Animal Crossing Pocket

Developed by Nintendo, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp looks much like other games in the Animal Crossing series, which traditionally see your character moving to a new location, interacting with the animal inhabitants, and customizing your home. This time is camping theme, where you're building up a campsite, making it seem a little smaller scale than the cities and towns in the full console releases.

The good thing is this is not a single player game, and you can meet with your friends in game and trade items with them. Animal Crossing Pocket currently soft-launched in Australia,  and the full release will arrive in later November.

Sheltered

You may have survived(or probably perished) on Sheltered PC and console version, but now you can play this award-winning game on your mobile devices. Sheltered is a post-apocalypse game which you have to try your best to survive after nuclear holocaust.

Sheltered features deep crafting system and dynamic encounter system, so you must gather as many supplies as possible en-route to the concrete underground shelter that will soon become your family home for the foreseeable future.

The Sun: Origin is a post-apocalyptic FPS game which was developed by a 3 people team in 3 years. It was set in this world that a warrior known only as Raven would emerge. A warrior that would save his people by bending the wasteland to his will.

In this game, you not only have to manage scarce resources such as ammunition, food and medical supplies,  but also brave the dangers of the wasteland by facing off against humans, rabid hounds, ghouls and raiders.

Blocky Farm

Following the success of Stardew Valley, more and more farm management game emerge and Blocky Farm is one of them. It's free to play voxel-based farm management game in which you can build and customize your farm, make friends with the locals, take care of cute pets and animals.

Wanna Play a Game? Halloween Possesses World of Tanks

This Halloween, stranger things invade World of Tanks battlefields on PC and console. From October 27, the ghoulish tank Leviathan from the underworld attempts to besiege the world of the living in World of Tanks on PC, and monsters mash as tanks rise from their grave in World of Tanks Console.

Leviathan, ruler of the armored afterlife, has grown weary of his underworld dwelling and seeks to conquer the world of the living to expand its evil empire. Standing in its way are two multi-turreted event tanks: devastating long-range sniper Franken and thick-skinned Stein that can soak up damage and rush into the melee.

Players will find both these tanks in their Garage from October 27 19:00 Amsterdam time. After picking which one to play, you can face Leviathan's forces in a PvE mode where they must stop its ingenious minions and take out the monster once and for all. If you’d rather combat real enemies, there’s a 15-vs-15 PvP mode, too.

...

World of Tanks Console dredges terror from the other side in Monsters Awakened, which runs from October 27 through November 1. The much-loved Monster Tank lineup from previous events has been resurrected with two new spine-tingling additions: the Höllenhund leKpz M 41 90 mm and Dragon Type 62.

In Monsters Awakened, tankers brave the ghastly fields of Grim Graveyard, where phantom trains, Kraken tentacles and a mysterious green ooze haunt the battlefield. If players out there previously possessed the monster tanks they’ll discover the awakened versions, boasting menacing new forms with powerful stats and abilities, upon logging in.

But players don’t have to worry if they do not possess a monster tank, because they receive the equally chilling Spectre to take on the monster tank forces. By surviving the battle in the Spectre tank, the Spectre medal will be awarded.

Monsters Awakened runs from 27 OCT until 2 NOV.

World’s Leading Mobile Esport Continues to Push Mobile Platforms to the Max with Addition of 5v5 Map
Vainglory, the world’s leading mobile esport, today opened pre-registration for its upcoming 5v5 mode. Players can now pre-register at 5v5.vainglorygame.com for exclusive rewards and a chance to enter the 5V5 Early Access.

Vainglory’s 3v3 MOBA is already the most competitive in the world with its precision controls, console-grade graphics and gameplay engine and focus on strategic and tactical depth.

The upcoming Vainglory 5v5 map, built from the ground up by former competitive players and designers from leading PC MOBAs, will offer the definitive 5v5 MOBA experience on mobile. Vainglory’s 5v5 is designed to reward mechanical skill and meaningful decisions around team compositions, objectives and rotational strategies — all while ensuring the most precise controls and the most beautiful graphics optimized across the widest range of devices.

