Clash Royale: Getting to Arena 7 with Pig Push Deck in 18 days

$

0
Hog Rider is the most popular card in Arena 5-7, and today I am going to recommend Zap + Fireball + Hog Rider deck to you. This 046 deck (no epic card, lvl4 rare card, lvl6 common card) helps me to get Arena 7 in 18 days. Here are two screenshots using the same deck.

Because I don’t have Lighting, so I just use Fireball. And this 3.1 elixir deck is really awesome!

Battle Strategy:
Many beginners just copy others decks but have no idea about how to use them. Therefore it’s important for you guys knowing how to attack and defend.

On Offense
Hog Rider + Spear Goblins/Goblins: if your opponents drop a defensive building in the middle of two Arena Towers, you need to make Hog Rider jump over the river to attack Arena Tower directly. (pig push skills at the bottom of this page). After that, have your Fireball/Zap ready. Use Zap to counter hordes of troops, and have Fireball to counter Barbarians. Of course Fireball cannot take out Barbarian at the same level, but it can knock them back to win a few seconds for Hog Rider. And our Arena Tower can take out these Barbarians after they cross river.

On Defense
Skeletons/Spear Goblins can be used to distract Prince/Mini P.E.K.K.A/Giant Skeleton.

Minion Horde can be used to take out tankers or flying troops like Giant/Balloon/Baby Dragon.

Bomb Tower is perfect to annihilate ground troops. Fireball can quickly finish Mini Horde/Goblin Barrel/Barbarians/Three Musketeers and do some damage to the Arena Tower at the same time.

Zap can be used to finish Goblins/Spear Goblins/Skeletons/Minion Horde

Weakness
Hog Rider is the main DPS in this deck, if your opponents use hut spammer decks with Rocket/Mortar, it would be difficult for your Hog Rider to reach Arena Towers.

Also, if you meet Giant + Wizard combo, it is hard to win for Wizard can quickly take out our Mini Horde/Goblins/Spear Goblins/Skeletons.

But luckily these combos are not common, so this deck is enough to help us to get Arena 7!

Pig Push Skills
For most defensive builidings
1.Place the hog rider at the far edge of the river and instantly put your goblins or spear goblins right beside him.As the goblins/spear goblins/skeletons spawn, they slightly pushed the hog to the side forcing him to do a little jump over the river which allowing him to completely ignore defensive structures.

For Tesla, there are two unique cases
1. When the Tesla is placed perfectly in the center of the arena and 3 tiles away from the river, the hog rider will bypass if placed on the right side. However, we cannot do the same on the left.
2. When the Tesla is placed perfectly in the center of the arena and 4 tiles away from the river, the hog rider will bypass the Tesla both on the left and right side.

Clash Royale Strategy on How to Counter Legendary Cards

$
0
0

There were only 2 legendary cards (Princess & Ice Wizard) in Clash Royale but after the May 3rd update, legendary cards have been increased to 5 (Leva Hound, Miner & Sparky). The chance to get a legendary card is pretty low if you are a free-to-play player so here's the problem - how to deal with them if your opponents happen to have them in their deck.

Ice Wizard

[Practicality]: ★★★★★
[Adaptability]: ★★★★★

Brief annalysis:

Ice Wizard is really a solid card with great performance in the battle. With only 3 elixir, he can slow down the enemy movement speed and attack speed, which is kinda the last thing you want to see in the battle. Ice Wizard's HP is not bad too. With 700 hitpoints, Fireball can not kill him. It's nearly an almighty card and it can be played either as offensive or defensive, which can be added in any type of decks.

How to counter:

You can only wait Ice Wizard entering into your territory and after he has a target, use small troops like Goblins or summon Barbarians to deal with him.

Princess

[Practicality]: ★★★★★
[Adaptability]: ★★★★★

Brief annalysis:

Princess in my opinion is the best legendary card in Clash Royale. With only 3-elixir cost, she is perfect as she has an awesome attack range so that she can shoot the opponent Arena Towers from the opposite side. Therefore, she is the most often used legendary card. Though her HP is very weak with only 216 hitpoints, so level 1 Princess can be killed by level 8 Arrows. However, Arrows can effectively counter Minon Horde and Goblin Barrel so Princess can be used to lure out your opponent's Arrows.

