used to attack but more as a defense unit, unless you are already sure that your opponent doesn't have enough Elixir to defend. Place the Giant Skeleton when your opponent plays a lot of small troops on board because they will all gone after the bomb. After all, play Baby Dragon + Spear Goblin to have a fightback or you can just place buildings.
 
7. How to deal with Hog Rider or Balloon: don't panic when a Hog Rider is coming. Normally speaking, you'll have a cannon in hand. Even if you don't, our buildings can also attract Hog Rider's attention. Calmly play cannon in the right place and place Baby Dragon or Spear Gobins around Hog Rider. Noted that your opponent may play Freeze along with the Hog, so pay attention to the placement of Baby Dragon or Spear Gobins to avoid them affected by the Freeze.


8. How to play with Prince/Pekka deck: use Spear Gobins to attract them or play Giant Skeleton. If your opponent has a group of troops incoming, don't hesitate to place Giant Skeleton.

9. How to play with buildings deck: oh, try to draw with your opponent. Whoever has posion, he gains advantages.

Have you seen a MMOFPS that utilizes a repetition-based skill system? I haven't. Escape from Tarkov is the kind of MMO shooter that makes use of the skill system usually found in sandbox MMORPG: the more a character performs a certain action, the better he becomes at it. 


 
For me, this is an interesting feature because Escape from Tarkov stresses on realistic FPS experience while it has a lot of skills that are improved through frequent use. And if you don't use a skill for a long time you will actually forget it by losing levels. How would it feel like?


 
So how does a skill upgrade occur? It’s fairly simple – skill upgrades are repetition-based, and, by performing any action, you are gradually upgrading the respective skill or skills, thus making consecutive performance better, quicker and more accurate.
 
As a result, your character will only improve in the skills that you use during gameplay.
 
Additionally, on every experience level gained, you will be granted an opportunity to level up one skill at your own discretion.

Musa and Maehwa are transliteration of Blader and Plum in Korean language. Do you like these names in the western version?


 
The Musa is a melee class that relies on high speed and fast reactions to stay ahead of the enemy. With incredible mobility and a specialty for AoE-focused attacks, the Musa excels in small-scale PvP. The Musa is at its best when dashing across the battlefield to dispatch enemies with powerful AoE attacks, but each uncalculated move can be deadly due to his lower defense.
The Maehwa is the female counterpart to the Musa class and boasts similar stats. Like the Musa, the Maehwa fights with a Blade and Short Bow while quickly moving about the battlefield to avoid enemy attacks. While both classes are melee oriented, the Short Bow affords the Musa and Maehwa a selection of ranged attacks used to knock down targets and provide an opening to deliver close quarters attacks. Unlike the Musa, the Maehwa specializes in one-on-one combat with the impressive ability to lock down single targets for an extended amount of time.
