Tango 5: The Last Dance is a Turn-Based MOBA Game for PC and Mobile

0
0

At last year’s GStar, Nexon unveiled a cross-platform turn-based strategy MOBA title named Tango 5: The Last Dance. Today, the game has just entered the Beta Phase in Korea, and players are available to pre-register on its official site.

Unlike other MOBA games such as League of Legends and Vainglory, Tango 5 is a SRPG mobile game featuring turn-based gameplay and grid-like battleground. As a 5 vs 5 competitive game, players need to capture as many as strategic points to win the game.

In Tango 5, there are 12 different characters, and each character has its own abilities and combat style. With the real-time battle, players only need to wait the cool-down time of their characters’ abilities and movement rather than other players.

Since there are at least 3 strategic points in the battleground, there is no way you can win the game without teamwork. Nexon will keep polishing the balance and adding more characters and playgrounds to the game.

Wild West Online's World Will Be Bigger Than GTA 5's at Launch

The Red Dead Redemption-themed MMO Wild West Online will come to PC this year. After the success of crowdfunding, the game will even include with the game's stretch goals available at launch, including female character options, social activities, localizations and more. However, there are still more questions players want to know, so the DEV team opened a FAQ and answered a few questions that were brought up by the community.

We picked some interesting answers here, and you can check out full FAQ by visiting WWO official forum.

  • Game will have both first and third person cameras that you can switch on fly. You can also adjust the FOV for the first person camera.
  • Clothing/cosmetic items will not have stats, guns and other usable items will of course have different stats.
  • Items have different rarity, something like Common -> Uncommon -> Rare -> Epic -> Legendary -> Mythical
  • WWO is based on the old west of the late 1800s, early 1900s, but it's not historically correct and will not reference on any real world events.
  • You will be able to own a house/farm in the game. And you will be able to customize your house and even decorate it to some extent.
  • You can mix and match outfits, and we'll have shirts, trousers, etc. Here's some of the ideas - nothing final for the ladies.
  • There will be two types of servers - official servers that feature PVP and PVE mixed activities, as well as community managed and run RP servers, where the community will set their own rules for each server.
  • In WWo, you can see different kinds of weapons: Pistols, shotguns, repeater rifles, basically things you expect to see in a western styled game plus some experimental guns from that era.
  • The map will be restricted in size. We expect it'll be somewhat bigger than the GTA 5 map at the start and we'll expand it during first year of the game's operation.

NCsoft Gifts Every Employee a Nintendo Switch and a Copy of Breath of the Wild

NCsoft CEO Kim Taek-Jin just announced to gift all its employees a Nintendo Switch console and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. When talked to Korean media Gamefocus about this unexpected decision, Kim said that he enjoyed Breath of the Wild and shared his experience inside the company with the employees.

Kim Taek-Jin has been actively trying the latest games and gaming hardware for years and as console gaming market keeps growing, he wants NCsoft to enter that market. Buying Nintendo Switch and games for the employees is a good yet expensive way to get the employees involved in console gaming.

Kim Taek-Jin

NCsoft attempted to enter console market several years ago by setting up a team, trying to port Blade & Soul for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. Apparently Kim Taek-Jin hasn't given up.

However, the decision to purchase the console and game for every employee was so sudden and NCsoft can't purchase more than 3,000 Switch consoles in a short time. What's more, Switch hasn't officially launched in South Korea, and it will take a while before every NCsoft employee can delve into the world of Breath of the Wild.

Lineage 2 Revolution: Classes Guide for the Human Race

0
0
Human is the most balanced class in Lineage 2 Revolution, and he is capable of doing different roles in the team. There are 3 base classes: Warrior, Rogue, and Mage, each of which can advance to one of the 2 subclasses. If you play human, you need to know which subclass fits you best.

Warrior subclasses

Paladin

Paladin is a melee class with sword and shield. With Human race’s high HP, Paladin can be a very tanky hero. Due to the defend specialization, Paladin is not a class that can deal massive damage, but sustainable fighting capability make him play an essential role in a team.

Warlord

Warlord is a warrior class who has a longer attack range. The Warlord is more capable in one-on-many battles than in one-on-one combat and prefers long-range weapons, such as halberd. In addition, he demonstrates his power most effectively in groups, such as during siege battles.

Rogue subclasses

Treasure Hunter

Treasure Hunter is a DPSer that has greatest sustained damage among all classes. Although Treasure Hunter’s critical hit chance and critical damage are lower than other DPSer, the high basic attack and attack speed boosted skill can make up for his deficiencies.

Hawkeye

Rather than using daggers, the Hawkeye threatens opponents from afar using a longbow. Hawkeyes become even more powerful as part of a party. The Hawkeye's aim is accurate against single opponents.

With the special “Sniping” ability, Hawkeye has the highest burst damage among all classes in Lineage 2 Revolution, but comparing to other classes, Hawkeye’s dodge ability and HP is relatively low, so keep an eye on the HP and position when you play this class.