How to counter:

Due to her low HP, level 1 Princess can be killed by level 8 Arrows. If the Princess is doing damage to you near the bridge, small troops can kill her easily. Also new legendary card Miner can counter her as well.

Leva Hound

[Practicality]: ★★★☆☆
[Adaptability]: ★★☆☆☆
Brief annalysis:

When watching the new card announcement, I thought it would be a powerful card. The high HP mades me feel it is a bit like Golem and it can also spawn pups on destruction. But how's it in real battle? Well, not that good. Firstly, the elixir cost is too high at 7 but the DPS is too low, even lower than Goblins. Secondly, the movement speed is very slow and the 6 Lava Pups show after it dies don't have high damages as well. However, as a big air troop, it can still work with some other air troops, such as Balloon. Lava Hound is playing as a tanker to soak damage so Balloon will have more time and space to attack the tower. It can also cooperate with Sparky while Lava Hound can cover for Spary and buy it more times to attack.

How to counter:

It's simple to deal with Lava Hound. Minion Horde or Inferno Tower can deal with it perfectly or you can even leave it alone due to his low DPS.

Sparky

[Practicality]: ★★★★☆
[Adaptability]: ★★★★☆

Brief annalysis:

When first seeing Sparky, I think you guys must be shocked at its extremly high DPS (1300 area damage). 2 shots will take the Archer Tower down. Basically, if your Sparky can hit once, you already are taking advantage of it. However, its elixir cost is a bit high at 6 and movement speed is slow. It also needs 5 seconds to charge. The way to play Sparky deck is to put a tanker in front of it, get the Arrows ready. Basically, one Archer Tower will be taken down, even getting 3 stars win.

How to counter:

Putting small troops in front of Sparky and quickly place DPS to take out Sparky when it is still in the 5 second charge time. Minion Horde can kill Sparky in 1 second; Zap is also good at countering Sparky as it can stun Sparky and slow down its attack to 10 seconds; new epic card Guard can withstand one Sparky's attack; If there's only single Sparky in the board, 1 elixir Skeletons can kill it as well.

Miner

[Practicality]: ★★★★☆
[Adaptability]: ★★★★☆

A knight-like troop that can travel anywhere on either of the map, perfect for taking out low HP units from behind or getting the last hit on a low enemy tower! It's like a combination of the 3 elixir cost Knight and the 4 elixir cost Gobins Barrel. He can deal with the Elixir Collector easily and it's definitely a promising card.

How to counter:

Play Skeletons and Goblins at the place where Miner is. If put correctly, Miner will attack them and along with Archer Tower, Miner can be killed not too hard. Noted that Miner is actually a small tanker. Pay attention to the troops behind him when you are dealing with him.

Destiny's Rise of Iron Expansion Leaked

According to marketing material leaked on Reddit last night, the next expansion of Destiny will be titled Rise of Iron. Various trustworthy sources have already confirmed its authenticity, and players are already going wild with theories.

A particularly interesting one points to the return of the Iron Lords or, most likely, the introduction of new ones. To those unaware, the Iron Lords are part of Destiny's lore and represented a group of guardians that defended the Last City in its early days.

Descriptions of artefacts and weapons point to the Iron Lords' banner being taken down due to infighting, and most believe the original nine Iron Lords (Skorri, Radeghast, Timur, Felwinter, Jolder, Gheleon, Silimar, Efrideet, Perun) to be dead.

Now this is all speculations, and this new expansion may have nothing at all to do with the Iron Lords. Stay tuned for more information.

Sandbox MOBA Das Tal Adds 29 New Skills

Das Tal's development released one of the game's most interesting updates to date yesterday, with "massive" changes to the world's infrastructure and as many as 29 new skills added to an already decent pool.
All of them (new skills) were designed to give more “interesting choices” to players. Some require you to really think about who to cast them on (Banish), some will allow you to set up crazy combos (Delayed Teleport), some will allow you to interrupt the enmy and protect your squishies better (Dampening Field) and others are just plain cool (Smoke Screen and Sneak Attack).

We’ve also made a couple seemingly small changes to existing abilities that will drastically change the current meta game.
Moreover, the US server known as Harvest was replaced by a new European server titled Fertility.

Find the full patch notes and list of new skills on the official announcement page.

