NEXON: Open World MMORPG Durango to Start the 2nd Limited Beta Test on March 30

NEXON announced that creative open world MMORPG Durango(Official Website: http://durango.nexon.com/), developed by What! Studio, will kick off the second limited beta test on March 30th and end on on April 5th.

The second limited beta test will provide players with deeper gameplay contents including battle, building and others. Besides, players are able to meet further improved contents and systems basing on suggestions submitted by users who attended the first closed beta test. This beta test are playable on android devices and iOS devices.

How to Link Your Clash Royale Profile to Andorid Device

Clash Royale is a real-time multiplayer card game which shares the same story background withClash of Clans. The core game play is laning and pushing and the elements of the MOBA and CCG genres also exist. Clash Royale will launch worldwide on Android at the same time as iOS in March. Many people have both iOS and Android devices, and may want to transfer their Clash Royale account from one device type to the other. The following tutorial will show you how to do this successfully.

1. Logging in- Log in to Google+ on your Android device. Log in to Game Center on your iOS device. If both devices are not logged in, the transfer will not work.

2. Opening the app- On both devices, tap the Clash Royale icon to open the app.

3. Settings- Open Settings on both devices.


4.  Linking (old)- On the device you want to move your account from, tap Link a Device. Tap to confirm that the device is the old one. Write down the code that is received.



5. Linking (new)- Tap Link Device on the device you are transferring to. Tap to confirm that the device is the new one. Enter the code received on the old device. Important!- DO NOT use the space bar when entering the code. Once these steps have been completed, the base account will be on the device you were transferring to. However, your game can be played on both devices.

Master X Master First Global Test Coming on March 9

Earlier this month, we reported that NCsoft is planning to begin beta testing for its MOBA title - Master X Master in mid-March, 2016 with Lineage Eternal beta set in April. Today they announced that the first global test for Master X Master in Japan, Korea and Taiwan will kick off on March 9th and end on March 22nd (testing hours here). Beta test sign up opens from February 17th to March 1st.



Since it is called the "global test" (although not that "global"), maybe players can compete with players from Taiwan, Korea and Japan? Well, sounds fun if it is true. For the western version of Master X Master (official website: http://www.playmxm.com/), NCsoft announced back in January that the game will meet western players in the 2nd half of 2016.


MXM is an Action MOBA featuring high-completeness new combat modes "Speed Combat" and "Exciting Beating Feel". With a unique Tag System, MXM enables players to quickly swap between two chosen Masters (characters) mid-combat. The storyline of MXM is about alien invade the earth and human beings raise up to protect their hometown. Players play the role of Master who owns various powers and join in the battle to protect the earth. According to the different environment, players are able to switch their attack style freely.

imcGames is bringing out a series of events for Tree of Savior (KR) from February 18 - March 10, aiming at new and returned players with item rewards, in-game challenges, and EXP boosts. Watch the Refresh trailer below and see the event details below.
 

 
Event 1
New players and inactive players after since February 3, 2016 will receive EXP cards, potions, and supply chests, etc., based on the character level. For instance, lvl 15+ players will get lvl 3 EXP cards, potions, and lvl 45 supply chest, while lvl 45+ characters will get lvl 4 EXP cards, EXP books, and lvl 60 supply chest. 
 
Event 2
Kill mobs to collect 10 alphabets. You can purchase from NPC a red chest with a "TREE", or an orange chest with 5 "TREE"s.

You can purchase a blue chest with a "SAVIOR" or a green chest with 5 "SAVIOR"s
If you have the alphabets that can complete the word "TREE OF SAVIOR", you can get a golden chest. 
 
Event 3
During the event time, players will get +50% EXP boost for 6 hours everyday. If they play TOS at internet café, they get +110% EXP boost instead.

