Destiny 2 (PS4, XboxOne, PC)![Destiny 2]()
Destiny 2 is an upcoming MMOFPS developed by Bungie, Vicarious Visions and High Moon Studios, that will be the sequel of the well-known 2014’s Destiny. Destiny 2 will be released on September 8, 2017 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, while PC version will be publlished by Blizzard (the first external game to be available through Battlenet).
From what
we’ve seen so far, it looks like Destiny 2 will not take a dramatically different approach from the original Destiny, and it will mostly be a refinement of the original version.
Although the long awaited reveal trailer didn’t show any gameplay elements, we’ve learned that The City has fallen under the siege of Ghaul, the brutal leader of a new force called the Red Legion, and that humanity, or what remained from it, was pushed out of its last safe heaven.
Bungie said that Destiny 2 will provide “a story you can relate to” and that you will finally get to care about the characters that will shape your destiny. The game will start with the Cabal invasion of Earth, a memorable battle where you will get the chance to fight alongside Commander Zavala, the Titan Vanguard and other well-known leaders that aren’t just some serving quest givers NPCs anymore.
As with the original Destiny launch, at the beginning, Destiny 2 will feature four different settings, including Earth, but fear not as you will be exploring a new version of Earth. The other locations are: Titan – a moon of Saturn, Io – a moon of Jupiter, and a planetoid called Nessus. Bungie also stated that at the beginning, none of the locations presented in Destiny will return to the sequel.
![destiny 2 environment]()
These new worlds will offer more activities and a larger play space. Character’s that you’ll meet in the world will now send you on side missions called Adventures, where new encounters awaits you with different mechanics and rewards, or challenge you to conquer new dungeons known as Lost Sectors.
Old features will also be present but they will be augmented with new systems and challenges. To avoid splitting the population, this time we will only have one social space. The Farm, located near the European Dead Zone, is humanity’s new home on Earth, following the Tower’s destruction.
The new Travel System will allow players to travel directly between planets without jumping back and forth on the orbit, saving a lot of time. In Destiny 2 all you have to do is open up the Director, where all the destinations and activities are listed, and choose where you want to go or what you want to do next.
In terms of classes, it seems like we are not getting any new ones, but some subclasses are being replaced. Bungie revealed the Sentinel Titan – a subclass geared towards defense and close combat, Dawnblade Warlock – a subclass specially designed for aerial combat, and the Arcstrider Hunter – a subclass focused on different acrobatic moves.
There are more changes coming to Destiny 2 so be sure to check the
official site and keep an eye on the E3 announcements that we will cover here, at 2p.
Deep Down (PS4)![Deep Down]()
An upcoming Playstation 4 action RPG that follows two different timelines, Deep Down was announced by Capcom back in 2013 as a PS4 free-to-play exclusive title, but until now we didn’t get any further details. Developers are saying that the game has expanded far beyond their initial expectations.
Deep Down gameplay was described as being similar with Dragon’s Dogma and Dark Souls, although the game should have a lesser difficulty.
The Tokyo Game Show Demo from 2013 presented some futuristic elements inside the game’s interface, suggesting a device similar with Animus from Assassin Creed.
In 2014, with the release of two new trailers, we learned that the player’s perspective will begin in New York City, year 2094 and will follow the story of Ravens, a group that has the ability to recover historical memories by touching ancient relics. The historical sections of the game (such as the years 1494) will take place in a medieval fantasy setting through procedurally generated dungeons, where up to four players may enter simultaneously.
Hellgate London VR (PC & Consoles)
![Hellgate London VR]()
We all know that Hanbitsoft have stopped developing Hellgate: London 2 back in 2014, but few of us followed the recently announcement for Hellgate: London VR, a prequel to the original shooter that was developed by Flagship and launched way back in 2007.
Hellgate: London VR is a single player game where you will be given the mission to protect a younger version of Jessica Sumerisle (you may remember her as the Templar from the original title) at the beginning of a demon invasion.
The game is developed on Unreal Engine 4, featuring high-end graphics and an immersive horrific atmosphere, and it should be released on both PC and Consoles. Latest intel that we got also points to a Rift/Vive version being in the work as well.

Conqueror's Blade (PC, PS4)![War Rage MMO]()
Following the success of the last year E3 press conference, NetEase is ready to present Conqueror's Blade which was previously known as War Rage, the western version of Conqueror’s Blade MMORTS.
Conqueror's Blade is an upcoming 3D war MMO, set in ancient China that simulates historic siege warfare and tactics. Some of the key features are:
- Ancient Chinese setting – players will get the chance to visit the era of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and take part in historical wars
- Large Scale PvP – massive scale competitive battles and sieges
- Destructible Buildings – during sieges players will be able to destroy gates and wall with the help of various siege machines as well as blowing up the opposing team arsenal
- Regions and Bases that can be conquered
- PVE elements such as event and hidden locations
- Dynasty Warriors type of combat – you will take command of a valiant commander and fight through hordes of enemies
Unlike Kingdom Under Fire 2,
Conqueror's Blade focuses more on the strategic aspect of the massive battles, than just the normal hack-and-slash action. Players will take control of a general (the game’s class system), each with a particular combat style, and they will have to rely on their entire army, composed from different customizable and upgradable troops, in order to emerge victorious on the battlefield.

Environment, or better say knowing the terrain will play a major part in the upcoming battles. Through different battles you will find bridges that can be burnt to cut off following enemies, forest where you can plan your next ambush move, and other similar terrains that will provide a true tactician with unique advantages.
With
Conqueror's Blade, NetEase plans to bring an eastern version of Game of Thrones, where the map will cover the entire world of the 15th centuries.
