Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker is Bandai Namco’s latest 3D arena fighting game, which is setting itself up to be a different type of "Naruto" game, and one of the ways it is doing that is by introducing a character creation system and role system.

In Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker, players will be able to change the hair style and the hair color of their characters. The character's skin tone can be changed and players may even be able to decide how tall their created ninja is as well.

Each custom character can be outfitted to perform as you please, in other words, you can pick from classes such as Tank, Support, Melee, and Ranged. Each type of class will be useful in specific situations and is suppose to bring a side of comp in order to make your custom character feel authentic. You can check out some screenshots below.

The western version of Black Desert is available in English, German and French currently. As the game's player number grows, there's the demand for additional language support, and the developer Pearl Abyss announced the game will be getting Spanish language support sometime in the future.

Now Kakao Games is hiring for additional employees for their localization team in order to speed up the process. If everything goes well, the Spanish language version will be ready around the end of the first half of 2018. As you may know, the South American version of Black Desert has been available since July 12, in both Spanish and Portuguese languages.

Destiny 2: From Beta to Launch, a Comprehensive Beginner's Guide

So now that both console and PC people have played the BETA for Destiny 2 and with it coming out in a day I think we should talk about it. Console players initially got to play first back near the end of July and PC players recently at the end of August so, did we learn anything from the BETA? Well...we learned at bit from it, so let’s take a quick gander at the BETA. This article may contain spoilers about the game if you choose to go in blind. You have been warned.

Let’s Jump In!

SUBCLASSES

Well first off let’s take a look a new sub classes we saw during BETA! The first one is the Titan’s Sentinel Subclass.

We get a new grenade type: The Magnetic Grenade; A grenade that sticks to people and explodes twice. The Void Wall Grenade which summons a fire wall and Suppressor Grenade that prevents people from using abilities for a bit return from the first Destiny. One the big things is the Class Ability which is called Barrier which summons a shield in front of you and has two forms: Towering Barricade which can reinforce your defensive post with cover by enemy fire. The other one is Rally Barricade which summons a barrier you can peek over and shoot enemies and instantly reloads your equipment. There also Passive Abilities that give class specific upgrades.

There is Code of the Aggressor which focuses on offense and Code of the Protector which focus on Defense. These can be customized as you want but can only choose one option at a time for both Passive Skill trees. There are also jump upgrades to help improving your jumping capabilities. However, the Sentinel's Ultimate Ability is a Captain America shield called Sentinel Shield that can guard, attack and even be thrown at enemies.

Something tells me this Subclass will be a very important one in the future of Destiny 2.

The Sentinel Subclass

The next new Subclass is the Warlock’s Dawnblade Subclass. The Solar Grenade which acts like flare that damages enemies, and Fusion Grenade which is essentially a sticky grenade return from Destiny 1 while the Firebolt Grenade which releases bolts of solar energy to nearby targets is new to Destiny 2. Along with it’s set of jumping upgrades the Dawnblade also has a set of Passive Abilities.

Attunement of Flame which focuses on upgrading your special abilities and Attunement of Sky which focuses on mid air combat. The Class Ability for the Dawnblade is called Rift and comes in two forms: Healing Rift which summons a bubble that continuously heals anyone in it and Empowering Rift which increases weapon damage inside the bubble.

The Dawnblade ultimate ability is called Daybreak and it turns you in a Valkyrie of absolute death. You fly around on fire wings and swing and slash your sword burning enemies to a crisp. At a distance you swing your sword to launch a fire projectile to make me pay!

This subclass will most likely be the subclass of choice in the long run for Warlocks as they can buff teammates and have enough offensive power to not be weak.

The Dawnblade Subclass

The final new Subclass and my personal favorite the Hunter’s Arc Strider. This Subclass according to Bungie is replacing the Bladedancer Subclass from the first game. The Arcbolt Grenade which chains bolts of lightning nearby enemies, the Flux Grenade which is a sticky grenade, and Skip Grenade which splits off into multiple projectiles and seeks enemies all return from Destiny 1. Along with it’s jumping upgrades, the Arc Strider all has Passive Abilities.

