Uzone Games' Racing Title Crazy Grand Rally Launches Worldwide on September 25

Uzone Games, a Chinese publisher focuses on the globalization of Chinese games, has made the industry full of expectation since it first put forward the "IP+" plan. Starting in July 2015, "IP+" is about making games for the overseas market in combination with Chinese cultural products and it includes Chinese domestic IP owners (including the owners of animations, novels, and films and TV programs) and many CPs (game research and development enterprises) for cooperation.

Recently, Uzone Games announced that the first game in "IP+", Crazy Cross-Country, was about to be completed and would be launched globally in more than 150 countries and regions on September 25.

To further promote the “Belt and Road” Initiative of the Chinese government, the high-level international automobile and motorcycle competition, the “2016 China Grand Rally” with national independent intellectual property rights, will kick off in Baotou, Inner Mongolia on September 25. The rally race, which lasts for 15 days and goes through 7 regions, will show the scenery along China’s ancient Silk Road and manifest the charm of China’s cultural diversity. China Grand Rally is a large-scale international high-grade automobile and motorcycle competition with long sections, high difficulty and national independent intellectual property rights. The racing is hosted by the Automobile & Motorcycle Sports Administration Center of the General Administration of Sport of China, CCTV Sports Channel, and ChinaEquity Group and undertaken by the CCTV Sports & Entertainment Co., Ltd. and the China Grand Rally Auto Racing Management Co., Ltd.

It is noteworthy that an online game with the same name will be launched at the same time as the start of the rally race to further expand the influence of the China Grand Rally.
The “Crazy Cross-Country” will get on IOS online synchronously on the opening day of the racing on September 25 and the global issue overseas is expected to be started at the beginning of the next year. The game is jointly developed and issued globally by Exchanger and UZONE, the official IP authorizers of the racing. The promotion video of the game “Crazy Cross-Country” is http://www.iqiyi.com/w_19rsx08vfh.html

It can be seen from the information disclosed that “Crazy Cross-Country” is a single-machine off-road racing mobile game. The vehicles in the game will restore the feeling of realistic auto racing, refer to a series of parameters of various realistic car models, like the power, steering control, weight and road holding, and produce the feeling of controlling vehicles in the game. To match the racing, the map in the game will specially refer to the official route of the “2016 China Grand Rally” in real time, and the championship will be achieved in Alxa Left Banner starting from Baotou. Players can feel the fun of the game together with race drivers.

As a part of the cooperation program, all participating cars, buses, rest station tents, helicopters, etc, in the race will be marked with the LOGO of UZONE. During the period of the racing, CCTV5 and BTV sports channels will cover the event live for 30 minutes every day. At each rest point, players will participate in experiencing the game “Crazy Cross-Country,” and CCTV5 will expose the live broadcast of the mobile game “Crazy Cross-Country” for 2-3 minutes. After the race, UZONE will also participate in the awards ceremony and the five-day hero party held together with 100, 000 fans of Crazy Cross-Country as a partner in Beijing.

Industry seniors analyzed that this has been a relatively in-depth and bold try in crossover IP cooperation so far. It broke the fixed model of the traditional film, TV and game linkage and will have a profound effect in the IP development and exploration in the entire game industry. Meanwhile, it will also greatly promote the Go-Out strategy of Chinese culture headed by games.

5 Recommended New MMOs/Online Games to Play for September 2016

$

0
Hello everyone. I've been spending the last 2 weeks playing World of Warcraft's new Legion expansion. Honestly I didn't enjoyed the game much like I did 2 years ago, because most of my friends didn't return (some did return but turned very casual) and on the other hand I was hooked up by a mobile game called Ultimate Ninja Blazing. I guess I'll spend much time on mobile games, especially my beloved Mario is coming to mobile platform this Holidays.

However I still have some new MMOs and online games to recommend to you this month. I'll play some of them, and I hope you like my recommendation. Don't forget to tell us which game you like most by voting your game below.

Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade
Release date: September 23

It's exciting to see a new Warhammer 40,000 MMO coming out soon. Eternal Crusade is a third-person MMO shooter with intense battles where you wield melee and ranged weapons crushing your enemies. Join one of the 4 factions, play PvE missions to hone your skill and fight for honor in battlefields and territorial conquest.

