Finally heroes of Overwatch may be heading to the space and fight on other planet, as Blizzard teases something new via Atlas News, the Overwatch news channel, that the Horizon Lunar Colony moonbase was still operational.

This message from Nevsky to Winston raises players’ speculation that Horizon Lunar Colony moonbase itself could be the next new map. If you don’t know Blizzard has the tradition to drop hints around their channels in and out the game. It’s confirmed before there were 6 new maps in development and it’s surely a fantastic idea to have one of the new maps on the moon.

The Black Desert Steam launch has been a success although PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds remains the best seller on Steam. Although BDO Steam version requires players to create a new game account to play, it uses the same megaserver as the client version, and that makes the NA and EU servers crowded these days.

Black Desert launches on Steam on May 25 for $5.99 for a limited time.

Following the footstep of Netmarble Games, Kakao Games, and NetGames (developer of HIT), Black Desert developer PearlAbyss is also getting ready for IPO and expected to be listed on the Korean stock market in September 2017.

Report said that PearlAbyss’ Black Desert Online generated $25 million USD revenue and $15 million USD profits in the second half of 2016. BDO continues to expand to more regions in 2017 and the game has released on Steam platform and will be coming to South American and Taiwanese market later this year. What’s more the mobile version is in development and expected to hit the mobile gaming market sometime in 2017 or 2018.

Korean game companies especially mobile game companies grow aggressively in 2016 and 2017 due to the popularity of the new generation mobile games like HIT, Summoners War, and Lineage 2 Revolution, etc. The growth of Korean mobile game market will probably last for a few years, with Bless, Blade & Soul, Kingdom Under Fire and Black Desert mobile games are on the way.

Snail Games revealed new screenshots recently, taking players to the Dead Island located on the southeastern sea in the continent of Ganareth in Dark and Light’s Alpha planet.

According to Snail Games, the island was a green and lively land like the main continent but it turned to what it looked like now after a massive war of ancient dragons. The huge dragon bones on the island aren’t just visuals but designed to be made use of in open world PvP. These bones are powerful magic barriers and they can protect players from enemy players’ magic attacks and those try to attack from the sky with their flying mounts.

For players who are committed to the magic of necromancer, these dragon bones are special resources.

Portal Knights Review, An Unconvincing Medley Of Sandbox And ARPG

The arrival of the alpha of Minecraft in 2010 undoubtedly shaped the genre’s landscape, redefining the concepts of exploration and discovery. Since then, the title of Mojang has inspired a number of developers, and some titles such as Terraria have convinced and surpassed the simple brand of "minecraft clone". Portal Knights, which is undoubtedly part of this line of game, was recently officially released on Steam.

The Minecraft inspiration is felt at the first glance, the universe of Portal Knights being built in cubes, and our inventory appearing in the form of a horizontal bar at the bottom of our screen. But all this is not just a matter of dressing, since in terms of mechanics we are dealing with a world generated in a procedural way, which can be broken by using the proper tool according to the material. And while players can destroy, they can also build by using the blocks they’ve recovered and arranging them as they please. However, the creation is set back in this title which decided to put forward mechanics that are more of the traditional action RPG genre.

Let us first introduce the context of Portal Knights, in order to understand its motivations. We are evolving in a post-apocalyptic world , one might say, since it has undergone a great cataclysm: the "Fracture". The world was thus split into multiple flying islands and it is up to the players to link them again. To do this, we’ll have to visit each of the 47 islets and open their teleport portals by completing objectives and finding the right materials.

This concept raises Portal Knights' major difference with Minecraft: instead of finding ourselves in an immense environment, where we can create our own narrative, we go through a succession of very small worlds without immense potential that are quite similar in structure even if their appearance varies. Very quickly, a routine takes place: we arrive on an island, we go around it recovering materials and killing enemies, we find teleport portal, and we move to the next island.

By wanting to be different, the title of Keen Games evades any creative interest, any sandbox aspect: why build and decorate a house, in a world of such limited size and possibilities that we are destined to leave within the hour?

Of course, things can be different when playing with others (two in local split screen, and up to four online). The adventure then takes on another flavor, building a base on one of the islands can serve as a central hub, and cooperation between classes can be interesting. This can, however, be quite restrictive. Should a player want to travel to a different island to gather materials, all the players in the world will have to go with them.

Portal Knights proposes several classes; If it limits its creative aspect, it is because it places a lot on the action and the role playing aspect. At the beginning of the game we manage our character sheet in the way of many RPGs: appearance, class (ranger, mage or warrior) and name. Later we will find other classical components of the genre, such as the addition of attribute points at each level (strength, constitution, agility, etc.), the choice of skills specific to our class, and even the evolution of equipment.

"Classic" is unfortunately the term that best describes the RPG side of Portal Knights. Craft is quite shallow, just like skills, battles or quests. We appreciate the effort of the developers and their willingness to mix to get a wind of freshness: No, Portal Knights is not a clone of Minecraft. However the medley is badly operated, and damages the sandbox aspect as to the action side, put side by side without genius. Certainly, the controls work well and the achievements are qualitative, but the artistic direction and music can be rather repetitive.

