Black Desert Online KR Patch Notes Showcase Class And Content Alterations

$

0

The latest patch notes for Black Desert Online KR have introduced several changes, including alterations to characters, items, classes and content.

The latest event is currently underway, which began on November 1st. Memory Fragment Hours will last through until November 30th, which will see the drop rate of Memory Fragments increase during EXP boost hours. There’s also a note that the event that sees players investigating Vell’s Territory is set to be removed.

Meanwhile a number of character bugs have been fixed, with some improvements being made also. For example, players can now move straight away after pressing ESC after an enhancement. The character creation menu should now have descriptions on Awakening weapons, showcasing a combat video in each. Plus, there has been a change to skill icons for the Absolute skills, which now have a golden edge around them.

As for items, the Terrmian Fishing Rod is no longer bound to the character. Issues in which players were unable to exchange Corrupt Crystals with Kalis weapons, as well as right-clicking on Spell Powder not showing NPC Ronatz on the map have both been fixed. You can also now rent Old Moon Fence from the managers in each town, though you’ll need to have your farming rank beyond Master 1. They do use less space than Strong Fence, but can still fit 10 crops inside of them.

What will be welcome news is that the Savage Rift bugs have been fixed. These included not being able to move to the location where an installable object has been destroyed, plus short characters being unable to shoot monsters with matchlocks. The amount of Oil, Arrows, Hwacha and Flame Towers were previously being displayed incorrectly, though this has now been fixed.

For a full list of changes being made, head over to the official website.

Those daring enough to brave the hazards and monstrosities of this subterranean realm will have ample chance to stuff their bags with awe-inspiring treasures in the form of 135 wondrous new cards!

Pesky Kobolds have been tunneling beneath Azeroth for thousands of years, uncovering and hoarding artifacts long forgotten by mortals and surface dwellers . . . but whispers of these mighty treasures ripe for the taking have begun to spread throughout taverns far and wide. Some of the most alluring rumors speak of powerful Spellstones among the 135 cards included in Kobolds & Catacombs: enchanted items that you hold in your hand to empower before playing. Intrepid adventurers will also be able to arm themselves with one of nine new class-specific Legendary Weapons! Players will receive one free Legendary Weapon the first time they log in to Hearthstone after Kobolds & Catacombs has launched.

The bravest and most foolhardy adventurers will need all the help they can get as they delve into Hearthstone’s free new single-player game mode: Dungeon Runs! Coming with the launch of Kobolds & Catacombs, Dungeon Runs will send Hearthstone players on challenging, high-stakes subterranean adventures inspired by the classic fantasy dungeon crawl. The battle against the Legion has left the world broken—but the shattered trust between the Alliance and the Horde could prove the hardest wound to mend. Blizzard Entertainment unveiled plans for World of Warcraft®: Battle for Azeroth™, a new expansion to the company’s acclaimed massively multiplayer online role-playing game that will test players’ resolve as they champion their faction’s cause in a devastating new war.

In Battle for Azeroth, the fall of the Burning Legion has set off a series of disastrous incidents that reignites the furious rivalry between the noble Alliance and the mighty Horde. As a new age of warfare begins, Azeroth's heroes must set out on a harrowing journey in search of new allies, race to claim the world’s mightiest resources to turn the tides of war, and fight on several fronts to determine which side will lead Azeroth into its uncertain future.

"Conflict is at the heart of the Warcraft® saga, and in Battle for Azeroth, tensions that have been simmering for a long time escalate into all-out war,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and cofounder of Blizzard Entertainment. “World of Warcraftplayers are incredibly passionate about the characters and factions they identify with in the game, and this expansion will make them prouder than ever to declare their allegiance to the Horde or to the Alliance."

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth includes new features and content that will put heroes’ dedication and fortitude to the test. In this expansion, players will be called upon to:

Explore Two Fabled Kingdoms: As a champion of the Horde, travel to the Zandalar empire to persuade the trolls to lend their naval might. As a defender of the Alliance, venture to the seafaring kingdom of Kul Tiras, home of Jaina Proudmoore, and rally its inhabitants to fight for your cause.

