Today Netmarble Games, a Korea-based leading mobile game developer, announced the pre-open Beta for Stone Age Mobile is now live in Korea from May 18-22.
This Stone Age Mobile, as shown in the title, is a stone age themed MMORPG. The new turn-based mobile game adopts the same features from PC version and optimizes it for the mobile gaming experience by the advanced 3D graphics. The game sets in a world where players could capture and breed various prehistoric pets, such as dinosaurs. Players can engage in real-time PvE or PvP combats with them.

Chronicles of Elyria is definitely one of the most promising MMORPGs in development. The project achieved the $900,000 goal in Kickstarter just days ago. When the game releases, players will have a lot of terrain to explore. According to the developers, it will take players half a year to cross the continent.
The planned size of a single continent is 256km x 128km. Not nearly the size of the US in terms of actual geography, however when you take into account the rate at which time passes it scales to about the same size as the US.
As an example, it takes 1/2 a year in-game to traverse the continent, it takes the same time for someone to traverse the US.
In terms of actual land, it's almost exactly the size of Taiwan and larger than over 50 different sovereign nations.

Just a couple of days before the official launch of Blizzard team-based shooter Overwatch, but game fans are already hype about the game-related stuff such as female characters, trophies and more. So Overwatch is only a few days away from its official release and as you can tell from the numerous articles, videos and posts all over the internet the past few days after the open beta ended, the hype is real!
What is Overwatch?
At this point, it would be hard to find a gamer who never even heard of Overwatch, regardless of game genre preferences. Nevertheless, I am obliged to enlighten you in case you doesn’t know about it.
Overwatch is a class based First Person Shooter, published by Blizzard. It is Blizzard’s first attempt to the shooter genre since the cancelled Starcraft: Ghostgame.