Battle of Balls Gets 7.5 Million Daily Players, Bringing out Trendy Gaming

A few days ago, Superpop Studios' casual mobile game Battle of Balls announced its daily active users (DAU) during the Chinese Spring Festival broke 7.5 million. In 2015, this cute mobile game has been the representative of rapid rise and outperformance. Since the DAU of the game broke 250 thousand in last August, the growth had been in a crazy pace. The DAU reached one million within three months and 5.5 million in January, 2016. In the following month, it surpassed 7.5 million.



It has become a successful example in the mobile gaming market. Many think the success of  Battle of Balls should give the credit to the recovery of casual gaming market. However, the independent studio never wants their game to be refered to Casual. They use the term "Trendy Gaming" which catches the attention of the industries.


 
What is Trendy Gaming: A Perfect Combination of Leisure and Confrontation?
Without too much marketing, Battle of Balls achieved its success mainly through the word-of-mouth effect. The term "Trendy Gaming" emerges at the right time, which interprets the special gameplay experience. It includes two layers of meaning:

Game Connection America 2016's Development Awards Nominees Revealed

Game Connection unveiled the list of yet unsigned or highly original game projects nominated for the prestigious Development Awards 2015 – formerly known as "Game Connection Selected Projects". Out of more than 170 applicants for 10 categories, the jury had a hard choice picking the nominees. The Development Awards will take place Tuesday, March 3rd at 10:00 AM at the AMC Theater – METREON.

Twenty-four different game projects from 15 countries are competing for the prizes. Competition will be fierce as for the first time ever, indie teams will square off against projects from large studios such as Square Enix Montreal or Bigpoint. Leading the list of nominations is Canadian Square Enix Montreal with its mobile game Hitman GO, who are up for the award in five of ten categories. Four nominations went to the puzzle adventure PC game Shadow Puppeteer from the Norwegian Sarepta Studio, the Shoot-Em-Up PC game Astebreed published by Japanese Active Gaming Media and upcoming mobile action adventure game Epic of Kings, developed by the US-based studio Dead Mage.

At the Game Development Award ceremony, each of the finalists will be presented to all the publishers, distributors, buyers, and media, providing each studio with a unique opportunity to showcase their project to a large number of potential partners. Previous winners include Loading Human from Untold Games, Contrast from Compulsion Games, Badland from Frogmind, Limbo from PlayDead and Izle from Area Effect, which won three awards at Game Connection Europe last October.

The Game Connection Development Awards 2015 are given out in partnership with Microsoft Studios, Bandai Namco Games, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and Michael Meyers Public Relations. The ceremony will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd at 10.00am at the AMC Theater on the 2nd floor of the Metreon. Nominees and winners will also showcase their projects on the expo floor of Game Connection America on the 5th floor at City View – METREON.

Strategy Card Game Chronicle: RuneScape Legends to Enter Open Beta in March

Famous for RuneScape, Jagex Games Studio today announced that strategy card game Chronicle: RuneScape Legends will enter open beta on PC on Wednesday, March 23.

During the previous 10-week closed beta period, 700,000 games were played. Jagex Games Studio garnered a wealth of player feedback which will now be implemented to enhance and improve player experience. The open beta will see a host of additions including deeper gameplay, new modes, progression, customization and all new Legends joining the earlier content. These will include:

Chronicle: RuneScape Legends

  • Additional Legends: Two new playable Legends will emerge with Venescula the Vampyre entering the fray as Chronicle's fifth playable character, bringing 30+ new cards and a brand new way to play with her – blood will be spilled! The sixth Legend to be introduced is Morvan, the greatest Slayer Master that players can lead through his own monstrous style of questing.
  • Dungeoneering: A new mode that tasks players with creating a drafted deck and battling their way through ever increasing PvP challenges. Draft your way to victory in a quest for Coins, Gem Shards and Platinum.
  • Skilling: Core to the wider RuneScape experience is Skilling, and Chronicle will continue that legacy by introducing its own system. Every action performed in Chronicle will grant experience points in one of the game's skills, which will then lead to some juicy customization unlocks.
  • Legend Customization: Players will finally be able to make their Legend their own with Chronicle's first collection of skins, which are earned by leveling up a Legend, or unlocking them within the Chronicle Store. With the resulting outfits, players will be able to customize their Legend and face their rival in style.

