Counterplay Games, a new studio helmed by veteran developers from Blizzard Entertainment, Riot Games and Insomniac Games, today announced that Duelyst (Official Website: http://www.duelyst.com/), the highly-anticipated tactical turn-based multiplayer strategy game, is now in open beta worldwide and available to play for free on PC and Mac immediately.

NCsoft has just released a poster at the Korean Aion official site, arousing some speculation regarding the future of the 2008 MMORPG. The poster features Elyos Daevas are crucified and burned on the spikes. You can expect to see what is coming to Aion in November.
 


Released in 2009, Aion has just celebrated its 6th anniversary in the west. The latest expansion opens new zones, new questlines, and adds new gear along with the new story. Besides, NCsoft has confirmed Aion will be coming to Steam this fall, together with Lineage 2.

Hearthstone co-op mode is a long-running rumor and may be announced at this year’s BlizzCon. A couple of months ago, we reported HearthPwn's datamining revealed references to a possible Hearthstone Co-Op mode, and now HearthPwn has done the same magic on the most recent patch and unveiled much more info on the upcoming Co-Op Tavern Brawl. Skyforge has launched new Halloween updates in the form of new spooky content, including the Evil Pumpkin Festival and limited edition Witchcraft Packs which will last from October 21 to November 4!

The Evil Pumpkin Festival is a ghoulishly good way for players to get in the Halloween spirit by visiting the Divine Observatory and Park, which have been transformed to hold a frenzy of pumpkins. During the Halloween Festivities, players can take part in Halloween challenges and quests to earn candy that can be exchanged for Halloween items and chilling costumes, including the Pumpkin Hat, Talking Hat, Skeleton Costume, Ghost Costume, Mummy Costume and more. Not only do the costumes make players look the part for Halloween, they also give them brand new dance moves.

The choices of an adventurer are not always easy. Being satisfied with your current achievements or taking a chance and entering a brand-new phase of life? The choice though is ultimately left to you. Felspire, the fast-paced ARPG, today will enter a whole new expansion – Nirvana, featuring a new Rebirth System, increased level cap to 500, along with a new Soul Gathering System. A New Epic Map and Dungeon have also been added in this expansion.

 

Nirvana means you will unlock greater potential at the price of giving up your current level advantage. When you decide to be reborn, there are a few things that need to be done. Find and talk to the rebirth master, collect 100 Essence of each kind, and reach Lv 400. After being rebirthed, your level will be changed to Rebirth Lv 300, and the new 500 level cap, Soul Gathering system and T9 gears will become available.



What's more, a new dungeon and more challenging map will also be added in the expansion. In the new dungeon Soul Square, you are able to collect the materials required for Soul Gathering. The Lv 400 - 500 map is also available for those who have rebirthed and reached Lv 400. What you can expect is monsters and bosses that are stronger then you can imagine, and epic loots like T9 gear. The rest about the map and dungeon will be left to the players to explore.

Final Fantasy XIV's forthcoming Patch 3.1 gets more new gameplay features. Square Enix just revealed a new instance Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum where lives various types of plant demons from around the world. You can see the screenshots of the botanical style instance below. 
 



 




Pharos Sirius hard mode is another new instance to challenge in Patch 3.1. Below are some of the screenshots.


 






There are some exciting loot you can expect to acquire in the new instances, and that includes new gear.


 
You will be able to fly the existing ground mounts in Patch 3.1. No details of how this will work but players will be happy to see this.

So far crafting is extremely easy – however there’s a few ways to save time and money you may want to know about.

The first place you can pick up cooking is in Mnemos. So around level 8, when you’re doing the Shaman bit after saving the town you should see him.




Ultimately will be following the following process:

Purchase Ingredients x40 > Craft 40 > Learn New Recipies > Repeat.

For the first 81 levels you can purchase the ingredients right from the trainer. I made the following:

Gourmet Cheeseburger x40  – Ingredients: Dry Whole Wheat Bread x40

Gourmet Cheese Sausage x40 – Ingredients: Dried Sausage x40

Everything is 1 silver, so it really doesn’t matter what you use if you’re just focused on leveling it up. Just be sure to sell it back to the merchant when you make it (or on the Item Broker) if you want to get your money back.

