Danish developer Campfire Games has just announced that its new CRYENGINE-powered historical FPS War of Rights is now seeking funding on Kickstarter. War of Rights is a multiplayer game set during the perilous days of the American Civil War, in the Maryland Campaign of September, 1862.
Players in the game will be able to play on multiple battlefields of the campaign, and Campfire Games is currently creating four maps: Harper’s Ferry, South Mountain, Antietam and Shepherdstown. Players may choose from a list of regiments that fought in each battle, and also whether they want to play as a lowly private or as Major General.

Campfire Games is focusing on creating a group-based game with real Napoleonic-era tactics combined with the deadly accuracy of the "newer" weapons available in the period of the Civil War. Uniforms, equipment, artillery, houses, fields, and the locales are all portrayed as faithful as possible to the period we're showcasing in the game.