The game stresses on squad play. Squad is the feature that defines the gameplay of Eternal Crusade. It involves squad leadership, player cooperation, tactics, coordination and much more. A squad leader can give live commands on formation, where to go, and how to attack. Another awesome feature is there are vehicles.

Paladins: Champions of the Realm
Open beta: September

Hi-Rez Studios' team-based shooter will start open beta in the west this month. The game is compared with Blizzard's Overwatch a lot — it does have similar places with Overwatch in visuals and game mode but it's definitely not just another Overwatch.

First and foremost, heroes in Paladins can be customized, from appearance to ability. Besides, even in the middle of a battle, you can customize a hero's stat with cards. All those make Paladins a game with more freedom. Paladins has more fantasy elements while Overwatch is more sci-fi. Last but not least, you can't change your hero in the match in Paladins, just like a MOBA (however you can change your hero's talent each time you respawn).

I prefer to call Paladins a MOBA shooter instead of Overwatch clone. You can call out your mount for fast traveling, you can customize your hero's talents, you can purchase abilities from the store with points earned from killing in the match. Of course, Paladins is free to play, and if you don't like the game, you can just walk away.

I don't say Paladins is better than Overwatch for the latter is more polished and optimized in the shooting and action part. So if you like pure shooting, play Overwatch, and if you want more customization and hero progression, check out Paladins.

Twin Saga
Open beta: September 1

Anime MMORPG fans have a new game to play this month. Twin Saga is from the veteran of anime MMO X-Legend (the studio that makes Dragomon Hunter and Aura Kingdom), and to be honest, the game doesn't have innovative features compared with other titles of the genre. The game isn't bad choice if you are looking for something new to play. First the game allows you to change class anytime in one account, and it features Terracottage – the mobile and customizable house for players.

Combat isn't so different to other MMOs although it looks simple and fine. You can charge your SP gauge by using abilities and then unleash ultimate ability to crush your enemies. Every class has three Ultimate abilities available, each with distinct effects that can help turn the tide of a battle.

Ever, Jane
Open beta: August 25

There's no combat in Ever, Jane because this game is not a common MMO where you kill 10 mobs to complete the quest, or take down a dungeon boss for epic loot. The game is inspired by Jane Austen's literature and sets in the virtual world of Regency England. So instead of raids, there are grand balls. Instead of dungeons, there are dinner parties.

The village of Tyrehampton is centered round a tree-lined village green, with houses where you may "squat" and soon even own and redecorate to your taste. Please feel free to role-play with your friends in and around the village. Drive a carriage to explore around the town or travel to the Estate for dancing. There are several "stories" to get you started. We are busy adding many more stories, dinner parties and other features for your enjoyment.

Obviously the game is not for everyone. If you like socialization, if you like non-combat progression, and if you don't mind outdated graphics, Ever, Jane is the game you may be interested in.

Guardians of Ember
Early access: September

Guardians of Ember is a Diablo style hack and slash MORPG from Runewaker, the developer of Runes of Magic and Dragon's Prophet. It’s similar to Path of Exiles in several different ways: a good number of classes to choose from, lots of active and passive skills, and randomized dungeons, etc.

The game is completely an imitator of Path of Exiles. By reaching level 15 you can choose a secondary class to enhance your primary character class. The game does have quests although it focuses more on randomized dungeons — you can expect to challenge over 60 dungeons. What’s more Guardians of Ember has player houses with hundreds of decorative items. The game isn’t all about PvE, and it has various PvP modes from 1v1 to 3v3 and to 5v5.

Clash Royale: Unstoppable Giant + 3 Musketeers Deck and Guide for Arena 7-9

$
0
0
Overview

The 3 Musketeers are often written off as a “playable” card due to 2 main aspects. First off, it's extremely expensive, at a whopping 9 elixir. In fact, it's the most expensive card in the game. Before a balance update in March, this card actually used to be 10 elixir. However, when you think about it, 9 elixir for a card that has a value of 12 is a pretty good deal. But that's beside the point. The point is, they can be a devastating card if played right.

Before the deck is even discussed, it's necessary to understand that this is a high risk, high reward card. It cannot be expected that just because it costs 9 elixir, that this card will perform well every time. However, with a good deck, it's possible make them perform well ALMOST every time.