Recruit Allied Races: Take a new form for your adventures as several new playable Allied Races, each with unique racial abilities. Earn the favor of the Highmountain tauren, Void elves, Dark Iron dwarves, and others to create a new character of that race and add their strength to your faction.

Plunder the Islands of the Great Sea: Scour Azeroth’s myriad uncharted Islands and conquer an ever-changing array of enemies, environments, and objectives. Battle in groups of three as you race against cunning rival intruders—or enemy players—to collect each island’s resources and fuel the war effort.

Charge Into the Warfronts: Fight on the battlefields of a large-scale, 20-player cooperative Warfront to claim a key strategic location. Capture resources to build your faction’s forces, lead the charge as your troops lay siege to objectives, and fight the enemy commander to claim victory in this new PvE mode inspired by classic Warcraft RTS battles.

Infuse Your Armor with Titanic Might: Seek out Azerite, an invaluable new resource that has emerged in the Legion’s wake. Imbue the Heart of Azeroth—a legendary neck piece entrusted to each hero by Magni Bronzebeard—with Azerite to customize your armor with new powers and traits.

Battle to Level 120: Trace the corruption of the Blood God to the Underrot, unearth the secrets of a lost titan vault, escape from the Drust Realm of the Dead, and more as you quest through 10 new levels—then continue to grow in power through new World Quests, raids, dungeons, and more.

Instantly Boost to Level 110: Enter the raging conflict between the Horde and the Alliance prepared to survive on the front lines of a vicious new war.

Connect Through Communities: Join up with WoW® players who share common interests in persistent cross-realm Communities. Share strategies with members of your class, fraternize with auction house magnates, talk shop with fellow tailors, and expand your social circles.

In a recent statement, Sebastian Kaulitzki, Producer at Brain Stone GmbH has made the announcement that Pantropy is moving their Kickstarter up to February 6th, 2018, from their previously planned Nov 7th launch in order to add some polishing touches to their games alpha version. In his statement, Sebastian Kaulitzki announces what fans can expect.
"We have decided to delay the Kickstarter. Even at this early stage, we don't want to sell keys to a closed alpha that doesn't meet our standards. We rather delay it than launching an unpolished game. We don´t think that we're ready to launch the alpha yet. We'll give away a few keys during the Friday streams and will continue to work hard on the closed alpha. The Kickstarter launch will be moved to the 6th February." says Sebastian Kaulitzki, Producer at Brain Stone GmbH.
Pantropy, currently in pre-alpha, is not just another survival game, the game offers a unique experience as a Sci-fi Mech/FPS Hybrid with RPG elements, along with having a strong focus on both PVE and PVP gameplay.

“Players won't find themselves in the typical deathmatch scenario. They’ll be able to choose a faction once they join a server.  We built-in a feature which places a player among friends and other faction members the moment they are spawned onto a map, so potential enemies can be clearly identified. This limits the whole K.O.S. (Kill on sight) - factor.”, says Sebastian Kaulitzki, Producer at Brain Stone GmbH.
An exclusive press demo will be available soon, all verified media outlets and streamers interested can request this demo here.

An Overwatch Movie Maybe Coming Soon

$

An Overwatch film is something Activision seems interested in developing.

Activision could develop a Overwatch movie at some point in the future, as it’s something the firm would be very interested in exploring.

According to the company’s head of Consumer Products Group, Tim Kilpin, the prospect is something Activision “would like very much.”

Kilpin was once head of franchise management at Disney, and had a hand in managing Pixar’s marketing appeal.

A Call of Duty film is in development at present, and MCV broached the subject with Kilpin of whether an animated Overwatch film was possible – once the aforementioned project was completed.

“We’re a platform and a portfolio, these franchises exist across multiple platforms,” he told MCV. “It’s not just the game as a driver, but it’s linear content [movies and TV] as a way to expand the audience and expand the opportunity and then esports [too].

“Pull all that together and you’re talking about franchises that are frankly like no other.”

Kilpin admits bringing video game franchises to a “new form factor,” such as films will always be a risk, as Activision is fully aware. Regarding the Call of Duty film, Kilpin said if “script and the story isn’t right we won’t do it.”

