Clash Royale:The Electrifying Dart Goblin Deck for Arena 9 [Legendary]

$

Alright what's up everyone, today I will be making a deck guide on my new favorite decks, the Electrifying Dart Digger. Before we get into this, I am sorry I could not post any decks or strategies since my first one, the GY guide, because of school and stuff.

I saw a comment on a post about how people who write strategy guides, get leggie flairs, and then dip, and I thought that it could refer to someone like me. But, school got in the way, and I am sorry about the lack of decks/strategy guides.

However, on the long weekend, I do have some time, but finals are approaching, so don't expect any until early feb. Let's Get right into this! Let me provide a little bit of back story for when I made this: It was Thursday Night, and Jungle Arena came out at 9 PM PST. Since I had eWiz and Miner and GY, I decided to make a Dart Goblin deck, since I believed the DG would be successful after watching the OJ vid and would work well in Spell Bait Miner decks.

And since eWiz was a bit underrated and could output massive damage if tanking, and if it could stun shit, I thought "Hmmmmmm... I have an idea". So, I started out using the combo I like to call FIZ (Fireball Inferno Zap) Then I added the Dart Goblin and the Electro Wizard. Then I thought, "Shit, I don't have any eBarbs counters" So I added in the SKarmy, and then since this deck was pretty cheap and had no tank, I wanted to keep it as a spell bait/cycle deck. I then added in my Ice Spirit for synergy with the Dart Goblin and eWiz, and it works well for Miner+Ice Spirit chipping. So, let's get right into it! TL;DR at the bottom. All feedback is appreciated

TL;DR

MY DECK:

Inferno Tower: The sweeper. Helps clean up LavaLoon, some golem deck varieties, giant decks, basically tanks. If there's a lone musketeer or wizard or ice wizard or whatever the hell just use this thing. Oh, and did I mention Hog Riders? Zap does nothing against the IT in a 1on1 interaction placed at 4-3.

Fireball: This card's middle name is Value. There are so many cards it can take out/ severely weaken. The knockback effect is a bonus. If you're facing a 3M deck, this is pretty much an ez win. More in-depth detail about this further below. Using this on support troops coupled with a Zap is a shut-down. A good support card for the inferno to clear small-medium units.

Zap: The last member of FIZ, there's a reason that this card is in every deck in the meta. Using this againt Barrels, Minion Horde, SKarmy, (which is mainly used to take out Miners!!!!!!!!!!) and many other troops. Also a good last-ditch card that can give you a short stun in the last few seconds of the tower and there are full-health EBs on your tower.

Electro Wizard: The guy pulls the strings of this deck and is a large reason why it works. Using him on lone support troops and backing him up with a Miner once he crosses the brdge is great. Beware thiough, because the spawn zap is not his main asset. His ability to stun any troop and deal damage to one or two targets is his main asset. Using him with the Miner and the Dart Goblin is a good chip push, even if the ewiz gets to the tower before the Miner because the stuns would make it retarget to the miner while the ewiz zaps everything and the DG goes to town.

Miner: This boi is a great mini-tank to put anywhere on the map. In the worst case, he isn't too bad vs EB. Using him with the DG and ice spirit can do severe damage to the tower. He also synergizes well with fireball, zap, ewiz, and ice spirit and skarmy.

Skeleton Army: The defensive powerhouse in this deck. Shuts down tanks, EB, Hog, and even some splash units if you surround them. This is the Musketeer counter. Even against LavaLoon and you play your inferno to kill the hound and distract the loon and mega minion, you can use the skarmy to distract the pups while the eWiz does work to the loon and the pups.

Dart Goblin: Your main chip damage dealer, your air card that you pair with the electro wizard, and has insane synergy with almost all of the cards in this deck. Using him to counter back-end support units while something else distracts or the loon killer, he shines in every aspect. Unlike the elite barbs and the Tornado, I think the DG will come out as a legitimate, viable card, not just lackluster.

Ice Spirit: This card has great synergy with pretty much every card in this deck, except fireball. With Zap, Ice Spirit+Zap shreds a minion horde. This is also a great card to couple with the Miner or Dart Goblin, as it lets both of them chip off a good amount of tower damage.

