Netease, one of the biggest mobile game developers in China, saw a big success last month as they for the first time topped the global iOS income chart by surpassing Tencent Games, and Supercell. The chart was released by App Annie, a Californian-based company that specialized in market analysis. According to the chart, the top 5 most profitable companies on iOS platform are: Netease, Tencent Games, Supercell, Machine Zone and King.
Thanks to 2 newly release mobile MMOs Fantasy Westward Journey and Journey to the West which was released in March and September respectively, along with other mobile titles such as Kai-Ri-Sei Million Arthur, Netease sized the first place in November. Specifically, according to App Annie, Fantasy Westward Journey surpassed Supercell's flagship title Clash of Clans in the income of iOS platform.

Guild War Description
Guild War is a special event held by the Eclipse Kingdom to increase overall guild strength.
1. Guild War Time: 12:00 every Monday till 21:57 every Sunday
2. Guild War is separated into two phases: Plunder and Setup phase
3. Plunder phase time: 12:00 to 21:57 every day.
4. Setup Phase time: 22:00 every day till 12:00 the next day.
Strategy of Setup Phase
1. Each time the stronghold defends successfully, the guild member in the lineup which is allocated in the defending place will be rewarded the degree of activity, so dream raiders can assign the heroes in the lineup as many as they can.
2. As for the Encouragement, remember to assign the heroes with affinity thus to improve the Fighting Capacity. The higher the FC, the greater degree of activity you can get after you succeed in defending.
3. Strongholds have the ability to revive, when all defending members perished, system will revive relevant defending members to full HP according to available revival attempts. Ask the guild Leaders and Elders place you in the front to get the chance of reviving.
4. After occupying a Stronghold, Guilds will have granted points. The higher quality of a Stronghold is, the greater the points can be awarded. Remember to select the stronghold with high quality.
Strategy for Plunder Phase
1. The degree of activity gaining from attacking depends on the quality of the stronghold and the number of teams that you defeat. Spare no efforts to weigh your overall strength, and Challenge higher quality of stronghold and defeat more teams.
2. Unoccupied Strongholds will be given based upon rankings of Guild DMG. So once the guild decides to occupy a stronghold, attack it as hard as you can.
3. Each guild can occupy 8 Strongholds at most, guild with more than 8 Strongholds will automatically abandon low-quality Stronghold at the Setup phase
4. Occupied strongholds will belong to the last guild that defeats Stronghold defenders, pick an appropriate time to fight.
Strategy for Guild Leader and Elder
1. The revival times depend on the number of defending heroes, so dream raiders need to deploy as many as the defending position.
2. One revival chance can only revive one team according to the defending position. Placing the high-FC hero in the front row is high recommended.
3. When occupying a Stronghold, Guilds will have granted points. The higher quality of a Stronghold is, the greater the points can be awarded. So don’t forget to occupy a stronghold with higher quality.
4. If a Stronghold remains unguarded, it will become a Stronghold without any guild during Plunder Phase, only registered guilds are able to launch attack. Guild Leader and Elder needs to deploy defending team in each stronghold.

1. Every day at 22:05 rewards will be delivered based on the number of Strongholds a guild successfully occupies during the event
2. Every Sunday at 22:05 rewards will be delivered according to guild point rank list.

