Nexon has announced the sequel to its side-scrolling multiplayer dungeon crawler Dungeon Fighter Online. Currently called Project Knock, the title completely changes the DFO IP by going to 3D and using Unreal Engine (presumably Unreal 4). What's more, the sequel will be developed by Peria Chronicles studio Thingsoft instead of Neople.
 

While Project Knock becomes a 3D game, players will be able to explore dungeons in 3D environment. Nexon hasn't revealed much about the new game but says it will have beautiful graphics. In terms of the action and combat system, Nexon says the game pursues the fun of action and has detailed lore and story.

Debuted at ChinaJoy 2016, Nexon's MapleBlitzX will start closed beta 2 in South Korea on April 20. MapleBlitzX is a 1v1 card battle arena mobile game played like Supercell's Clash Royale, and the game has 3 lanes, characters and minions from the MapleStory universe, and cute graphics.



What's cool about this game is you can make cross-lane attack with simple finger sliding control. There are some area magic spells that look powerful.

Square Enix just announced to release Dragon Quest X MMORPG to Nintendo Switch in Japan later this year, and this time they still don't announce the English version. Western players will have to wait again.
 
Dragon Quest X: Mezameshi Itsutsu no Shuzoku Online has been released for PC, Wii (shut down), Wii U, Android, iOS, Nintendo 3DS, and later this year Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. The game is only available in Japan and China at this moment.
 


Due to the localization difficulty and the fact that MMORPG (especially subscription-based MMO) isn't a big genre in the west, Square Enix has not yet decided to release the game in English-speaking markets. The Japanese PC version offers free trial but it's not easy for common western players to get access. Interested players can check out the official page.

Owlchemy Labs, the studio that created popular VR title Job Simulator will launch their new project Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality next week on Steam. Yeah, the classic Rick and Morty has returned and this time they will be in VR game in 3D! The new VR title will be playable with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive and it looks like an interesting VR adventure.


 
You are Morty and will explore Rick's garage, the Smith household, and alien worlds, solving puzzles and doing missions. You will face choices and your decision will affect your adventure. You can probe, prod, throw, and smash iconic items in the anime. What's more, the game will offer a fully voice acted adventure.
 
In order to not break things around you or disturb the others, the game is required to play in an area of 2m x 1.5m.

Launched in January 2015 as Steam Early Access title, Besiege is a building game with realistic physics and lots of amazing or ridiculous creations from the community. The developer Spiderling Studios has announced to release multiplayer mode and level editor later this year, allowing up to 8 players to fight each other with their own siege machine.

In celebration of the first manned spaceflight in human history 56 years ago, StarGem Inc. and Gaijin Entertainment today announced the release of the major Evolution Factorupdate for the Sci-fi Action MMO Star Conflict. Part of the new content is the evolvable interceptor Tai’Kin as well as the PvE game mode "Ariadne’s Thread", in which players combine forces against a rogue Artificial Intelligence.
 


Star Conflict’s brand-new PvE mode "Ariadne’s Thread" will see players explore the vast and experimental shipyards of the Blackwood Corporation, which is controlled by Ariadne, a sophisticated management AI. After repeatedly freeing itself from human control, it now has gone completely rogue by supplying the dangerous Cyber forces in their recent large-scale attack. Tasked with defeating Ariadne, players need to brace themselves for an unpredictable enemy, where every new battle can be completely different from the previous one. The encountered forces will vary in every mission and so will the secondary objectives, rewarding players with additional rewards upon completion.
 

Similar to the other fascinating spaceships of the Ellydium Corporation’s Evolution project, the new Tai’Kin is actually multiple ships at once. Thanks to the flexible evolution and customization system that allows for a large number of combinations in special modules and weapons, this fast and maneuverable interceptor will be able to outsmart its competition in many ways. For example, the ‘Return Crystal’ module will transform the Tai’Kin in into an ideal defender of any control point. Once placed, the ship can jump back to the crystal at any time, while restoring a portion of the damage sustained in previous combat.


Another major breakthrough of Ellydium engineers is the ‘Quantum Leap’, which allows the ship not only to travel through space, but time as well. At any moment in battle, the ship can return to the state and position it was in a few moments ago, leaving pursuers  in confusion and disarray. Another City of Heroes inspired MMO Valiance Online has recently demoed improved visual effects for spells and environment. The developer Silverhelm Studios also improved the character creation system. Now take a look at new new visual effects in the video below.

Black Desert Online's new kungfu master class Striker will be available in the Korean server on April 20, but its pre-creation has opened today. Some of those playing in Korean server provided curious gamers a look at the character creation.





Striker abilities
Key combat abilities (working name):

• Adamantine: This shoulder charge melee attack focuses on the enemy’s torso
• Knee Hammer: This forward charged knee kick raises your opponent up in the air and can be chained into a combo.
• Soaring Crash: This uppercut technique will send your enemies flying which can be connected into a smash down attack or a move that knocks back the opponent.
• Spinning Slash: This kick is performed by combining a spin with a kick
• Massive Suppression: A devastating grappling move where enemies are grabbed and attacked multiple times before thrown on the ground.

Players will soon take the challenge and rule the arena in gladiator-style competition as NEXON Korea rolls out registration for priority access to Arena Masters. The mobile game combines addictive action, high intensity PvP battles and real-time strategy for an all-out battle of wits and strength. Fans who register will also receive 500 Crystals at launch. Arena Masters will be available worldwide on iOS and Android on April 27.



Players will be immersed in the fast-pace 3 minutes of actions in Arena Masters, with chaotic battles to determine master of the arena. Challenged not only by fellow players, budding arena masters will also be needed to conquer the many tricks and traps throughout the arena to come out as the last man standing. Arena Master also features:

After a 6-month open beta, anime MMORPG Twin Saga finally enters commercial launch. The publisher Aeria Games has packed a lot of new content for the commercial version, including a new class Monk.



