Lords Mobile

Gameplay
There are two parts to battle in Lords Mobile.
War
This is when you are tasked to destroy the enemies wall, and defeat the main forces. Although this part is autoplay, completing this task depends on how well you leveled your army. With the vast number of troops you have at your disposal, defeating the enemy warrants some time to strategically plan your offence.

Questing
You are now zoomed in close to battle and have a chance to use your heroes to their full potential. No longer auto battle, each hero has a power that charges while in combat. Each hero has a different ability that you need to exploit if you plan on progressing. Although is doesn’t seem to have any rock-paper-scissors mentality, hero choice does play a huge role in achieving victory.

Value
The waiting game is real in Lords Mobile. Collecting Food, Stone, Timber and Ore is your main off line objective. As your standard strategy RPG, which building you level determines the speed of mining. Your stamina (energy) is larger than most games, but the wait on gameplay is still annoying at times. You do have the option for: Pay-to-Win in Lords: Mobile, so watch out if you’re intending to playing this game competitively. The grind isn’t bad, being that most of the gameplay is auto-battle. That makes for quick grinding and looting with minimal attention, but I am already bored with the gameplay. I can see this game working for people with little time, or new to strategy games. Definitely not my cup of tea, with the limited unit control and even less reaction skill use.

Multiplayer
Lords Mobile was built to be a multiplayer game. With the game being 60% auto battle, I can see the Mobile Strike following coming over to this game. With basically the same concept - build your base and attack the enemy - the learning curve is short. The leaderboards are already filling up with Pay-to-Wins, and the matchmaking system is pretty generic. You just have to find someone with a similar level next to you, and attack them. If you have leveled your troops and base like the tutorial showed you, you will do fine. But since there really isn't any special questing or items, the hype for this game won't last very long.

Creativity
This game doesn't break the meta when it come to creativity. Aside from the slight deviation from the first mobile RPGs, it seems this new TapRPG genre is settling into their final form. The battle and music are nothing compared some some other newly released games, but what Lords: Mobile does offer is a great multiplayer atmosphere with a low learning curve. But again, since it’s Pay-to-Win I don’t recommend this game to anyone.