Way of the Warrior which focuses on melee combat and Way of the Wind which focuses on your abilities and speed. The Class ability for the Hunter is called Dodge which replaces Shade Step from the previous game. There are forms of it which are Marksman Dodge which automatically reloads weapons when dodging and Gambler’s Dodge which generates melee energy when dodging near enemies. Arc Strider's ultimate attack turns you into a ninja with the Arc Staff. You basically run around flipping like a madman as you kill people with an electric bow staff.

From what we saw in BETA it seems the Arc Staff is super powerful in both PVP and PVE but considering how Bladedancer was for the previous game we will have to wait and see what will become of it.

The Arc Strider Subclass

This is all well and good but what about the previous games Subclasses? Well no need to fear, for Gunslinger, Voidwalker, and Striker will be returning from the previous game, and have gotten some makeovers though they are mostly the same.

However, nobody knows for sure if the subclasses from the The Taken King expansion of the previous game would return and be in the game from the beginning. The Subclasses being: Stormcaller, Nightstalker, and Sunbreaker. There have been rumors that they will, but for now all we know is Gunslinger, Voidwalker, and Striker will be returning. Obviously each will have their own Passive Abilities and Jump Upgrades as well as their signature Supers: Golden Gun, Fist of Havoc (Also known as Fist of Panic), and Nova Bomb.

If you haven’t played the BETA then I’ll leave out how they changed the returning subclasses. You’ll just have to wait til the game is out for that.

Voidwalker, Gunslinger, and Striker.

WEAPON SYSTEM

With Subclasses and Abilities out of the way let’s talk about how the weapon system is set up. The weapons this time not set up Primary, Secondary, and Heavy like the last game. This time they are set up as Kinetic, Energy, and Power Weapons.

Kinetic weapons still feel like Primaries with Auto Rifles, Scout Rifles, Pulse Rifles, and Hand Cannons. Energy Weapons consist of any non power weapon with elemental damage so that would be Sidearms, Auto Rifles, Scout Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Hand Cannons and new weapon archetype, the Sub-Machine Gun! Yes Submachine Guns have finally been introduced to Destiny. Obviously up close they do good damage, but further down range not so much. Submachine Guns can also exist within the Kinetic Weapon category as well.

This opens up many interesting combinations for weapons. Power Weapons are….well exactly what you think they are, super strong weapons. These consist of: Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, Fusion Rifles, Light Machine Guns, Rocket Launchers and another new archetype: The Grenade Launcher. It seems they fused Secondaries and Heavies together in one category.

The best part of the new weapons system is that Exotic Weapons, some of the most powerful guns in all of Destiny no longer needs you to be max level to carry them! It’s great you can carry these around even at lower levels! Assuming you can upgrade them via infusion, as system where you take the level of one weapons and combine it to level up your current weapon, this may be a great change that I’m certainly excited for! Assume the same goes for the armor as well at least for now. We don’t know what Exotic Armor or Weapons are returning if at all so keep your eyes open.

Obviously each weapon and armor piece is different and has it’s own set of perks and stats you can upgrade to make your weapons and armor even better. Say hello to the new weapon system!

If you notice, the Kinetic is a Sidearm, the Hand Cannon is an Energy, and the ‘Nade Launcher is the Power.

LEVEL SYSTEM

Light Levels have returned in the form of Power Levels(Insert Dragon Ball Z reference here) and it is still determined by the level of the gear you have. Currently we don’t know the maximum Power Level in the game (OVER 9000!! JK) but we can only assume it won’t be 200. They fixed the leveling up system where you have to put on your best gear in order to get a higher level loot. This will help especially new players level up without a hassle.

Obviously in order to obtain these Power Levels you must be max experience level which currently is level 20. You obtain experience by defeating enemies in PVE or PVP. Once you’re high enough EXP level, Power Levels will take over as your actual level. Not much different from Destiny 1. Speaking of PVP….

The Light Level During BETA.

CRUCIBLE

Okay so overhauled weapon system and subclasses are cool but what about the changes to Crucible? Crucible has always been slightly controversial so take a look at it. Let’s take a look at the obvious: Instead of the normal 6v6 battles in Crucible it has been reduced to 4v4, reminiscent to Bungie’s previous game, Halo. These new team sizes will ultimately determine how the new maps will be laid out and will affect how people play.

