Ashes of Creation Shows a Lot of Details of Player Home and Node System

$
0
0

Ashes of Creation's world and gameplay center around the system called Node. Player activities in a such area will make Node progress, and the culmination of the Node will result in Metropolis eventually. Rome wasn't built in a day and before players and their civilization can advance to the phase of Metropolis, they will go through several stages first. At the village stage players can build their own houses.

Players houses are parts of the Node and as the Node keeps leveling up, player houses level up as well. For instance, you purchase a small room at the village stage and when the Node advances up to a town, your house becomes a large one. The changes include property size increase, house being located more toward the center of town, and more. Watch the trailer below.

Read more about the Node here.

Developed by South Korean studio Zemi Interactive (developer of 4Story), Travia Returns is a fantsy action-packed MMO that just launched in NA's Android and iOS platforms.

Download the Android version
Download the iOS version

Travia Returns is a Diablo-style action title sets in a medieval fantasy world. It has MMORPG's elements like grinding, exploration, and group PvE and PvP contents.

Game Features

▶ Explore
In order to participate in the war, you will need to play a single mode game and level up. This is done on Explore mode.

Explore mode consists of 24 stages. You can level up, gather gold and acquire gears to either equip or sacrifice them to enhance your equipped gears.

▶ Conquest
As you play along Explore, you will probably fall short of Gold. You can either Auto Repeat the same stage over and over again in Explore mode or join the open field Conquest mode.

In Conquest mode, you can play with other players. You won't be able to party up or fight them, but you will be able to see them and talk to them. You probably want to take a spot and Fix yourself there and set it to auto hunt. Your character will then claim all the Gold you will ever need.

▶ Battleground
There are other MMO zones besides Conquest mode. One of them is the Battleground where you can PvE and PvP at the same time.

The Battle Ground produces lots and lots of Gold compared to Explore or Conquest. But you will be facing other players, so it will be a dangerous place to simply auto hunt. Once you enter Battleground, you will either be placed in red or blue team. Your goal is of course to acquire as much Gold as possible. Have strong team mate is definitely a plus here.

▶ Arena
Potions in Travia Returns are a valuable component since it will automatically heal. This potion can be earned in the Arena. You will get one HP potions if you lose, but will get more if you win. So trying the Arena is always a plus.

▶ Feudal war
If you think you are strong enough and ready for the next step, then join a guild and participate in the feudal war which is a territory war. Fief Occupation War happens during weekdays. Plunder Wars happens during the weekends.

Feudal war will progress from Monday(00:00) ~ Friday(24:00) every weekdays. You will need feudal war enter key to join the feudal war. (If you have used all the keys, you can use Gems to enter.)

You can join the feudal war with four of your Bot Guild Members. (Once you have accompanied the Guild Members, you will not be able to use them for 6 hours.)

▶ Plunder war
Plunder will occur every Saturday 9 am to 9 pm, Sunday 9 am to 9 pm.
Plunder is a system where you can steal Feudal Points from other guilds.

To proceed with Plunder, you will need Feudal war enter key. (You can use Gems to enter as well. You will not consume any key when defending.)

The battle will occur in real time and end when you have destroyed the opponent’s guild core.

You will not be able to resurrect when you die during Plunder. (The defense team will be able to resurrect and be invulnerable for 5 seconds. You also will be able to reenter.)

Destiny - Age of Triumph: The Final Task

$

With the updated raids now here, we now have all 4 raids to complete once more and one final record book to complete and it’s by far the hardest one. This could very well be the final task for Destiny, and those of you like me who have stuck with it since Beta I thank you. For those of you who came in during Year 1 thank you. For those of you who joined in Year 2 or are just joining us in Year 3, this a great opportunity to see what you you missed in Years 1 and 2. Let’s take a look at what this final task has to offer.

We got the old logo back!!

