Tree of Savior: F2P Launch Delayed, Founders Pack Price Increased

$

Following yesterday's 3000 accounts banned news, IMC Games today announced on the official blog that the Founder's pack on Steam has to be restructured to deal with the situation that "players can essentially purchase the Founder’s Pack at a lower regional price, purchase Tokens with the TP earned, and sell them on the market to obtain silver. Players in regions where the price is not discounted face a loss compared to them."

Therefore, IMC Games decided to send a request to Steam and increase the pack price, which they are apologizing for "sudden, drastic price increase". In addition, a South American server will be opening and team transfers will be opening as soon as next week. Also, different prices will be applied to the SA and SEA servers after transitioning to F2P and the Tokens purchased on SA and SEA servers cannot be traded on NA or EU servers.

Lastly, we’ve decided to raise the discount on our DLC products. We will be selling them at 50% off instead of the 30% originally planned. The content of the DLC products including the TP amount will not change. Players who have already purchased the DLC products previously will be able to buy the discounted packs as well, since they are treated as new products. This discount will start on the 21st as planned and will remain available until near the F2P transition date. These 50%-off DLC products will not take regional pricing into account as they will be discontinued before F2P and regional pricing implementation for the SA and SEA servers.

As for the F2P launch, bad news is it got delayed, "our goal is to finish transferring teams to the appropriate servers first before opening up our game to the general public. We expect the transition to F2P to happen sometime early to mid-May." the studio said.

LOYGAME, an online platform providing free browser games, is thrilled to announce their open beta for its new strategy RPG, Star of Heroes, begins at 7 a.m. GMT. on April 20, 2016. Players are welcome to be a part of the open beta testing at soh.loygame.com.

Star of Heroes is a hero-collecting tactical RPG web game that allows players to battle creatures from other factions and enjoy the fun of evolving their heroes power by equipping their team with an array of weapons and armor to become the ultimate heroes of the planet.

Users may battle their way through challenging stages to win gold, summoning new heroes into their collection by collecting hero fragments, enhancing their heroes’ power, and upgrading skills or weapons by leveling up or using special runes. Players can also prove the power of their team by defeating other players in the Arena. All of this does sound cool, but Star of Heroes also has a story to tell.

Warfare seems to be endless in the land of Star of Heroes. Heroes have no choice but to unify as a "Sentinel" or as a "Scourge" as they fight for daily survival before a greater evil emerges to threaten everyone. There are over 40 heroes for players to collect and control in this game. All the heroes have diverse personalities. And each has a unique skill.

The player is allowed to dispatch only five of their heroes at a time as a team combats enemies from other factions. The player, as the commander, needs to find the right strategy to maximize team power and unleash full hero skills to deal some pretty massive damage to enemies. Win or Lose, the tactics the commander applies will define the outcome of the warfare.

Features:

- Over 40 Heroes to collect, upgrade, and equip
- Each hero has their own special attacks and fighting styles
- Story mode with multiple sub-quests for players to explore
- Arena battles allow you to fight your friend’s squad and other challengers.
- Join guilds to receive special items and hire guild mercenaries
- Daily and weekly prizes for players

Any newer browser with Adobe flash version 11.4 can get a player into the action today. The beta will continue for the upcoming weeks and will reward players who come to play early before final release in the next few weeks.

First Person Action Fantasy RPG Kings and Heroes Release Date Postponed

Kings and Heroes is a first person action fantasy RPG exploring a rich fantasy world and conquer challenging dungeons by yourself or with up to 7 other people. Lately, Industry Games, the developer behind this game, announced the delay of official release to May 31st. During the grace period, developers will have enough time to improve these areas and provide a better experience.

Kings and Heroes – Official Announcement Trailer

We are very close to finishing our first title, but with our release date looming, we realize that there are still a couple of things that need additional work (in particular, some world content and crafting). Because of this we've decided to delay the release of Kings and Heroes until May 31st. This additional month will give us the time to improve these areas and provide a better experience. We feel it's something special that you'll want to play for a long time. Our plan has always been to deliver a great game and use Early Access as a time for testing and refining. We hope you'll be understanding of this delay and can bear with us as we improve a couple areas of the game. I know this additional time will be well worth it when you are able to join us in Everdale.