Now that what we're working with is understood, let's move on to the deck.

The Deck

*** Cards within {} can serve as replacements ***

Giant {Golem, Giant Skeleton, PEKKA}
3 Musketeers {None}
Valkyrie {Wizard, Bomber, Witch}
Goblin Barrel {Miner}
Fire Spirits {Poison, Fireball}
Arrows {Zap}
Inferno Tower {Mini PEKKA, Lumberjack}
Elixir Collecter {None}

General Strategy

This deck boasts a heavy elixir average cost of 4.5, so it will not be something that performs well in regular time. However, without the 3 Musketeers, this decks average would only be around 3.7, making it somewhat cheap and flexible. Use every card, excluding the 3 Musketeers, to hold off your opponent until the last minute of the game, when elixir production is doubled. 3 Musketeers can be used in a pinch, but it's better to hold onto them.

On Defense

The majority of your time using this deck will be on defense, so it's very crucial to understand how the defensive strategy works. Your primary defensive weapons are Inferno Tower, Valkyrie, and Arrows. Most one lane pushes can be completely ended using these 3 cards. Inferno Tower should always be placed after letting the tank cross the bridge. It will give your opponent less time for a distraction. Royal Giants must be approached uniquely, as they out range the Inferno Tower. Wait until he's crossed the bridge and then place the Inferno Tower within range so it can deal its damage. Tanks almost never come alone, so be sure to place Valkyrie, Fire Spirits or Arrows to deal with the support. The Giant can also be used to soak up damage in a tough situation. Cycle decks, usually consisting of Hog Riders, can also be stopped fairly easily. Spawning a lone Inferno Tower can usually take care of a Hog Rider and whatever support it brings. When possible, place some elixir collectors behind your towers. This is especially crucial in the last 30 seconds before double elixir time.

On Offense

Major Offensive action should not be taken until double elixir time in the last minute of the game. Pushes in this deck are extremely expensive, usually costing upwards of 19+ elixir, so any push in regular time will likely fail. However, there are a few counter pushes that can be used to do chip damage in regular time. Using a leftover Valkyrie to tank for a Goblin barrel is effective, as it usually forces the opponent to put themselves at an elixir disadvantage to defend. Small Giant pushes can also be used to drain elixir and use up valuable cards. But it is worth repeating that no legitimate offensive actions should be taken in regular time. The real magic comes during double elixir time. There should be at least 1 elixir pump on field, so lack of elixir should never be a problem. Begin your push by spawning a Giant in your back corner. Wait until you have enough elixir, and back it up with a Valkyrie and Fire Spirits. 3 Musketeers should be the last part of the push that is spawned. Not only will this be a shock to your opponent, who should be under the impression that you didn't even posses the card  but it will also send them into a panic. With the Fire Spirits, Valkyrie, and the 3 Musketeers, any defense should go away either instantly or within seconds. It's fairly easy to 3 crown an opponent if you catch them off guard and without a reasonable means of defense.

Weaknesses and Pitfalls

Your chief weakness when using this deck will be isolated damage spells such as Fireball, Poison, and Rocket. Arrows can also take a significant toll on the Musketeers’ HP. The silver lining lies in the fact that even with a well aimed Rocket or Fireball destroying your main damage do-er, your Giant and Valkyrie will still remain, and the opponent will have minimal elixir to effectively counter it, especially if paired with a Goblin barrel. A 3 Musketeer Cycle deck seems rather far fetched, but in double elixir time that's exactly what this deck should serve as. Keep hitting the opponent hard, and eventually they'll fall.

Conclusion

Despite its price, and its weaknesses, this is a very strong deck that can perform well at high levels. Hope you guys have as much fun using it as I have. Cheers!

Here's a link to a short match demonstrating the deck.

ArcheAge  will celebrate its 2nd anniversary in the West, on September 16th. This "sandpark" MMORPG will indulge players with new features including:
- Exeloch and Sungold Fields regions in Auroria will be open for conquest and castle building;
- a new free-for-all 8-man PvP arena will be available for level 53 players; "there is no matchmaking, no baalancing - anything goes."
- a new stat migration system that grants the ability to adjust your base stats will be added; players will be able to move stat points out of unwanted stats and move them into wanted stats.
- the customizable underwear will be available.