Guides on how to use the different cards:
Miner GuideAnother Miner guide
Electro Wizard Guide
Dart Goblin Guide
Guides to Fireball and Zap
Inferno Tower Guide
Ice Spirit Guide
SKArmy guide

Replacements for some of the cards:
eWiz: Sadly unreplaceable.
Miner: I would say Ice Golem can take his place well.
SKArmy: Mega Minion for maybe more air defense , but using this leaves you more susceptible to EB imo.
Dart Goblin: I would say Musketeer is the best replacement for him. She is a bit tankier, but the log bai doesn't make your deck a master baiter anymore.
Ice Spirit: Fire Spirits?
FIZ: Irreplaceable.

HOW TO USE THIS DECK:
Basically, this deck's playstyle is a chip cycle/rush playstyle. I won't get into all of the starting hands possible, I will look into some though.

-Inferno, Fireball, Zap, Ice Spirit: This is the worst hand you can get. However, you are guaranteed a skarmy, miner, or ewiz/dart goblin next. You can use the ice spirit to couple with one of these cards, and you can split the skarmy in the back.

-Miner, Dart Goblin, eWiz, Ice spirit: This is the best offensive hand you can get. Going with a Dart Goblin behind your crown tower, then the miner, then your ice spirit, can be a surprising push. If the person logs and if they have eBarbs, you can safely use your skarmy to defend the elite barbarians. Playing the iT in a 4-2 plant can cancel them out.

How to defend Lavaloon: Basically, when the other dude puts his hound in the back, you go other lane pressure with ideally a miner combo. This can be with the Ice Spirit, Dart Goblin, or Skarmy. The electro wi is a bt risky because it is your best tool vs the Balloon. When the hound crosses the bridge, play your inferno at a 3-2, 4-2, 4-1, or 3-1 depending on where the Hound, loon, or mega is played. Double lane pressure is your friend here.

How to defend against Golem: When the Golem comes down, immediately pressure the other lane with any sort of troop like the Dart Goblin+Ice Spirit+Miner+(Maybe eWiz) Just go all out on the other lane and make sure you have the inferno ready to play to take the golem down. For support troops, Fireball+Zap.

How to counter eBarbs: Ahhh, everyone's favorite card. /s This card is OP to some, no question about that. But, this deck is not very prone to them because Ice Spirit+ eWiz. Of course, the skarmy is there, and try mixing up the placement if they have log because if they know you have it, there is a high chance that they will log the arena to try and give your troops splinters, but won't work. You could replace iT for tombstone if you are finding problems.

TL;DR: Basically, this deck has a good place in the meta and the Dart Goblin is a cool card. The deck is Dart Goblin, Fireball, Inferno, Zap, Electro Wizard, Miner, Ice Spirit, and Skeleton Army.
Thank you all for reading if you did! Before you ask, I got 4 12-win classics with this deck.

Nostalrius Is Not Happy with Elysium's Approach of WoW Legacy Servers

$
0
0
As we mentioned before, Nostalrius released the source code and transfered the player data to the Elysium team, after they were unable to reach an agreement with Blizzard regarding the legacy servers. Soon after receiving the "WoW legacy" from Nostalrius, Elsyium-Project launched a PvE and PvP Nostalrius emu under its banner on December 18th, 2016.

On January 7th, the Ukraine-based Elysium team launched a Fresh-start PvP realm, which soon then got around 20,000 players in the queue. The solution to the queue problem came on January 13th, when the Zeth'Kur PvP realm was launched, bringing the number of Nostalrius realms to four.

In a recent post made by Nostalrius on its official forum, the Vanilla team states that "we have the feeling that the main objective was missed". Nostalrius continues by saying that "Today, only 10% of the former Nostalrius players have generated a token to join Elysium, and we believe that we failed to satisfy this community entirely, as at the same time legacy fans acquired a reputation of 'pirates' on the official WoW community.

Contrary to our expectations, our decision to release our source code and character database to Elysium actually made our 2 goals harder to achieve, implying a thought decision to make." [...]  "We know that Nostalrius carries the hopes of the legacy community but moving from “fan server” to "pirate server" reputation makes it harder to convince that legacy fans have a place on the WoW community. Until this stigma is removed, it's unlikely any true progress towards official legacy content can be achieved."

Therefore, in order to restore its reputation, Nostalrius asked the Elysium devs to stop using all data that has been transferred to them by Nostalrius. "Nostalrius community is no longer about private servers, it is about official legacy realms." added the guys from Nostalrius.

In other words, the current Elysium devs and players are asked to make a "tremendous sacrifice" and give up their new emulator and characters for the sake of the WoW community.