Sandbox MMO SamuTale, Exclusive Q&A With Lead Developer

$
0
0
Could you introduce yourself to our readers and describe your role in SamuTale’s development?
Hi there! The community knows me as Royall, and I’m the lead developer of SamuTale. I am from the Netherlands and have been working on SamuTale for about 3 years now. It’s practically just me developing the game, although I do get some help from volunteers and freelancers. My role at the moment covers everything from programming, 3d modelling, 2d art (textures/UI) and web design.

How would you describe SamuTale to players that are hearing about it for the first time?
It’s like a sandbox game where the focus lies on setting up a clan village rather than a ‘base’, which is what you see in most other similar games. My aim is to give the players as much freedom as possible.

Is the Alpha still slated for summer 2016? How long is it expected to last?
*fingers crossed* Yes it is! It’s practically coffee and ramen for me these days working on the game day and night. Alpha will last as long as it needs to last really. I want to have all the basic features working as expected. Alpha will be released in different waves though.

Could you tell us more about the player progression? Will SamuTale be skill-based or class-based?
There are no classes in SamuTale, you just equip the weapon and armor of your choice. I would say this will be skill-based as you need to make decisions on what kind of gear you wear and what kind of combinations you will make. Also the combat has no auto target, you really have to aim your attacks, block at the right time while keeping track of your energy bar.

How do you expect this to affect the PvE and PvP?
That’s something we have to see once the game launches really. Can’t wait to see what people come up with!

How does SamuTale differ from other recently released Sandbox MMOs?
Definitely the village building! I am a big fan of the sandbox genre myself and one of the reasons I started developing SamuTale is that I didn’t like the fact it was always about building a ‘base’. I really wanted to see a game where players work together to build a village. So in SamuTale it’s not about placing floors/walls/ceilings to create a ‘blocky’ hut. It’s about building houses, village walls and food sources like farming and livestock.

In regards to interactions with the game’s world, how much freedom will players have?
At the moment the world has one safe zone which is the main village. The village is the place to sell and buy goods, trade with other players and hang out without the fear of being attacked. Around the village is a small area which I call the PVP zone. This zone is there to prevent people from blocking the village entrances and is a ‘no-build’ zone. Everything outside the PVP zone is just wilderness where players are free to build! Resources will spawn randomly across the world, and can be gathered by all players.

Could you give us some information regarding the clans and player villages?
It’s all about ranks and permissions. Every clan leader can set specific permissions for each clan rank. This is also based on my personal experience with sandbox games involving clans/guilds where it is hard to invite new people to your clan as you don’t know if they can be trusted (And run away with your goods). I really wanted to create a solution for this and I think the clan ranks will fix this.

Let’s say you want to invite a guy to your clan. He will start out as a recruit. A recruit can practically do nothing with basic permission settings, so he can’t control village gates, house doors or open chests. When he proves himself you promote him to member. Now he can build his own house on the clan land, and control the village gates. He won’t be able to open the houses of his clan mates unless the member gave him permission to do so.

Griefing is rather common in this genre. How will the game’s mechanics deal with this?
I am aware of this! Unfortunately I can’t give much specific information about this at the moment. But to keep it short, you can’t build close to claimed land that doesn’t belong to you. Also, you can’t just simply destroy a village if the players are active.

Thank you a lot for your time. Anything you would like to add?
Would like to inform the readers we just released our founders packs!
Check them out at www.samutale.com
Cheers, Royall

Sang-Youn Lee, CEO of Blueside, the developer of Kingdom Under Fire 2, has just revealed some future plans for the action MMORPG that involves a lot of strategy and troop commanding gameplay. We’ll unveil details of new class Elf Master next week, so if you are interested, be sure to check back soon.

Rider of Icarus Is Getting Non-targeted Action Mode for Closed Beta 3

$

Rider of Icarus has hosted 2 closed beta test events where a targeted keyboard/mouse control system, or Standard Mode, was used. Players requested an non-targeted action system and they are going to have it in closed beta 3. The game’s Project Director Seok Hoon just talked more about the upcoming Non-targeted mode, or the Action Mode.

Action Mode is borrowed from non-targeted system and it allows you to rotate the camera simply by moving the mouse. You don’t need to target to attack, of course, and you can attack where your crosshair aims at by pressing left or right mouse button.