Community Manager Seraphina "Celestrata" Brennan stated that Revelation, the 3.0 expansion, orbits around Orchidna. This mighty upgrade brings in the Warborn and Dwarves, two long-awaited races. These two new races have transformations unlike the current races who have specialties. The Warborn's is melee-based while the Dwarves' are ranged.

For those of you who are interested in these two new races, bare in mind one detail: All players wanting the new races will have to start a new character from scratch. Two new epic housing zones have been prepared by the dev's team. Along with the upcoming expansion, two new servers will be launched (one for NA and one for EU), available for new and fresh accounts.

Last but not least, players will be able to unlock abyssal skills via a quest and they can use them by building up a new resource, abyssal energy.

The 3.0 update, namely the Revelation expansion will launch in December 2016.

Rob Pardo, former Chief Creative Officer at Blizzard, has created his own game studio named Bonfire Studios with several industry talents. Pardo was lead designer of World of Warcraft and the The Burning Crusade expansion. He also led the Diablo 3 project before he left the company in 2014.

Starting Bonfire Studios is a new phase in Pardo's career and he didn't forget the most important element of MMO/online games, social connections between players. "He wants Bonfire's games to recreate the social connections that many players formed when banding together in clans in World of Warcraft, a game that allows players to fraternize with one another online," according to New York Times.

Rob Pardo on his philosophy of making games:

One of the most rewarding parts of creating any game, be it a D&D campaign or a massive persistent world, is the connection you have to the players themselves. You get to see the player’s reactions, you get to respond to them and make their experience better over time. It’s like the warmth of friends around a bonfire, sharing stories.

Other founders of Bonfire Studios include ex-Nexon veteran Min Kim and 2 other ex-Blizzard developers, Josh Mosquiera (Diablo) and Matthew Versluys.

Two months ago, we reported that Generalkidd, team member of Gold Team Productions, revealed a new Hololens project which brings the Yu-Gi-Oh card game to real word by using Microsoft’s augmented reality headset. And recently he released another video, showcasing the the use of read cards. Check the video below.

The video shows a very rough prototype of a possible Yu-Gi-Oh AR card game. Aside from the to-be-released HoloLens, all you need are Yu-Gi-Oh! cards. No ugly QR codes or new physical goods are required! As the cards turn towards a different direction, the monster holographic turns along with it. So how is the possible? In a Reddit thread, Gold Team member Generalheed credits the Vuforia digital tracking technology for allowing these interactions to work with the original cards.

According to the developer, the upcoming Update 3.0 will be the first playable version with online mutiplayer support. However, the release date is yet to be confirmed.

Crisis Action: Create: The Most Exciting Thing of Shooting Game Isn't Shooting

One day someone asked me what else a shooting game can offer except for the shooting experience.

Remember the building mode (edit mode) in an old Family Computer game called Battle City? I liked to built brick walls to protect the base in custom map and felt secure. I can create my favorite characters with brick walls.

I recently played a mobile game called Crisis Action: Create, which was in open beta. The game allows players to create custom maps with various provided props and styles. You can fight other players in the map you create.

Sandbox game is still very popular, especially after games like Minecraft, Space Engineers come out. Compared with pure shoot-on-the-face games on the mobile platform, a shooting game with building elements should have a better opportunity to succeed.

Crisis Action: Create aims at no only shooting game fans but also gamers who play sandbox building games.

I found some incredible custom maps created by the game's community. First take a look at some great recreation of famous constructions and classic elements.

Bless Online - Aeria Games Talks Gameplay Changes Made for the Western Version

In April, Neowiz Games licensed Aeria Games to publish Bless Online in North America and Europe. In August, Aeria Games presented the status of the game. Then, the German publisher was working on the Korean to English translation and the IT team was working on the server specs for western beta. And now to offer a better experience for western players, Aeria Games believes more changes are needed to make. And they are actively working with the developer Neowiz Bless Studios for the following changes:

- Ingame performance: Neowiz Bless Studios is putting the most effort and planning to improve the performance aspects of massive battle contents such as Siege of Castra, Capital War, Raid  etc. to provide the players the best gaming environment.