Overwatch had a brief open beta period which ended a few days ago. The game was available for everyone to play to their heart content.
And so I did.
I have to admit that before playing the game, I was a bit skeptical about it. I already knew that there was a huge hype about it and having experienced the same scenario with Heroes of the Stormwhich left me with a huge hole in my chest, I was worried that Overwatch may turn out to be a fancier, cheap imitation of Team Fortress 2.
And I was wrong!
At first, the plan was to play the game just enough, so I could get a good grasp of it and write a review, but it didn’t go that way. Instead, I found myself playing throughout the whole Open Beta event because I was sincerely having fun.
Let’s take a look at what the game has to offer.
THE GOOD
Characters
Let’s start with the characters. Overwatchhas a total of 21 characters; note that they will all be available to play upon buying the game, no need to unlock them with in-game currency.
Blizzard has done a fantastic job, creating Overwatch’s roster, featuring all kinds of colorful, crazy, distinct-looking characters to play with. And also, it is worth mentioning that much detail was given to each character’s lore.
As someone who pays attention to things such as the lore in a game, even if that games is a multiplayer FPS or a MOBA; I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that there is a detailed backstory for each character, explaining why he/she fights.
Gameplay-wise now, during the beta, I’ve played with every character at least in two different games and I have to say that each character feels unique and enjoyable in his own way.
As I’ve mentioned before, Overwatchis a class based game. Each character falls under one of the 4 categories, Offense, Defense , Support and Tanks. However, that doesn’t mean that a Tank character is solely for tanking or a Support for healing and buffing. The characters’ abilities and guns are what really defines their role.
For example Tracer, an offense hero and Overwatch’s poster girl, excels at hit & run tactics, while Pharah, another offense hero, specializes at blasting her enemies from afar with her rocket launcher.
Another example is Winston and Reinhard. They are both tank heroes and while both can march forth and tank damage with their deployable wall. Reinhardt is better suited at tanking damage and providing cover for his teammates whereas Winston’s specialty is to jump around the battlefield, zoning out the enemy team and chipping their health away with his Tesla cannon which does chain-lighting damage to anyone in its range.
It is obvious that a lot of effort has been put into every character’s kit and weapon’s control to have that result. I never felt that I was playing a ridiculously overpowered character or an underpowered one. Each character has his strengths and weaknesses and each one has something different to offer to the team.
Game Modes
There are currently 3 standalone maps, and a hybrid one, which combines two of the of the other modes.
The games modes are:
Escort: A payload map, where the Attackers have to escort a floating car toward the delivery point, while the Defenders must halt the Attackers' progress until time runs out.
Assault: A capture-the point-map where the Attackers and the Defenders must attempt to take or defend capture points across the map.
The attackers' goal is to capture objectives, while the defenders must maintain control over them until time runs out. Control: On Control maps, two teams fight over a series of objectives. The objectives are chosen at random and whichever team completes two out of three objectives wins the game. There are no repeatable objectives though, each new objective area is located in a different part of the map. Hybrid: This map is a combination of Escort and Assault. The game starts with an Assault and ends with an Escort.
The maps are as vibrant and colorful as the characters. Each map is based off popular places from countries from all over the world and features many distinct elements from their country of inspiration.
Every map is carefully structured so that there is room for any kind of combat. From tiny, narrow spaces for quick skirmishes, to elevated vantage points with long line of sight for sniping, to tactically placed choke points for ambushing and defending.
Strategy and skill curve.
Easy to learn-Hard to master.
Overwatch is one of those games. When you start the game, you are prompted to play a brief tutorial which explains you the game mechanics and controls. After that you are ready to jump into the game and have fun.
I also like the fact that while in a match, the game provides you with hints about your gameplay and also makes suggestions to you about what kind of character your team is lacking.
For example, I was playing an Assault map as a Defender and the game brought up a notification telling us that there were no Builders in the team, characters like Bastion and Torbjörn. Builders excel at covering choke points with their deployable turrets and are a great asset when you are defending objectives.
Also, many times when I died to certain characters, notifications popped in my screen offering me hints about how to deal with that specific character who killed me.
For me, that is a big plus for a game. Instructing, the newbies about the game mechanics in any kind of game might sound simple, but can be quite tricky. Fortunately, Overwatch does a great job teaching you the basics and takes it one step further by offering you those hints to help you improve your play. Rumor has that with Widowmaker if you do a 360 no scope and hit an enemy, you do double damage. Why hard-to master then?
Well, in Overwatch just like Team Fortress 2 when you die you can choose to respawn as another class or in Overwatch’s case as a different hero. The key to becoming a better player relies for the most part on that simple mechanic.
Learning which character better fits in each situation and changing to that character is something that can only be learnt over lots of hours of gameplay. Those computer hints are good for newbies, but when we talk about pro-level, intricate tactics and strategies are brought on the table and that’s something that the game cannot simply compute.
That constant in-game swapping between the heroes is what really gives Overwatch potential of becoming a great competitive game. Other factors such as, the character’s weapon and abilities, the game mode even the map you’re playing on, further deepen the game’s strategy and are also things you have to take into consideration when forming your team.
Lastly, I feel that the lack of a team deathmatch mode is a positive thing in my opinion, because the game isn’t about picking a hero and competing for the highest kill count. It is about getting the right combination of heroes and work towards completing a certain objective along with your teammates.
The Bad
I don’t think that there is anything really bad with game as it is now. Surely, improvements to matchmaking and ranked games could and should be made in the future, but the reason I included a Bad(s) section for this review is for one thing only and that is the spectator mode.
Painful Spectating
Have you ever spectated CS: GO? Or COD? Or Battlefield?
If so, then you already know that during spectator mode, the camera hops between each player’s POV after a set amount of time. Nonetheless, in these games, it is fairly easy to tell what’s going on from a quick glance.
In CS:GO, there are the Terrorists and the SAS.
In COD and Battlefield, depending on the version, there are different models, but overall they all fall under the same motif. TEAM 1 VS TEAM 2
In those games, you can tell immediately who’s who. And to which team do they belong. The problem with Overwatch is that with all those different looking characters, each one with own unique abilities, the spectators can get easily confused if they are not familiar with the game.
But that’s not all!
A familiarity with each character and his abilities is soemthing you naturally obtain after a couple of weeks of playing the game. The main problem are those colorful gun effects, flashy explosions and fancy animations whic no matter who's POV yu're looking at, they seem to be constantly going on everywhere. As such, it is normal to feel overwhelmed when watching an Overwatch stream.
My opinion is that if Blizzard wants the game to grow and become a popular competitive e-sport, it will take quite a lot of effort and experimentation until they finally find something that works.
OVERALL VERDICT Overwatch is a game that I would recommend to FPS and non-FPS fans alike. You don’t have to be good at FPS to learn-play-and enjoy Overwatch. As I’ve mentioned the game does a very good job tutoring the basics while also maintaining a high-ceiling skill cap. It combines FPS and MOBA elements in a surprisingly good way without creating imbalances between each hero and making the game purely a contest of skill and teamwork; I believe that the fact that it has all characters available for everyone is the main reason for that.
Still, a competitive game is truly successful when it hits is big in the e-sport scene and for that, it needs a good spectator mode which Overwatch is currently lacking. However, Blizzard is a huge company with a high budget and much experience under its belt, if it can be improved , then they will surely make it happen sooner or later.
Until that happens though, let's just sit comfortably and enjoy the game as gamers.