“When we started Super Evil Megacorp, we set out to challenge the notion that mobile-first gamers were somehow inferior to gamers on other platforms,” said Super Evil Megacorp CEO Kristian Segerstrale. “We believed that every phone was a portable next-gen console, and that every mobile player deserved games just as core, strategic and performant as players on PC. Over the past three years, millions of players across the globe rallied to our cause, embracing real-time multiplayer gaming on touchscreens, shifting the market in our direction.

“Fueled by that momentum, our mission now is creating a 5v5 MOBA that is deeply strategic and tactical, with console-grade performance, based on deep, original fantasy and personality-rich storytelling.”
Vainglory 5v5’s closed beta is conducting around-the-clock playtests with players from multiple regions and all skill tiers.

“We have been working closely with our closed beta community to get our 5v5 exactly right, and we will show it off to everyone at our upcoming World Championship in Singapore in December,” said Segerstrale. “We will be growing the early-access community as we move toward launch. If you want to be part of the journey putting final touches on 5v5, be sure to pre-register!”

The Vainglory8 Autumn competitive season will determine which teams fill the remaining open spots and represent their regions at the Vainglory 2017 World Championship at Singapore’s Kallang Theatre from December 14-17. Already-qualified teams include defending World Champion Rox Armada (Korea) and two-time Unified Champion Cloud9 (North America). During the event, which will determine the best Vainglory team in the world, Vainglory’s 5v5 mode will be unveiled to a global audience of millions who tune in to the competition’s streams and VODs.

Viewers can watch all of the Vainglory esports action streamed live on the officialVainglory Twitch, Facebook and YouTube channels.

Raiders Of The Broken Planet New Economy Update

MercurySteam’s aim is for Raiders of the Broken Planet to evolve and develop in concert with its audience as a reflection of player feedback. With this in mind, the first major update to the game will dramatically change the way a large portion of players can experience this 4 vs 1 counter-operative third person shooter.

So far Raiders of the Broken Planet has hosted over half a million players. The game consists of a free Prologue and 4 adventure driven campaigns, each priced at €/£/$9.99. Previously, the free Prologue players were not able to access the full economy of the game, while those that purchased the Founders Pack or the Alien Myths campaign were. This is changing. In the latest patch, MercurySteam is opening the in-game economy to all.

Players who own or download the free Prologue, will now be able to use Gold, Faction Points and Character Points to unlock new characters, build weapons from blueprints found on the battlefield and unveil pieces of lore from the world of Raiders of the Broken Planet, now having full access to all the game’s features within the Prologue.

The Inside Raiders #01 Economy Update video for a full breakdown of the changes, provided by Raiders of the Broken Planet Community Manager, Karen Hernàndez:

Where Mikah, Dr. Kuzmann and Ginebra were previously reserved for Alien Mythsplayers, now anyone will be able to unlock these characters by investing the Gold they have earned during their matches. Players who go on to purchase Alien Myths, will be able to experience the first epic story of season one, and add the lethal sniper Shae - the campaign’s exclusive character - to their ranks.

Alien Myths is told across four adrenaline-fueled missions featuring intense action, unforgettable characters and sumptuous visuals - all delivered at a silky-smooth framerate. MercurySteam is committed to delivering a game that offers great gameplay, story, visuals, and all of it for just €/£/$9.99 per campaign, in addition to the free Prologue.

This is the first of many changes MercurySteam will be making in the next weeks and months to ensure that Raiders of the Broken Planet players have more flexibility and options to enjoy the game’s content.

World of Warcraft: Patch 7.3.2 New Environment Assets

$
0
0
In World of WarcraftPatch 7.3.2, Blizzard added extra environment files, used as assets for the sky/stars. While these look similar to those used in the Star Augur Etraeus fight, we have confirmed these are new to 7.3.2.

You can check out the content below with us.

Warning: expansion speculation and 7.3.2 spoilers in post.

The new void-themed files are used as assets for the sky/stars:
Environments\Stars\7XP_Astromancer_OldGodNoise03_Mask.blp
Environments\Stars\7XP_Astromancer_OldGodPlanet_Front01.blp
Environments\Stars\7XP_Astromancer_OldGodPlanet_Nether02.blp
Environments\Stars\7XP_Astromancer_PlanetAlpha_Dark02.blp
Environments\Stars\7XP_Astromancer_Planet_CutOut02.blp

We are speculating that these could be related to the Wound in the World, in which Sargeras throws his sword into Silithus, potentially awakening the Old Gods. Perhaps there is a larger skybox that requires more corrupted planets--like an alternate vision of what could be if the Old Gods took over. Again, this is just speculation on our end, as with any speculation it's unofficial and could lead to nothing.