Old game types like Control will return alongside new game types like Countdown which was introduced in the BETA. Countdown the only new game type we know about is an attack/defend game mode where one team tries to plant a bomb while the other team tries to stop them. Another new change for Crucible is power weapon ammo spawn, which spawns near each team’s spawn side. Matches being shorter is also a plus.

Some of the other minor changes include each team controlling one flag already off the bat when the game begins. Which means it will be a mad rush for the one in the middle of the map. And a big plus, you no longer need multiple teammates to speed up flag capture time and you don’t need to uncap the flag first. THIS IS A GODSEND, it would always take forever to cap a flag in Destiny 1. All these changes to Crucible will definitely help in the long run, even if they are minor.

Our new 4 man team.

Two things that need a quick mention, one of them being the return of Trials of Osiris. This is a competitive game mode within the Crucible similar to Elimination. Trials of Osiris is now being called Trials of The Nine. It will be released probably a couple of weeks after the launch of Destiny 2. This is very interesting lore wise that may be explained in game at some point, for The Nine are essentially the Illuminati of the Destiny mythos, so who knows why the Nine are setting of Trials. This may be 4v4 just like the other game modes of Destiny and will give Trials specific loot after every match. Unlike other game modes in PVP it takes light/power levels into account which it shares with Iron Banner.

The second and final competitive game mode is called Iron Banner (Iron Banana to veteran players). Iron Banana is essentially a hardcore PVP mode which unlike other PVP game types takes light/power levels into account. The higher the light level the more powerful you are. Iron Banner arrives once a month and you can bet there are some powerful Guardians. (You can call it Destiny’s Period because it...is difficult to deal with to say the least). Each time it appears the game mode is different and gives you Iron Banner specific loot at the vendor at the end of the match. We don’t know changes have been made to these two game modes, we can only speculate until the game comes out.

A Hunter in Iron Banner Gear and...a katana?!

PVE

What about PVE? Well PVE for the most part hasn’t changed too drastically. There a few differences: Like missions are now more open to exploration, specifically in the patrols. In the strike we played during the BETA, the map was HUGE and allowed room for a lot of exploration. It even had places that perhaps we might go to in the campaign. (Remember the tower with door that looked like the entrance to the Vault of Glass? Mysterious…..). We only had a taste of the campaign so who knows if we’ll have that level of exploration in our campaign. Though who knows we might run into a Lost Sector or 2.

A Lost Sector are these areas that don’t show up on the map and are hand crafted. Think of them as dungeons in a way. These Lost Sectors give you rare loot that normally can’t be found in other parts of the game and you need to defeat a boss to get this loot. This will scale in difficulty. You might find them in areas you didn’t expect. You can probably expect to find these in Patrol which is amazing for the end game!

Lost Sector Part of the Trailers

We should quickly mention Patrols in Destiny 2. Patrols for new time players are essentially open area exploration missions that you can do side quests in. Patrol works a little differently than in Destiny 1. In Destiny 1 you were kinda going along not knowing where you were or were going, but now there will be an in game map showing you the different areas in Patrol as well as ongoing Public Events, which will give you loot when completed. This map will also indicate how much time is left within the Public Event. There will also be new heroic objectives with Public Events that may earn you even better loot. As you explore the area of patrol new locations on the map will be unlocked which promotes exploration. As you can unlock these new areas you can actually choose to land in them or not which eliminates the need to go to a place everytime you land. Now you can land in that place! And also, you no longer have to go to orbit to travel! You can just go into your directory and go there, it’s simple easy and saves a ton of time! Besides Lost Sectors which we mentioned earlier there is something just as cool called Adventures!

The Patrol Map

Adventure’s are essentially side missions that have been given by NPC’s that can be done in Patrol. Each of these Adventures have their own individual mechanics specifically tailored to them and have individual pieces of loot made for that Adventure that you can use on your Guardian! These Adventures could scale in difficulty depending on what level we grab them and could be a great end game activity.

Strikes (as previously mentioned) are returning in Destiny 2, the strike in the BETA being a prime example. They will be slightly longer than they were in the previous game. Obviously they are more open and slightly more fair than they were as the ADDS (The little foot soldiers) are just there to distract you from the main boss and are easy to take down. There will most likely be new strikes that will lead us to different places of the different worlds so we’ll just have to wait and see.