- Combat System: As many of you might know, the combat system as of now feels unresponsive and the action combat is not on par with current generation action MMORPGs. Neowiz will be  working on both tab targeting and action combat systems to have better combat experience in both systems. In the end of the day, combat is a very important aspect of every MMO and needs to feel good to keep players entertained in combat."

According to Aeria Games, these are just some of the many changes for the western version. The publisher is aware that this may create a delay on the release schedule but they are confident that it's worth it and will meet players' expectation.

Clash Royale: Bowler + Pekka Deck and Guide for Arena 8-9! 3 Star Champion!

$

Hello Clashers! KairosTime here, with a powerful P.E.K.K.A Bowler deck that has brought me huge success in my most recent tournaments. It specializes in fast 3 crown victories which makes it perfect to push to the top in any tournament quickly.

My Deck

Card Breakdown

PEKKA - With the highest damage per second of any troop in the game, and her recent buff, the P.E.K.K.A. is a powerhouse that your opponent can’t ignore. In this deck, she is part of your primary and secondary win conditions. Your first win condition is to get him to the tower which is made possible with the Bowler and Support cards. As your second win condition, he is a tank that is meant to distract your opponent while you build up a force that your opponent simply can’t defend against.

Bowler – With his recent reduction in Elixir cost, the Bowler is now even more usable in this Elixir heavy deck. The fact that he is as slow as you P.E.K.K.A. means that placing him close behind the P.E.K.K.A. will make it difficult for your opponent to drop swarm troops that are normally so effective at distracting the P.E.K.K.A.. The Bowler is also an amazing troop at defending so use him to do so if you are at an elixir disadvantage. If I’m in a pinch, I’ll place him behind my tower so he will defend without taking damage.

Lumberjack – I added this new strong card to the deck because he’s really good at defending against the Miner and Royal Giant, among other cards. If you don’t have him, you can definitely switch him out for the Mini P.E.K.K.A. but if you have him, I suggest using him because his death rage is a great way to make a P.E.K.K.A. push more successful. If you’re in a pinch, and need a tower quick, the Lumberjack can act as a pseudo-win condition for desperate times, but be warned that if you play the Lumberjack as your primary win condition, this deck will not work as well. The Lumberjack fills the role of support in this deck, so play him as such.

Miner – Now that the Miner takes 1 second to deploy, he is less of a win condition, and more of a utility card meaning that you should use him multiple different ways. Use him to take out Elixir Pumps, defending Princesses or Ice Wizards, or even to distract an Inferno Tower from locking onto your P.E.K.K.A.. In most of my miner decks, I try to only defend with him as a last-ditch effort. This is not the case in this deck. At 3 Elixir, the miner is your lowest cost defending troop, and you SHOULD use him on defense if you need to build up elixir. If you don’t have the miner, you can switch him out for Fireball, Poison, Arrows, or the Guards depending on your card levels, and which cards are most frequently being used at the moment.

Baby Dragon – The Baby Dragon is essential in this deck because it is your primary defense against minions and the minion horde. The Baby Dragon is also a great secondary support troop to aid your P.E.K.K.A. if you don’t have a Bowler down, or in addition to the Bowler. Because the Baby Dragon is faster than the P.E.K.K.A. you will want to place the Baby Dragon far enough behind so that she will not be targeted by the tower. Although she is a pseudo-tank, the Baby Dragon is better used in this deck as a support troop.

Musketeer – The Musketeer has become increasingly more popular since the nerf to the princess because she’s so good at defending and supporting. The Musketeer paired with zap will make quick work of minions if you don’t have a Baby Dragon in your rotation. She’s also great with the Lumberjack if you need a quick tower. One thing I love about her, is that she has the range to defend a push on one lane and then walk down the other lane if you place her on the right spot.

Elixir Pump – You will want to do everything you can to protect your Pump. If your opponent has a Miner, be prepared at all times to answer it with your own Miner or the Lumberjack. Make sure that you position the Pump closer to your tower with the most health so that it is less likely to be Fireballed or Poisoned. Placing it between your king towers is a good option if your opponent is using the miner. If you are playing in a tournament, this card is critical when you’re facing tough opponents. If you’re facing someone that isn’t as tough, you could probably pull off a successful 3 crown victory without this card if you played your cards right. I’d recommend not risking it though.

