Dragomon Hunter

Dragomon Hunter
is going to release another expansion in China and a new class Knight will be added. This will be the 6th class for the anime style action MMORPG. The game’s NA and EU version has just started closed beta on Oct. 15 with 4 classes. Western players can expect to play Ninja and Knight in the future.

Dragomon Hunter knight

Like the other classes, Knight can use weapons. Knight is an offensively and defensively balanced class. Knight can choose from 2 specialized classes: one wields spear and shield and is capable of dealing lots of damage; the other one wields sword and shield which focuses more on protecting the party.

The expansion increases level cap to 40 and opens new 40-man raid which is the most difficult one so far. NA and EU players should be able to play all these new content in the future.

Aeria Games has added new class Warlock to Echo of Soul in new Update 1.5. Along with Warlock, 2 new dungeons are opened. What’s more, the update inclides an expanded number of character slots per account, and the start of a new PvP Season.

Warlock – master of dark power

Marrying ranged and melee attacks, the Warlock challenges players to a new combat strategy. Harnessing dark new abilities as a Tormentor or a Reaper, the Warlock drives his enemies mad with despair. To celebrate the new character class, the number of character slots available for each account has increased from six to eight. The first player to reach level 60 with the Warlock class on each server will receive a special Warlock title.

2 new dungeons: Crimson Fortress and Destroyed Cardilla

Two new dungeons included in the update, Crimson Fortress and Destroyed Cardilla, will test the strength of even the toughest players. Tricky traps and deadly enemies challenge adventurers to employ all skills at their disposal. There are also new Tier 5 Infinite Solo Dungeons and Tier 6 Party Dungeons with new boss monsters. The update also brings the start of PvP Season 2, which kicks off this week and runs through March 2016. All players start fresh for the new season and get the chance to compete for exclusive titles and new PvP gear.

Dota 2: Na`Vi officially disbanded

Today is a really sad day for all Na´Vi Dota fans and the whole Dota community. The team that has entertained us for a long time has been officially disbanded.

After disappointing results in the past year the organization has decided to disband the team. Some of the best Dota 2 players will now look to find new teams. This opens new possibilities for former Na´Vi players and hopefully they will find their old passion in new teams.

Na´Vi will always be remembered as the first ever winner of The International. They had a huge contribution in the Dota 2 scene development and we wish the players and organization all the best in the future.

TGT Which Shaman Cards You Should Or Shouldn't Pick

0
0

Since some time has passed and meta has settled a bit in the arena it is time to look at TGT cards and see which ones turned out to be good and which ones not. This time I will talk about newly released Shaman class cards in TGT and whether you should pick them or not.

Ratings

I will rate the cards into the following categories:

Amazing - you should always pick these when you have a chance. These are the cards that can win you the game by themselves. They are commonly found in 12 win decks. Most of the time you will only manage to pick few cards in this category
Good- good but not op cards in the arena. These are definitely nice to pick up they will make up around 1/4th of your deck. These either have stats that are better than expected or average stats with a good card text. Pretty good if you manage to pick up some.
Average - main part of your deck will consist of cards in this category. These are found everywhere and you will have to pick a lot of them but don't worry average is good enough for an arena deck.
Bad - these cards either have bad stats for their mana cost, their effect is too small, or they don't do enough. You will generally want to avoid these cards because they will weight your deck down in quality because most of the time your opponents will have average decks.
Terrible - never pick these if you can. All of these are considered garbage in arena and you should only pick them if you are forced to do so.

Ancestral Knowledge - Average

If you compare Ancestral Knowledge to Arcane Intellect this card seems bad as you pay total of 4 mana compared to 3 for Arcane Intellect. However Ancestral Knowledge has it’s upsides. First of all you pay only 2 mana on the turn you play it which means you have a higher chance of getting something good with it and being able to play it instantly that turn. Also Shaman in general is known for having bad card mechanics. This means that most opponents won’t be expecting you to get card advantage and you can surprise them.

Totem Golem - Good

A very solid addition to Shaman in arena. KIlls almost all 1 and 2 drops and most 3 drops. The effectiveness of this card greatly depends on your mana curve and how you play it out. Whether you should play the card or not depends if you have a follow up next turn. For example coining out Totem Golem if you don’t have a 1 drop in your hand often is a bad play because essentially you will be wasting your coin.

Elemental Destruction- Amazing

One of the best AoE removals in the arena. This is due to fact that it only costs 3 mana on your turn when you play it. This means that you are able to clear your opponent’s board and then rebuild it fast with your remaining mana. Obviously you won’t want to use it on turns 3-6 (unless you are really behind on the board) because the overload will mess up your mana curve and lets your opponent to fill up the board again.
Healing Wave - Bad

Overall healing in arena is considered bad if the only thing a card does is heal (for example compare Healing Touch to Guardian of Kings). This is mostly because in arena the chances of getting an aggressive deck are pretty low and also you will rarely see people have much reach. If you do want to pick Healing Wave make sure your deck isn’t aggressive or tempo because it will only hurt your deck.