The new strike from the BETA.

From what we saw of the Campaign, it was EPIC. The fighting took place everywhere in the Tower and on the Cabal ship! From what Bungie has said, it will be a pretty sizeable campaign with varying missions (Hopefully a step up from the repetitiveness of the first game’s base campaign). Let’s just hope they can keep up the epicness throughout the Campaign and give us a compelling story.

The last thing that NEEDS a mention and the thing we know the least about besides the Campaign is RAIDS! Raids will once again consist of a team of 6 Guardians. From what we’ve seen in the trailers, it seems the first raid might take place in the new area of Destiny 2, The European Dead Zone, specifically the Dark Forest part of it. It even has the name: The Leviathan Raid. From what a recent leak told us there will be about 8 POSSIBLE BOSSES IN THE RAID. That is insane!! Another part for a possible other raid shows six Guardians running through a Cabal like structure. So will there be two raids on launch? Or are we being teleported to this ship? Maybe the Cabal Super Ship eating the planet from the concept art? We won’t know until the raid comes out.

What the absolute hell is this? The Cabal Super Ship? Like seriously what the hell?

SOCIAL SPACE

The new social space within Destiny 2 is called The Farm which is in the European Dead Zone of Earth. After the fall of The Last City we happen to go to a new social space called The Farm. Here unlike the previous games, we can interact with the other NPC’s who some will give us Adventures to go on. The Farm was open for only about an hour during the BETA and unfortunately I missed it. Thankfully some friends told me and showed me pictures of The Farm. It’s a pretty big social space with plenty of room for activities like good old Destiny dance parties. And there is a vehicle apparently on The Farm we can ride on. Sounds cool and I can’t wait to see it for myself tomorrow!

The Farm in Destiny 2!

STORY

The Story so far is that the Red Legion, as special faction within the Cabal led by Gaul has come to Earth in search of The Traveler (That big white ball of uselessness in the Tower) and attacks the last city.

Obviously from the Campaign mission in the BETA, we lose. And now we have to travel around picking up the pieces by reuniting the Vanguard made up of Ikora Rey (The Warlock), Commander Zavala (The Titan) and my personal favorite Cayde-6 (The Hunter) and getting your powers back. Along the way we meet people new and old who will help us fight the Cabal and become great allies such as Lord Shaxx (A Titan). It seems simple enough but there is a bit of a problem with it.

While the story of Destiny 2 comes after the Rise of Iron DLC from the previous game, certain plot points are dropped. Plot points such as The Stranger, an Exo (Robot) who helped us during the previous game’s base campaign. She just disappears, which is sad because she was the most interesting character. Not only that but Lord Saladin who was a big part of the Rise of Iron storyline seems to be apparently absent from all the trailers. Where is he? Is he still in the Iron Temple? That’s one of the things that bugs me.

The final plot point that seems to be missing from the trailers is the disappearance of the Awoken Queen Mara Sov and her brother. In The Taken King storyline, the Awoken fought The Taken and during the battle, the Queen and her brother supposedly die. It is hinted at that they survived the battle with The Taken ship The Dreadnought. I don’t about you but I am genuinely curious as to their fates. Maybe it’ll come in during DLC. Speaking of which.

Cabal Attack on The Last City

DLC

Unfortunately Activision has struck again with their DLC. With the season pass we get the first expansion which involves Osiris, a Warlock who was banished from The Last City and started The Trials of Osiris and the second expansion which involves the A.I. Warmind Rasputin. The first expansion will be known as The Curse of Osiris according to Bungie. Nothing else is known as of yet, except the fact is we have to save Osiris and the first expansion will be out in December. Keep your ear close to the ground for after Destiny 2 launches, we can expect to hear more on the first DLC.

The First Two DLC’s

THE PROBLEM

The Problem with Destiny 2 is that the BETA according to Bungie was an old build of the game.Since then, they have tweaked and changed the game. It’s hard to gauge how good a game is going to be when the devs say that the game has changed a lot since BETA. It happened with Destiny 1 (and I have been a player since the Destiny 1 BETA!) and it seems it happened again. But is this for the better?

