Black Desert's community manager Jouska has posted a poll on the forum asking for players' opinions regarding server configuration for the NA and EU version. There are several options the team is considering: standard servers, each of which has multiple channels, a megaserver for each region, and servers with dynamic channels.

We know what standard servers and megaservers are, but what are dynamic channels? "This is a concept to allow for additional channels that are turned on and off automatically as needed to facilitate the players online," CM Jouska says.

"As an example let's say that there are 5 channels; each channel is at 80% capacity. When this happens an additional channel is activated, and once the total population online falls below the threshold the additional channels are closed and players still in it/them are relocated to a remaining channel (along with any workers in the channel with them)."

The Elder Scrolls Online will get its first DLC called Thieves Guild in 2016 in March (for PC and Xbox One). The developer Zenimax Online Studios provides an early look at the locations of the new patch. You'll explore the new region Hew's Bane located in southern Hammerfell Province.

Assemble your crew and get ready for battle as One Piece: Burning Blood is launching in the Americas on May 31, 2016 (fans in Brazil will join the battle on June 3, 2016) for the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita handheld system. One Piece: Burning Blood will also be releasing on PC via Steam in June 2016.

In addition to this announcement, we are also excited to reveal new playable characters that will be joining the cast and “Paramount War” mode. In this story mode, players can relive the excitement and drama of the Marineford Arc from the anime and manga series.

Hands-on Preview of Mobile MMORPG MU: Origin

In last January, Webzen announced that their mobile MMORPG called MU: Origin kicked off closed beta test on the 25th of January. Well the first closed beta ended very early this morning. Let us go hands on with the upcoming Western version of MU: Origin.

If you're not familiar with this franchise, MU: Origin actually started life as a PC-based MMORPG simply called MU Online (2003), which has done quite well for itself. From there the PC version has had multiple updates, and eventually there was a mobile version of the PC game release in the Asian regions called MU: Origin. After plenty of localization work, we are now looking at a Western release.

This franchise features an interesting leveling system which was also brought over into the mobile version. Every 100 levels your character gains is considered their 'Rebirth'. So your first 100 levels is actually labeled as Rebirth0 Leveler 87 for example. After you pass the 100 level mark in Rebirth0, you'll move into ReBirth1. This goes for every 100 your character levels up. From what I saw, there will be Rebirth0-Rebirth9 available when MU: Origin launches. Essentially this translated into 999 levels for your character to level up to start with.

There's three classes available when you start: Elf (Archer), Dark Knight, and Dark Wizard. All of these are pretty self-explanatory. There's gear and weapons specific for each class, all of which have multiple tiers and grades. You have your standard grading system, which is Normal, Magic, Rare, Epic, and Legendary. Then you have your Tiers (1-9 and higher). Tiers are essentially the level equivalent to the area you're leveling up in. So if you are Rebirth2 Level 88, the gear you'll be using will be in the Tier 3-4 range.

On top of that, you have a number of ways to enhance your armor and weapons. This includes Refining it, Seed Enhance, Option Enhance, and so on. All of these just enhance or add additional stats to your weapon and armor. Other ways to strengthen your character includes leveling up your zodiac symbols, earning different titles through various activities such as PvP, dungeon clearing and so on. In other words there is a hell of a lot to do when it comes to your character alone.

This is an open world MMORPG, although the 'world' is divided up into zones. You can't access zones that are higher than your current Rebirth level. Same goes with story dungeons. Story dungeons are just like they sound, dungeons that you clear solo that are part of the questline you're doing. There are also Party Dungeons which are for groups to go into. Outside of dungeons, players have a lot of quests to do, World Bosses to deal with, and open world PvP as well.

In other words, this is a full-sized MMORPG that comes with a lot, if not all, of the content that the non-Western version has, and it doesn't stray too far at all from the original PC title. There is even a proper Auction House system in this game. Since this is was a closed beta, there will more than likely be some tweaks that happen before the full launch occurs. We may see an open beta pretty quickly as the game was pretty much done with very little in the way of bugs. In fact I didn't run into any at all myself.

It is a free-to-play MMORPG just like its brethren. The closed beta didn't have the in-game store active so we can really comment on what was available, besides in-game currency. Mobile doesn't have a lot of options when it comes to a true MMORPG, but as MU: Origin stands right now, this is probably in the Top 3 out there for mobile gamers, with titles like Age of Wushu Dynasty and Forsaken World Mobile giving MU: Origin its only real competition. Of course this is based off of a short closed beta period so like I mentioned earlier, we will keep final judgement for the full launch.

