Last time, we reported the Warcraft Movie trading cards will hit the market in conjunction with the movie. Earlier today, a few additional portraits of characters have been spotted by an eagle-eyed gamer. These portrait cards are all with Chinese names and have never been shown before. 

There is an exhibition of Warcraft movie in Chengdu these days, so we have reasons to believe that those character description cards might be used as the brief introduction to audience who are not familiar with Warcraft.

Recently, Civilization Online released the Modern Times, the final times in Korea. Concurrently, it released a combat demo trailer showcasing featured vehicle, armored helicopter and warship.

From the trailer, we are aware of that the vehicle in Civilization Online has skill setting. As summarized, the combat experience could be the simple version of World of Warships‎ and War Thunder.

Hearthstone players should be familiar with the control warrior deck, also nicknamed "wallet warrior" because this deck requires a lot of rare and expensive cards. Recently redditor "cube_man99" made a customed true "warrior wallet" for his friend and I should say this is a simple but awesome gift!



Opening the wallet, there's a golden Garrosh portrait with 30 HP and 99 armor plus six warrior spells/weapons in the card slots.





Instead of real money, the "dollars" inside the wallet is actually Hearthstone mana bills. You can see many legendary minions that we've seen in the control warrior deck and the value of the dollar is depends on the mana cost.

Webzen announced that they will team up with QiHu 360 to develop the mobile version of SUN (Soul of the Ultimate Nation) and plan to release it in 2016.



Soul of the Ultimate Nation (often abbreviated as S.U.N.) was a fantasy-based massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) produced by Webzen, a Korean-based company. It is operated in Korea by Webzen and in mainland China by The9. 



Soul of the Ultimate Nation mobile version is the second mobile game adapted under the title of Mu Online. The first mobile game is Mu Miracle. On the other hand, QiHu 360 owns 3 Korean games, namely, CF2, Civilization Online and Soul of the Ultimate Nation mobile version. 



Like some other MMORPGs, S.U.N. utilizes the "hack and slash" way. Players are part of a rebel group known as "The Guidance". Items can be strengthened and upgraded throughout the game play of SUN. For large-scale combat such as siege warfare, Soul of the Ultimate Nation utilizes a combat map with partitions that divides players into multiple fields each containing 20-40 characters; the outcome each battle having direct effects on the combat occurring on other fields.

Will the mobile games maintain the gameplay of its MMO? We are going to focus on the title.

Crusaders Quest,  the match-3 RPG has recently received a major update. This will be the last update to the game before the year ends, and brings a lot of new content. Log into the game and check out all the new additions. It will give players plenty to play through over the holiday break.



The latest update to Crusaders Quest brings a new episode of story content, 38 unique heroes to recruit, 6 never before seen soulbound weapons to equip, and another powerful Goddess to ally yourself with. In addition to this new update, Crusaders Quest has been selected as an Editor’s Choice on Google Play.

The new episode for Crusaders Quest is the sixth in the campaign and it’s called “Battlefield.” In this latest chapter of the story, crusaders will fight against the evil Imperial Neth Empire. Players can fight their way through 60 new stages of story driven gameplay.



A massive 38 heroes have been added to the game. This adds even more variety to the pool of heroes for players to collect and level up. These new additions include two 4-6 star Premium Heroes, a warrior named Lionel and a paladin called Athena.

Visit the Fortress of Souls to find 6 new soulbound weapons to increase player’s power. These new weapons are for the following characters: Isabel, V, Magnus, Wilhelm, Necron, and Dara. Battle your way through the Fortress of Souls to find the new soulbound weapons and equip them to your heroes.
Cronos is the latest Goddess to be added to the Crusaders Quest roster. She has the ability to slow down time. Her Goddess power can also recharge heroes skills, both of which can be used at strategic times to get the upper hand in battle.

With this latest update players can now increase their heroes’ level from the previous cap of 60 to 70. You’ll also get more free meat when you level up.

Tree of Savior started open beta in South Korea early this month but it seemed that it had a trouble recently. Several posts at ToS' Reddit page indicated that Korean players were not happy about the new cash shop items, specifically the EXP books.
 
Since ToS is highly replying on grinding to progress and the grinding is not easy, selling EXP at cash shop likely bread P2W. The image below was taken today as the demonstration was happening in the KR server.


 
And this image below gives you a glance at the cash shop.


 
Players use TP (Tree of Savior Points) to make purchase in the cash shop. TP accumulates over time or can be purchased with real money.

* TP accumulation: once your TP is less than 5 you'll gain 1 TP every 2 hours whether you're online or offline (but if you are offline your TP will recover up to 5)
 
Players aren't able to purchase TP with real money until commercial launch so they can only get free TP everyday. Apparently the protest is also aiming at the potential game balance breaking model in the future.