So in conclusion it’s going to be hard to see how Destiny 2 is going to play out. We have all this cool new stuff and it sounds exciting! But since the game has changed since BETA it is going be hard to see whether the game will be good or bad. But what do you think? Are you excited for the all the new changes as a veteran? Or are you a new player and are excited to jump into the world for the first time. Leave your comments below and tell me what you think!

Summer Lesson Reveals Third Character Chisato Shinjo, a Rich Family's Girl

Bandai Namco has just teased the third character for its VR dating sim game Summer Lesson on Weekly Famitsu magazine. The new character DLC is called Chisato Shinjo – Seven Days of Etude, which will be available for purchase in Japan on October 12. In addition, it will be also shown at Bandai Namco’s booth at Tokyo Game Show 2017 on September 21-24.

Chisato is the only daughter of a wealthy family. Although she is smart and can learn things, she has a rather selfish and nihilistic personality. It is also implied that Chisato rarely, if ever, goes outside, so she hires the player as her private teacher to teach her about common practices and trends in the outside society.

Destiny 2 Guide: The Best Guns to Use in PvP According to Top Streamer

$
0
0
Based on the Destiny 2 open beta, renowned streamer of Destiny series Mtashed (expert of PvP) has recommended a list of guns to use in PvP. Take a look and see what they are.

Note:
1. The recommendations are based on Destiny 2 beta
2. The images the gun are just to show you how the weapons look like and the perks in the images are not relevant

Better Devils - Hand cannon

With each hit, there will be a small explosion that causes area damage. 2 customization options for the clip: increases capacity but decreases reload speed, or increases reload speed but discard remaining bullets in the clip — it all depends on individual preference and play style. Better Devils may not be the best hand cannon but it's a very good one in all aspects.

Nergal PR4 - Pulse rifle

This pulse rifle provides a perk allows you to fire full auto, which may not be a necessary thing for some players in PvP. The other perk that significantly increases the stability when firing but slightly decreases the range is a better option for PvP. There are 2 scope perks and they all looks good.

Copperhead-4SN - Sniper rifle

This sniper rifle deals high damage but it's difficult to master. Your crosshair will deviate a lot when you get shot and that means you have to pick your spot very carefully and handle the timing carefully as well.

Main Ingredient - Fusion rifle

One of the best guns in beta. With it you have a chance to one-shot-kill an enemy using ultra.

Nightshade - Pulse rifle
Reload to increase damage after a kill is a good ability, while the perk increases stability, reload speed and clip capacity is also good choice for most players. Besides, there's a scope perk that increases range and move speed.

Minuet-42 - Hand cannon
The hand cannon can improve the accuracy and range on the opening shot and this will trigger each time you fire on a new target. There are 2 clip perks that can increase reload speed and you can choose one according to your play style.

Sweet Business - Auto rifle
It's recommended that you try to predict enemy location with radar. The gun's firing speed increases over firing, so fire behind the cover and don't go out until you reach the max firing speed. You may become underdog with this gun if you and your enemy fire at the same time. In simple words, the gun is not for all combat situation.

Retrofuturist - Shotgun
It's good in all aspects and the only problem is can you get close to the enemy and kill him with a shot. You can choose the perk that reduces bullet spread in order to deal more damage to the enemy.

Mtashed though sidearms and SMGs weren't good enough to use for PvP in most case. Scout rifles were also not recommended.

Destiny 2 PvE Guides and Tips: How to Level up and Increase Power

$
0
0

PC players can finally play Destiny as Bungie's new multiplayer FPS Destiny 2 will be released in October, while console players will be able to play the game on September 6. If you didn't play the first Destiny, here are some tips and guides for PvE.

What is level and power
One of the first things to notice when you start in the main story during your progression, is 2 stats: character level and character power. Level determines how many skills and abilities you can use and the max level is 20. You can level up by playing almost everything from story to PvP to patrol events. Power represents how strong you are, and it's determined by the weapon and armors you equip. Completing the main story is just a new beginning in Destiny 2, as you will be playing a lot of end-game contents such as Nightfall, Trial, and Raid. You can to reach certain power to join and successfully complete them.

Generally it's easier to increase your level to 20 through story missions and adventures (or side quests). For power increase, it's about farming.