On the next page you can read the Elysium's response.

Elsyium's response came soon after that, and presented the situation from their point of view. "Over the course of the next several weeks we will discontinue use of the Nostalrius core. By then, we will have completed Anathema, which will be equal to or superior to the Nostalrius core. We assure you that you will not feel any difference in the cores except for a potential increase in quality. We have been continuously updating the Anathema core side-by-side with the Nostalrius core.

All characters that have existed in the game world since Elysium’s launch until now will be maintained and all Nostalrius specific data will be wiped. Nostalrius realms will be renamed to Anathema PvP and Darrowshire PvE." Elysium states that the new realms will not be affected, and that the Nostalrius databases and core will not be revealed.

In its response to the Nostalrius team, Elysium provides some insights regarding this WoW Legacy project, such as:
- 52% of Nostalrius active accounts transferred over 16 days (token generator uptime)
- 155% increase of active accounts compared to Nostalrius.
- 50% of total accounts were active in the last 7 days
- 17,000 players simultaneously online on re-launch
- 30,500 players simultaneously online over 4 realms
- 62 volunteers

Elysium concludes its response to Nostalrius by saying that the WoW Legacy community continues to grow, and that Elysium will do everything in its power to preserve it, by offering a "home" to the players until "Blizzard announces official Legacy World of Warcraft content and provide a tangible timeline for their release."

We may say that Elysium bites the hand that fed it, but for the sake of the WoW community, right!?

TERA Studio's Upcoming Battle Royale FPS to Start Closed Beta in February

TERA Developer Bluehole has announced that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will be kicking off Closed Beta Test in February. To celebrate the success of Alpha 2, the dev team released a complilation video showing the killing moments.

Here is a short summary of Closed Beta Test goals:
The two main goals of our closed beta test (CBT) is to deliver enhanced realism for our action and gunplay, the core features of Battlegrounds gameplay, in addition to introducing more detailed tuning to the game. In order to meet these goals, we’ve implemented many new features reflecting the feedback we received during our last alpha test, and we anticipate continuing to add polish throughout the CBT based on your reception.

Animation & Action Control

All of our new animation was recorded at Bohemia Interactive’s motion capture studio in Prague. For our CBT, we replaced all of our previous animations using data from these sessions, improving on character motion and action. These new animations are aimed at providing for an overall more realistic and engaging feel, so we look forward to hearing what you think about them.

Gunplay

To improve upon the realism of gunplay, we’ve implemented specific reloads for each type of gun, and modified the overall recoil pattern and balance between individual firearms. (Marek’s additional description) Options to allow players to either over-throw/under-throw grenades were also added to satisfy those seeking more strategic gameplay.

Destructible Objects

All wooden doors in Battlegrounds are now destructible with guns and grenades. You can now break down doors from a distance and charge right into buildings.

Visual Art

Between our new lighting system and the addition of global illumination, we’ve improved on the realism of the game world. The previously WIP military base locale is now complete, in addition to a number of other buildings we’ve introduced including museums, power plants, city hall, schools, police stations and shops. Smaller areas of the world that were previously simple placeholders are now complete, making for a much more polished environment. With the number of new regions added, we’re excited to present combat experiences of an even greater variety than before.

Sound

All gun sounds have been implemented, along with vehicle and ambient sounds. This nearly completes the sounds we need to have added to the game for Closed Beta.

Tech

We’ve finished working on level streaming which will allow the game to launch much quicker. Additionally, the game will now run smoothly on PCs with less memory. We’ll be continuing to improve game optimization over the course of the CBT.

Transformers Online Is Like Overwatch in Transformers' Skin and It Looks Good

Transformers Online is a licensed multiplayer FPS focuses on team competition. The game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and will be published by Tencent Games in China. The game officially kicked off cosed beta on January 12 with a big improvement in graphics, user interface, skills and more.

Take a look at the Escort the Payload mode gameplay video uploaded by MMOCulture below, and you can see the core mechanics are very much similar to Overwatch's Escort mode, where one team has to move the payload to the destination while the other team needs to stop that payload.

Hero abilities and map strategies reflect Overwatch as well. You can see Optimus holds a energy shield like Reinhardt does in Overwatch, the defense turret like Torbjorn's in Overwatch, and other "DPS" can make advantage of different paths and vantage points on the map to attack or defend.

