Terry, CEO of Tower of Saviors Developer- Madhead announced that they will release a new next-gen Match-3 RPG titled ChronosGate in 2016 worldwide. Now they officially released the facebook page of ChronosGate.
 

From the official description, ChronosGate’s slogan is “Pass through the ChronosGate, Remodel the World Order ”. The gameplay of ChronosGate mixes RPG with Match-3, players can explore ChronosGate and break through the evolution.

ChronosGate is going to be released in 2016 and players who are interested can stay stunned.

Age of the Four Clans is a2D Dinosaur MMO from EVOLV that has just released on January 1st to its Patreon and Donation early adopters. As such, the Patreon page has been updated with new rewards for backers, current backer donations have been cleared, and they dev will open the doors to the next round of Alpha testers on February 1st.


 

It's been an eventful time, already. We have mostly been testing game capacity, mucking about with errors and just taking suggestions in general. The dev team has been concentrating on working out glaring issues and adding content - that means we're throwing enjoyable and engaging quests in, adding equipment and mapping. We also want to continue to work toward an ultimate goal of having an OPEN Alpha and subsequent open Beta by spring. 

Here's the schedule breakdown:

•January 1, 2016: Limited Alpha for early adopters and donators
•February 1, 2016: Extended Limited Alpha for donators and forum members of the Eclipse Origins website.
•March 1, 2016: Open Alpha
•~June 1, 2016: Limited Beta
•~July 1, 2016: Open Beta

A Japanese guy named Wanikun left his Super Nintendo on for 20 years to keep his gamesave alive.

Super Nintendo cartridges have the means of preserving gamesaves (so did NES cartridges, but that's beside the point here). 

The problem is some did so with the help of a battery inside the cartridge, and batteries die. That's what happened inside Twitter user Wanikun's copy of Umihara Kawase, a Japan-only release from 1994. Wanikun tweeted about it back in September but it was noticed by several gaming publications this week.



Wanikun would not accept that these memories of the life he led in this video game would be lost in time, like tears in rain. So he kept the game plugged into his Super Famicom (as it was called in Japan) to preserve his game save. He estimated that his console was kept in operation for more than 180,000 hours. (That was back in September, by the way.)

That's dedication. Modern consoles like the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have background modes that, technically, keep them powered on for days and months on end but still, 20 freaking years for a 16-bit console is a bit extreme.

What's the oldest gamesave you have? Note: the code for Super Macho Man in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! does not count, unless you still have it written down on a piece of notebook paper from 1988.

Taiwan-based Lager Network Technologies announced its publishing right of La Lune: Moonlight Bandits in Taiwan and recently unveiled a teaser site for this game.

From the teaser site, we could preview a lot of interesting features, including players' favorite fashion, various mounts, and pets and so on. Last week, we reported that employees of Red 5 Studios not being paid on schedule before Christmas, and the situation was resolved on December 30th. In China, Firefall entered Open Beta in November 2015. To celebrate this, the CEO of The9 Zhu Jun gave out $1.5 million worth of "Red Envelope" to players. Red Envelope is a monetary gift which is given during holidays or special occasions in China. It's very popular in China and it can redeem the real world cash.



Once hit level 11, Players were available to claim Red Envelope in game, and The9 also chose three lucky winners to give 1000 RMB(~$153) on each day. This event ended on 28 November, 2015. Wizard Online, developed specially for HTC Vive (Steam VR) and Oculus Rift, is the first ever open world MMORPG that is going to launch this year.



Powered with Unreal Engine 4, Wizard Online looks like a darkly-colored Harry Potter meets World of Warcraft MMORPG. It will support DirectX 12 and if it managed to release before Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV, it will be the first game to do so.



Judged from the graphics, Wizard Online looks like a darkly-colored Harry Potter meets World of Warcraft and adds an amount of hand gesturing in the game. Players will have a "Gandalf" style of fighting with one hand wielding a spell-casting staff and the other hand holding a sword. You can even defeat, capture and train a dragon as your mount.



Also, players are expected to see many ancient deities, such as Satan and Baphomet as well as others, running around in the game world and looking for players. If you can defeat one of them, it will reward you with a "satanic mount". Sounds cool, huh?



Though Wizard Online is developed for Virtual Reality devices, it can still be played in PC, Xbox One and PS4. The first in-game trailer will be released in a couple of days but you can check out more info on Wizard Online's Facebook page or the official homepage.

Have you ever imaged that you can live on some famous World of Warcraft’s places in real life? Here is your chance. If you move to Canada, you could live on a street named Silvermmon, Stormwind, Ashenvale and more. A subdivision in a suburb of Canada has several streets named after places from World of Warcraft. You can find this little town on Google Maps.



According to Venturebeat, the company that built the subdivisions named the streets, and it’s likely that the developer working for it was a big fan of World of Warcraft.

You must have seen many Black Desert's graphics tests on different versions. Today a test based on the Korean version hits the internet. The test is done on a PC with Intel Core i5 6600 3.30 GHz, 8GB RAM, and GTX 970 GPU. The resolution is 1600 x 900 by the way.
 

 
The FPS goes from 40 to 60 and generally it stays steady at around 50 when the character is doing pure exploration. When the character is swinging his sword and skill effects display, the fps dips. So you may wonder if there's similar test on the NA/EU version. You can see the video below which do a comparison between Very High and High-End Mode.

Sandbox MMORPG Shroud of the Avatar's Release 26 will bring lots of neat information on January 28, including Resolute visuals, North Varisalla Foothills, Clockwork Pets and more. The developer Portalarium shows some work-in-progress images and you can read the full update on Shroud of the Avatar site.