What if you have a favorite gun but its power isn't good enough?
No worries. You can increase your favorite gun's power through a system called infuse. That allows you to "transfer" the power level of another gun to your favorite gun.

How to increase power to 260 and 300?
260 is the first soft power cap and it can be reached by farming engrams in activities (source: VG247):

  • Go shopping at region vendors to raise your Power
  • Max out each region vendor
  • Raid Lost Sector chests
  • Complete Challenges
  • Complete Strikes
  • Check out every drop

The next goal is reaching 300 power and to do that you need to play weekly milestones (Flashpoint, Call of Arms, and Nightfall) and raids.

What is Legendary Shard
It's a kind of resource you can use to purchase exotic weapons and armor from Xur, the special vendor who only appears at the weekends, in one specific location in the game.

Other tips:
  • Don't upgrade your gun and armor before reaching level 20, because you can easily find a better gun and armor during your progression and you don't want to waste your resources on something you won't use for a long time.
  • Only play weekly milestones when you hit the 260 soft power cap.
  • You can create and switch between 3 characters in your account so you can play 3 weekly milestones. By doing so, your chance to get higher power equipment will increase.

Most F2P MMOs today are from Korea and that's fine. Many of them don't have innovative gameplay, that's OK. Each F2P MMO has its small charms that attract players to take a look, and that's why many old MMOs shut down today, but other F2P MMOs still come out. What are the MMOs that are worth playing in September 2017? Take a look.
The global version finally launches on September 6. While this is not a new game, it's very old school game in fact, and it's a little bit better than the first Lineage MMO in terms of graphics. The launch of Record of Lodoss War Online includes a new Shaman character and some new summer outfits. You can check out the official site for more information.

WildStar's anticipated expansion Homecoming releases on September 6 and it's expected to change and revive the game. The expansion is all about social and community, as you can build with your friends, socialize with your neighbors, and play many house-centric contents including a Residential Renovation event that takes place one week every month. Watch the trailer below to see what you can do with the new house and community features.

There are other features commonly seemed in Korean MMOs such as transformation system, wing system, and guild vs. guild system.
NosTale is an anime MMORPG from South Korean developer Enwell Co. If you don't know the game was first released in KR 10 years ago and it's going to be re-launched in the west via Steam in September 2017. You can play one of the 3 classes including Swordsman, Archer or Mage and advance to an array of possible specializations, each of which is characterized by a unique combination of equipment and skills. Combat is not the style of free aiming but it still looks challenging and fun. Besides, you will be able to collect a lot of cute pets as well as obtain various costumes in the game.

Em-8ER: Is Firefall Spiritual Successor + Pacific Rim Style MMO Worth Our Hype?

$
0
0
Em-8ER (pronounced Ember) is the next MMO shooter project from Mark Kern, the designer of StarCraft, Diablo 2, and World of Warcraft. Mark's last project Firefall was a failure but he didn't give up making open world MMO shooter, therefore, we have Em-8ER, a human versus alien shooter with fancy suits.

This time, Em-8ER is more ambitious than Firefall, as it allows you to play a massive wargame involves base building and defending. What's more, it features Pacific Rim elements and pits players fight against Kaiju, the huge alien creatures commanded by Tsi-Hu.

What is Em-8ER exactly

MASSIVE WARGAME - Em-8ER pits the players against a AI controlled alien army in a continuous, 24/7 battle for control of an entire world. Players fight to terraform habitable zones on the planet by building terraforming factories, defensive bases and refineries to process ore mined from the planet. The Tsi-hu aliens oppose the humans by invading zones and attempting to destroy what the players have built.

CRAFT EVERYTHING - Nearly everything in Em-8ER is built or crafted by players, using the resources and alien artifacts mined from Em-8ER. Players use massive mining mechs called THMPRs ("thumpers") to drill into the planet and extract ore which they refine into usable elements. Players build weapons, abilities, spawn bases, defenses, and contribute to world event goals with these resources.

SKILL MATTERS - Em-8ER is a shooter where skill matters. Aim and ability reward skilled players and enhance their powerful gear. Progression of weapons and abilities follows a shallow power curve, and are meant to compliment a player's preference of play-style rather than simply providing massive increases in damage.