Neowiz Games is planning to hold a BLESS Open Beta Explanation Session on January 15th at COEX in Korea. At the Open Beta Explanation Session, Neowiz Games will unveil the open beta schedule, various game information, BLESS' core value and update direction in the future.

Scheduled to enter open beta in the first half of 2016, BLESS features customization system, targeting/non-targeting option, 2 opposite fictions and RXR contents. In addition, 45 level contents including two new classes-assassin and mage, and collection and manufacture system will be unveiled.

There was a similar test done on the Black Desert Russian version before and recently there was another test on the Korean version. The test platform is a rig with Intel Core i7-4770K 4.5GHz CPU, an 8GB DDR3-2133 RAM and Windows 7 Ultimate (64Bit) system.
 
If your PC has similar specs, congratulations the result below will be very helpful to you (although the test is done on KR version, it won't be very different on the NA version). And if your computer specs are very different to the test machine, you may still be able to predict how well this game will run on your PC.

Tree of Savior's Korean version is in big troubles and the game is plagued by bugs after entering commercial phase on December 29. Issues such as cash shop purchase can't be completed and EXP boost item disappear have caused lots of complaint. What's worse, the expensive item price, the removal of trading between players, and the fact that players need to pay TP (Tree of Savior points) to use the auction house lead to a protest in the game yesterday. You can read the article here if you missed it.
 


TP is the currency used to make purchase in cash shop and get access to trade functions. According to Steparu, the conversion is:

200TP = 19,600 KRW = 17 USD
300TP = 29,400 KRW = 25 USD
 
The image below shows the hairstyles are worth $17 to $30. On the other hand, report says that players need to pay $20 to access the auction house while they need to pay 2 TP for each item you put into the auction house. Is that too greedy?
 

 
Korean game website inven reports that imcGames has responded and confirmed a patch will be deployed on December 30 to fix the bugs. However they don't mention whether there will be adjustment on the cash shop and auction house price.

KOG, the developer behind Elsword, announce the second closed beta test for its self-developed Ultimate Race(Official Website: http://ur.kog.co.kr). The CBT starts from January 13th to January 17th. The official provides players with many channels, including homepage, SNS and forum, to apply for the CBT.

The Medieval MMORPG Life is Feudal: Your Own has been updated with a new patch including many bug fixes, new content, new weather effects along with ”White Standers”. Among all these changes, the weather effect is the most impressive. 



Implemented advanced weather effects including wind affecting trees. Each season will have a certain set of different weather types and each weather type affects the growth rates of trees, cattle and farm harvesting yields. Piles of snow are now randomly created in the world during snowy weather, and they will melt away when it’s warm. Thanks to the power of CryEngine 3, Tencent's Monster Hunter Online actually has a much better graphics if you compared it with other Monster Hunter games. But still, Tencent has made a ultra HD texture pack for those players who want to have the best visual experiences when playing MHO. However, the HD pack is 9.9 GB, even larger than the game itself (5.48GB). I guess many of you were wondering how exactly the HD pack looks like and the differences between the standard graphics and the HD. Well, for how it looks like with HD pack, you guys can check out Steparu's gameplay video after the break.



First of all, a simple picture about the graphic differences:



For the differences between the standard graphics and the HD, check out those screenshots comparison made by a Chinese MHO player. He tried his best to take those screenshots in the same scene. The screenshot above is the standard graphic and the screenshot below is the HD one.



Well, it makes no great differences to me. Only the texture in the stone looks more exquisite.



No big differences at the first glance but if you check the wood's texture in the 2nd picture, it has been enhanced.
 

 

In my opinion, the difference between the standard graphics and the HD is not much. If you want to install the HD pack, you need to have a good enough computer with a powerful graphic card. If you already patches the HD pack, you better have your game resolution ratio set at 1080P.

Note: this is the downloader for the pack. There are 2 links for the same downloader, and the difference is the 1st link is for normal user, and the 2nd is for Tencent VIP user (so you get faster download speed I guess). So just choose the 1st one to download.

Battlestate Games has just launched the pre-order program for its visually stunning shooter game Escape From Tarkov. Prices range from the Standard Edition for $44.99 through the Edge of Darkness Edition for $139.99. Each includes beta access and a variety of in-game bonuses. Therefore it also confirmed that Escape From Tarkov will use Buy-to-Play business model.



Escape from Tarkov is the hardcore and realistic online first-person action RPG with MMO features and story-driven walkthrough. The first closed beta will get underway in the first quarter of 2016 and they're aiming for a second quarter release in 2016 for the full version of the game.