Divergence Online, the sci-fi sandbox MMORPG, is going to go on sale on Steam via early access at any time now. Considered by developers to be the "spiritual successor to Star Wars: Galaxies", Divergence Online has been through threecrowdfunding campaigns and eightyears of development and now it is almost finally here. The develop team also released a new trailer about the steam early access.



Divergence: Online has a world map that covers 250 kilometers' lands and an advanced voxel-based construction system. The game is hardcore MMO with limited perma-death (depending on location and species) and open PvP (the game uses a megaserver but there will be another PVE server with consensual PVP though). Besides, you have huge freedom on character progression as you can be over 40 different combative and non-combative path careers. You don't have to kill to progress if you prefer diplomatic way, and you don't need to be a soldier if you like crafting - every career is supposed to have a place in the world.



Divergence Online is going with a one-time payment model at $40 but discounted to $30 during its launch week.

Netease, the leading game developer and publisher in China, has gone from strength to strength in 2015. The stock price of the company, listed on NASDAQ, rose by 80% in the past year, and in the latest IBD 50 Index, NetEase was ranked as #1 performer. The index also featured other notable Internet related stocks such as Facebook, which was listed at No. 7.
 
(Note: the IBD 50 targets companies generating outstanding profit growth, big sales increases, wide profit margins and high return on equity.)



Originally as one of the first Internet companies in China, NetEase has now grown into an international corporation which boasted over $1 billion USD in revenues in Q3 2015, of which 78% derived from games. The IBD 50 commented in their latest ranking that the company was "moving from heavy focus on PC games to mobile gaming", and in fact NetEase has scored some major mobile gaming successes in 2015.
 
Firstly, in the Hong Kong and Taiwan regions, the fantasy style adventure game Lunar Flowers was named the iPad Game of the Year in 2015 and Battle to the West II was awarded Google Play's Best Game of 2015. These and other major mobile game achievements by NetEase were highlighted in App Annie's Global Mobile Game Index in November. With Fantasy Westward Journey and Journey to the West's phenomenal domination of the iOS top grossing charts in China, NetEase Games crowned the global iOS top grossing companies chart for the first time. Most notably, Fantasy Westward Journey surpassed Clash of Clans and took the second place in the global iOS top grossing games.

Korean game developer Reku released a new real-time RPG titled T.O.P (판게아의 용병) in Korea in January.

In T.O.P, players take a role of one of the characters from Archer and Elf and so on. And players fight against the dark knight. To be more specific, the greatest fun in the game is the skill system which brings different kind of debuff to strike enemies. By forge different chasing scroll, players can enjoy more than hundreds of special skills.

Ultima Online inspired MMORPG Linkrealms has announced the starting day of the next testing phase, labeled "Winter Beta" and the schedule for Steam Early Access. From the 9th of January, all registered users with a Beta Key and all purchasers of a Founder Pack will be able to play Linkrealms continuously for at least 3 weeks.


 
Steam Early Access

The developer Mythyn Interactive has confirmed that the team is actively working on the integration of Linkrealms with Steam, and that launch on Early Access has been scheduled for March 2016. Players with a Founder Pack will be able to play Linkrealms on Steam Early Access, without the need to pay any additional fee.


 
The Winter Beta
 
In an effort to expand the variety of tasks craftsmen can carry out, the developers have introduced the new Contract System, through which players can receive orders for clothing and weapons from vendor NPCs. Completing such tasks will reward the crafter with a special currency that can be traded with Corporation Guildmasters for unique rewards.
 
Support for multiple characters has been implemented, and every player is now able to create up to 5 different characters per account. The whole login interface has been revamped for the occasion.
 
Furthermore, the balancing of all creatures in the game has been completed in order to provide users with an adequate challenge at all stages of progression for their characters.

On January 4th, Black Desert (KR) updated the 6th information about awakening weapon. This time, Geum Soo Rang is the heroine to showcase this new set of awakening weapon, including long sword and shield. So far, the Valkyrie awakening weapon Rensia (working title) of female warrior, the guardian angel of Black Desert's battlefield, has been unveiled.

Titan Siege, an MMORPG developed by Chinese studio Storm Totem and published by Gamesco, entered into open beta in the last day of 2015, like completely quietly. In fact, the game started closed beta about 3 weeks ago but we didn't see much exposure about Titan Siege in the gaming websites. Anyway, the open beta is here and both NA and EU servers are available now.


Not much info is there in the Titan Siege official website, which is kinda weird for a game that is in open beta. Apparently, Gamesco didn't advertise it. There is only a reddit post made by someone from Titan Siege team, answering users' doubt, stating the game is just in open beta and they will keep improving it. He also boasts that the "PvP Siege engine and battles which can have 2000 players involved at once" is what makes Titan Siege shining.

Rogue may be one of the weakest classes in Hearthstone right now, and building a competitive Rogue deck on a budget is especially challenging. I'm here to help with a powerful deck that remains cheap to craft for new players with the League of Explorers Adventure. 

The LoE Budget Deathrattle Rogue is a unique and interesting midrange deck that's pack with tons of value. It's all deathrattle minions, meaning you'll have a consistent board that's difficult for opponents, which sets up your combo damage spells and buffs perfectly. This deck won't take you to legend, but it could carry you past rank 15 with ease. In the video below, I discuss the deck in detail and take it out for a spin with a few games to learn mulligans and lines of play.