Mage subclasses

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer is a very perplexing being who borrows the power of the elements to cast extreme elemental magic. He supports his allies by pouring fire down upon enemies from a distance using Fireball and Volcano skills. It’s a versatile class who can perfectly for solo, team fight and PVP.

Bishop

The Bishop is a holy person who brings about miracles of healing and recovery using the highest level of recovery magic. If necessary, Bishops can engage in melee combat to protect themselves. His attack can be increased by the nearby party members, and he also has abilities to increase the defense and maximum HP for nearby party members.

Is Warcraft Mobile on Blizzard's Agenda? A New Job Ad Suggests This

0

A recent job posting spotted by the guys from NeoGAF on Blizzard's site, suggests that the big studio has another title on its busy agenda. The job ad found by NeoGAF refers to an FX artist for an "unannounced project at the company's Irvine office". Beside the usual requirements such as talent, experience, and so forth, that we encounter in every job posting, one final point from the requirements section leads our thoughts to the idea of a future Warcraft mobile title.

"Passion for creating imagery synonymous with the Warcraft IP" is a strong hint that points towards a Warcraft mobile game. More over, the announce states that any applicant will need to be able to work with a small team, to be familiar with Unity, to work on a variety of mobile platforms, and so forth. The actual trend where popular games are brought on mobile devices, transformation which usually makes them more popular, seems to have infiltrated into Blizzard headquarter.

Ashes of Creation Referral Program Stirs up Controversy

0
0

I'm watching Ashes of Creation with an enthusiasm that I haven't felt since ... well, since I became aware of Vanguard during its development back in 2002. Let's hope Ashes fares better... The kickstarter has done amazingly well, blowing through stretch and backer goals left and right, and as I type this it's sitting at a cool $2,554,256. That is pretty amazing, given the current kickstarter fatigued landscape of MMOs.

If you've seen anything about it, you've likely also seen people spamming their referral codes for the game, as Intrepid Studios decided to forgo paying a marketing firm in favor of relying on gamer word of mouth - and rewarding said gamers for their advertising. It's been the subject of much debate, with lots of people spamming referral links across all forms of social media, others criticizing them both for spamming and for stealing money from the development of the game. Still others claim the program was just a sketchy pyramid scheme. an accusation that has something of a sting given Steven Sharif's background in marketing with XanGo, a multilevel marketing sellar of nutritional supplements.

In a recent article,  PCGamer caused something of an uproar by claiming that the referral program no longer counted Kickstarter pledges among revenue earned. Many people were understandably upset, given that there had been no official statement on the part of Intrepid Studio to inform their playerbase of this change. Comments on the Ashes of Creation kickstarter and across various forums that I've seen included such reactions as people considering pulling their pledges because they had to learn such a change via a third party site rather than official statements.

Earlier this evening, Steven Sharif responded, stating that PCGamer's reporting was an outright lie, and further that he has sent a request for a retraction to PCGamer. So far, there has been no response from PCGamer.

Sharif has also said there has been no change to the referral program, aside from the language change done at the behest of Kickstarter.

To my eyes, there was a clear bias in the PCGamer piece, although I do admit that I also have a clear bias in favor of Ashes in my articles about the game, so I am keeping an eye on developments and will update as I see any. I'd love to see any feedback, so let me know your opinions in the comments below!.

Playable races
According to Japanese media 4Gamer, each player will be able to bring along a party of 6, and the maximum number of players in a party is 3. It means there will be a total of 18 characters in group content.

Conan Exiles Responds to Concerns on Patch Cadence and "Listen to Community"

0
0
In the latest "answers of the week", Funcom responded to the latest questions regarding Conan Exiles. While the game is the Early Access stage, fans are complaining about the cadence of releasing new content and fixes. In response to the the accusation that the dev team wasn't working fast enough, Creative Director Joel Bylos defended that:

Let me ask this back to you. What should we do, that we aren’t already doing? The team is working as fast as they can legally work, we have opened a bunch of new positions to hire (but  that takes time) and we are making steps to improve the game every patch. You say that we are fixing things too slow…okay, but if we cannot physically work more often or harder then what is the solution? We’ve already hired two external companies to contract with us and help out. You say that content is coming too slow, but again, are you asking that we whip the devs and make them work more than legally is allowed?

After all, the game is in Early Access.

Another major concern from the community centered on Funcom isn't listening to the community enough. Joel B. answered:

As for forcing our "creative" choices on players, let me be clear: We are making the game we have envisioned, and trying to incorporate player feedback and ideas. But we’re not making  a "community consensus" game. We told people what we want the game to be, and what our goals are for the game.

Finally, it is easy to sit outside and say "listen to community", but the community consist of a large amount of people who all want different things. PvP players want very different things to PvE players. Modders want a different focus again, as do RPers. Server Admins also want a bunch of features. We try to align with what we are doing, and do our very best to give people the things that they ask for.