We first saw planets consumed by the Fel and Void during the Star Augur Nighthold fight. In this encounter, he showed us several different visions of the sky referencing different threats facing planets, which parallels he progression of Azeroth:
  • Phase 1 "Absolute Zero" has a Frost theme, like Wrath of the Lich King
  • Phase 2 "A Shattered Void" has a Fel theme, like the Burning Legion and Argus
  • Phase 3 "Inevitable Fate" has a Void theme, showing a planet encased in tentacles.

When Phase 3 starts, he says:
Star Augur Etraeus yells: Is that not enough? Must I show you the true horror of our reality?
Star Augur Etraeus yells: Very well... witness what I have seen, and TREMBLE!
Star Augur Etraeus yells: These are the beings who will devour the future you so futilely fight to protect!
Star Augur Etraeus yells: Avatars of non-existence... knowing nothing but hunger.

Based on these visions, it looks like Phase 1 is the past, Phase 2 is Legion, and Phase 3 is a Void/Old God future. Perhaps we'll return from defeating the Burning Legion only to see the Old Gods have been at work in Azeroth.

Thanks for your reading.

Microsoft announced that Skyforge, a new free-to-play action mmorpg would be coming to the Xbox One this November. This launch comes just in time for the new Xbox One X release on November 7, which will have updated graphics, power, memory and more in comparison to older Xbox One models.

Skyforge takes place on the planet Aelion which is constantly plagued by invasions by surrounding planets. The god Aeli protected Aelion and its inhabitants, but vanished leaving his power and knowledge behind for chosen warriors to use. These warriors must continue to protect Aelion in Aeli’s absence, fighting off invaders to maintain peace.

Players will take on the role of a chosen warrior, and have a choice between 15 unlockable classes to master on their journey. Each class has their own unique moves, abilities, armor sets and more, and as players progress, additional content will be unlocked for each class such as ultimate abilities and a ‘Divine Form’ as a god. No matter the class, there will be multiple modes to choose from when deciding the best path for the game; classic PvE and PvP modes can be used “in over 100 locations,” and the game has a Campaign Mode which will likely focus on the primary storyline.

The Skyforge Xbox One announcement trailer gives a brief glimpse into the graphics of the game, which will look even better with the new Xbox One X console specs. Skyforge features a mix of sci-fi and fantasy elements, with many types of monsters, magical attacks, futuristic weapons, space ships and more. Environments appear to be expansive and detailed, with outstretching grasslands, giant stone temples, sandy dry lands, foggy wetlands, and large invader ships. Every environment has its own look and feel accompanied by a wide array of opponents.

Making a Big Game Bigger, PUBG Coming to XBox One on December 12th

If you've got an XBox One and have been feeling left out of all the furor around PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, worry not! In a new post on the XBox Wire today, the team let everyone know that PUBG is coming to XBox One via XBox Game Preview on December 12th. Yes. Yes it's true. A big game is getting bigger.

In addition to announcing Xbox’s XGP launch date on December 12, we also shared the exciting news that we’re on track to launch 1.0 for the PC version in late December.  This has been an amazing year for us and launching both 1.0 on PC and on Xbox through Xbox Game Preview are huge milestones for the team. I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come in such a short time, but I’m even more excited to say that we’re just getting started.

Both versions are being developed at the same time, but they both have their own separate roadmaps. Various Xbox One features and functionality will change and come online over time just like they have on PC, with our goal being to have both versions align to each other as soon as possible. Feedback as you know has been critical to the game’s success, so beginning December 12 we want to hear from Xbox fans on what they think about PUBG and how we can make the best version of the game possible.

PUBG XBoxers will be able to get hands on three special limited-edition cosmetic packs: The PUBG Warrior Pack, the PUBG Accessory Pack and the PUBG Tracksuit pack. These will all be available and purchasable during the preview period as there are no plans for an in-game shop once the XB1 version launches.

You can read more on the PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Xbox Wire post.