Tuskarr Totemic- Average

Even though it is highly affected by randomness it’s still a decent card. You can think of it as playing a 3/2 for 2 mana and also getting a totem for 1 mana. Most of the time you will get a pretty useless totem but sometimes you will get a Totem Golem and win the game.
Charged Hammer - Good

Hero Power which does 2 damage is insanely good in arena. 2 damage for 2 mana is acceptable even on a card and if you keep using your hero power you will get card advantage and if you have enough health and tempo you will win the game. On top of getting a very good hero power you will get a 2/4 weapon which is decent. However remember that usually you will want to play Charged Hammer if you have the board and aren’t too behind on tempo because Charged Hammer loses you a lot of tempo as you only get 2 damage for 4 mana on the turn you play it.

Draenei Totemcarver - Average

A Frostwolf Warlord of totems. Most of the time you will have to play Draenei as a 4/4 for 4 mana but that is fine because these stats are fair costed. If you manage to have a totem on the board and play a 5/5 on turn 4 you will be in a great shape because it will kill almost all 4 drops that your opponent can put out. Overall a decent card and it’s value depends on how many totems you have in your deck.
Thunder Bluff Valiant - Amazing

Shaman’s hero power has been considered very bad in arena by a lot of people. This is mostly because the totems don’t impact the game as much as other hero powers. Thunder Bluff Valiant pretty much changes it and you get 2/2 or a 3/1 minion. The most important thing is that it activates after you summon a totem which means that the totem you spawned using your hero power will get a buff too. On top of all this Thunder Bluff Valiant has good stats for it’s mana cost (compare it to Fen Creeper).

MLG World Finals 2015 day one recap: strictly (monkey) Business

0
0

Day one of the MLG Finals was an certainly an exciting one for DotA 2. With the day 2 matches about to start here is what you may have missed from the first games of the tournament.

Nothing but (monkey) Business

Not so long ago, the European qualifier team would most likely be expected to fill up the lower places of an international tournament. However, the newly formed stack with N0tail (ex-Cloud9) and MoonMeander (ex-CompLexity Gaming) ran the show on the first day of MLG.

They showed that they were not a team to be trifled with, as their highly skilled execution in early fighting allowed them to pressure some of the best teams in the world into submission. This included but was by no means limited to Evil Geniuses who fought hard to go to 3 games against the simian sensations, but were ultimately forced into fighting to survive into the next day.

After qualifying for the Frankfurt Major successfully, N0tail and the gang proved themselves to be decisively the best tier 2 team in Europe. With their performance yesterday in New Orleans, they are making a case to be right up there with not only the best in Europe, but one of the better teams in the west.

They made short work of Virtus.pro, finishing the Russians in a swift 2 game series, which made them the first team to enter into the playoff bracket for the tournament. They will have a nice break to watch the matches as the other teams such as Team Secret and Cloud9 try and secure themselves a place in the semi-finals.

LGD Gaming bow out on day one

The Chinese powerhouse LGD had a similarly disappointing run to their brethren over at LGD League of Legends. Finishing in 9th-12th position in the 2015 LoL Worlds, the LGD organisation in DotA 2 have also failed to pass through the group stages at MLG.

While the scope of the two tournaments are obviously not comparable, they are both in keeping with a downward trend for the team post-TI. Failing to make it to ESL One New York, MLG is the first LAN that LGD have attended since their massive 3rd place finish at TI5. Their first game of the event resulted in a quick 2-0 defeat to Virtus.pro. A good first showing for the Russians after ESL One New York put the Chinese on the verge of being knocked out.

After EG’s defeat at the hands of (monkey), LGD were to face the American TI5 winners who put them in 3rd place in the Winner bracket final earlier this year at TI. Game one was, despite not being a game of soccer, a game of two halves. LGD took a commanding lead of the game, having it all but one before a push into the EG’s bottom lane highground resulted in disaster. From then on Arteezy’s Anti-Mage was an unstoppable force. Even though he got picked off once, it was not enough to stop EG’s assault.

Throwback to TI2 opening from ppd

Game 2 was an interesting draft from both sides, but EG simply managed to unravel their opponents getting kill after kill as LGD refused to slow down their aggression. With that game LGD’s MLG run came to a premature end. EG managed to save their skin, but still have to battle it out against VP to try and make it through to the semi-finals.

Group B positioned as expected so far

As for Group B, both Team Secret and CDEC are sitting at the top with a win each. Cloud9 and MVP.Phoenix will have to a pull out a win in order to have any chance of getting into the semi-finals. Team Secret are currently looking the strongest in the group, as to be expected, but that could all change going to day 2.