Warcraft UK has just posted a Facebook to announce that Warcraft movie will hit the big screen on May 30 in the UK, which is 11 days before the premiere in US. However UK is not the world premiere region. Taking a look at the release schedule on IMDB, many countries will be privy to the movie long before the US. Countries like Azerbaijan, Belarus, German, France, Denmark, Netherlands, and Russia are all schedule to see a release on the weekend of the 26th.

Coincidentally, May 30th is the birthday of Duncan Jones who is the director of the movie. I think this is the best birthday gift for him. gumi Inc. is releasing two new characters in the global version of Brave Frontier in time for Valentine’s Day: the former inquisitors Randolph and Ravenna. The two star-crossed lovers, on their tragic wedding day, awoke wounded and their beloved slain. With their memories tainted with tragedy, the two venture out in Grand Gaia on their own in their quest for vengeance.

Both Randolph and Ravenna are offense-heavy warriors and have extra skills if they appear on the same squad together. The couple will be available at the Summoning Gate from February 12 to February 17.

In a collaborative effort between gumi Inc. and COLOPL NI, Inc., players experience a Colopl Rune Story and Brave Frontier collaboration event. Fans are able to acquire fan favorite mage Mira by logging into Brave Frontier five times or more running from January 30 until February 8.

Mira is a nun devoted to evangelism and on the lookout for new followers. Known as the ‘Sister of Beansprouts,’ she is skilled in the art of healing and the calling of lightning. Players can use this spellbinding sorceress in their squad as a healer and an offensive support unit.

Finally, the festive event Prosperity Brawl is available from February 7 until February 13. Players can fight beasts including as the Lubradine, the Auspicious Dragon, and the Auspicious Phoenix to earn valuable loot and drops for powering up their squads.

Crossover features also continue in Colopl Rune Story, where players will receive two Brave Frontier Characters, Scarlet Hood Ciara and Frolic Emperor Kira, completely free. A new online co-op quest themed after Brave Frontier will also go live with the event.

According to Eurogamer, Xbox Italy's official Facebook page said Tom Clancy's The Division will start open beta on February 16 and last for 5 days. Despite the information it's from Xbox, Ubisoft hasn't announced anything regarding open beta, so things could still change.

We all believe there will be an open beta for The Division before the final launch, to let people try the game before they can make a decision. Ubisoft's previous MMO The Crew had an open beta before launch so it makes sense that The Division will also have one.

Blizzard Entertainment is overhauling some major features to Free-to-Play digital card game Hearthstone. The Play mode will be divided into two different formats: Wild, the same Hearthstone mode we have played since its release in 2014 and a brand-new Standard Mode which requires players to use cards from Basic/Classic packs and expansion cards released in the current and previous calendar year. The first Standard Mode year is named "The Year of the Kraken", and it will start along with Spring 2016’s Expansion. The Curse of Naxxramas and Goblins vs Gnomes expansions will not be able to be used in the new Standard Mode. Besides, the Stardard mode is available as a format in Friendly Challenges, Ranked, and Casual play, so it won’t affect Arena, Solo play, or Adventures. You can check out all allowed sets below.

Rankings play a major part to the competitive scene, and the new changes would bring a new ranking, one for Standard and one for Wild Mode. While you are able to reach Legend in both modes, you will only be rewarded for your highest mode so players can pick a preference without penalty.

To help player better transition to the new formats, Blizzard will also add 9 more slots for deck so they can start experimenting for both Standard and Wild modes. Besides, card sets that aren’t part of Standard format won’t be available for purchase from the in-game Shop, but players will be able to craft any of those cards using Arcane Dust, including cards from Adventures that previously could not be disenchanted or crafted.

Moonwater Plains

Drops: Lycan weapons required for breakthrough Awakened Infernal weapons Stage 5, Wolfskin Costume/tailfeather, Lycan’s Sorrow, and Lycan Soul shield 3/5/8 set.
Cat Costumes: Mobs near the Lycan area (typically Foothills Brawler/Incantor) drop the Heimeow costume, Shady Cat Adornment and Headgear.