The game is still in development but the animations are pretty polished already. The game is likely going to be free-to-play so it will attract not only Transformers fans but also those who don't want to spend $40 to purchase Overwatch. Unfortunately the game is likely will only be released in Chinese market, although it won't block foreign IP.

Just like Christmas in western countries, Spring festival (1.28 - 2.3) is the biggest festival in China. It’s also the season for game developers. As it is known to all, Supercell was acquired by Tencent in June 2016. So I’m not surprised when I saw a spring festival themed poster for Clash Royale. However, there is a hidden character in the poster says we will see a Chinese princess in 3 days.

What’s the difference between the Chinese Princess and the Princess we have for the moment? Is it a new card? Or just an event for the upcoming festival? Is it exclusive to China’s market? All of these are yet to be confirmed! Stay tuned for more updates.

A feature that has been often requested by the League of Legends players finally found its way to the popular MOBA. After many years in which Riot Games rejected the idea of adding the  practice tool in LoL, it finally made up its mind. The practice tool is currently in the public beta phase on the tests servers, as Riot Games encourages players to use it and offer feedback, that will help at the process of improving the tool.

While this feature is in the test phase, players can enter themselves in a single-player proving ground to test out new characters, skill chains, item combinations and even jungle routes with no pressure on their shoulder that they could be burned by other players. "The doors to the Practice Tool training gym will be open soon". The bellow video offers you a slight presentation of this future LoL mode.

Full Slate of VR titles coming in 2017

Rank17
, a VR-focused publisher with a development team in Southern California, is set to deliver a number of innovative VR titles in 2017. The year starts with the retro-themed Super Pixel Smash (due this month) -- followed by the monster sim Monster Crush Online and “alien boxing” sports game Planetary Punchout. Finally, an all-new sniper-focused first-person shooter is currently in production and due later this year.

Super Pixel Smash
Wield pixelated paddles to smash powerful shots across colorful interactive walls. Target power-ups for increased scoring, leverage the ever tricky “multi-balls,” or even unlock charged shots to rake in the points. Above all, be sure to avoid the dreaded “death panels”... and race against the clock to secure an impressive high score!

Monster Crush Online (working title)
Play as a giant monster crushing everything in its path. Choose from four capable creatures -- Carl Cthulhu, Demon Dave, Gorzilla Greg, and Randy Rockford -- and lay waste to fully destructible cityscapes in this entertaining monster sim. In multiplayer mode, compete against friends or go co-op for some shared VR mayhem.

Planetary Punchout (working title)
As an unwilling competitor in the Intergalactic Boxing Federation (IBF), the only choice is to face antagonistic alien creatures in a series of out-of-this-world boxing matches. Winning is far from easy: Each alien race has developed unique fighting styles -- and defeat is not an option. Win enough bouts … and live to fight another day!

“This is shaping up to be a standout year for Rank17. After building on the positive reception of our previous games -- including the well-received BladeShield -- we’re charging full speed ahead with a new generation of ‘pick up and play’ VR titles,” says Steve Iverson, Studio Head, Rank17. “Breakout fans will find much to love in the nostalgic Super Pixel Smash. I’m sure that even meekest among us would be up for some city stomping fun in Monster Crush Online. Boxing is already fun, but punching aliens in face in Planetary Punchout is even better. Finally, FPS fans will soon get the VR game they always wanted in our upcoming sniper game. There’s much more to come throughout 2017!”

Clash Royale: Elite Barb Counter Deck (No Epics or Legendaries)

$
0
0
Hello, if you're tired of the elite barb meta this deck can counter elite barbs incredibly easily. This deck does require a fair amount of skill to use.

Deck

Ice Golem (can use Guards also)
Fire Spirits
Valkyrie
Zap
Elite Barbarians
Tombstone
Musketeer
Hog Rider

Strategy
The whole point of the deck is to use the tombstone and Ice golem to lure the opponent's rush into the center of the map. While doing this you want to play troops like fire spirits or the musketeer in the back to deal even more damage to stop their rush. Be careful, though using your musketeer early can cause your opponent to rush with air troops and the musketeer is really the only anti-air card you have. Another option is to counter with the elite barbs and then use them as a counter rush.