Conclusion

We have seen a number of low quality minecraft clones through the last six years, and more of them are sure to come. Let me reassure you: Portal Knights does not correspond to this description. With a good visual accomplishment - although generic - the title has also been carefully designed in terms of mechanics. However, the mix between sandbox and action RPG, while interesting, is made in such a way that it will not meet the expectations of everyone. Very simple on the whole, Portal Knights remains a good casual game, especially for friends in multiplayer.

In the game, players will be facing off Chaos Devil Dragon in VR. Based on the match 3 mobile version, you have to collect the drops in order to inflict damage to it. MU Legend Guide to Fast Leveling

$

MU Legend is the sequel to the highly successful MU Online, creating a rich world where players can take on new challenges, epic combat sequences, and can be played solo or with a group of friends. Like its predecessor, it offers an intriguing world where there is much to discover even after months of play. One big advantage that MU Legend offers is that the system runs on the Unreal Engine 3, which allows for stunning visuals to be displayed even on low-end devices.

However, as with similar online games the challenge is to level up your characters fast enough so that you do not incur unwanted setbacks that delay your discovery of this remarkable gaming world. The good can properly protect themselves through fast leveling. Here are a few tips to how you can level up your characters faster so you can enjoy more of the game.

Go Fast

It may seem rather obvious at first, but by rushing through the quests you can gain more experience and information from the game so that you can level up your characters faster. You can start by setting aside a few hours at first to get familiar with the basics of the game. Then, approach each quest with the strategy to complete it as quickly as you can.

Completing quests quickly lets you level up faster and it reveals more information about what lies in store for your characters so you can be even better prepared.

Set Rifts on Easy Level

There are good reasons to avoid rifts in the first place if you are just starting out. However, if you decide that accomplishing rifts in the game is what you want to do, then start on the easiest difficulty level. There is no advantage to setting the level at a higher difficulty if you are still focused on leveling up your character.

When you come to a rift, decide if the benefits outweigh the risks and if they do, set out to accomplish your goal on the easy levels so you can get past them. Once you have leveled up your characters, then you can focus on the higher difficulty levels.

Soul Points

By adding soul points to your EXP gains, you can boost your chances of getting to higher levels. This is especially true when acquiring a larva pet which you can use all the time to help you level more quickly. You can also level up the pet first and get a stronger one from the garden if you desire. Keep your sets in check and combine your monster/soul/EXP attributes for faster leveling.

Purchasing Level Packages

Another way to boost up the level of your characters is by purchasing packages that let you fast-track the process so that you have better, more experienced characters from the start. A level-up package basically lets you accomplish instantly what might take many hours, days, or even weeks to accomplish with your character.

Plus, you can now explore more of the MU Legend world with far greater confidence and get even more out of the experience.

Last year, Mr. Blue acquired Echo of Soul developer Nvius and became the new developer of the fantasy MMORPG. Aeria Games, the publisher who released the MMO in North America and Europe on May 28th, 2015, will continue to publish EOS in the west as they just signed new publishing contract with Mr. Blue.

South Korean media Inven reported that the new contract will allow Aeria Games to release a massive new expansion dubbed Phoenix in the west within the next 3 quaters. The word "phoenix" can be referred to "reborn" and Echo of Soul: Phoenix could be based on the relaunch version for South Korean market, which includes revamped raids and dungeons as well as other gameplay systems.

It's worth mentioning that in early April, Mr. Blue signed an agreement with publishers from Turkey and Middle East. More over, the Korean company also concluded an online joint venture with a local company from China.

Black Desert Online has been launched on Steam on May 25 for $5.99. Although BDO Steam version requires players to create a new game account to play, the NA and EU servers are crowed these days.

Black Desert Online has become rather popular with 12K copies Steam sales via Steamspy. 12K is definitely a huge number and Steam page is only accessible from NA and Europe, and especially locked to SA and Asia.

Besides, the Steam launch also boosts the perk players of the game, with all-time peak of 18,894 concurrent users. BDO never really hit a point where the game population has been low, but it has definitely been a noticeable increase with all of the new players joining.

Nudity Confirmed for Wild West Online

Wild West Online will have its first Alpha phase in mid-summer
Wild West Online developer 612 Games has updated the Q&A for the 4th time, and they revealed lots of new details this time, including mature content like nudity. "Our game is clearly targeted at mature audiences. So you may expect things that are clearly off limits to minors. And yes the game will have nudity," the dev said in response to the community's curiosity. However, it's not sure whether the developer means player nudity or just NPC character nudity. It will be too awesome for many players if the game allows their character to go nude.

Other interesting gameplay information revealed include:
  • Players will be able to set traps to catch small animals like rabbits. In addition there will have explosive traps of proximity.
  • The Wild West Online map will be a persistent open world map as Red Dead Redemption.
  • The ammunition will be limited and players will have to replenish it in NPC stores around cities and settlements. It sounds like a survival game like War Z.
  • There will be hunting and fishing but not at launch. Hunting and fishing are planned as part of the later expansions.
  • The first Alpha tests are planned for mid-summer. There will be two ways to participate in alpha tests - Guaranteed access with the pre-order of the game and getting a Key through different raffles. They plan to distribute at least 5,000 Keys for each test phase.
  • Most firearms can be purchased from the NPC in the cities. Some rare weapons can be obtained from the world events or as a reward for completing missions.
  • Wild West Online will have mini-map, but you will only be able to see the players that are in your group or clan.
  • The game will not have Mod support for security.