EVE Valkyrie developer CCP Games goes cold on VR

$

0

In another sign of scales majorly falling off of eyes where VR is concerned, games developer CCP Games — which made a big early bet on virtual reality gaming — is pulling the plug on two of its studios that had been working on VR titles.

The news was reported earlier by GamesIndustry.biz which obtained the following statement from CCP about the move:

CCP Games is restructuring its studio locations worldwide, driven primarily by reduced investments in virtual reality and an increased focus on PC and mobile games. This has resulted in a reorganization and centralization of its five studios across the world to three in Reykjavík, Shanghai, and London.

In the coming weeks, CCP will undertake the following proposed measures: The closure of its Atlanta studio with VR development moved to London, the sale of its Newcastle studio, and the elimination of a number of positions worldwide. The company´s Shanghai studio will be reduced and refocused to support growing business in China through local partnerships. CCP has provided severance packages and job placement assistance for all those affected.

There are no changes to ongoing plans for EVE Online and the company´s product pipeline is strong. In early October CCP confirmed continued development of its PC FPS game, ‘Project Nova’ and announced a new mobile game, ‘Project Aurora,’ both set in the EVE Universe. Both projects are on track and unaffected by these changes. CCP will announce additional game releases directly or through partnerships over the next 18 months across PC and mobile.

Two years ago, as the most recent hype wave was once again raising hopes around the tech, CCP announced a $30 million raise from Novator and NEA — specifically for developing VR games.

The veteran games developer was seeking a second act for its 12-year old MMORPG, Eve Online. Its early experiments resulted in EVE Valkyrie: One of the first game prototypes for the Oculus Rift. Another of its VR projects, Gunjack, targeted mobile VR.

CCP’s soon-to-be-shuttered Atlanta studio had also been working on a Playstation VR title called Sparc — which it described as “a unique physical sport only possible in virtual reality, in which players compete in fast-paced, full-body VR gameplay”.

While the company is not pulling out of VR development entirely, a statement from CEO Hilmar Veigar Pétursson makes it clear it’s pressing pause and conspicuously stepping back from its former positioning at “front and center in the second wave of VR” — as the commercial reality of very low consumer uptake and interest bites.

And this despite Pétursson sounding very bullish on the VR games market as recently as seven months ago when the total addressable market was estimated at less than two million units.

“Today we have made tough, but important, changes to CCP in response to how we see the gaming market evolving in the coming years,” he said today. “We will continue to support our VR games but will not be making material VR investments until we see market conditions that justify further investments beyond what we have already made.”

Though he did go on to add that: “Our belief in the long-term transformative power of the technology remains strong.”

But belief in long term tech change is a world away from spying a viable business in the short term and directing your resources to capitalize on a tangible opportunity.

VR may be very many things in the far-flung future. Right now, for many players, a viable business it’s not.

As we wrote this summer, this VR cycle is dead. Check back in five years. And be happy if you didn’t already bet the farm on an overhyped fantasy.

Life is Feudal: MMO is a realistic social experience, where the best way to thrive in the world is to work together and build a fully functioning society, where everyone has a place, from the most basic hunters and gatherers, to farmers, soldiers and civic leaders. Let’s face it, not everyone has the skills to be Overwatch e-sports material, but you can still show your competitive side in-game with the start of Season 7 of Competitive Play earlier this week. If you’re still dreaming of making it into the big leagues, the Overwatch Open Division might be a good place to start.

“For those who have tested their metle in Competitive Play and want a bigger challenge, the Overwatch Open Division will help you become a true contender. This entry-level program for aspiring professionals is an excellent proving ground where players can test their strengths as teammates and face off against other regional teams in a structured weekly format.”

Season 3 of the Open Division kicks off on November 6th and will run until December 10th with the top eight regional teams vying for the top spot on December 16 and 17.

Meanwhile, Mercy is due for another round of nerfs which include an increase in Resurrect cast time and a 75% movement speed reduction while casting. These changes do not apply when Valkyrie is activated. Ana will also be getting a small damage boost to make her more “threatening.” PC players can now test out these upcoming changes in the PTR.

“We feel that Mercy’s recent rework has been successful, but her Resurrect ability still feels too strong and frustrating to play against. Now that it has a cast time, there is more room for enemies to counter the ability. However, casting Resurrect happens instantly when Valkyrie is active. This should make her feel powerful when she transforms on the battlefield.”

