5 Must-Play Mobiles Games of October

$

0
Time is a fleeting thing, and the selection of mobile games available for Android and iOS is seemingly endless. Fortunately for you, I’m willing to play through the crap, so you don’t have to. After hours of matching, running, swiping, tapping, and crying, I’m pleased to present my 5 must-play mobile games of October.

Bounty Stars

Bounty Stars, from DeNA Corp., takes classic turn-based RPG gameplay and thrusts it into space. The graphics have a unique hand-drawn look to them, and the writing is absolutely hilarious. The game features a boatload of characters and a gacha system, for better or worse. The characters each have their own stats that can impact how they handle certain situations when out on a mission. Failing certain skill checks often makes for humorous outcomes, which showcases the great writing. The game is free with in-app purchases, and is easily worth the download if you’re a fan of RPGs, comedy, or have that Star Wars itch.

Available on Android and iOS.

Animation Throwdown: TQFC

Animation Throwdown, from Kongregate, combines five hit Fox cartoons into one chaotic battle royale. Pitting Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill, Futurama, and Bob’s Burgers against one another, Animation Throwdown might seem like Fox’s attempt at cashing in on the card-collecting game craze. However, Animation Throwdown quickly sets itself apart from other card-collection games by featuring a fun combo-based fighting system. This system ties in with each show, letting you combine characters like Hank Hill with a bottle of beer to get a Drunken Hank card that features an image taken directly from King of the Hill. Little touches like this make the game a blast for fans of these TV shows. There’s also a straightforward arena system that lets you test your deck against other players. Fans of these shows, card games, or people looking for something you can play on the fly should definitely check this one out. Animation Throwdown is free with optional in-app purchases.

Available on Android and iOS

Flip Diving

Flip Diving, from Miniclip.com, is an absolutely mindless, borderline idiotic good time. In Flip Diving, you take control of various divers and hop off a cliff. Don’t worry, you’re diving into water. The game features a simple one-touch control scheme in which you touch once to initiate your jump, touch and hold to spin as you approach the water, and release to go into your dive. If you manage to time it just right you will land headfirst or feet-first into the water and score points. With each dive you climb further up the level, giving you more time to get in flips, and more time to fail in hilarious ways. Being F2P, there are inevitable in-app purchases, ads, and an extreme hike in the cost of additional divers and upgrades. While these things are obnoxious, they don’t prevent the game from being great for those short breaks during the work day.

Available on Android and iOS.

Don't Starve: Pocket Edition

Don’t Starve, from Klei Entertainment Inc., has been gracing PC players with its presence since 2013. The survival rogue-like is now (finally) available on Android in BETA for $4.99. Don’t Starve takes numerous survival game elements like hunger, thirst, and crafting, and puts them underneath a unique and twisted hood that would look at home in a Tim Burton film. The world of Don’t Starve is brimming with odd and terrifying creatures, many of which will try to kill you. Others, however, can be coaxed into friendship through in-game gestures and peace offerings. While avoiding these many hostile creatures, you must forage for food, survive the elements, and keep your character from going insane. For those of you familiar with the title who are worried about it not working on smaller devices, fear not. The game has been faithfully ported to touchscreens, with added tweaks like menus that zoom in when touched, context-sensitive actions, and so on. Fans of survival games, adventure, or those of you like me who simply can’t stop buying this game on every platform, owe it to yourself to pick up this whimsical journey to starvation. Again, this game is currently $4.99 for the BETA, but the price will increase when it goes gold.

Available on Android and iOS.

Primal Legends

Primal Legends, from Kobojo, is a match 3 strategy game featuring card-collection elements, PVP, and a sprawling single-player campaign. This game caught me by surprise, as I was at first off-put by the animal cast and goofy vocals. Luckily, the mechanics very quickly prove the game is anything but childish. On the surface, Primal Legends plays like many other match 3 games. You slide around color-coded characters to match them with two or more similar characters. Upon completing a match you launch an attack against the enemy team, destroying or damaging units you hit. Things quickly complicate from here, with unit deaths eating away at your overall health, heroes entering the battlefield after a certain number of matches, and countless other mechanics being thrown into the mix. A short review can’t really do this one justice, as the depth of the gameplay is too great for this list. Just take my word for it and give this one a whirl (and keep your eyes peeled for a longer, more in-depth review). Primal Legends is free with optional in-app purchases. It’s worth noting that there are no pop-up ads and no energy or stamina system. If that isn’t worth giving this one a shot, then I don’t know what is.