Card Analysis
Spear Goblins: A versatile card. a) Drop it in the beginning to cycle cards. b) Use to counter Prince/Mini P.E.K.K.A/Giant Skeleton. c) Place behind Barbarians.
Barbarians: Drop behind tankers to take out supporting troops. If there are AOE troops in the supporting troop, throw a zap on them. It’s wise to use Barbarians for defense and then counter push.
Minion Horde: Drop them when your opponents’ Arrows/Wizards cool down. They can be used to finish Balloon quickly. Besides, when your Goblin Hut summons many Spear Goblins, your opponents may rush to arrow them. It’s the best timing to start Minion Horde + Barbarian push.
Zap: After horrible troops cross river, just zap them! If your opponents have too many supporting Goblins, zap is enough to deal with them. Also, if you want to make a big push, you can zap horrible troops to have them retarget.
Goblin Hut + Barbarian Hut are irreplaceable in this deck. Drop one of them in the middle of two Arena Towers when your opponents have Hog Rider/Balloon/Giant/Golem. And another can be placed behind Arena Towers. You had better place huts loosely to prevent Fireball/Rocket.
Musketeer can be used to counter Baby Dragon/Wizard/Witch/Ice Wizard/Balloon. Don’t drop Musketeer next to Arena Tower when your opponents have Fireball/Wizard in hand, and drop Spear Goblins away from her.
Fireball can be used to take out Musketeer/Barbarians/Minion Horde. (The card level is really important, so upgrade Fireball first) If you are lucky enough, fireball can also do some damage to Arena Tower.
Match Ups
Spawn decks: Try your best to drop as many huts as possible.
Hog Rider/Balloon: Drop Goblin Hut/Barbarian Hut in the middle of two Arena Towers. Use Spear Goblins + Musketeer to counter Freeze+ Hog Rider. If your opponents also have Goblins to support Hog Rider, then put your Musketeer in the middle of two Arena Towers.
Golem + Poison: Play defensively and wait for counter push. Drop Barbarians and Zap behind Golem to take out Wizard/Bomber. Put Barbarians behind Golem to finish Musketeer/Goblins. Place Spear Goblins to counter Valkyrie. If your opponents throw Poison on your Arena Tower and drop tankers on the bridge, just use Minion Horde to take them down. (Of course, you should take care of the supporting troops first)
P.E.K.K.A: Try your best to kite it, so that your two Arena Towers can join in defense. (Of course, you should take care of the supporting troops first)
Bomb Tower: Don’t drop your Barbarians blindly, just use them for defense. In overtime, drop as many huts as possible. And then place Spear Goblins + Musketeer on the bridge. Zap Bomb Tower and Arena Tower. Of course, you need to know what your opponents have in advance.
Poison/Fireball: Drop your huts in overtime and keep Barbarians, Minion Horde/Musketeer in hand to bait Poison/Fireball. After that, make a strong push.
Elixir Collector: Your opponents will have elixir advantage, and start a push first. You just need to play defensively.
Tips:
1. Drop Barbarians behind Giant Skeleton.
2. Throw Fireball on Wizard/supporting troops.
3. Use Minion Horde to counter Valkyrie.
4. Zap Goblin Barrels
5. Fireball + Zap to take out Three Musketeers

CCP Games today announced that they are developing "Gunjack Next," the new sequel to the best-selling game Gunjack, which is currently available for the Samsung Gear VR, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive VR platforms. Tian Fortress reigns supremacy in Space because it is the largest battleship. Being regarded as a moving fortress, it can affect tides when it moves.
Battleships are equipped with large caliber cannoons and heavily armored, making it good at long-lasting battles. Of course, its movement speed is slow.