The Crew 2
![The Crew 2]()
Back in May, Ubisfot announced The Crew 2, a sequel to the open-world racing game that was launched in 2014. The game is expected to release during the current fiscal year, so we should be on the road again until March 31, 2018.
We are waiting for E3 to learn more about this future title, as for the moment we only have a logo and the following message: “Beyond the road … Stay with us for more high octane thrills!”
If you can’t wait that long, don’t forget that the original Crew is still online, and a new expansion entitled Calling All Units is now available, letting you play for the good guys, helping the FBI to take down illegal street racers. This DLC that also contain The Crew Wild Run expansion is now
on sale for just 8.50 euros (remember that you will need the base game also).
We didn’t get an announcement about the platforms where The Crew 2 will be available, but we don’t think that Ubisoft is planning to change anything here, so we can safely assume that the game will be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
Metal Gear Survive (PS4, Xbox One & PC)
![Metal Gear Survive]()
Another interesting title that will be presented at E3 is Metal Gear Survive, a side story of the well-known Metal Gear Solid V. The story will follows four diamond Dog soldiers, that find themselves in a desolate alternate dimension filled with zombies. Of course, their ultimate goal is to figure out how to survive.
Last time we saw Meta Gear Survive in action was at TGS 2016, were a fifteen minute demo was available, showcasing the game’s new direction that emphasis on teamplay, stealth mechanics, a few tower defense elements and survival aspects.
Metal Gear Survive is a co-op survival action game that features a well-designed open world set in the same universe as The Phantom Pain, with various new elements such as building base defenses against hordes of interdimensional creatures, survival aspects like wound healing on the battlefield, gathering resources to craft various items, and so on.
The story takes place after Big Boss and Miller abandoned the Mother Base, when a wormhole opens above the base sucking everything into a parallel universe.
Metal Gear Survive will be available on PS4, Xbox One and PC, but there is no mention on the official website about a Nintendo Switch version or if the game will be a full release, digital only or a free-to-play title. Anyway more details will be available soon at E3 2017.
Sea of Thieves (Xbox One & PC)
![]()
Sea of Thieves is a co-op action-adventure pirate game, currently developed for Xbox One and PC by Rare. The game is supposed to be published this year by Microsoft Studios.
Players will take the role of a pirate, an avatar they will be able to fully customize by selecting the gender, appearance, physique and outfits. Developers wanted to focus more on player’s skills rather than character stats so no classes or advanced specialization will be available in Sea of Thieves.
What is a pirate without a ship, right? In Sea of Thieves players will be able to craft various types of ships, ranging from a small single person skiff to large galleons full of cannons. The small ships will be all about speed and maneuverability while the big ones will require an entire crew to be really effective. Both pirates and ships will be further upgraded and customized throughout the game.
The world will be divided into different regions, each with their own feeling and adventures. There won’t be any procedural generated maps, but game designers worked hard to create unique and evocative experiences for each zone.
Besides the wilderness that awaits us, there will be a variety of harbors, outposts and cities populated with different NPC merchants and quest givers. It seems like the NPCs will be landlocked, but every sheep you’ll see on the horizon will be managed by at least one other player.
Adventurers will also hunt for buried treasures on various islands, using landmarks to locate the zone where they will start to dig. Uncovering a treasure it’s not enough, as players will need to bring it back to their ship and then sail to a safe port in order to cash in the rewards.
The journey will be filled with pirate vs pirate action, as outside the safe harbors, players will be able to attack and steal treasures from other ships. The dangers of being ambushed while carrying a treasure will encourage players to build stronger ships and form crews.
Sea of Thieves should be released in 2017, but Microsoft Studios has not specified a release date yet. Fingers crossed for an announcement at E3 2017.
Path of Exile: The Fall of Oriath (Xbox One & PC)![Path of Exile The Fall of Oriath]()
The Fall of Oriath expansion includes six entirely new acts, which brings hours of content and a new Phanteon system to explore. This time around you’ll need to kill several gods to unlock it, encouraging players to explore levels completely. There are 16 new gods in this expansion, each with a unique power that will allows players to activate various bonuses.
From what we saw so far, The Fall of Oriath brings at least the same level of content at the rest of the game, with big maps to explore, side quests to keep your from grinding all day, and our favorite part, challenging boss fights.
Throughout the expansion you’ll face 24 boss fights, many of them featuring a multi-stage encounter. In the early days of Path of Exile, boss fights were pretty straightforward, but this is not the case anymore. As you can see in the video below, bosses now have unique mechanics that will challenged even the most hardcore players.
The journey to the Atlas of Worlds has been altered drastically. After completing Act 1 through 5, you will no longer need to repeat the same story to reach end-game, as Cruel and Merciless Difficulty were removed in order to add Act 6 through 10. So now your journey will be a one to ten act playthrough.
Durango (Mobile)![Durango]()
A few days ago Nexon announced that Durango will be available at E3 2017 and a global launch is expected for Q4 2017. This mobile open world, sandbox MMORPG set in a primitive alternate universe inhabited by dinosaurs is one of my favorite mobile games, so I pray that Nexon will manage to keep it away from the p2w genre.
Durango is a true sandbox mobile MMORPG, giving players the freedom to pursue various goals, while trying to survive in a harsh environment. After finishing the introductive story, you’ll jump right into the action, fighting to survive while searching for a place to settle down. You’ll need to harvest food, craft materials, tools and weapons, and even hunt or tame wild dinosaurs.
Once settled now, it’s time to explore the main island, and the entire network of subsequent islands that will allow you to gather rare or more advanced resources. Durango was the first game that felt similar with other PC survival titles.
If you want to learn more about this game, be sure to check our
Durango: Survival Guide that was available for the last beta phase, and keep an eye for Nexon at E3 2017.