Available on Android and iOS.

There you have it. These past few weeks have been nothing short of chaotic, with countless cliff divers surely breaking their necks, animals being slaughtered on the battlefield, and poor Wilson starving to death I don’t know how many times. October is sure to be a fun month filled with matching, surviving, and card battling. Here’s hoping November’s list can even come close to topping this one!

Virtual Reality Helps Find out More Nazi War Criminals

Virtual reality is used for gaming, movies, art creation, medical science, and so on. In fact VR is also used in some special purposes, and for instance, investigation. The German authorities used the VR technology to catch the remaining Nazi war criminals. The Germans were able to create a 3D version of the Auschwitz concentration camp using the VR technology. Once the entire camp was recreated, the investigators were able to explore the complex virtually. This way they were able to determine if those who worked in the camps were unaware of what was going on, which is apparently a very common defense.

According to Jens Rommel, head of the federal office that investigates Nazi war criminals, “It has often been the case that suspects say they worked at Auschwitz but didn’t really know what was going on. Legally, the question is about intent: must a suspect have known that people were being taken to the gas chambers or shot? This model is a very good  and very modern tool for the investigation because it can help answer that question.” With the help of VR technology, Reinhold Hanning, a former SS guard, was convicted of being complicit in 170,000 murders in Auschwitz and was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment. This is not the first and certainly not the last case in which the VR technology will contribute at finding the truth and solve crime.

Battleborn: New free Competitive Multiplayer Mode coming October 13

$

2K Games and Gearbox Software has announced on Battleborn site the new free Competitive Multiplayer Mode called Face-off. The battleground pits teams of five against one another in a fifteen minute battle. Players are charged with staying alive, killing Varelsi and collecting masks in order to win.

Related: Battleborn’s Daily Average Player Count Dips to Around 600 on PC

OBJECTIVE

In these 15-minute, 5v5 battles you’ve got to quickly take down the Varelsi. As you drop them, they drop masks. Collect those Varelsi masks to score points. The first team to 500 wins. Sounds simple, right? Well, first you need to get those masks to the depository in the center of the map.

However, since the enemy team is trying to do the same thing, you must balance between helping your team collect masks and preventing the enemy team from doing the same thing. All the while, the unrelenting Varelsi get tougher.

GAMEPLAY

It’s hard to believe the Varelsi will just let you get away with slaughter. As the match progresses, and players level up, the Varelsi also get tougher. Each match has multiple phases, so expect intense boss battles as the Varelsi attempt to get even and throw a wrench into each team’s plans.

Face-Off takes place on Capture maps – Temples, Snowblind, and Outback – with some key changes. There will be up to six Varelsi spawn camps in different locations around each map. The mask depository is located near the center of each map, at frequently contested points. Private bot matches will not be available at release but may be an addition further down the line.

One more thing to look out for in Face-Off are buildable MX.Headhunter assassins! Tough, fast, and vicious, MX.Headhunters will strike down enemy players and help foil the enemy’s mask collecting progress. Similar to Super Minions, Headhunters are buildables that can be purchased in a match with Shards.

COLLECTING MASKS

There are two ways to get masks: Pick up dropped masks or steal them from enemy players. Varelsi drop masks upon death. Race against the other team to pick them up and get them to the depository. If a mask-carrying player gets taken out before reaching the depository, they will lose all of their masks upon death and a portion of those masks can be picked up by other players. While Varelsi drop a limited number of masks at a time, players can carry quite an armful. It’s up to you to help protect your overburdened teammates make it to the depository. The more they have, the bigger a target they may become. Same goes for the enemy team – Killing enemy players is a nifty way to steal masks, so keep an eye out for those carrying a heavy load of masks.

Players also drop all of their masks when teleporting. If you need to go back to base in a hurry, make sure to teleport nearby an ally so they can snag your dropped masks and get them to the depository.

Clash Royale: Royal Giant Deck that got me to 2800+ trophies (in-depth guide)

$

Hey guys, it’s Bill804 here to share my Royal Giant deck guide.

My Deck

Card Breakdown
Royal Giant (lvl9) is basically guaranteed two shots on their tower if they don't have inferno.

Elixir Pump (lvl5) is also very important for this tanky deck.

Giant Skeleton (lvl2) can completely put down a huge push and it's mostly used as a defensive card, but it's offensive attributes can also turn the tide of the game to your favor.