At the "NetEase 5·20 press conference“ hosted in Guangzhou, China today, Microsoft, Mojang and NetEase announced a five-year exclusive agreement to license Mojang's Minecraft mobile and PC editions to NetEase affiliate in mainland China. As part of the agreement, Mojang will develope a version of Minecraft tailored for the Chinese market and release it in partnership with NetEase.The official website for Minecraft is live now. Minecraft is a world-renowned sandbox game that enables players to adventure in uncharted realms, collect resources and build in an infinite world.
Minecraft officially launched in 2011, and has received numerous global awards and accolades. There are more than 100 million registered Minecraft players of all ages in nearly every country in the world.
Minecraft features multiple game modes and offers players limitless ways to play. In survival mode, the players gather resources to keep themselves alive and build shelters and other contraptions. Card Analysis
Barbarians: Mainly used for defense. They can take out Hog Rider/Dark Prince. After defense, drop your own Hog Rider to counter push.
Ice Wizard: A nice AOE damage dealer, drop behind Hog Rider to take care of small troops. On defense, he can melt down Witch/Dark Prince.
Valkyrie can be used to deal with hordes of troops.
Fireball can be used to take out Barbarians
Goblins are used to distract enemies
Freeze seems like it lasts forever, both on offense and defense.
Battle Strategy
In the beginning, you can drop Elixir Collector behind Arena Tower. After a successful defense, drop Hog Rider + Ice Wizard to make your push. Have Freeze ready to win a few seconds for Hog Rider. Especially in double elixir time, you should make the most use of Hog Rider to confuse your opponents.

After two years of development, Warhammer 40,000: Regicide is now officially available on iOS platform at a price of $3.99. The game combines the classic strategy with the gore and brutal kills expected from a Warhammer game. Warriors from various Ork clans and space marine chapters stand in for your pawns, rooks, and so on, each unit with special abilities and gory finishers that reduce enemy pieces to crimson mist.
There are two distinct modes in Warhammer 40,000: Classic Mode and Regicide Mode. In Classic mode, you can sharpen your tactics in both single and multiplayer games on traditional chess rules. While the Regicide mode includes both chess-style movement and an action phase where you can unleash special attacks and faction abilities in turn-based tactics.
Tencent Games has just announced at a recent press conference a major update for FIFA Online 3, which implements a new PvE mode inspired by UEFA Euro 2016. Players can choose a European team, playing against other teams in Europe for the highest honor. It's an interesting detail that players can also choose China to play the UEFA Euro 2016 in the game.
The other major new feature is 9 new legends, including Ballack, Trézéguet, Raúl, Materazzi, Stam, Rivaldo, Kahn, Verón, and Cafu. It's worth mentioning that Ballack is invited to the press conference to reveal the new legends for the game. Being asked about whether he would become a soccer coach in the future, he says "maybe." He mentions if he's still working in the soccer realm and doing jobs in US and Germany.
Last but not least, FIFA Online 3 will get another data update that reflects the latest player transfers in the real world. Chinese players will be able to play a feature that's similar to betting, and players will get rewards if the team they bet on wins.
Team-based shooter Overwatch will be launched in five days, and Blizzard is currently teasing a new short about Soldier 76 that takes places on Dorado for Monday. Now it looks like we have one more thing to expect next Monday since earlier today, a French theater chain put a teaser image claiming that a new hero Sombra would be unveiled, but then it was backtracked and said it was a typo.
Fans on Neogaf has investigated the rumor and shared some interesting clues. Let’s take a look:
1.) Blizzard has said they're currently testing two new heroes, and implied they're either a Support and a Tank or two Supports.
2.) The map of upcoming short takes place on is Dorado. This gives us our first clue. Way back in November, people noticed that there's a table in Dorado with files for Soldier 76/Jack Morrison and Sombra. Given Soldier 76 is Jack Morrison, this only leaves the mysterious Sombra file, which would fit with a Soldier 76 vs. Sombra animated short.
3.) As new maps were added into the game during the Spring, pictures of a mysterious hooded figure, sometimes with the name Sombra attached, started appearing in other new maps such as Route 66, and we started getting a much better picture of her:
4.) Reaper has a dialog line that says "Where is Sombra when you need her?" This implies she's a field agent and presumably a villain, something the game is rather low on (there are only five right now between Reaper, Widowmaker, Junkrat, Roadhog, and Symmetra).
5.) In the first GameSpot Overwatch video, there's a sniper scope with a similar symbol to the one on Sombra's mask.
6.) In a later GameSpot video, they really messed up and actually have her in the character selection screen and you can see she's in the Support section.
7.) Some people seem to think that Sombra is Pharah's mother given she has some similar clothing elements like the jacket collar and is also a sniper. Pharah's mother is supposed to have died at some point in the past, but Jack Morrison (Soldier 76) and Gabriel Reyes (Reaper) were also supposed to have died in Overwatch's civil war, so it's entirely plausible she """died""" in the same event. It's worth noting that Reaper wears his exact same old outfit, but with a black trench coat and mask added, and it's very Blizzard like to use the exact same plot gimmick on three separate characters, so this isn't an entirely implausible theory. I've included an image of the old Overwatch group below if you want to make comparisons.