First I want to address the new stuff that Age of Triumph has given us. Let’s start off with the Daily Challenges. Obviously there is one for Crucible and one for Vanguard, however this time it’s different. For the Crucible you need 3 games instead two to reach all of the rewards which consists of the Treasure of Ages (Similar to Treasures of the Dawning) which gives you loot from the previous Treasure Boxes (Sterling Treasures, Radiant Treasures, Treasures of the Dawning), as well as 20 Legendary Marks. As for Vanguard, you have to play 5 games in order to receive all rewards.

Das a lot of loot.

Strikes and the Nightfall are no different as they were before however there are two new things to do in order to get more loot. There are now weekly Challenge of the Elders for that beautiful loot. Not only that but there are now weekly raids added to the challenges. How many Challenges can they add to Destiny give us….how about an entire book!

13 Pages? Jesus Christ.

This is by far the longest book we have had within Destiny (I bet a good number of you haven’t finished it yet.) with some of the hardest challenges yet. For each page we complete we get a emblem corresponding to that page. If we complete the book we get a special reward for when Destiny 2 comes out. I am not going to list every single challenge that is the book because that would take a while, so let’s just say it’s a lot. It’s going to test your skill as a Destiny player, so get cracking on those books!!

This should be fun.

Finally we leave the best for last, the raids. You might be asking why are we talking about the raids? Well they have been raised to 390/400 light level so they are a lot harder. Bungie has also patched all possible cheese spots so now you really have to communicate with your team. In addition to raising the light level of the raids themselves, the light level of the loot has also been raised. However unlike the first time you played the raids, the loot system is very different.

Time to find some friends to do it with.

Yes the loot system is pretty different. Not wildly different but different enough to mention it. For one thing there are two types of drops for raid primary weapons now. It’s split between Legendary which have no elemental burn and exotics which do have elemental burn. The only way to get the Exotic Versions of each of the primary weapons is to do the raid challenges and 9 times out of 10 you will most likely get the exotic versions of weapons, mind you some of the challenges like preventing The Templar from Vault of Glass from teleporting are very difficult, so you really have to work with your team. However it is very much worth the effort. As for armor, there’s nothing special you have to do, just go along with the raid and you get bits and pieces of the armor. The armor like most armor recently comes with an ornament with two options for how you want it to look and you get the ornaments by doing the raid, doing challenges or getting them in loot chests. The older raids such as Vault of Glass and Crota’s End now also feature Ghost Shells for those raids.

I was lucky enough to get Vision of Confluence!!!

Overall I believe this is what Destiny should have been from the very beginning but what happened, happened and we should enjoy this one final task for Destiny. What do you guys think? Do you think this is a fitting final task? Is this what Destiny should have been from the start? Or do you just not care and have given up on Destiny. Or have do you have hope on what Destiny 2 will be like and have finished the tasks in the book? Leave your comments down below and thank for reading this short little article!

Thank You For Reading!!!

Black Desert is a 3-year-old game now although it's just released in the west in March 2016. The game is still a popular MMO and constantly releases new updates. The developer Pearl Abyss has no intention to stop the game's development and in a recent interview with DualShockers the Lead Producer JaeHee Kim shed some light on the future content revealed in early April's Oasis Festival.

Regarding the second new class teased during the Oasis Festival, Kim stated that it was a completely new class instead of the female version of Striker, and its development was expected to complete around winter 2017. The large airship shown in the image above is for public transportation, at least it's for now, and there's no plan at the moment to implement personal airship that allows players to explore from the sky freely.

When asked about their collaboration with Silicon Studio's, Kim replied "we continuously aim to develop and improve Black Desert Online and we felt that Silicon Studio’s technology would give our game the best possible added value after testing several  alternatives. Yebis is just the beginning. We strive to build an ultra-realistic world and lively environment for our players."

South Korean MMO games are moving to mobile platforms in a full speed in 2017. A large number of Nexon's game studios are now making mobile MMOs or mobile multiplayer games and Pathfinder8 is one of them. The studio's upcoming action MMORPG Kaiser is another typical Korean MMO with a large open world, 4 classes: Warrior, Archer, Mage and Assassin, infinite tower, and large-scale PVP.