“It’s not one of those situations where someone is saying ‘I don’t care just get it made!’ that’s not what’s happening,” he said. “We do think that if it’s done well it has the opportunity to expand the base audience, beyond the traditional foundation that the game appeals to.”

Back in 2013, a film based on Call of Duty seemed off the table, going by a New York Times article on Activision CEO Bobby Kotick. At the time, Kotick was of the opinion movies based on video games ‘rarely please devoted fans,’ and could ultimately taint a brand. That said, in 2012 the World of Warcraft film was already in the works and a new writer had been hired.

In 2014, there were rumblings of Activision “tentatively planning” to open a studio to produce both movies and TV shows based on its properties. This came to fruition the following year when Activision Blizzard Studios was announced with Disney executive Nick van Dyk as co-president. Alongside the announcement was new of the Call of Duty franchise in development for mediums outside video games.

The first effort from the studio came in the form of a Skylanders television series called Skylanders Academy which airs on Netflix. Its third season is set to air in fall 2018.

So, does this mean an Overwatch film or TV series could be developed in the near future? Possibly. Considering how well-received the animated shorts are with fans, an Overwatch film in a similar vein could be rather great.

‘Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE’ Launches on Steam

$

0
Croteam, the minds behind the Serious Sam franchise, has released its fourth Serious Sam-themed VR game: Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE (2017) for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.

Now available on Steam, Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE is a fast-paced shooter serving as a prequel to the original Serious Sam: The First Encounter (2001). While it’s technically a VR port of the 6-year old Serious Sam 3: BFE (2011), and not really designed from the ground-up for VR, that’s probably not going to bother a lot of hardcore first-person shooter fans as they step into the shoes of Sam for the fourth time. Taking place during an epic final struggle against Mental’s invading forces, you shoot down beasts in a way fans of the franchise will immediately resonate with; by walking up and blowing their heads off with your own two hands.

A big difference from Croteam’s first VR game, Serious Sam VR: The Last Hope (2017), is the inclusion of artificial locomotion so you can explore the game’s expansive levels in the same vein as Croteam’s second and third Serious Sam VR games—Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter (2017) and Serious Sam VR: The Second Encounter (2017).

The game supports a few teleportation styles as well as smooth movement presets, with or without comfort mode. Also included are Croteam’s ‘advanced VR controls’, something the company says is “meant for the hardcore VR gamer.”

“Wishes of the VR community are always in the back of our minds, and we’re very excited to round out our virtual reality offerings in order to provide them with the full Serious Sam experience,” said Croteam VR lead and all-around nice guy, Davor Hunski. “Our goal was to deliver intuitive, thrilling and fun VR games and, hopefully, we made that happen.”

The game boasts a number of multiplayer modes like Co-op, Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Last Man Standing, Last Team Standing and Instant Kill. Supporting both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, you can bet you’ll want a room-scale tracking setup to get the most out of the 360 carnage.

Serious Sam 3 VR: BFE normally costs $40, but is currently 10% off at $36. The offer ends November 16th.

KOG Games Releases Elsword Insider Volume 2

The new video shows off all the benefits of the latest update for the game. Details below:

Secret Dungeon
  • Lowered Difficulty on Lv.70 ~ 89 Secret Dungeon(s) – This revamp was done so that players who are new to Secret Dungeons will have less trouble clearing them without dying multiple times; originally quite the daunting task.
  • Luto Mode is now available for Lv.90 and Up Secret Dungeons – This was done to bring players together that may be more closely geared/leveled so that the individual players should carry their own weight. In short, there should be fewer mistakes and needless wipes from under-geared players, and less trolling towards them in what used to be accidental entry to Lv.70 ~ 89 Luto Mode dungeons.
    •   - Lv. 70 ~ 89 players will be queued together unless a Lv.90+ character parties with lv.70 ~ 89 players.
    •   - All Lv.90 + characters will be queued together.
  • Instead of needing to go to a specific Village Blacksmith for Village specific Secret Dungeon Exchange or Upgrading needs, players will be able to Exchange/Upgrade all Secret Dungeon gear with any Blacksmith in any town.
  • Lowered the Upgrade costs required for Normal Secret Dungeon Gear (Grendized-Rank) so there will be less need to grind out Daily Quests when upgrading.