"We're on track for soft launch at the end of the year," Crowfall developer answered a player's question about release date on Twitter. The game was announced in 2015 as a sandbox title that mixed the concept of Game of Thrones and EVE Online. The core idea is your character will be persistent while the campaign world will live, develop, and die depending on players actions. The world will be wiped after winter and the winners will be announced.

Concept for character customizations

Recently the game raised additional funds and decided to lift the restriction on classes and races. The new Races & Classes system allows players to play any class under any race. Besides, the graphics will be overhauled and the lightings will be enhanced.

Crowfall development is being headed by industry veterans J. Todd Coleman (Shadowbane, Wizard101, Pirate101) and Gordon Walton (Ultima Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Star Wars: The Old Republic), and the game is currently in Pre-Alpha 5.0.

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game Review

$

Born as a game inside a game, Gwent had replaced the iconic dice poker in the third installment of the saga of The Witcher. Simple to understand, but endowed with enough depth to captivate the attention of players in the long run, the possibility of a full-fledged video game adaptation has most likely passed by the heads of many players when The Witcher 3 released. While Hearthstone has popularized the genre with a large audience, CD Projekt RED finally decided to join the competition with a stand-alone version of the Gwent, named Gwent : The Witcher Card Game. With the Beta of Gwent now live, I was finally able to give this title a try!

Gwent: The Witcher Card Game is not just a lazy adaptation of the card game from The Witcher 3 universe. Behind the veil of a seemingly secondary project, CD Projekt RED indicates that it has implemented the same quality requirement applied to their other projects, the very quality that has helped build their fame over the years. Competitive online mode, skirmishes, card collection, custom build decks, all the classics of the genre are here, accompanied by a big cherry on the cake, which takes the form of a single player campaign mode where each scenario intends to embark the players in an adventure of more than ten hours of play! Even better, completing these maps rewards players with the usual in-game currency and card packs (here known as kegs) that are essential for players to build advanced and more specialized decks.

The basic rules remain, for the most part, unchanged in Gwent. At the beginning of each turn, player are invited to redraw three cards from their starting hand if they do not suit them, or if they want an extra chance to draw a specific card. Once that is done, the players can use a single card from their hand during each of their turns, deciding to play a unit card in either of the three rows available (Close Combad, Long Range and Siege), or even playing a special (spell?) card. One thing that will confuse many fans of the genre is the fact that the units placed on the board will not be able to attack the enemies directly.

Certain units have effects that allow them to damage those of the opponent, or even increase the power of their own allies, but other than that they remain rather inactive on the board. Moreover, not counting special effects, players will only draw new cards at the start of a round rather than at the start of every turn. For those of you that are not familiar with Gwent, the main purpose of the game is not to deplete the health of your opponent, but rather to have the Power of the units they have on the board exceed that of the opponent. For example, if you end a round with three units that each have 9 power (for a total of 27 Power) and your opponent has two units of 9 power (for a total of 18), you win with a score of 27 to 18. However, Gwent is much deeper than this, and winning a round does not necessarily mean that you will win the remaining ones.

Indeed, to be victorious in a game of Gwent, players will have to win two out of the three rounds that comprises a match. And since the number of cards that each player has is really limited, it is not unusual for players to hold back during the first round so as to incite their opponent to use their strong cards. Of course, even if it is the first round, most will try to seize a chance for victory if they see one, and this is where the bluffing starts. Regardless, you will often find yourself forced to give a round to your opponent to conserve your good cards. This is what makes Gwent such an interesting game.

As you can see from the screenshot above, I went all out during the first round until my opponent no longer felt like keeping up. I then fatigued him of his remaining cards for the second round since he had no choice to earn a win, and easily earned myself the third round. Aside from that, the developers of Gwent remained on a rather traditional road for the game. While there were some tweaks, the remaining features are exactly what you’d expect from a game of the genre, be it acquiring kegs (card packs), deck building, cards salvaging and crafting, and so on.

From the first minutes of play, the effort made towards the immersion is notable. The visual style of the characters and environments echoes that of the saga of The Witcher, and it doesn’t take long to dive into the atmosphere of the game.

Conclusion

Everything in the Gwent of The Witcher predestined CD Projekt RED to lean one day or the other on a standalone outing of their deck of cards. With its rules, simple to understand, and its gameplay turned towards bluffing, the secondary hobby of the universe of the sorcerer becomes today a game in its own right. Gwent The Witcher Card Game is an excellent game title that has nothing to envy of its competitors.

With solid play skill, a player can face tough boss alone, by trigger "time freeze" through successfully evading boss attacks. When the boss monster is frozen, you and your teammates can attack with everything you have.