The simple and easy Action Mode control is perfect for aerial combat. When using the lance it will play like a hack and slash game, and when using the crossbow, it will play like a shooter game. We also recommend Riders try out this mode when playing melee classes.

However, the Standard Mode won’t be removed. In fact, it will be very useful for certain class such as Priest. It provides more precise, though less exciting control, and it allows Priest to choose an ally fast and precisely with a mouse click or the tab key. Wizard is also recommended to use Standard Mode sometimes because he has many ranged skills.

You can toggle between non-targeted and tab-targeted to suit your playing style. Rider of Icarus is not like Tera or Blade & Soul since it’s a traditional MMORPG at its core, and a smart switch between the 2 modes is a good choice.

Looks Like an Overwatch Clone Is Being Made in China

No surprise someone in China has been starting to rip off Overwatch and make their own shooter. The clone is titled Legend of Titan (“泰坦传奇” in Chinese) and it seems it remains in concept for now. What you can see now is concept and character designs stolen from Overwatch.

So according to the images below, they plan to make it a FPS + MOBA game for multiple platforms, and they’ve invested in this project over $760,000 by now. However, I can’t find anything related to this game by searching "泰坦传奇", so I guess this project is either cancelled or in secret development.

Overwatch: Genji Guide and Tips

$

Focus purely on your attacking options and you might pick someone off, but you likely won't live long enough to do it again. Always have an escape route in mind for when things go wrong, and be ready to make use of Genji's incredible mobility passive at every stage of the fight.

>>>Check out other heroes' guide here

  • Use Genji's fantastic burst damage and mobility to focus on wiping out the enemy team's most irritating Support Heroes. He's also fantastic for getting behind shields to deal with well-positioned turrets.

  • Genji's double-jump can really catch an opponent by surprise in a duel. Get used to working this mobility option into your combat routine to make it that bit harder for the enemy to pick you off.

  • Know your targets before letting rip with your Ultimate, and have a plan in mind of where you want to head to once one target has been taken care of. You want to tot up as many squishy kills as possible while you have the means to slice through them with relative ease.

  • All of Genji's abilities can be used during Dragonblade. This may not be apparent, but you can still use Swift Strike and Deflect during Dragonblade. It is very helpful for staying alive when people are shooting by using Deflect, or chasing someone down by using Swift Strike.

  • Swift Strike has many uses, including crossing gaps you would otherwise be unable to cross. You can also use it to close distance and move around a map more quickly.

  • Learn the appropriate times to use left-click and right-click. If you're trying to finish them off and can land at least 2 with right-click, spam it. It has a faster shoot rate than left-click. Honestly, I could go on and on about this but one is not objectively better than the other in specific situations, practice and use good judgement. Obviously don't use right-click for long-range. That's just silly.

  • Tracer is tremendously squishy and so we recommend heading into a few practise matches until you're comfortable with weaving Blink, Recall and your Ultimate together in the frantic heat of combat!

  • You do your best damage up front and by emptying your ammo clip straight into an enemy Hero - keep the left mouse button held down to empty the clip in about a second. Go for burst, and be ready to escape to safety by making use of your amazing mobility advantages.

  • Note that Tracer's Ultimate Pulse Bomb Ability can actually be attached to an enemy Hero, which is sure to guarantee all but the hardiest Heroes leave the battlefield with a bang. Consider Blinking in to a heavy tank Hero, dropping your Ultimate directly on them, and then rewinding time so you get away from the heat that's about to come your way.

  • Great though she is for harassing enemy Heroes and bursting down soft targets, Tracer really shines at reaching hard-to-reach and bothersome units such as turrets or Bastion when he's in his heavy-artillery mode. You can also use Tracer's mobility skills to sneak behind protective shields.

  • Rewind is useless if you're moving in a little circle for three seconds straight. The point of rewinding is to relocate away from danger. It's tempting to minimize your mouse movement during combat by wiggling in place instead of by aggressively flanking your opponents, but in doing this, you rob yourself of the potential safety Rewind can grant you. You'll regain health, sure, but your enemies will know exactly where you're going to reappear: In their crosshairs.

  • Being stingy with blinks doesn't help anyone. Use your first blink when you spawn as soon as you can, and don't bother holding on to three while you're coming up on the action. Take full advantage of your blinks when you need to get somewhere fast (which is all the time), but keep one or two in your reserves depending on how dialed in the enemy team is on your number.