Hog Rider (lvl6) has been nerfed in the latest update, but not too badly. If you're like me, you have invested a lot of time into upgrading your hog and you've used it so much that you simply cannot live without it, it is still very good, as its damage only underwent a very subtle change.

Poison (lvl2) matches up beautifully with this deck. It can back up the giant skeleton, royal giant, and hog rider. It will kill small troops quickly, while also confusing your opponent briefly while they struggle upon whether to drop the goblins or not, often causing them to make bad decisions.

Princess is our splash damage of the army. She will take out the small troops and pave the way for our heavier troops.

The barbs (lvl8) and minions (lvl8) are for tank control, and also for setting up minor pushes. THE MINIONS ARE VERY IMPORTANT

Strategy

Early Game - 3:00 to 1:00

Use the pump, hog, or princess at the beginning of the game. If they summon a tank, use barbs. DO NOT USE MINION HORDE AT THE BEGINNING UNLESS YOU REALLY NEED TO. This is why the princess is good. The opponent will most likely overreact to the princess and arrow/fireball the princess. This is a perfect opportunity to set up a hog and minion horde push. Once they waste their spell, they will be completely unprepared for the minion horde, as most people don't have more than one spell to counter these masses of troops. Although you may want to wait until a splash damage troop is deployed in order to maximize the damage. This can easily turn the tide of the battle to your favor. They will be more wary, and stop arrowing/fireballing the princess. This allows her to get off some quick damage by putting her on the very front. She will almost always get al least one hit off. Royal giant can be used whenever you have a princess or poison in your hand.

Midgame -1:00 to 0:10

Start using bigger pushes, such as royal giant with a giant skeleton in front. The giant skeleton will blow up the opponent's troops, clearing the path for the royal giant. Hog poison is a great strategy as well. When the opponent drops a tank, fend it off with barbs or horde and reinforce it with a tank to snowball. Once you take a tower, keep on dropping hogs and royal giants on their side in order to keep up the pressure. Make them focus on your troops and forget about the fact that they still need to take a tower. .

Endgame - 0:10 to 0:00

At the end, place a pump in front of the tower with the least hp and pat yourself on the back for a victorious game.

How to deal with various troops

Double prince rushplace a giant skeleton in front of them, and thats the end of it.

Spawner decksThe moment they place a barbarian hut, place hog and princess on the other side. Giant skeleton, princess, and poison are all effective for spawner decks. IMO, this is actually an anti-spawner deck if you play your cards right.

Defense-Targeting Troops - Barbs or horde.

Tanks with splash damage behind- The moment they cross to your side, place the giant skeleton behind the tank (THIS IS VITAL BECAUSE THE GIANT SKELETON'S BOMB MAY END UP NOT HITTING THE SUPPORT TROOPS) and put barbs/horde to kill the tank.

Sparky and Tank- Giant skeleton on the sparky and use barbs on the tank. Or, you can carefully place the barbs so that they go on all four corners of the sparky, one on each corner. When you dont have barbs or horde, drop a poison.

Lava Hound - drop a horde on it, which the opponent will arrow. Then, use princess or poision to kill the pups.

Inferno Tower - Place barbs in front of the royal giant or giant skeleton so that the inferno tower will target the barbs instead.

Giant Skeletonplace barbs behind the giant skeleton so that all the barbs will be able to escape the blast.

Weaknesses

Giant/Lava Hound + Balloon - Possibly the biggest counters to this deck. There will most likely be two outcomes. Most of the minion horde will lock on to the giant instead of the balloon, and it will deal major damage to your crown tower. Second scenario is that the opponent prediction shoots your horde, basically destroying you're tower right there. Although this poses a very seriou threat, a way that I have beaten these players is by continuously pummeling their tower. I would use a defense-targeting troop to force them to defend, so that they will not even have a chance to deploy his giant and balloon. Luckily there aren't many giant balloon decks up here so that will not be much of a problem.

Distraction + Miner - The miner can be extremely annoying when your arena tower locks on to a tank instead of the miner. Since this deck is expensive, and that there are only two cards that do large amounts of damage to a troop at one time, this combo is also a squishy part of this deck. In these circumstances, I would kill the miner first and then my troops would then head towards the distraction/s.

Other Stuff

Please tell me if you have any suggestions or replacement cards that may improve the quality of this guide. After all, we're all here to help each other out. I hope you find much success with this deck, and keep clashing! See you

Star Trek Online on Consoles: Explore the Final Frontier Again!