Once you level up to Apprentice, you’ll get an achievement. Check your mail. It’ll give you an item you can sell back to a merchant for a gold.

Now from here on out you can’t purchase all of the materials from the merchant to make stuff. You’ll need to either get the ingredients from monsters, or PvP. If you’ve been doing PvP at all, you know you get a TON of meat. At the end of each PvP match you get a box that has a stack of meat in it. Don’t sell/destroy that! That’s our key to quick/cost effective leveling.
 

 

So, head on over to the Auction house. If you have the gold on hand you can go ahead and purchase all of the following: (I didn’t have bag space, so I had to run back and forth every stack of 40 I made.)
 

• Edible Meat x40 (2s each – 80s total) – Level 81-121
• Meaty Ribs x40 (6s each – 240s total) – level 121-161
• Juicy Meat x40 (10s each – 400s total) – level 161-201
• Sliced Meat x40 (10s each – 400s total) – level 201-241
• Hearty Ribs x40 (14s each – 560s total) – level 241-281 *Note – were not many of these on the auction house. You may want to just use more of the prior “Sliced Meat” to power through.
• Fresh Meat x40 (15s each – 600s total) – level 281-321
• Savory Meat x40 (5s each – 200s total) – level 321-361
  
  Prices were as of the writing of this post. So roughly 2g48s in auction items, minus the 1g you get from the achievement so 1g48s. Not factoring in materials from merchant, as I sold all the food I made back which covers that. Obviously if you want to save that you can go get the items from PvP.
  
  Took me about 30minutes to go from 1-360 cooking (running back and forth for each stack of 40 because my inventory management is terrible).
  
  I’ll update this guide as I get to 50 and can continue leveling the skill also will update the info above with exactly what you need to buy from merchant/what you’ll be making to save you some time as well.

When doing quests in Echo of Soul, players will often find that they have to collect some certain items like herbs and mine. Here is a brief introduction about the professions in Echo of Soul. There are 3 main professions and 2 secondary professions. You can only choose 1 main profession, but both secondary professions are obtainable.

Main professional classes include Alchemist, Resource Collector and Gem Craftsman.

Alchemist
Recommendation: ❤❤❤❤
Introduction: Alchemist can produce drugs that can restore HP, earrings, rings and the important items that can give your team all kinds of buffs, which plays an important role in dungeons. He can be an equipment expert but also self-suffient. So I would recommend this profession to most of the players.
 

Resource Collector
Recommendation: ❤❤❤
Introduction: Players will see mines and herbs in the wild area but they can only be gathered by Resource Collector. Mines and herbs are the necessary raw materials to produce other items so it's a must-pick profession for material merchants.
 

  Next page I am going to talk about Gem Craftsman.

 

Gem Craftsman
Recommendation: ❤❤❤❤❤

Introduction: The demand for gems at the early stage is low, thus not many players will choose to be a Gem Craftsman. Then what can Gem Craftsman do in the beginning of the game? They have the ability to produce bracelet and necklace. They have a huge potential in the late game with high demands from other players. Besides, Gem Craftsman has an unique skill.
 

Below are the use of the gems:
Emerald: increase defense
Amethyst: increase dodge
Topaz: increase max HP
Ruby: increase attack damage
Olivine: increase armor penetration
Sapphire: increase hit ratio
Agate: increase critical strike

Assistant classes introduction: there are two assistant classes in the game - Soul Expert and Cook but players can learn both at the same time.

Soul Expert: as a special system in Echo of Soul, we can see many powerful soul skills at the early game while soul expert can make various items and scrolls with soul fragments, which are useful in the battle.

Cook: the material source is very simple. Players can gain many materials when doing quests. I suggest players learn this skill as early as possible or you can't make high level food due to the low proficiency.

A Reddit user named Calycae posted an amazing story on Reddit HearthStone. A Korean Soldier takes two years’ military service to draw every Hearthstone card out. In Korea, every male needs to go to military and serve for 2 years. 



TV or books didn't satisfy this soldier, he wanted to play Hearthstone but sadly it wasn't allowed in the military. So he bought some tons of Notebooks, cut them into rectangles and started drawing and drawing. He only had one hour a day to work on this, from 10 PM to 11PM.