     

  • Leaderboards: It's not the winning; it's the taking part that counts. Right? Screw that! Leaderboards will shine a light on those epic players that make up the best of the Bronze, Silver & Gold leagues. Every victory takes you one step closer to the top.
  • New Environments - The Wilderness Crater & Barrows: Not one, but two new locations will be bursting through the pages of Chronicle in open beta adding some fire and brimstone to your adventures.

In Chronicle: RuneScape Legends, players choose their own adventure by playing four cards at a time to develop a quest for their Legend. This isn't a duel for board control; the battle in Chronicle is for control of the quest narrative. In Chronicle, the players' cards are both their greatest weapons and weaknesses. Like any great role-playing game, players slay monsters, bosses and other foes. Only this time, these enemies are the players' to place in the quest and theirs to overcome. Chronicle presents a quest with two adventurers seeking victory, both with the tools to trip the other up. This is where Chronicle's ultimate challenge lies: its PvP meets PvE questing that gives Chronicle a competitive core, making a fun mechanic into a truly compelling evolution in the genre.

Legends of Honor Reaches New Milestone and Releases New Gameplay Video

Legends of Honor has already reached 500,000 registered players this week, just one month after the global launch. Along with the milestone, the German-based developer has also released further information about the kingdoms and factions within the game and a new video showing the factions, alliance system, and all the kingdoms that can be unlocked in the strategy game.

The newly released video offers information on the three Houses, or factions, that the players can join. The noble followers of the Order of the Goldenclaw, led by Leos Goldmane, fight under the banner of the red lion for the pride of their alliance. Azar Fireheart and the Knights of Ash and Shadow blanket the land with fire and rage beneath the symbol of the dragon. And finally, the Warriors of the Wild Lands and their leader, Torben the Unbreakable go into battle in the name of the bear, confident in their claim to power over weaker clans.

 

Which alliances are available to the players is influenced by which faction they choose. It is possible to change sides at any time, though this comes at the cost of all the Honor that the player has collected up until that point - the most valuable resource within the game. During the game, the most powerful alliances compete across the three Kingdoms: the High Kingdom, the Ice Storm Mountains, and the Dark Marshes. These lands are full of unique resources, lying in wait for a powerful ruler to take charge.

Blade & Soul Currency Exchange & New Costumes Now Available

Blade & Soul may only be a month old in the west but the martial art MMORPG has been a success, boasting 2 million players now since launch on January 19. NCsoft just released the 1st major Rising Water patch on Feb 10 and today new costumes (White Sandraider & Demon Maw) have been added in to the Hongmoon Store as well as the currency exchange.


So how does the currency exchange system work?
You can access the Currency Exchange by pressing Ctrl+C, and then choose to place your own gold for sale, or buy gold from others. A buyer can purchase gold from the Currency Exchange with NCoin, and once purchased, the NCoin will be converted to Hongmoon Coin and be delivered to the seller. Hongmoon Coin can then be used by the seller to purchase a large number of different items and boosts from the in-game Hongmoon Store.

Each sell order is capped at 1,000 gold, and the number of sell orders that can be placed on the Currency Exchange are limited by number of simultaneous orders, and total per day. See the Premium Membership overview for a list of Currency Exchange limits based on Premium status and rank. Standard exchange rates and expected purchase prices will be displayed by both buyers and sellers to help them make their decisions. There is a 10% commission subtracted by the Currency Exchange from the amount of Hongmoon Coin the seller will receive once a sale is completed, so keep that in mind when setting your prices.
It is a safe way for players to trade gold for NCoin and for those who participated in the previous beta weekends, you can use it the system easily because the system remains virtually unchanged with only a few tweaks.