Zap – Even with the reduction in its stun duration, Zap is still a powerful card and is useful in so many situations. I tried switching Zap our for Arrows but found that the utility it provides is just too much to pass up on. Use it to take out smaller troops that are good at distracting your P.E.K.K.A. or at defending against Cycle decks.

Matchup

Giant Poison – One reason this deck is so good at climbing quickly in tournaments is because it is strong against the Giant Poison deck, one of the most popular right now. This is because you can use the P.E.K.K.A. to defend and then counterpush with an unstoppable force. This is done by placing the P.E.K.K.A. at the right time and place so that he meets the giant on your side of the field, and by placing a Bowler close behind him so that the Bowler damages the giant and clears your the giant’s supporting troops. Once your opponent’s push is successfully defended against, you can use your other troops to make your push even stronger. The majority of the time, you want to wait to play the P.E.K.K.A. until you are at a major Elixir advantage or until 2x Elixir. However, if your opponent tries to go for a Giant push early in the match, feel free to defend using the P.E.K.K.A. and a lot of the time, your opponent won’t be able to stop your counter-push, leading you to a 3 crown victory within the first 2 minutes (I’ve done this multiple times in my past 3 tournaments)

Tank + Bowler – Playing against Giant Bowler, Golem Bowler, or other P.E.K.K.A. Bowler decks is similar to the Giant Poison combo. The one difference is that you want to distract your enemies Bowler with a Miner behind him so that his attack doesn’t do damage to the rest of your troops. If you don’t have the Miner available, a carefully placed Lumberjack will also do the trick.

Hog Cycle – The Bowler is the key to playing against these decks. In my YouTube video on this deck, you’ll see me defending against a Hog Rider paired up with Barbarians with this 5 Elixir card (That’s a 4 Elixir advantage!). When facing a Hog Cycle deck, I like to place the Bowler behind my tower so that he doesn’t take damage. By using your tower’s health as a resource, you’ll be able to comeback with a push that the Hog Cycle deck can’t defend against.

Hog Trifecta – This timeless deck isn’t too hard to play against as long as you’re careful about not putting all of your troops within a Poison Spell’s distance of each other. If you know that your opponent doesn’t have Poison in their rotation, feel free to bunch up your troops and the only option they’ll have to defend is a Valkyrie, who will do minimal damage if she has a P.E.K.K.A., Bowler, and Musketeer targeting her.

Royal Giant – Royal Giant decks are difficult to play against with this deck because its unfavorable to place a P.E.K.K.A. close to the bridge to defend. This is unfavorable because it doesn’t give you enough time to build up a supporting group of troops before she crosses the bridge. Rather, you should defend with the Lumberjack and clear supporting troops with the Miner or Musketeer. Try to gain the Elixir advantage with pumps before making a big push when facing Royal Giant decks.

3 Musketeers - Another tough deck to face. Your best bet against the 3 Musketeers is a well placed Bowler. Zapping at the right moment can reduce the amount of damage that he takes, allowing for a counter-push

Inferno Tower – This defensive tower is mortal enemies with the P.E.K.K.A.! Luckily, this deck has a lot of ways to beat this tower down. A well-timed Miner can distract it for a good amount of time, and the Lumberjack going in before the P.E.K.K.A. will insure that your troops get a nice Rage boost. You can also place the Baby Dragon in the middle of the arena if your other options aren’t available. I’ve had the most success with a Zap and Miner combo.

Elven Assassin is a VR game puts you into the shoes of elven archer to defend your tower from the invasion of hordes of Orcs. It'll be a realistic and immersive bow shooting experience in VR, and you have to predict, calculate, and practice to shoot Orcs in from different distance and angle.

Hundreds of Orcs will flood into your town from different lanes, and unlike traditional tower defense games, you don't have too many traps or mechanisms to make use of. All you can rely on is the bow in your hand, as well as your friends (if you are playing co-op).

Orcs aren't just running to you like a moving target, they can break into houses to hide from your arrows, and they even throw massive axes to you when they got furious. Here's how the game becomes bloody for Orcs' axes can splash you head into pieces.

You can see how good you are by comparing your score to your friends and to players around the world. The game is now 30% off on Steam.