The really interesting games to watch will be Cloud9's as they try and prove that they are on the same level as their European counterparts in managing to up their game to the same level as these T1 teams.

MLG 2015 storylines to follow: can EternalEnvy just do it?

0
0

The MLG World Finals 2015 are upon us. All the teams have arrived in New Orleans ahead of the event and are getting ready to start their group-stage games. This MLG will be the biggest in the event's history. The groups have been drawn as have the battle lines for the fight over the sizeable $250,000 prize pool, which will see both the biggest direct invite teams and qualifier teams face off in what promises to be an exciting few days.

We have seen the previews and predictions for who will leave their group, but everyone enjoys a good storyline to follow. What makes these offline events so exciting is the promise of an underdog fighting, a good old fashioned grudge match or the rise or fall of a champion. Here are a few key storylines to follow to get you hyped as the event unfolds.

The Evil Geniuses post-TI win performance

The American dream story. We have all seen Free to Play (if not then watch it now!) and followed Fear’s journey from his old school PC setup to winning the biggest prize pool in eSports history. Throw into the mix the 16-year-old sensation SumaiL and the return of Arteezy to his old squad and you have an American team that are on the verge of being one of the best DotA 2 teams in recent times.

It's not holiday time any more for ppd and his dream team

With their win at TI5 and a good run into the Frankfurt Major, they could be on course to take top finish after top finish. However, there are a lot of ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ to get them there. The team’s performance at LANs such as MLG in the run-up to the Major will show just how far EG are capable of going. The recent performance at ESL One, being knocked into 5th-8th place by Vega Squadron, not ideal for them. They still have to find their feet with their new roster, so it will be interesting to see how well they do in New Orleans.

Team Secret: the team that was built to win and EternalEnvy’s hunt for 1st

Back in the post TI4 team shuffle discussions, Puppey wanted to create a team that was designed to win LANs. Designed to win them, but also designed around the players, so they were not losing unnecessary money to an eSports organisation.

Going into TI5 Team Secret had a slightly tweaked roster than they had initially and were the biggest force to be reckoned with in the competitive DotA 2 scene. They won 4 LANs in a row leading up to the big one in Seattle. After they crashed out of TI5 in the lower bracket to Virtus.pro, they have had a complete rework, keeping only Puppey.

The storyline for Team Secret is twice as exciting because they not only are back with a fresh roster looking for more LAN wins, but they have a particular player who would love a first place. EternalEnvy was an integral part of the previous Cloud9 squad, but their name became synonymous with second place at LANs. Not only do the player focussed organisation want to prove themselves allstars, EE would love to buck his trend and grab a first place win at an international LAN.

(monkey) Business and Cloud9 play with the big boys

N0tail and the gang after a successful first day

These two teams have been dominant in their respective regions recently, placing very highly in nearly every single qualifier they have been a part of. These wins have put them into major events such as this MLG, Nanyang Championships and the Frankfurt Major.

The real test will be when these LANs are actually played. We saw Vega Squadron qualify for ESL One New York and actually manage to win the whole event, taking first place away from Team Secret (hence why EE is still looking for that elusive title). When it comes to playing against T1 international teams, especially from other regions, we will really sort the men from the boys.

Can Cloud9 and (monkey) take the extra step and manage to contest those top tier spots. Particularly for C9 they are surely aiming to take their organisation back to the level it was at before disbanding after TI5. A direct invite to the next Major would be amazing progress for them, but first they have to save themselves from elimination today.

The fight for number one in North America: Cloud9 vs. EG?

For fans of the North American DotA scene, this potential matchup promises to be very spicy indeed. If it actually happens it will be a fun game, as the players will all know each other so well in addition to determining whether or not C9 are contenders for the number one title. As just stated they have made decisive victories in all the qualifiers they have been a part of, besting aui_2000’s new team Digital Chaos (arguably their most significant rivals) on a few occasions.

Many have touted them as the second best team in NA. Now it is time for them to face up against the biggest names in NA and all of DotA 2 this year: TI5 winners EG might be, but more importantly they are the team that everyone wants to be and they are in Cloud9’s own backyard. C9 are on the line between tier 2 and tier 1, but is it better to reign in Hell rather than serve in Heaven?

In order for this game to happen, both EG and C9 will have to both make it out of their groups, which will be a challenge in itself. EG saved themselves yesterday, but they will have to beat VP to go through to the semi-finals. Will we find out who is the best in NA DotA?

(monkey) Business refuse to sign with organisation without access to accounts

0
0

According to an insider in the CIS DotA 2 scene, Mark ‘March3llo’ Averbuch, (monkey) Business are refusing to sign with any eSports organisation unless they can inspect their financial accounts before any agreement is made. Roughly translated March3llo’s tweet reads, “No one will take (monkey) until they remove their claims for specific account statements of the company”.