Like Firefall, jetpacks, gliding and guns are still the core combat features. In Em-8ER, the Kaiju will be a lot larger than you and the jetpacks become very important and can bring a lot of possibilities. You can to jet up to fight the monsters face to face, or explore their vulnerable areas by gliding. The suit that called Omniframes evolve as well compared with those in Firefall, and now your suit can be equipped with a variety of handheld weapons, shoulder mounted weapons, and integrated abilities to give them unique capabilities.

What's more you can customize your Omniframe's appearance extensively. "Purchase visual upgrades to replace head, wings, jets, shoulder, lower arms and thigh plates. Build what you want, collect as many as you like."

Em-8ER is also the name of the planet the game takes place on. The concept of Thumper in Firefall returns in Em-8ER and has a new name THMPR. It works like Thumper which mines resources in the planet for players. The differences are there are more you can do with THMPR, for it can terraform every inch of land on the planet of Em-8ER. You will need to fight to protect THMPR and escort it back to base. Last but not least, you can customize your THMPR with customs skins and decals.

So Em-8ER is a bigger project than Firefall. By July 2017 Em-8ER has been 570% funded via multiple crowdfunding channels. And backers have been able to play a very early demo including some very basic functions (like the image below). Do you think the game is worth some hype or do you think whether it has a future or not?

Mirage: Arcane Warfare is Going Free For a Day Due to Poor Launch Sales

Developed by Torn Banner Studios, the creator of Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, Mirage: Arcane Warfare is a skill-based multiplayer FPS that lets you tear your enemies limb from limb with destructive magic and melee combat. However maybe due to the existence of Overwatch or Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, the sales of Mirage: Arcane Warfare is very limited and sometimes 24-hour peak is less than 10.

Mirage: Arcane Warfare Steam Page

Although we love Mirage: Arcane Warfare, the studio has still made a tough decision: If you grab Mirage on Steam during the 24-hour free window, you can keep it forever. After the promotion, the price will permanently drop to $10.

“Mirage launch sales were poor. That sucked, and we know it. Our company's doing fine, and we'll be able to continue to make awesome games in the future. More than anything, we're disappointed for the players who stuck by us and did buy Mirage - but who have struggled to find people to play against. We just want people to play the game we spent years making. We have faith that Mirage can find a larger audience still, so we’re being aggressive about getting it into people’s hands.”

Netmarble has announced the launch details for TERA M today. According to the Korean mobile game developer and publisher, the next-generation mobile action game will be first released in Korea in November 2017 and then in global market in 2018. Besides, the first actual gameplay trailer is released and it looks almost the same to the PC version.

TERA M will be heavily based on tank-DPS-healer party setup

The biggest difference between the mobile and PC version is class system. In TERA M, character classes are fixed and there is no potion you can use in combat. That means in most cases you will need tank, DPS and healer in your party. That's an interesting concept, because on one hand TERA M is an action-based MMO and on the other hand it heavily relies on "holy trinity". What do you think?

Barrel Blast

Barrel Blast is a frenetic one-button, endless vertical scrolling game for Android and iOS, and has all the makings of an addictive mobile game. Barrel Blast takes the formula of those barrel shooting sections in Donkey Kong games and runs with it while adding a couple of its own twists along the way and wrapping the package in charming art design.

Barrel Blast is really easy to play. It's all about the right timing. Just tap somewhere on the screen to shoot Juicy Jelly from barrel to barrel, but make sure, it does not hit any obstacles in between. Catch as many fruits as possible to get more hearts and unlock tasty fruits.

Dragonbolt Vanguard

Dragonbolt Vanguard is a pixel system hero collecting RPG which allows you to recruit more than 100 unique units and collect powerful weapons to explore an extensive campaign with multiple challenge levels.

As an airship captain, your objective in Dragonbolt is to travel monster-ravaged lands and defeat roaming threats at the behest of your king. Such a task is done through tactical encounters, where combat and skills are manipulated by your party's position on a battle grid. The combat is automated, but you can place units in lanes for maximum effect.

ATOMINE

Atomine is a twin stick procedural shooter rogue-like set in a virtual world with minimalist design, where the player recounts on the screen the real events of STUXNET, the first weapon ever created in the form of computer virus.

