Quick Look
- Players can easily switch between 2.5D and 3D.
-7 Classes is under development; Su Wen (素问) is a female supporter class.
-There will be 2 factions in the game. Players can expect some unique settings.
- PVE will focus on Boss combat.
-There is no safe place in the game, which means players can enjoy PVP in cities.
Why do you choose 2.5D view to develop the game?
I need to clarify that the game is developed with 3D view. Qinggong, the most important skill for any Martial Arts MMO, cannot be fully displayed in 2.5D. But the bird’s-eye view will be easier for players to use in combats since it provides better views. Overall it’s a 3D world.
Of course, players can freely switch between 2.5D and 3D in combats. We’re still working on the optimization.
Can you tell us the general development plan?
We just finished the first internal test. In the past 3 years, we’ve attempted to add new experiences to game. And now we’re focusing on making contents to enrich the game. It’s already at late stage of development.
What makes it different from other PC MMOs?
Nowadays, players are more particular about PC MMOs, they want better graphics, more immersive storyline and so on. In order to make players get immersed in the poetic world, we design a lot of plots that appears in single-player game. All NPCs in the game will have their own stories and characteristics. Players need to discovery these stories by themselves and build connection with these NPCs. By doing this, we hope players will be able to enjoy the vivid chivalric world.
How will these NPCs interact with players?
We have an unique system and put a lot of efforts into AI. We’ll develop corresponding gameplay for different interactions.
How about the plot settings?
Set in the Northern Song (960-1127), one of the most influential periods in Chinese history with a prosperous economy and radiant culture, the game will restore a lot of sceneries and culture during the period. We prepare many hidden surprises for players to find.
How about the classes? Are there any differences between existing MMOs?
First of all, it won’t be something like Wudang and Shaolin. All the 7 classes will have plenty of skill combos that can be used for different situation. The combat are optimized a lot. Players will be able to enjoy both targeting and non-targeting combat system. Our goal is to make the game easy to play but hard to master.
Suwen is a female healer. Different from other MMOs, we choose ribbon as her weapon. As for other classes, we’ll make sure everyone will feel needed. Skill combos will play an important role in the game.
How about PVE and PVP?
PVE matters a lot in expressing the poetic world. And it’s mainly focus on boss battle. According to the internal test, we think PVP is fun to play. We’re going to add more contents in the near future. For example, there will be no safety zone, so players can fight with each other in the main city.
Will there will be some life skills?
Yeah, sure. Players may be able to run their own business. They can have their own restaurant, forestry... All of these may lead to the conflict of interest... This is Jianghu, full of cooperation and competition.
Can you tell us something about factions?
There will be 2 factions in the game. But it will be something different from the traditional MMOs.
Only when conflict of interest happens, will the players' name turn red and become opposite side. Most of the time, the two factions can live in peace and fight against tax officer together.