The implication is that (monkey) have stipulated specifically that they will refuse to sign with any CIS organisations unless they can fully inspect the company’s account. Whether or not they have actually been approached by any organisations in particular is unclear, but according to March3llo, no companies will be willing accept these terms.

The ensuing conversation over Twitter involved more statements from March3llo as well as comments from Team Empire and the Balkan Bears. March3llo was adamant that “No one in their right mind will open their financial accounts”.

The general theme of the exchange was that no company would agree to the terms that (monkey) Business had laid out and that, according to Team Empire, Johan ‘N0tail’ Sundstein had already faced the fact that trying to make sales with his name produced sub-par results. It looks unlikely that (monkey) will be able to find an organisation that is willing to take them.

However, it does not seem necessary that they find an organisation at all. Team Secret have showed that the backing of an official eSports company is far from needed in order to have success and make decent earnings. With that in mind there is no massive incentive for (monkey) Business to back down on their terms if they can probably survive without any interference from a sponsor.

Monster Hunter Online: Graphic Evolves in Upcoming Final Test

0
0

Monster Hunter Online developed by Tencent Games is having a small scale "pioneering beta test" recently, which is also the last data-wiped test before Monster Hunter Online begins non-wiped beta that is scheduled to happen later this year. Therefore, the contents in the pioneering beta test have been regarded as a "wind vane" for what to expect in the next beta.

Besides the improvement on many game systems and contents in the pioneering test, the most direct feeling is the graphic revolution. Thanks to the new PBS and IBL technology, the graphics in the new version have been improved dramatically. Through the comparison between the new and old graphics, it can be easily found that hunter's armors and equipments also have an overhual. The trailier below will explain everything for what you can expect in the next non-wiped beta test.

In addition, Monster Hunter Online will be showcased at the upcoming annual TGC (Tencent Games Carnival). Attendees can get their hands on the MHO exclusive TGC version and several famous Monster Hunter Chinese players will be invited to TGC to have a competition together. Also, Tencent will announce some big news about MHO at TGC, along with two well known Japanese guests. Maybe it's finally the time for the open beta after several closed beta tests?

Gamevil's Dungeon Link to Get a Big Update on October 19

0
0

Gamevil
has released details regarding their next update for their Puzzle-RPG title Dungeon Link. This update will open up one new zone at least, add a few new story heroes, and also feature plenty of game balancing tweak. Another much requested feature that is being added is the ability to use multiple heroes in multiple attempts to enhance your hero to +5, but doing it all at once instead of individually.

Gamevil will be adding four new story heroes to Dungeon Link as well as one non-story hero. Two of the new story heroes, Andras the Demon God (Water) and Belial the Demon God (Attack), will be ones that you fight and possibly get as a drop in the new zone opening up, and possibly through raid as well. The new zone is called Belial's Defense Line and features some new monsters to deal with as well.

The other two story heroes, Fenrir the Guardian (Wood) and Daine the Thunder Fairy (Fire), will be available as rewards you can purchase with earned Champion Road Hero pieces. Dagger Juggler Esmeralda (Support) is the non-story hero addition to Dungeon Link and looks to be a regular drop/combine hero. The last of the hero-based additions is actually a new costum: Little Princess Lilith. This costume will give Lilith the same stat boost as previous costumes. Unfortunately no word on whether or not this update will allow players to purchase costumes with gems.

This update features a lot of tweaks, game balancing, and so on. The Rune system has been tweaked greatly. Rune upgrading, especially at the higher levels (5 star and 6 star) have had their chance to succeed increased. Example: Right now ungrading a 5 star rune to 6 star costs only 28,000 gold but you only have a 5% chance of success. After the update, the same upgrade will have a 20% success rate but will cost 112,000 gold. On top of that, all failed upgrade attempts will add 1% bonus to success for future attempts.

Champions Road will have boosters available after this update, just like PvP has. Gems will also be usable when resetting Champions Road after you use your one free daily reset. The free daily reset can also be boosted with gems to give your bonus Champions Road Hero pieces. New Quests will also be added with this update, with Stages 15-23 (Normal - Hell) Quests all being opened up. Lastly, the Tower of Magic, the normal Campaign, and the Tower of Tribulation have all had their difficulties tweaked:

- Campaign difficulty decreased to levels 20-22
- Tower of Tribulation floors 89> difficulty re-balanced
- Tower of Magic floors 45> difficulty decreased

That is pretty much it right now regarding the upcoming Dungeon Link update. This is slated to arrive on October 19th. Players can check out all the details for the update over on the Dungeon Link Forums

As one of the popular developers in Japan, Cygames has officially announced the development of