$
0
0

Star Trek has always been one of my favorite franchises along with Star Wars, and I remembered back in 2010 when Star Trek Online came out. It originally started as a subscription-based game, and ended up becoming a Free-to-Play model January 2012. I played it with a few of my friends for a while and was in love with the game, but soon I just fell out of it and haven’t played it since – until it came out for console this year in September.  I’ve been playing it ever since again, and honestly have been enjoying it a lot more on console than when I was on the PC.

Onwards!

The game currently holds the over six years of content and has a vast amount of customization and story. This means we don’t need to be waiting to catch up with PC users, and you still get the same customization from the PC game. There are so many races that come with the three factions, and the create-a-character layout looks a lot cleaner to me.

It's less cluttered like this and more easy in a way.

The only thing the console doesn’t have really is that optional backstory that could have been made for your character, but it’s not necessarily that big of a deal.

It is fun to write a nifty backstory for your character, but I can see why they took that out for consoles.

In regards to the story, the three factions have different beginnings. The tutorials are pretty straightforward in the beginning and isn’t difficult to follow, and the storyline keeps branching out. With my playthrough of the Romulans, what first initially was a nice happy beginning skewed dark quickly, and having to pick to be with the Federation or the Klingons was difficult.  That was only the beginning of the game, but it kept me locked in and wanting to follow the story.

What gives life to many of the characters is the voice acting, which gives more immersion when playing through the story, and there are over 125 episodes to keep you sucked in even more.  There is also end game queued content, and a story arc that is coming out by the end of the month named Agents of Yesterday.

There is also a change in UI: where in the PC game you had just a box of the NPC and what they say, you now have a full screen of the NPC and his dialogue. The only time it isn't full-screened is when in space combat.

In fact, the UI looks pretty sleek and nice on the console. However, the size of the text might be an issue. I’ve noticed from afar it just looks a bit too small for me and hard to read. If they made the text a bit bigger, it would be a lot better and easier to read.

Another small issue is that if you make a character too big or a character too small, when you toggle a certain camera cycle to fit your character, it sometimes resets and the headroom or lack of headroom becomes a bit too much. Also, sometimes things take a little bit longer to load in than other things.

It's a bit bothersome sometimes, but make for nice screenshots at least.

The textures that were redone and the new lighting system adds a different feel to the game, which could be good or bad. For me, it’s pretty nice and adds a style that looks like it comes from this gen, which could attract new players to the franchise. The vibrant colors it now has rather than the old dullish colors make a lot of things easier to see as well, but sometimes can be a little bit too bright other times. Ultimately, I’ll let you decide this one.

Now, the gameplay is pretty standard from what it was in the PC game. The ground combat isn’t all that fabulous, and feels the same as before really with some improvements, but the real battles take place really in space with your ship. Locking onto your enemies with the and hitting the enemies actually felt fine, nothing too unusual or different, but pretty responsive to say the least. It's always fun to hear ships exploding from your missles.

Finally, the micro transactions and console exclusives are the last thing on the list. There are almost always micro transactions for free-to-play games. There’s quite a lot from playable species, bridge officers, companions, tribbles, and ships along with packs you can buy, along with services and costumes as well. While there isn’t an emphasis or need to buy any of these, it sure is tempting.

Content exclusives for Xbox One players will receive a free Tier 1 Blockade Runner Escort Steamrunner that is a class starship, and Playstation 4 players will receive a Tier 1 Andorian Light Escort. Since the game launched in September 6th and the offer ends after the 4 weeks, today is basically the last day to get them for free.  Also, while you can’t transfer your progress from what I know currently, you can link your Arc accounts and receive a Wrath of Khan outfit for free.

To those that are fans of the series, these outfits are pretty awesome. (And honestly my favorite)

When I was playing on the Playstation 4, with exception of the issues of the camera and the not-so-intense ground combat, it felt like a new game to me and got me hooked on it for quite a while. Comparing this to other online games is weird, because this game feels unique in a way and has its own style.  It’s certainly not the best game, no, but the creators of the game do create a lot of content for it and it certainly feels like a game that responds well with the controls and is fun to play and explore. I don't often play on console, but this certainly got me to play more on it now and meet others to venture the galaxy once again.