Atomine's gameplay is very simple, players have to clear the level area from all the enemies in order to get through a portal and proceed to the next new level. Atomine will drop all kinds of items like XP and weapon modules for every enemy you killed. Those modules are used to modify your weapons and customize your virus with over 100 modules.

Developed by KEMCO, Fernz Gate is a fantasy RPG where our main character Alex, an ordinary high schooler living an ordinary life, learns he has somehow ended up in Fernland, the world where peace and order have been replaced by conflict and destruction, and he has to fight to defend himself from monsters, the ever-ominous threat of the Overlord.

There are lots of characters in Fernz Gate waiting for you to collect, and you can also team up with different characters and become a force to be reckoned with in battle using skills to decimate enemy parameters, throw extra attacks into the mix, and harness their support in numerous ways.

Developed by Japanese gaming veteran Aiming, CARAVAN STORIES is a cross-platform MMORPG for PC, iOS and Android. The developer has recently held a beta test event in Japan and famous gaming website 4gamer posted its hands-on experience about this game. Let’s check it out.

Character Customization

After selecting the tribe and gender, players will be able to select the hair style, hair color, eye color, and facial expressions.

Open World Quest System

CARAVAN STORIES features an open world quest system, allowing players to experience the story by main quest and also farm material by AUTO battle. When you cooperate with other players, monster’s stamina will be changed by the number of players in the area.

Character System
The characters can be leveled up and strengthened by the XP and items gained during combat, and if the level reaches MAX, players can use material and gold to evolve them.

There are eight types of character you can choose from: Attacker, Shooter, Tank, Trickster, Buffers, Healer, Magician, and Knight.

Caravan System

The Caravan is your best pal, since it has the equipment that supports you in various scenes such as the battles, and players need to enhance the caravan to get more functions.

In combat, you will be able to strengthen your attack and defensive abilities with guns, armor, and other pieces. If the caravan is destroyed, you will be defeated in the battle, so be careful not to run too far away from your caravan.

PVP

As a MMORPG, there is also PVP content in game. It’s a Hearthstone-like card game in which player can deploy various cards and battle against opponents in a 1vs1 board.

Vindictus Eternal Has Open World PvE and PvP, But Do We Want It in the West?

Licensed by Nexon, Vindictus Eternal is a mobile action MMO developed by Chinese company TianCity and it's currently available in Chinese market only. The mobile version is built by Unity 3D engine and brings drastic change to the series by offering an open world along with several major twists in the combat system.

If you play Vindictus on PC, you would just travel between town and dungeon as the PC version doesn't have an open world. Vindictus Eternal is a different thing, the game has open areas where you can explore, complete quests, fight open world bosses and other players, etc. Dungeons are still there in the mobile version but become part of the main story (in the PC version, dungeons are the core content).

Do we want Vindictus Eternal to release in the west in the future? I think fans of Vindictus won't like the mobile game, not because of the addition of open world but the changes in the combat system. Vindictus Eternal doesn't have normal attack and smash attack that define the PC version, there are just attacks in the mobile version. What's more, the SP system is removed in the mobile version, making the combat more generic.

However, those who expect a Vindictus game with more group content and sexy costumes may like Vindictus Eternal. So what's your opinion, do you want the game to release in the west?

Developed by Snail Games, Dark and Light: Tales of Gaia is a highly-anticipated MMORPG for mobile. Recently the company has held a 3-day beta test event in China and we finally had a chance to put our hands on this game.

Character Customization

In Dark and Light: Tales of Gaia, players are able to choose from four distinctive races namely Human, Dwarf, Elf and Barbarian, however each race doesn’t have a fixed role in game since players can switch character's role and play style directly. Second and third character roles will be available at level 25 and level 70.

Gameplay and Quest System

Similar to other mobile MMO, Dark and Light: Tales of Gaia features action skill based action gameplay and story-driven main quest system. Even you don't know any Chinese, you can still play this game easily. After you finish the tutorial, you will unlock various system such as enhance, enchanting, mounts, pvp, guild and more.

Mounts

In Dark and Light: Tales of Gaia, players can raise and evolve their mounts to become the best companions in the world. The war horse mount can be evolved 3 times and finally becomes a flying unicorn mount, and the flying speed will also increase. Since the map of the game is quite large, evolving mount is the most necessary thing to do in Dark and Light mobile.