With the help of two other soldiers in his division, they were able to finish it and play an actual functioning game. He points out he had to write over Leeroy's manacost because he got nerfed, and they deal with RNG by rolling several dices, for example random murlocs.

Fans of the hack and slash MMO has been waiting a long time for Devilian to come out in the west. Trion Worlds has kicked off Devilian's closed beta in Europe and North America today and will remain live until October 26. The first closed beta doesn't last long and it's only available to alpha testers, founder pack holders and those who have obtained a CBT keys. However, you can expect more CBT events coming later this year.

General Tips: (Have a tip that you think is worth mentioning? Reply below!)

1. Ctrl + Right-Click a piece of equipment to Swap Gems so you can switch between different sets of gear quickly without wasting your time on extracting gems one by one. Keep in mind that if you are still holding ctrl and u try to equip a piece of gear that does not have a gem slot, you will not equip it.

2. Make sure you check your character info tab to see if you are at 100% PvE Efficiency

3. Lagging Hard? Click the little green box on the top left corner of your screen. Click “Show only my character” and “Show only my effects” to decrease lag. This only remove player models and their effects. Obviously you want to turn all your video settings down to the minimum too.

Raid Tips

1. If you can’t hit the listed dps marks then you either have the wrong skills or wrong dps rotation for your class. Do some research and train on the attack dummies, you want to time yourself for 2 minutes without using soul skill. Level 4 Dummy is 790, Level 5 is 862. Accuracy and dps requirements listed below.

2. If you are the raid leader and you have DPS members who can’t hit those requirements, then it really isn’t worth it to carry them, because in higher level raids, they will still have the wrong dps rotations and will drag the entire raid behind. People who are not determined enough to find the correct dps rotation or make sure they have enough accuracy to not miss the boss is really not worth bringing to your raids.

3. People who lag. This is a tough reality. If someone lags consistently either because they have a bad pc or bad internet, raid leaders should not bring them. Because in the 862s, and in future raids to come, 1 person can kill the entire raid and someone who lags will do that.

Nexon's new online side-scrolling action AOS game Hyper Universe which is developed by CWAVESOFT Corporation unveiled an illustration and related information about its new character Camilla.

Camilla is a sexy female character with typical evil wings and tail. She is full of fatal beauty and play the role of supporter in battle. She use whip as her main weapon. Setting background at multi universe world view, Hyper Universe is an online side-scrolling action AOS game.

Echo of Soul is developed by nvius, a studio that includes some talents from former Lineage 2 team. Echo of Soul is powered by Unreal 3 engine and has finished the alpha version. The gameplay is what NHN proud of as they claims that the game will deliver the best ever combat experience and abundant gameplay features.

NHN mentioned a soul system which will facilitate the interaction between players but they didn't disclose details about this system. Besides, the developer has decided to develop apps for mobile phones.

Developer Ledo released the Andriod version of its ARPG - Clash for Dawn the other day. It is a  brand new mobile action RPG which challenges players to defeat hordes of demonic foes on a quest to rescue Midgard. Ledo already has an eye on the future and is working on a voice chat function, dragon pets, and a brand new mode: The Raid Tower. Halloween event is also coming soon. Players who are interested can download to start the battle.

The storyline is mainly about the Dark Lord tore apart the centuries of peace due to his desire to rule. Palyers act as the chosen warrior Angeli to defend an amry of the undead. Palyers will choose a class between Warrior, Archer, Mage, and Priest and scour the land of Midgard for the broken power, slaying hordes of demons on their way. Check out the trailer below.




 

 

Gameplay

The stunning graphic makes the battles so vivid.   





The single-player can explore the challenge and quest with interest.
 

 

 
If  players prefer a more competitive scene, there is PvP in the form of game-wide tournaments, hourly events, and PvP arenas.



Sociability

In co-op dungeons, players can build a team with friend and take on the toughest dungeons to earn rewards. And players need to pledge allegiance to either The Brotherhood or The Order though. In co-op boss battles, players can join forces with others for epic adventure. Real time chat with friends and allies is available even in the middle of the battle.