Gigantic Developer Motiga May Be Laying off Staff and Ceding Control to Perfect

It’s late Thursday night and we’re getting some not-so-good news out of Gigantic developer Motiga.

Here’s a link to a Reddit thread titled “RIP Motiga :(” started by Audio Lead Dan Crislip, a.k.a., MO_Soundz. He links to his Twitter account, in which he writes, “Today marks the end of Motiga and my time with an absolutely amazing team.”

While one might first infer that Crislip alone left Motiga, his further comments on Reddit seem to indicate something far greater:

JUST TO CLARIFY. NO, GIGANTIC ISN’T GOING TO END ANYTIME SOON, I’D ASSUME THAT PERFECT WORLD WILL TAKE OVER. YES, THIS IS A TWEET FROM A MOTIGAN BUT NO OFFICIAL WORD HAS BEEN SAID, BUT I’D ASSUME IT’S TRUE. AND FINALLY, WHEN I SAY “ASSUME” I MEAN “YES THIS WILL HAPPEN/YES THIS IS 100% TRUE” SO.

Elsewhere on Twitter, former Motiga employee Troy Hewitt offered his condolences to Motiga employees, saying that he’s “Really sorry to hear about the latest trauma.” Combined with Crislip’s statements on Reddit, which include “Perfect World will be running the future of Gigantic,” it would seem to indicate that multiple people have been let go by Motiga — and that the game itself will be undergoing some changes in management.

It wouldn’t be the first time — or even the second — that Motiga has faced layoffs. The developer went through some painful layoffs while Gigantic was still in development but seemed to have rebounded after working out an agreement with Perfect World Entertainment to publish the game. Now, less than four months after its official launch, the game and its developer may be facing further difficulties.

We’ll add to this story as we learn more.

MU Legend has re-opened the long-awaited forums, and the game client and frontier packs are still available before the open beta.

WEBZEN, a global developer and publisher of free-to-play games, today reminds players of the impending launch of MU Legend's OBT on November 7th, 2017.

With the open beta set to begin early next week, the latest version of the MU Legend client is already available for download on the website. Players that took part in the stress test will have a patch available when the servers open on November 7th, 2017 (UTC).

Furthermore, once the OBT starts, there will be no data wipes. This means that players can enjoy the game from day 1, secure in the knowledge that their characters will not be lost when the game reaches official release. Players who have not yet signed up or downloaded the client are still welcome to do so at: http://mulegend.webzen.com/en/

In 2001, MU Online was released to the pure happiness of hordes of fans all around the world. This marked the birth of the MU franchise globally. In 2017, 16 years later, MU Legend pays tribute to those unforgettable days, embodying much of what made its eldest ARPG brother so unique: Atmosphere, lore, game mechanics and much more. While staying true to the essence of the MU franchise, MU Legend comes with its own flavor and richness for players to discover. It's the product of a new vision that emerged from the minds of the MU Legend developers, generated with experience acquired over more than a decade.

MU Legend will open the doors into a fantastic world, long before the events of MU Online. As previously introduced, players will have four classic MU-franchise classes to choose from and embark on their epic journeys.

On the official Facebook page and Discord channel, users who had the chance to join the two closed betas and the stress test are passionately (and kindly) urging the MU Legend team to release the game.

Responding to their fans' enthusiasm, the MU Legend team at WEBZEN Dublin commented: "Our players are the most supportive fans ever! Even when we were facing the pre-production hazards experienced by almost every game, our fans expressed their unbreakable encouragement in thousands of ways! We're truly blown away by the support we've been receiving on our social media pages. Seeing the hundreds of positive emojis really puts smiles on our faces every day."

To welcome all guilds, feedback, roleplay stories and more, the MU Legend team has today re-opened the long-awaited forums. A place for all to post opinions, guides and questions, the forums are ready to host fans from all over the world.

To provide the best game experience for players, MU Legend's team of experts has released a new volley of deeply detailed game guides. The guides provided include topics such as the Rift, the guild system and the Endless Tower, each of which covers invaluable knowledge for any MU Legend pro; the "Guides" section of MU Legend's website is not to be missed.

Players are also invited to discuss the game and join the official Facebook community at: http://facebook.com/MULegendGlobal.