The game will start Android closed beta in South Korea soon. Usually this type of game doesn't have a lot of audience in the west and as of now there's no clue that Nexon will release the game in the global market.

Forts Review, An Excellent Real-Time Multiplayer Strategy Game

$
0
0
Released on Steam three weeks ago, Forts is a multiplayer real-time, physics-based, strategy game where opponents design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth, and turn their enemies to dust. In the game developed by EarthWork Games, you will manage resources, develop your tech tree, unlock more advanced weapons to target the weak points of your enemies, and watch with satisfaction as their own masterpiece blows up.

Graphics-wise, Forts remains rather simple, with 2D models and animations that nonetheless work great for this genre. You can truly feel the impact of your weapons and that of your enemies’, and explosions are always nice to see.

As for the gameplay, while Forts is mostly focused around building up your own base, or fort, a comparison with Worms will be inevitable. Indeed, the 2D backgrounds and the way the weapons and projectiles work here will be quick to remind you of the Worms franchise, but that is where the similarities.

Because Forts is a real-time game, and everything happens in...real-time. Your opponent won’t give you the luxury of calmly planning your next move. It won’t be unusual for you to be building up your structure, only to get hit by a mortar, or to assign units to defend yourself from said mortars, only to have snipers take them out. This is even more exacerbated in matches where you will be facing more than one opponent, although you will have allies to count on in such cases.

Thus everything happens at the same time, building up your fort, defending yourself from enemy fire, and attacking your opponents, all while making sure that your base remains stable. Because Forts is first and foremost a physics based game. While it is obvious that this would affect the projectiles you use, your structure is also affected by it. Build it too think, and you will not only risk having enemy fire toppling it over, but your own attacks will end up lacking accuracy if the fort is too shaky.

The concept is rather simple. Players are assigned basic forts on either side of the map. These contain a reactor, mining devices, as well as storage devices and some wooden walls to protect it all. From there, you will have to expand your base, ensuring that the foundations are strong enough to support its weight. To protect your structure from enemy attacks, you can use wooden bracers (cheap and light, but weak), armored bracings (high defense but expensive and heavy), armored doors (basically armored doors that can open to allow your units to attack) and. As for the weapons, they are quite varied, with machine guns, sniper rifles, incendiary mortars, swarm missile launchers, cannons and plasma lasers.

The modes available are equally varied, with a basic Campaign that serves as both a story mode and a tutorial, a Skirmish mode (1 vs 1 matches against the game’s AI), a Sandbox mode where players are free to experiment with various strategies and fort designs, and finally the Multiplayer mode where up to 8 players can confront each other. The game even offers players the ability to save their replays or create their own maps.

Conclusion

Forts is an excellent title that brings about interesting concepts that work great for this genre. The real-time aspect of the game is probably its greatest appeal, constantly keeping players on their toes as they decide between upgrading their forts or attacking the enemies, all while being ready to sustain through the assaults of these same enemies.

The team behind Dark and Light clearly doesn't want people to forget about the game as it's launch gets closer, releasing new updates every couple of weeks or so. This time, the update takes the form of screenshots comparing the appearance of Dwarves between the game released over 10 years ago, and the upcoming one.

They also shared screenshots showcasing some of the improvements made in the graphics, and announced that the Early Access would be available later this year, which may or may not be another delay.

Check out some of the work our devs have been putting into fleshing out the world of Dark and Light! Improved models, textures, lighting, and general world design are just a few of the things being polished up for the Early Access launch later this year.

Filipino Players Still Love Ragnarok Online!