Early Game
The name of the game of this Deck is countering, wait for your opponent to play first and create a counter push. Use the Elite Barbs to do this.
Or if they don't play for a little bit
Deploy the Hog rider to see what their counter is, if it is skeleton army be prepared to use a prediction
zap to get the hog rider or elite barbs to the tower.
Or
Play the musketeer in the back of the king tower, the goal here is to get the game going.

Middle Game
Counter Counter Counter
Try to chip away their tower with elite barbs, and the hog rider

End Game
Use the extra elixir to keep countering but be more aggressive, Ice golem, elite barb push
Try to deal that little extra damage to finish off their tower

Never start with an elite barb rush, you will most likely lose if you start off the game right away with an elite barb rush, this deck is more of a defensive deck, don't be aggressive until you have the 2x elixir.

Counters
Elite Barbs - use the tomb stone to bait them into the middle and if they have supporting troops behind the barbs use the ice golem to separate the elite barbs and the rest of the push. If they cycle faster than you, you can always use the elite barbs and zap to counter and then have a counter push. Also, the Valkyrie is great for if the Elite barbs have weak troops behind them, The valkyrie can not take on Elite Barbs by herself, use the ice golem or the fire spirits to help her out.

Lava Hound - Lava hound/air decks are hard to counter, but if played right it can be really easy. Use the tomb stone to draw the lava hound into the middle, then play the musketeer behind the tower. Once again use the ice golem to separate the tank from the push, the goal is to buy time for the musketeer to kill the lava hound.

Giant - Play the tombstone in the center to draw in the giant then place Valkyrie in the back to kill other troops if the Giant is followed by air troops use zap if zap does not completely kill the troops behind the Giant place the ice golem behind the Giant, the smaller troops will kill the ice golem effectively killing themselves.

Royale Giant - Counter with tombstone, elite barbs or both

Final Words
Placement is key to success. The tombstone and Ice golem are your best friends they can basically counter anything, use the elite barbarians to counter a tank then support them for a counter push, use the musketeer to chip away at tanks from the safety of the tower. Use the hog rider to finish off a tower. Remember you don't have to follow my advice word by word, find out what works for you.

If you have any trouble with this deck and positioning check out this great video by orange juice, this deck was based off this video. Thanks for your time and good luck.

SNK announced has just announced The King of Fighters mobile MMORPG dubbed The King of The Fighters: World, which will be a persistent online RPG for iOS and Android system. The game will be released in China first in Summer 2017.

Being the first MMO in the franchise, The King of The Fighters: World allows players to freely explore the universe of the KOF series. However, it seems that players won't be able to play the iconic characters but instead create their own characters. However, the beloved characters such as Mai Shiranui, Iori Yagami and Kyo Kusanagi, etc. will still appear in the game.

Just before the end of 2017, SNK had stated that it was working on a series of new projects for 2017, and The King of Fighters: World, of course, is one of the new titles.

How the Multiple Character System from Lineage Eternal Works

Lineage Eternal, the hack-n-slash MMORPG conducted the first Closed Beta phase last year in December. As mentioned before, the game features a multiple character system which allows players to select 4 Eternal heroes, and switch between them while doing open world exploration and running a group dungeon. As for solo dungeons, the Eternal system works differently.

Steparu has a new gameplay video shows level 30 open world adventure. You can see hero switch, combat, and open world event in the video. However, the Eternal heroes don't share experience with each other, which means players need to level up them separately. While a player can control one hero at a time, they can bind all 4 heroes they select to F1-F4 buttons and swap between them.

"Players can enhance a skill or change the way it completely works by equipping gems on it." You may be interested to find out that the game features a special Eternal skill system similar to League of Legend's Summoner Spells. The Tower of Insolence is a solo dungeon, in which you can control an Eternal team. Well, you can control only one of your heroes, while the computer handles the other three. Currently, there is no information regarding the schedule of the second CBT.

One week before the massive Margoria expansion launches in Black Desert, the publisher Kakao Games adds new content to the game today, including the start of "Play Your Way" event and return of the Black Spirit's Adventure game, a Monopoly like mini game.

What's more, the Fame system will be implemented in the update. In the Korean version, Fame is composed of Battle, Life, and Special. Battle and Life Fame will be calculated with all character's battle and life level. Special Fame will be calculated with fammily's knowledge and contribution point. Players can get daily rewards based on their Fame. Kakao hasn't revealed details of the Fame system in the NA/EU version, but there won't be too many differences.

Meanwhile, today is the day when another part from the Margoria expansion becomes available for pre-download.