Heroic Dungeon
  • Heroic Dungeons are now easier and have only 1 difficulty level.
    •   - Players that have geared themselves out with upgraded Secret Dungeon Gear will have an easier time running Heroic Dungeons.
  • New (1) Difficulty Heroic Dungeons will yield Hell Difficulty Heroic Mode loot!
    •   - Because the loot from the Hell Difficulty Heroic Dungeons has been transferred to the new, lowered difficulty structure, players will receive more significant, relevant gear. Previously, players were at a risk of getting gear that was worse than what they'd have received from Secret Dungeons

Add's Energy Fusion Theory Dungeon
  • Daily Quests added for Add's Energy Fusion Theory Dungeon negate RNG so that players are guaranteed to receive the same amount of Energy Shards
  • For those that are extremely lucky (or unlucky) and get duplicate drops of the same Void-Type Weapons, they can now dismantle them and can get more Energy Shards

Elrianode Dungeon
  • For some players, just experiencing the end game story could be difficult. Some weren't geared enough but wanted to just complete/experience the story of Elsword. With the new Story Mode difficulty, they can now experience the Debrian Laboratory & El Tower Defense Dungeons at a significantly lower difficulty.
    •   - The difficulty is lowered and penalties like Resurrection Limits were removed from the El Tower Defense Dungeon in Story Mode to make it easier to complete.
  • Players no longer need to complete the previous region's Epic Quest lines in order to start the Elrianode region Epic Quest lines.
    •   - This makes it easier for those that are only after the Elrianode Equipment from the Elrianode Epic Quest lines.

Lanox, Atlas, and Elysion
  • The Lanox Epic Quest Line – Players no longer need to complete these to begin the Atlas Epic Quest line
  • Atlas Epic Quest Line – Players no longer need to complete these to begin the Elysion Epic Quest Line
    •   - This change allows players to pick up the respective quests wherever they please; just in case they out-leveled the Lanox or the Atlas Regions from grinding Secret Dungeons
  • All Elysion Dungeons will have their difficulty removed
    •   - You won't have to worry about mistakenly running the wrong difficulty dungeon for your Epic Quest Lines

Camilla's Skill Manual Quests
  • Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert Skill Manual Quests have been revamped
    •   - Expanded the Regions whereas players can acquire the required items to complete the Skill Manual quests
    •   - This revamp allows players to progress through the story while completing the Skill Manual Quests instead of being stuck in a specific region that they may have out-leveled (due to bad RNG/Not getting the drops they need)

Fever System
  • The Fever System has been revamped to become more useful/relevant
    •   - Players will no longer be forced to enter the 1 Bead "Awaken" status, sacking their desire to have the benefits of the preferred 3 Bead "Awaken" Status.

"I designed it to in a way that the story will compel you to finish the game even though your common sense will tell you to stop playing because you no longer have any shit left in your body to be scared out of you."

Fans Agree - Early Access Build Received an 86% Positive on Gamer Steam Reviews.

“ I was lured in by its enchanting graphics and fantasy lore that just blends in so well with the story. They're also horror elements I've jumped more in this game than any horror game I played with only two of the scares rigged.” - Knytron OMEGA

“My girlfriend said "this isn't as scary as you said." Then the very first enemy in the entire game attacked her. She screamed and tried to rip the Vive off, failed, and ran directly into the wall then fell on the ground.” - Deathdefy

“This game is right up there with Vanishing Realms. It's the scariest game I have ever played and the graphics and sound are excellent.” - Montaigne

Korean developer Pearl Abyss made a ballsy move yesterday by announcing it is holding a media showcase event on 23 November to reveal more details and the launch schedule for Black Desert Mobile. This is done instead of taking part in G-Star 2017 next week and hanging out with the rest of the gaming community! No matter, Pearl Abyss today revealed a new trailer highlighting the character customization system in Black Desert Mobile.

As you might have noticed, it is to some extent very similar to the PC version’s which the development team is aiming for. Crafted by its own in-house game engine, Black Desert Mobile might be the most beautiful mobile game ever, with players spending hours on creating the perfect avatar. Pearl Abyss is teasing 2 more trailers to come, so stay tuned!