Philippine Ragnarok Onlinefirst held its Beta phase way back in 2003. I can still remember the early alpha stages where only a few classes are available to play (Novice and Swordsman only, then a few classes are added on each stage). Then comes the Closed Beta, Local hosted Beta's and then the Open Beta. RO-PH started as a Subscription base game where players need to pay to be able to play. From a limited few hours to a month worth of game time, I can still remember how I try to manage my college student allowance just to be able to play the game for at least 3 hours each day. The game was a blast with over 10 million players throughout the country making the servers go KABOOM during its early Open Beta Stage!

my own personal collection of 15 years old Ragnarok (in to the abyss) manhwa

Fast forward, Philippine Ragnarok Online evolved to cope with the current trend in the gaming world. The game went Free to Play with optional VIP system, started a new and classic server, added new class stages (3rd jobs, 4th jobs, Rebirth system etc), and a lot more maps, monsters, items, bgm's, head gears etc.

A very sad moment came when the game was shut down in 2015. Ragnarok Online players scattered playing new games and some in Ragnarok Online Private servers, but many hoped that the day will come when Ragnarok Online PH players will be reunited again.

and that day came yesterday!

8:00AM: RO Early Birds already flock the gates of the venue. (50+ people)

9:00AM: A flock of early birds now seems to be an army of them. Smiling and Self organized, they already started to meet and greet each other. I can hear old players talking about the old servers (Chaos, Loki and Lydia) and some even brought their whole family and guild to join the event!

and the line goes all the way to the other side and around the building!

ENTRY: Intensely Rush. You can see people rushing, running and even pushing others on the supposed to be escalator turned stairs since it's not working lolz

I really have no idea how long the line is. In my video you can clearly see that the line spiral down to 3rd and 2nd floor but some says it goes way down to the ground floor!

The image below is taken a few minutes after we reach 4th floor.

The event started with the registration of early birds, guild attendance, head gear and cosplay.

While the registration queue is busy, we can see the Game Community Managers roaming around, meeting and greeting players of old and new.

I was lucky enough to catch a few of the head gear contestants and their creations:

Along with the Head Gear and Cosplay contest, the event also held its Art/Painting Contest:

At the middle of the event, the Big Bosses of the New Ragnarok Online Philippines gave their own heartwarming speech.

One of the highlights in this event is the live performance of two of the most favorite bands here in the Philippines, the IMAGO and SANDWICH!

Tons of prizes are given away on the event. From gaming mouse, gaming headset, angelring/poring dolls, cash prizes and the biggest of all is a brand new motorcycle (the most popular vehicle in the country).
He is definitely the luckiest and happiest RAGNA Fan who came to the event!

Ragnarok Online is the pioneer MMORPG that is held dear by many Filipino players here in the Philippines and beyond. I enjoyed the RAGNA FEST even though I was not able to bring home any item, not even an ingame item code!, except for the MEDIA ID that the crew gave me(not sure if I was supposed to return it >,<). I know that most were unable to get any item too, but the sheer quantity of people who went to the event and endured the long wait and long line, proves that Filipino's still loves Ragnarok Online. The most fun part of the event is meeting old and new Ragnarok Online Players. Sharing and laughing about the stories embeded in our mind. The warm memories we share from each stages of the game, the fun and frustration of being a novice, the lack of guides, the "sabog" builds, the girl posers, the scammers, the glitched warp spots, the boss hunts, hours of "tambay mode" in Prontera and many many more. Players also shared their life struggles, life changing moments and even LOVE STORIES (even marriage stories) that all started with Ragnarok Online! It was a heartwarming day, a fun event and a Ragnarok Online filled future that I myself will be looking forward.

Aside from the "May 17" that showed on a short clip about the life struggles of a Gamer, I also caught something from Mr. Kitamura Yoshinori's speech that may hint about the game's BETA stage. If I remember correctly, he said "at the end of beta this month". Will the RO PH Beta starts on 17th and ends this month too? Or my speculation is pretty wrong? Did you enjoy the RAGNA FEST? Wish you went there? Did you get at least an ingame item code? Can i have one?! Please post your comment below!

Thank you and See you all in Ragnarok Online Philippines!

Note: If you are present in any of the pictures and would like to be taken out, please send me a pm on my facebook account. If you also would like to get a copy of the picture then please do not hesitate to send a pm too. Thank you.