The game features a seamless open world, procedurally generated dungeons, and persistent content, all managed on dedicated servers. There are 6 different playable races including Orc, Goblin, Human, Dwarf, Elf, or Halfling. The current early access version is tested and optimized to be playable on the min spec system and play well on the recommended. During early access we will improve the overall performance, but our main focus will be debugging and optimizing all game systems. We are looking forward to feedback and will make decisions on gameplay aspects based on the feedback from the community. These aspects include difficulty, leveling, items, and group play.

[Topic] Former SMITE Cater DMBrandon Shuts Down Suicidal Donor

$

Sometimes all we want to do is be lazy and enjoy some good and fun with video games, but don’t want to play it. Just watching it will do, and sometimes you might even find that a streamer made your day, and you end up donating a bit of money, leave a small message.

However, what if that message was saying that the streamer saved your life and was suicidal previously? Many streamers would thank the donators or give something inspirational that could help motivate people that leave messages like that, but DMBrandon of Hi-Rez took it a bit differently during a SMITE stream.

According to him, he believed that the fan was selfish and a terrible asshole who needed to learn how to deal with depression properly. Anyone that disagreed and the fan himself should just watch another streamer instead, and adds on top that the person was an example of a person “who spouts on fucking uneducated bullshit.”
It seems like not many agree with you, Brandon.

This caused a major outlash from the community, especially on reddit with the thread linking to a long twitter post posted by DmBrandon himself. In the post itself, he speaks about how he had been attacked because of this and said that he “couldn’t believe what [he] said” because he “certainly did not mean it for it to come out as it did.” He also mentions that he had been dealing with a lot of stress with his lifestyle and keeping up appearances at events.  This then lead to him leaving the casting team and go to New Jersey to focus on streaming and charity work for the rest of the year.

Hi-Rez’s president Stewart Chisam issued a statement to Eurogamer regarding this, saying his company subsequently had made a contribution to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.  Some of the things he mentioned within it were that they care about their community deeply and “take topics like suicide, depression, and mental illness not lightly.” They then add that while their employees have the freedom to have their opinions, they need to respect other’s values.

I will say right now that I advocate freedom of speech and that I like when people voice their opinions- in a respectful matter, that is. This guy was being funded by the studio to play a game, and a game people love and would watch for entertainment, not to be enraged at over a donation and a message. Respect and being able to speak about serious issues such as this is essential, and if anything, people dealing with these issues should be able to thank people that have been helping them and not be replied to with such harshness. These, at the end of the day, were his fans, and usually fans will be inspired, and he had become a role model for others. There wasn’t even a real apology for them.

Do you think he was in the right?

Areia Games Did an AMA for Bless Online But Only a Few Answers Been Given

I don't know how you feel when you see the news that Bless Online, one of the most anticipated Korean MMORPGs, is going to be published by Aeria Games in North America and Europe. In order to get closer to the community, Chris, Aeria Games' Senior Product Lead in charge of Bless Online, opened a AMA post in Reddit, trying to answer questions popped up by players.

While many questions have been raised in regarding the pay to win, version differences, the business  model, censorship, beta plans etc, a few answers of them have been given as Chris said "we just started working on the game. We'll look into that and get back to you later." For the possible pay to win impression that Aeira Games used to leave for players, Chris gave the following the answer:
Well, I understand your concerns and I share them. As a player, I really understand where you're coming from. As a guy working on games, my stance is: fair F2P is good for user retention, P2W is not (maybe for the spenders, but not for the entire population of a game). In my role as a Product Lead, I'd like to focus on retention.
If you are curious about the beta plans for Bless Online, Chris told the community internal alpha test will begin soon but the beta could still be months off. As for the IP block, Aeria is focusing on "Europe (ex-Russia) and North America (incl. Mexico)" for Bless.

Although not many concrete answers have been given, Chris is very enthusiastic about Bless's potential: "This game is one of the greatest MMORPGs ever created. We will be running the game as a service and you, the community, will be the judge of our success. The game looks brilliant, many of the systems are well thought through and designed. I think it brings the potential to being a big hit but we will have to work really, really hard to deliver."

However, unlike Dust 514, Project Nova will be exclusive to PC, and is intended to be "a complete reimagination of what it's like to be on the grounds of New Eden," the region of space where EVE Online is set.

The playable demo presented at EVE Fanfest is 6v6 based on a stronghold match format where two teams acting as rival mercenaries battling to capture a series of control nodes. There are three mercenary types (heavy, medium, and light armoured) along with six weapon loadouts.
