Earlier today at the Nexon Developers Conference, Nexon has just announced that they are making a mobile version of Final Fantasy XI with the franchise owner Square Enix. The game titled Final Fantasy XI Reboot and is scheduled to be released in 2016, but no words on whether this game will come to US and EU.
Powered by Unreal Engine 4, Final Fantasy XI Reboot will be a MMORPG that promises to leverage original version’s "compelling storyline, engaging content and impressive graphics while optimizing features for smartphone and mobile devices to create an immersive, responsive and dynamic experience for mobile users." These optimizations will include "improving party organizing systems, enriching solo-play functionality, improving battle functionality and enhancing in-game events and features."