Ragnarok Mobile: Merchant Guide

Ragnarok Mobile is one of the mobile versions of the memorable MMORPG Ragnarok Online. Just yesterday the game moved to a new episode, opening its doors to a new class. The MERCHANT Class is finally unlocked!!!

Please take note that the game is in Chinese Language and the server is in China. However this does not prevent anyone, including players who know nothing about the Chinese language, to learn and enjoy the game. In fact the game is so easy to understand that even I who also know nothing about Chinese was able to make a multiple guides.

I would like to begin this guide from the novice stage until you becoming a Merchant. I will discuss a lot of stuff, about skills, builds and gameplay which are all based on my own gameplay, opinion and experience. Please take note that you DO NOT have to follow each step/builds/stats and you can do whatever you like throughout the process as long as it makes you happy. I highly suggest that you yourself try to find the gameplay and build which suits your taste.

~Merchant Leveling Guide~

Let's begin!!!

~Merchant Class Introduction~
Merchant Class is the new melee physical class who uses an axe as its main weapon. The merchant class also use its cart to attack enemies but it is not only a battle class. This class also have skills that will make life easier. From discount and overcharge skills to expanding your carry capacity, the merchant class is definitely one of the most interesting initial classes on this game. The Merchant class can upgrade to Blacksmith once it reach Base Level and Job Level 40.

~What to Expect as a Merchant~
Life and gameplay of a merchant is not as easy as the other classes. Basically a merchant needs a Priest/HighPriest support to level up faster but don't be disheartened because I prepared something that will definitely help you on your leveling journey as a solo merchant class.

~Merchant Job Change Guide~
The Merchant Job Change is fast and easy just like the other first job change quest. Please follow the steps below in completing the Merchant Job Change Quest.

Before starting the Merchant Job Change Quest, your character must first reach Novice Job level 10.

Once you reach Novice Job Level 10, please enter the Job Change building in Prontera City.

Once inside, your character should automatically talk to the Grand Npc. If not then please talk to the Grand NPC to start the Job Change Quest.

~Merchant Stat Builds~
There are 3 main STATS builds for merchants. The AGI Solo Build which focuses on surviving and leveling without the help of a support by relying on its AGI stats and equipment's to dodge attacks, The STR Solo build on the other hand rely on highly upgraded equipment's to drastically reduce enemy attacks and STR stats to cause more damage (this is an expensive build as you need to purchase lots of pots!) and the Leech Build which basically rely on the support to provide the survival it needs. When I say "support" it can be any class that initiates the attack on an enemy and let the merchant cause damage... or just simply a Leecher who lets the merchant sit in the corner while it farms exp.

AGI SOLO BUILD
29 DEX // 59 AGI
The most popular and cheapest build since it rely on AGI to avoid enemy attacks.

STR SOLO BUILD
29 DEX // 59 STR
This is an expensive build as you need highly upgraded and expensive sets (Cats blessing STR or VIT set), unless you have a Priest/High Priest.

LEECH BUILD (My Merchant Build)
29 INT // 59 STR or PURE STR
Relying on Priest/HighPriest Heals, Magni and Buffs, your merchant will be able to attack on its own while not bothering about its survival. The INT is for SP regeneration unless you have SP Regen Equipment sets.

~Merchant Skill Builds~
There are 2 main SKILL builds for merchants.

BATTLE BUILD (My Merchant Build)

Level 10 CART ATTACK
Level 10 STRENGTHEN CART
Level 10 CRAZY UPROAR
Level 10 FUND RAISING or Level 10 MAMONITE

The Battle Build focuses on fighting alone, in group or in leech mode. Cart Attack will be your main attack skill which damage is increased by Strengthen Cart and Crazy Uproar. Fund Raising will provide bonus zenies every time you kill a monster. You may choose to spend the last 10 skill points on MAMONITE however please do take note that although this skill is spammable, Cart Attack have higher damage and Momonite uses zenies on each attack. This build is suitable to any stats mentioned above.