Overall, the game feels mostly like a single-player game, and the multiplayer PvP battles don’t really come up until later on in the game. What really drives this game is the story for the most part though, and being immersed as well.  The new changes make the game have a newer feel and there’s a lot of content to bring old and new players to it.  What is your opinion on the game so far? Are you going to play it?

Star Trek Online is a free-to-play game on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Heroes of the Storm will receive a new mode later this month. Called Heroes Brawl, this new mode brings a dose of "delightful madness" to the game, thanks to the unique maps with surreal twists and custom rulesets. A long list of "mutators" for Heroes Brawl are in the works, along with brand-new arenas and single-lane battlegrounds specifically designed for the new mode.

The Heroes of Brawl mode will change its rules on a weekly basis. Blizzard offers some examples of Heroes Brawl's variants, such as:
- Punisher Arena: rack up points by killing enemy heroes and Punishers; the first team to score 100 points wins!
- Sky Temple Arena: capture temples and use their energy beams to destroy the enemy core!
- Garden Arena: kill the Garden Terrors and Shamblers, then collect their seeds; the first team to collect 100 seeds wins!

Heroes of Brawl will land on Heroes of the Storm on October 17th. Players can get a preview of the mode on October 10th when it lands on game's PTR.

Daydream View Is Google's VR Headset for Mobile Phone, and It's Pretty Light

$

0

Google finally answers to the VR headset market with its own Daydream View, a $79 headset that turns your smartphone into a virtual reality entertainment device — of course your phone has to be certified as "Daydream-ready".

Now Daydream View is just confirmed to support Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones but it will support more including the third-party phones in the future.

According to Google, Daydream View is super soft and light. Crafted out of soft, breathable, and microfiber fabrics, the headset is 30% lighter than similar devices, like Gear VR.

One of the many things that makes Daydream View special is the controller. It looks like Wii controller with a clickable touchpad and 2 buttons. Reported by gizmodo, the controller "also uses a built-in gyroscope so people can use gestures to play games or get more serious things done while using the headset." You can learn more about the hardware aspect of the device at Google's blog post.

Clash Royale: Powerful X-Bow + Giant Skeleton Siege Deck for Arena 7-9

$

0
Hello Clashers! KairosTime here, with a powerful X-Bow Giant Skeleton Siege deck! This deck is amazing in Tournaments and Challenges because people aren’t familiar with countering the X-Bow at the moment. If your cards are leveled up, you can definitely make this successful in the ladder too!

Check out my YouTube Channel!

The Deck (Replacements):

X-bow (Mortar)
Giant Skeleton
Rocket (Lightning)
Barbarians
Minions (Mega Minion)
Elixir Collector
Zap
Cannon

Playing Siege Decks:

Since the emergence of the Royal Giant, siege decks have taken a step back, and haven’t been very common anywhere in the arena. They are slowly become more useable as the meta diversifies, but they can take some understanding of how siege decks work in order to make them successful. Playing Siege requires patience! You rarely want to place down your siege troop as your first card because it can usually be countered pretty easily if your opponent is full on elixir. Siege decks thrive on defense, so you will want to defend using troops like the Minions, Barbarians, or Giant Skeleton, and set up your X-Bow as your defenses come close to the bridge. By turning your defense into an offense, your opponent will have a hard time countering you.
Place your X-Bow 1 tile back from the bridge so you have a spot to drop support troops in front of it, and so defending troops will be targeted by your tower.

Setting the Siege:

X-Bow + Giant Skeleton - This is your strongest push against most decks! It costs 12 Elixir, so it can take a lot of preparation to set up. This is best done when you use your Giant Skeleton on Defense and set up the X-Bow as he approaches the bridge. While it is fun to get a Giant Skeleton to an enemy tower, this shouldn’t be your primary goal. The reason why this combination works so well is because the Giant Skeleton’s “Death Bomb” is a like a reset button. It will clear most defending troops in one blow, and leave a clear path for your X-Bow to lock onto the enemy tower

X-Bow + Barbarians- This is another really strong push Because your opponents troops will have to clear through your Barbarians to make their way to your X-Bow, which takes a while. This is a great push to use when facing someone with a Mini PEKKA, Lumberjack, Giant, or PEKKA. Be careful of Fireballs though!

