#1 - Clash For Dawn
This has
hands down been my favorite download. I know I have two RPGs on the
TOP 5 lists, but to be fair, a lot of RPGs have been released lately. This is the best Elder Scrolls clone on the market, minus the card draw mechanic that all mobile RPGs adopted.
Clash for Dawn has the auto attack and auto tracking feature, which alleviates a big piece of the grinding task. I’m going to take a moment, and thank the Devs for allowing such quick multiplayer functionality. Although yes, only about 40% of the game is true multiplayer, it doesn’t distract from the growing community, the seamless gameplay, and the brilliant mobilization of the traditional RPG feel.
Leveling up your four person team, you are able to independently manage each aspect of your characters inventory. Although you may not be able to see the subtle changes, you definitely need to make them, and often. If you dont, you'll find yourself with less than a S rating on a dungeon clear. The arena feature is amazing! I absolutly hate games that auto battle for you, I mean, where is the fun in that. Clash for Dawn lets you choose a manual battle or an automated fight feature, letting the great players separate from the sneebs. Download Clash for Dawn now if want to be at the head of the game, If not, you may to too far behind the rest of the community when it comes to raiding. The only negative thing I have to say about the game, I the poor storyline, and even worse voice overs. It sounds like a kid in his kitchen, trying to speak with a horrible accent.
#2 - Dead Effect 2
This is by far the best Zombie shooter on mobile. From the graphics to the soundtrack, sound effects to the gameplay, this game truly stands above the rest. This is the most comparable FPS that I have found on mobile to a true FPS. You know when you download those games that focus mostly on leveling weapons, or maybe sniping from different locations. The Dead Effect brand, does none of that!
Putting you directly in the game, surrounded by a dead world, I wouldn’t play this game with the lights off. I never the guy to follow the stry line, since I feel like i'd never do the stupid things the Main character does, but listening to story pass in this game is a must. Here is where we gamers have a few issues. The first Dead Effect is still a great game, yet
Dead Effect 2 had a little lag and a few bugs you devs need to work out. You might want to enable more control options, being that controllers don’t map correctly to the game. Lastly, it looks like the prices have risen a bit since your first Dead Effect. This could be the make or break it for your following in the next few weeks.
#3 - Colopl Rune Story
Here is an RPG that’s completely tailored for mobile devices. Vertical gameplay allows a completely different gaming experience. Like most RPGs you get to build your team
(You swap between two characters), PVP, and co op missions.
Warning: There is a lot of repetition, and
NOauto battle feature.
- This makes grinding horrible. The map is set up as a contained squarish game board where you must complete the section to advance on the map. With quick loading times this transistion is pretty clean, the issue occurs when it come to player views. With limited camera control, you are forced to rely on view restricted joystick controls to maneuver around traps and obstacles.
The characters aren’t really that dynamic, in fact, aside from the weapon changes, it’s really hard to tell anyone apart. The fact that you're playing an over the shoulder RPG on your mobile device that mimics Smite gameplay is the catch. Now that I mentioned it, we definitely need more games built with these mechanics, but allowing more diversification. Based on micro transactions like most RPGs, you’ll find that in
Colopl Rune story, you also need to purchase gems to keep up with the pros. Not saying you can’t grind yourself to the top, but... it’s a boring ride if you do.
#4 - Prune
Prune is a love letter to trees. A game about the beauty and joy of cultivation. This is a game for the ones who love beauty, and appreciate a well made game. The object of the game is to prune your tree so that it grows strategically in the light. In the minimalistic world, you use swiping to cut away the trees leaves and branches. With not many controls you are forced to figure out exactly how the developers want you to enjoy their masterpiece.
How did this simple game that you're only going to play for a week make the list you might ask? It may be the fact that it separates itself from most other games by it’s concept alone. It might have been because the soundtrack has been rumored to have players download the game just to listen to the ambience. Or simply, because it’s a featured and highly advertised game.
#5 - Trick Shot
A game where all you have to do is throw a ball into a box, simple?
Trick Shot is a minimalist physics puzzler with
75 levels and an infinite supply of bouncy balls to get that perfect shot. It’s not your average mini-golf game, it’s more of a ball and hole physics based game. Like most ketchapp games, the simplicity is what makes the game fun. Stealing away minutes of your life at a time, this is the perfect game to fill in the gap in between random life tasks. Having no age limit to the player base, and having such a strong brand like ketchapp, I have a feeling they can release anything and get over 10k downloads in a month. This game only makes it to the list beacuse of it's number of odwnlaods, and it's brand.
And that wraps up the TOP 5 Mobile Games - November Edition
