Supercell’s highly anticipated mobile game Brawl Stars has just soft launched in Canada App Store. As a top-down shooter game, players are able to choose from 15 distinctive characters and fight in several game modes in game. Similar to Overwatch, each character has an exclusive weapon and a Super skill (Ultimate). Today we will introduce 6 recommended brawlers for beginners to start with.
Shelly
HP: 800 | Attack: 80 Damage per Shell | Super: 80 Damage per shell
Shelly is the default character for all new comers of Brawl Stars, and she is balanced range attacker with decent HP (800) and a long-range shotgun attack that has a decent spread.
Both Shelly’s normal attack and Super have spread damage, so you can practice to hit more than one target by one shot. In addition, her Super has a knock back effect which can save your life when counter the melee opponent.
Colt
Base Stats: HP: 600 | Attack: 80 Damage per Bullet | Super: 80 Damage per Bullet
Colt is a long-ranged gunner that can dish out 6 bullets very quickly. However, he is also one of the most fragile characters in the game at only 600 HP.
Colt’s Super attack is basically a buffed-up version of his normal attack, since you’ll be firing more bullets for a longer duration, however your opponent is not a still log. Try to lure your enemy to move in a linear fashion or closer, and keep track of their movements while you blast away.
Brock
Base Stats: HP: 600 | Attack: 260 Damage per Rocket | Super: 260 Damage per Rocket
Brock is a long-ranged character who is good at rocket, and he does a ton of damage from quite far away. He is best used in maps that have walls that can protect melee attackers from approaching fast. However, like any other ranged hero, he suffers from low HP and is unlikely to survive attacks.
In addition, Brock’s Super can not only deal large amount of damage but also block the way strategically.
Nita
HP: 800 | Attack: 160 Damage | Super: Bear (100 Damage, 1200 Health)
Inspired by League of Legend’s Annie, Nita is a balanced attacker bear called Big Baby Bear. Her normal attack is linear shockwave that damages anything in its relatively-short path.
In the team fight, the Big Baby Bear could easily take down enemies with low HP, and her normal attack can go through opponent. If you can hit multiple targets by one shot, the Super skill can be charged very fast.
El Primo
HP: 1300 | Attack: 80 Damage per fist | Super: 200 Damage
El Primo is a boxing style melee character with great health, decent speed, meaning he can close in relatively quickly in an open field. EI Primo can throw four punches in a quick time, and his Super provides him with good mobility. While he may not be effective in maps like Smash & Grab, he is highly effective in the other 3 modes – Bounty, Heist and Showdown.
Bull
HP: 1200 | Attack: 100 Damage per Bullet | Super: 200 Damage
Bull is a bit like a smaller, but faster El Primo. He has a bunch of HP and his super ability allows him to move at a crazy speed, bulldozing everything left in his path. Bull has a stable middle-ranged shotgun, and the fan-shaped damage deal AOE to nearby enermies.
