China's game developer, Tciplay, had obtained many popular games license from KOEI such as Dynasty Warriors 6, Daikoukai Jidai IV and also Dead or Alive 5. Recently, Tciplay officially announced that they are working on an upcoming Dead or Alive 5 mobile game which is powered by Unity Engine.
Dead or Alive 5 mobile version will combined both combat styles with RPG element, with emphasis on the appealing combat style to attract more new players into the game. According to the developers, they have made numerous efforts to retain the originality of the game as much as possible by strictly controlling the development path.
KOEI’s Dead or Alive 5 had previously received quite a rating of 8.8 from IGN, which makes us wonder how its mobile version counterpart will fare when it is released. But judged from the screenshots we got, it may not be what you are expecting.

Developers have also mentioned that Dead or Alive 5 mobile version has 4 main play styles with Formation play style and Sure Kill play style inside. Whether it is the graphical effects or the strategy design, they have all been carefully selected to be able to satisfy both the original creator and the players.
The game will release a beta version as soon as August in China. However, as the developer didn’t obtain the license of Dead or Alive: Xtreme 3, so don’t expect too much fanservice in Dead or Alive 5 mobile version.