X-Bow + Cannon/Minions - This is the cheapest set up, but is still super effective. By placing the X-Bow 1 tile from the front of the bridge, you can place your cannon right at the bridge so it will attract enemy troops like Hog Riders or Balloons. I like to use this setup when my opponent’s tower is almost gone. Place the X-Bow First, then the support troop so you can counter your opponent’s counter before they realize it’s too late. Using Minions can be a great way to put your opponent in a tough spot because a lot of anti-air troops, like the Princess, Ice Wizard, or Musketeer, will be cleared by the X-Bow very quickly.

Rocket Siege - I don’t try to rely on the Rocket as a primary win condition, but if your opponent is giving you a hard time, forget the X-Bow and go for an ultimate defense trio of Barbs, Minions, and the Cannon to allow you to Rocket your opponent’s tower to death. This is a good way to defeat an opponent who clearly has experience playing against siege decks.

Popular Offenses and How to Defend:

Hog Trifecta- When Siege was popular, so was Hog Trifecta! I included a replay against a Hog Trifecta deck here. The trick to playing against this deck is to place your barbs in front of your X-Bow. This is best done by defending against the Hog Rider with Barbarians and then dropping the X-Bow in the right spot so it can take down the enemy tower. If your opponent has a Valkyrie coming down your lane, you’ll want to defend with the Minions and prepare for a cannon in case of an oncoming Hog Rider.

Giant Poison - Because this deck type is so popular right now, we can’t ignore it! The trick to playing against Giant Poison is to place your Elixir Pumps behind towers so that your opponent can’t Poison both your pumps and your defending troops in front of the tower. The Giant Skeleton is a great defense against this deck because his bomb will clear all supporting troops behind the Giant if positioned carefully. You can also use the Cannon to distract the Giant to make your defense even stronger. Once you have successfully defended against a push, strike back with the X-Bow!

Royal Giant- When the Royal Giant got a decent buff several months ago, that is when the Siege trend died. Because this matchup is difficult for this deck to handle, I included a video of this deck that you can see here. The trick to playing against the Royal Giant is to take out the Royal Giant with either Barbarians, Minions, or the Giant Skeleton and strike back with your X-Bow as a counter-push. If you set up your X-Bow before your opponent has the Royal Giant down, they will play it on their side of the map to counter your X-Bow and your push will fail, so don’t make that mistake.

Miner Chip Damage - This is a matchup that I didn’t have experience playing against with the X-Bow because the Miner wasn’t in the game when X-Bows were popular. I included a replay on this deck here. The trick to playing against Miner Chip Damage decks is to protect your pumps, so your opponent can’t keep up with your advantage. This is done best by dropping your Barbarians, Giant Skeleton, or Minions by your pump, and then once your troops get close to the bridge, you will want to drop your X-Bow in it’s designated tile (1 behind the edge of your side of the map). If you defend properly, your opponent won’t be able to stop your push.

Lava Hound - With the recent addition of the Mega Minion and the Inferno Dragon, Lava Hound decks are becoming more strong, and more popular! This is probably your toughest matchup so I included a video of me facing this kind of deck. Check it out here. The trick to playing against a Lava Hound deck is doing everything in your power to take out support troops. You have 2 ways of doing this: Minions and the Rocket. Yes, the Rocket. Using a Rocket to take out a supporting Mega Minion, Baby Dragon, or Inferno Dragon may not seem like a wise counter because the Rocket is so expensive, but it is your only way. The Lava Hound doesn’t do much damage on it’s own so it can be ignored, but it’s Lava Pups must not be ignored. I will distract them with Barbarians or minions, and then strike back with an X-Bow attack.

Thanks for taking the time to read this guide! I hope that you have found it helpful. This isKairosTime ticking by! See you in the Arena!

After unveiled October Update plan, Supercell just revealed new Clash of Clans feature: Quick Train. With Quick Train, you can manage all troops in one place, while creating and saving your favorite army combos!

The detailed change set:

All troop and spell training now happens in single, dedicated tabs

You can now fully train two armies at a time

Quick Train lets you create 3 army plans and train any with one tap

Quick Train lets you retrain your last used army with one tap

Troops and spells in training can be reordered freely with a long tap

"Overqueued" units train and get a green check mark - you can donate these!

Barracks are now used to unlock troops and reduce their training time

To make this new training system work as well as it should, lots of times and gem costs had to be adjusted. Diligent Clashers may notice:

Training single troops is MUCH faster (3 minute Dragons!)