ARK: Survival Evolved First Explorer Note is Written in Classical Chinese

Studio Wildcard, the developer behind ARK: Survival Evolved, has been consistently updating its open world dinosaur survival ARK: Survival Evolved with new content. To help players get closer to the mysterious story behind the ARK, the studio has recently announced the Explorer Notes system to tell the stories of the island’s previous inhabitants.



The first note has been revealed, and it is written in Classical Chinese, which makes it trickier to read than you might have expected. Fortunately, some users of Steam posted the translation, and you can check out the edited version below.

"It has been four nights since I woke up. I'm writing the passing things down. If I go back, my family will ask me about this. If I am dead, I hope it can help others. The ghosts and monsters are everywhere, they are all scary and dangerous. I was scared and I couldn't sleep at night. I have been to many places but I cannot avoid them. The plants are also strange and I don't learn about them. Although I am away from my hometown, I must find a way to go back home. It's the most important thing."



In addition to Explorer Note, Studio Wildcard has also announced plans to take a break from revealing Dino Dossiers over the coming weeks. Until now, the studio has added giant kangaroo, three-seater dinosaur, and more.

Trinium Wars: 'Resource War' Mode Can Support up to 1000 Players

InselGames and HanmaruSoft revealed the 'Resource War' mode, a key feature of the upcoming post-apocalyptic MMORPG Trinium Wars. In this large-scale PvP mode, up to 1000 players fight at the same time, taking over mines, securing supply chains and conquering enemy territory. As the war is raging 24/7, the faction with less players online will get NPC troops and small buffs, which ensures a balanced match.



However, Resource War mode won't be available at the early game since players have to level up to at least 30 to experience this core feature. Trinium Wars was supposed to launch early access on Steam today but the date has been delayed a bit to March 2.

8 classes will be playable in CBT2, namely Warrior, Ranger, Sorceress, Berserker, Valkyrie, Tamer, Wizard, Witch. Reward for reaching level 45 has been adjusted to Full Skill Reset but noted it will expire after a short time.

As for the server configuration, it seems we won't have mega sever in CBT2. Instead, there will be a total of 4 servers; 2 for NA and 2 for EU. Each server will have a total of 10 possible channels, with 4 enabled by default and 6 to serve as overflow as needed.


Speaking of the cash shop costume prices that many players are asking, we now have an answer. The price of the whole costume set is 2200 Pearls ($22 in real money) and 3200 Pearls ($32 in real money) goes to Weapon & Costume set. Pet is priced at 900 Pearls, which is $9 each. The background story for this game narrates that players set out to rescue a large amount of heroes who have been cursed for some reason. Once you rescue a cursed hero and help the hero return to normal, you will have the option of having them join your roster of characters. That is to say that you can collect a lot of different heroes for yourself to use when playing.

There are 245 heroes that will be available at launch in total. Each hero has their own unique abilities and benefits that they bring to your party and to combat so that your strategies will need to be adjusted each fight, depending on the heroes you have in your party at that time. Console gamers will be able to enjoy chaotic split-screen FPS fun when Screencheat releases for Xbox One and PS4 on March 1, 2016.
 
Screencheat will support local and online play for 2-8 players, provide an arsenal of off-the-wall one hit kill weapons and ridiculously detailed customization options for players to create their own game modes.



Screencheat is the ridiculous split-screen shooter where everyone is invisible so you have to “screencheat” (Screencheat - verb: to look at your opponent’s screens. “Stop screencheating you cheater!”).

Train your skills in the solo time trials then engage in fast and frantic combat with up to eight players locally on the couch or online. With colourful maps, unique modes and a huge number of customisation options including wacky mutators, Screencheat is the ultimate party FPS. Screencheat was born out of the Global Game Jam 2014 and is developed by three-man team, Samurai Punk. The game launched on October 21st, 2014 on Windows, Mac, and Linux and currently features eleven colourful maps, ten distinctive weapons and a wide variety of both online and offline multiplayer options that will promote questionable sportsmanship around the world. It is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on March 1st, 2016.