ZENY BUILD (Rich AF)

Level 10 DISCOUNT
Level 10 OVERCHARGE
Level 10 FUND RAISING
Level 10 MAMONITE

Leech mode all day, everyday and every time? Then this build will suits you best! Discount will make sure that whatever item you purchase from an NPC will save you some Z's. Overcharge and Fund Raising will increase the input of zenies while Mamonite will use zeny to deal damage. Not suitable during low levels, newbies and poor players (like me =P)

PURE STR + BATTLE BUILD
5.2K Damage on level 30 Skeletons with level 10 Cart Attack (with level 10 Blessing + Level 10 Strengthen Cart + Level 1 Crazy Uproar)
Current Base Level: 25
Current Job Level: 21
Skill Build:

Check out the next page for my current equipment build!

~My Merchant Equipment's~
There are new AXE weapons added on the game that can be used by merchants. You may craft the new weapons from each town and some can be upgraded in Orc Village. However, the stats and compatibility of the new axe weapons does not compliment with my build (PURE STR). So I will rather use my CBT server item build which is shown below:

Weapon: 神圣大驹短剑
Stats: ATK+240, STR+5. Have higher chance of having ATK+30 for 15 sec when doing normal attack and stackable up to 3 times.
Bonus Stats: ATK+10% if STR reach 95 // ATK+5% if STR reach 120 // ATK+5% if STR reach 150. (If STR reach 150 the total bonus stats will be ATK+20%)
This weapon is perfect for my PURE STR Build.

Off Hand: 蔷薇姬的手镯
Stats: DEF+31 and Ignore 25% of targets Def
Another great equipment to boost my Pure Str Build attack

Armor + Garment + Boots: STR Cats Blessing set.
Stats:
DEF +46 MaxHP+1000
Def +25 Flee +15
Def +22 Movement SPD+5% AGI+2
Set Stats: STR+5, Gear's ASPD+5%

You may opt for the VIT Cats Blessing which also have HP and SP Recovery, but honestly merchants do not require too much SP.

Accessories: Moon Ring (
月亮胸针)
Stats: ATK+42 MaxSP +75, increase SP recovery +5%
You may opt for the upgraded clip(红玛瑙发夹)
. I rather use this one as i also have a Sniper on the same account. I actually plan on purchasing upgraded clip once I sold my vip tickets.

~Merchant Leveling Guide~
Please take note that I'am always following my 3 days leveling routine to reach 2nd Job as soon as possible.

DAY 1:
Level 10: As soon as my merchant gain 1 skill point, which the Grand NPC will ask you to put on Cart Attack, I imediately went to skeletons in sunken ship. My normal hits range from 400-450ish while my Level 1 Cart Attack does 900ish damage.

Level 20+ Same spot, Skeletons at Sunken Ship. Soon I was able to 1 hit kill the level 30 skeletons.

and a few more levels, I was able to deal almost twice the needed damage to 1 hit kill them.

2 hours before server resets, I did my boards quest which includes kill quest.
Cart attack cause almost 7k damage!

At the end of the 1st day I only reached level 29 (Usually 31+) due to the fact that the merchant was only released at 11:30am yesterday. Thats 11 hours and 30 minutes worth of questing and grind!

DAY 2:
The 2nd day starts with my character listening to music on A1 channel.

After getting extra 60 stamina, I continue my quest... now at level 30 doing byalan quest.

Sorry for the low quality video =(

Level 33
8.2K Cart Attack at 90 STR (Blessing + Uproar) + 10% Bonus damage from weapon!

8.8K Cart Attack Damage when weapon special buff is active!

At the end of the day, i reached level 36 and now moving to Geffen and Goblins for grinding/quest.

DAY 3:
Level 36 and still 1 hit kill normal mobs at 8K+ damage per Cart Attack!

Today is the day that my Merchant will reach Blacksmith. With 6 5xEXP quest, Boards Quest and a pretty long Quest line +9 more 300 kill quest, hopefully I will reach Blacksmith Job level 15 so that i can complete the Blacksmith Skill tree and data.

This part will be updated until I reach Blacksmith.