Full-army training times should be roughly similar to before

Small amounts of units can have a slightly higher "Finish Training" gem cost

Large amounts of units have a lower "Finish Training" gem cost

Dark and Light Details the Elder Scrolls Type of City / Town Gameplay

$

Dark and Light is designed to be a realistic sandbox world, where players can do many things and take the consequences. That's also the spirit of the Elder Scrolls games such as The Elder Scrolls  V: Skyrim: you can be a good man in the world, and you can be a criminal.

The latest dev blog of Dark and Light talks the city and towns. Player starts the game in a shantytown, a slum filled with dangers such as thieves. You will need to watch for thieves who is waiting to break into the your storage and take your hard-earned loot. You can have your own home as you progress but you still have to continually upgrade your home, locking it down.

Doing trading and other business in the city / town is a feature connected to the economy system. Players can become successful through the game's bartering economy with all trade happening at the discretion of the lord. In addition to trade, players can also invest in NPC shops to improve the quality of goods available in their city. Besides, you can attempt to be the lord of your town but it won't be easy.

NPCs aren't just some computer controlled characters doing their own things in the game. Actively interacting with them will be rewarding, like Skyrim. For instance, the local guards may hold a dungeon's key, and if you want to explore that dungeon, you must interact with the guards to get their approval. On the other hand, if you're thinking of going the "thieves’ route" by stealing from the locals, realize that the NPC guards will track you down and arrest you if you're not careful.

Clash Royale: Got to 2600 trophies as LVL 8. Miner+Mega Minion Aggressive Deck

Hey guys, it’s Sanityzzz here to share my Miner + Mega Minion deck guide with you.

My Deck

Since I haven't come across any decks this aggressive, and I almost exclusively fight higher lvls (troops and towers). Hopefully this might be of some interest to anybody around 1800 trophies. I'm on my third revision of this, and having trouble describing all the different situations I've been in, so I'll use a bigger more broad approach.

Basic Strategy
Start the game by attacking and follow up every cheap defense, with another attack. The attack's are cheap and allow you to split push, while also cycling through the deck fast. I try to damage both towers equally. If your opponent makes one large push, you simply can't defend it completely with this cheap deck. That's why having both towers low, allows you to go for a two tower victory. While your opponent can't defend both and make a large push. Ideally both enemy towers are low, and at the end of the game you can go for either of them to secure a victory, or both if necessary.

Attacking Forces
Your attacks are tanked by the Hog or Miner, and followed up with Spear Gobs, Fire Spirits, Skeletons, or Zap. This costs at most 6 elixir and always allows you to drop Barbarians on defense. That's your best defense unit and it's important to have it available when needed.

For instance, if you make a push and your opponent doesn't respond... Don't keep piling on units! Your attacking units are cheap and easy for towers to kill on their own eventually. If the opponent saves up and drops a giant and hog at your front, you'll need barbs to deal with them. The easiest way to lose with this deck is to allow the opponent to build up a deathball. You simply can't overcommit unless your opponent is already on low elixir.

Defense turning into attack
Most of your defense are very cheap units, these are perfect to transition into an attack by dropping the Miner or Hog infront. Let's say you're defending a solo Muskateer. Wait until its in range of your tower, drop some Skeletons on it and a Miner on the enemy tower. Your response costs just as much as the Muskateer, but has the potential for a lot more damage. All of your defenses are similar to this, you can even transition the Barbarians into an attack with a Miner upfront.

Discussion on Cards
All of the cards are very cheap except your defensive Barbs, and the Hogrider. You need the Barbarians because frankly no other card in the deck can defend well on its own. They have a great mix of dps and health. Every other card is cheap allowing quick transitions.

Originally I was using 3 Minions instead of the Mega Minion. This works until you get the Mega, but they're very similar to your other defenses (multiple low health bodies). Wizards/Bombers/Witch were a real problem because I could only kill them with Barbarians right on top (not efficient) or using my Miner on defense. The Mega Minion just helps your deck be a little more flexible.

Most important cards to upgrade: Hog. I jumped 300 trophies once I took him from 5 to 6. Everything else is secondary to him, but next would be:Barbarians, Zap, and Fire Spirits. You need decent level Barbarians so they can tank and deal damage. Zap needs to be able to one shot Goblins and Fire Spirits. Higher damage Fire Spirits really makes a difference when you're defending a large push.
That's the gist of it! Hope this is useful to someone, and feel free to ask specific questions (how do I respond to sparky?, etc).

Thanks Sanityzzz for sharing such a powerful deck with us, this deck guide first appeared on reddit.