Monks pursue a vigorous training regimen that grants them physiques rivaling Adonis himself. In addition to the new class, 2 new zones, 3new dungeons and new couple system are added. The level cap increases to 70 and players can explore new areas, fighting new enemies and completing new quests.

In the beginning phase the two major ways to level up will be through the main quests and completing the dungeons. There will be tutorials given for the first few dungeons which allow you to familiarize the game. Upon reaching level 6, auto combat feature will be unlocked to minimize the grinding process needed in the game. Do take note that auto combat feature does not dodge nor uses skills for you.  
 

Entering normal mode dungeon costs 6 stamina while abyss mode dungeon costs 12 stamina. Abyss mode is unlocked when players reached level 12. Although the experience gain in abyss mode is doubled, players, especially those who have lower combat power, are advised not to tackle the dungeon by themselves. Instead, players are advised to party up to tackle abyss mode together.
 
Upon reaching level 14, players will unlock the guild feature. Finding a strong and active guild is recommended as players that are level 30 or above are able to award great amount of experience to players that are 20 or above. Forming parties within a guild also allows players to enjoy the guild buffs.
 
Daily quests will be unlocked at level 17 and completing daily quests rewards players with massive amount of experience. Players are able to request for assistance 3 times per day from other players if they are unable to complete the daily quest themselves. Completing the daily quest 6 times gives additional gold and experience while completing all 10 of the daily quest gives bonus rewards.        
 
 
Mounts will be unlocked when players reached level 21. This increases the speed of players which save large amount of time in travelling. Farms will be unlocked at level 22 but since our main focus of this guide is in levelling up, we shall let players who have reached the required level to explore the farm system on their own.
 
Not to forget, at level 27, random abyss mode dungeons with entry limits of 3 per day will be available for players to tackle. It is strongly advised to party up before tackling these dungeons as the bosses in the dungeon are insanely strong. However do not worry about failing the dungeon since it does not deduct stamina nor reduces the daily entry limit.

Developer Bitbox has released a new trailer for their medieval life simulation game, Life is Feudal: MMO, which guides viewers through a new player's first five hours in the game. Watch the video now, and immerse yourself in the harshly realistic, socially focused, medieval life simulation.



Starting as a simple and poorly equipped peasant, players will need to gather resources to set up a camp while foraging for food and starting their first campfires. Soon, they will socialize with other players, working together to gather resources and build a home. Finally, players working together will divide up duties and play out various roles in the game, be they hunters, gatherers, defenders of their village or brigands attacking other encampments. 


Life is Feudal: MMO is a large-scale group-focused RPG, that places players in a highly realistic, non-fantasy, medieval world where danger lurks around every corner. Players need to work as a team to gather resources, build shelter, craft tools and form a fully functioning feudal society in an unforgiving archaic world. Players may find a place in society as a vassal, a knight, a farmer or even royalty, as their guild builds and expands their medieval societies.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is coming later this year and EA has dropped the first trailer made up of game engine footage. The trailer shows the campaign that involves a lot of massive scene and exciting battles from the ground to the sky. Several main characters in the latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi film also appear in the trailer.
 


The single-player campaign puts you into the suit of Iden Versio, commander of an Imperial special force. Following the journey of Iden, you will encounter many of Star Wars ' greatest characters. The multiplayer mode supports up to 40 players to fight in authentic locations across all eras, while the space battle allows a maximum of 24 players to pilot renown craft like the Millennium Falcon or Luke Skywalker’s X-wing in intense space dogfight.

New information about the South American version of the Black Desert Online was revealed by RedFox Games, the publisher who will distribute the game for South American players and provide Spanish and Portuguese language support.

The pre-order for BDO South American version has started and the price is pretty high. There's the Prime pack priced at $35 which includes 1 week early access, closed beta access, 30-day benefits, certain amount of items, tier 5 horse, an exclusive title, and 500 Pearl, etc. The Legendary pack is priced at $85 and it has 2 weeks early access and more item rewards. Considering BDO NA/EU version starts at $10 now (with less in-game rewards), $35 for South American version sets a higher bar for players to enter.   


And the publisher also revealed the the server will be located in Miami, USA, which was unexpected to the Brazilian community. But RedFox said the decision was made after a test.

Ex-AION director and lead designer Jee Yongchan is currently working on a new mobile MMORPG called Luthiel for South Korean studio Entermate. The game will start closed beta in Korea on April 25 and it just looks like AION. Watch the trailer now.
 

 
Surprisingly in Luthiel, the 2 playable races are called Elyos and Asmodian, just exactly the same as AION's. Players, as Devas, can fly across the world and fight in the air. Basically the game brings over AION's world setting.
 
Players can have their own fortress where they can receive special rewards by completing fortress quests such as constructing and delivering goods. It seems that the game focuses on fortress battles.
 
It's interesting to see how NCsoft react to this project since they are also working on the mobile version of AION called AION: Legions.

Japanese toy manufacturer Mega House announced to release a VR headset specifically for Dragon Ball Z VR experience in June. The headset is called BotsNew Characters VR Dragon Ball Z and it allows you to immerse into the world of Dragon Ball Z and fight alongside Son Goku to face villains like Frieza.
 

 
The headset needs to work with a smartphone with the Dragon Ball Z VR app. The app also provides AR experience with which you can detect your friends' combat power. With the exclusive VR peripherals you can play Goku's iconic Kamehameha in AR.



 
The headset plus the VR peripherals are priced at 12,000 Japanese yen, about $110 USD.