Nexon has just released the new Blaster class for MapleStory in South Korea. This class is a resistance warrior Blaster, and it uses the unique Gauntlet Revolver alongside skills you gain the explosion effect afterwards for extra damage at the cost of one round.
The Revolver has two types of resources, Bullets and the Cylinder Gauge. Through melee combat, the Revolver will use bullets to fire cannon shots when players use the skill Revolving Cannon. Epic Games' upcoming Unreal Engine 4 MOBA Paragon may not aim to replace League of Legends because it's third-person action shooter much similar to Smite. The developer just released an alpha gameplay video, giving you an early look at the combat, card system, and the amazing graphics. Is that the next-generation MOBA you've been waiting for?
Paragon is will be free-to-play. The guess is you will be able to unlock hereos with in-game credits or real money. PearlAbyss and Daum just released a large update introducing the 2nd region of Valencia, aka the desert region for Black Desert Online (Korean version). Valencia is expected to bring players a different experience. A 5-min trailer has been revealed to show off the huge new area, including the new towns, four new open world dungeons, and more. In addition, the previous announced free PK system with bounty hunting and jail system, which are exclusive in the Valencia region will also be implemented in this update.
Players can do free PK in Valencia without worrying the NPC guards. Criminal players with low karma get less punishment in terms of gear and karma penalties in this region than in other regions. However, a new punishment is implemented - jail system. Upon death, criminal players will be sent to jail for a period of time that's determined by how many people he/she has killed. An interesting feature is that you can do some labor work in jail such as mining to reduce jail time, and you can even try to break out and escape the jail. Reminds you of ArcheAge?

Recently, American court rejected Blizzard and Valve’s infringement claims to uCool and Lilith Games of Shanghai.
Blizzard Entertainment put out the new statement to this case yesterday. Blizzard Entertainment said now the case were at the stage of suspension mainly because of the issue of procedure. That is to say, the court wants Blizzard Entertainment to provide more details of this claim. And according to the normal lawsuit procedure, Blizzard Entertainment didn’t list all of the infringement contents. You might have heard that the MMORPG Black Desert Online is coming to the rest of the world in the very near future. I just finished playing the first closed beta, and I'm falling in love with the game. Here are my 5 favorite things about, and the 5 reasons you should consider giving it a try.
The Living World
Black Desert Online has one of the most compelling and breathing worlds I've experienced in an MMORPG. There are NPCs absolutely everywhere, doing things, going places, and playing a role in the world. It doesn't feel like the world is a bystander just waiting for you to interact with it. There are merchants, bandits, guards, and civilians all playing a role, and it goes a long way towards making you feel like you're a part of something so much bigger. If you want to get caught up in a huge world and get lost in its wonders, this is the place for you.
The Character Creator
Black Desert Online's character creator is truly one-of-a-kind. It not only rivals single-player games when it comes to customization, but may just be the best character creator of any game ever. Although that sounds like a bold claim, it's not all that crazy. You can adjust every minute detail of your character's face. Body proportions are completely up to your control down to the muscle group. Hair, facial features, skin, and every color is totally up to you. Most MMORPGs limit your options because they need to make sure armor and costumes work well, but Black Desert Online occasionally sacrifices clipping problems for the perfect character creator.
The Intense Combat
The combat in Black Desert Online is quick, responsive, and full of intensity. There's virtually never a second's worth of downtime in any given engagement. Things just keep happening, whether it's dodging, positioning, or stringing together complex combos. You have to pay attention at all times. Skill is rewarded with results, which is a fresh change of pace from many MMORPGs which just feel like mechanical pattern memorization games in comparison.

The Complex Systems
Many MMORPGs are toned down to accomodate casual players looking for an easy trip through the game world that's full of easy rewards. That's not Black Desert Online. It's a harsh, challenging, and complicated network of game systems. The economy is insanely detailed and living. The skill tree is ridiculously layered and full of options. Even travel itself is a compelling and difficult part of the game. Everything you want to do requires some degree of work or dedication, but it's all more rewarding because of that fact. This is a hardcore game in the era of casual ones.

So generally the packs of the 2 versions give very similar rewards. There are some differences though, that the Russian version give accessories (only for the Guru Pack) and gems that directly enhance players' combat power while the NA/EU version give convenient items such as potions, food, repair tools. Besides, the RU version offers higher level of premium bonus. Things can the NA/EU version has but the RU version doesn't include the voucher to reset your character's appearance, extra character slots, name reservation slots, etc.
So if you ask me which version I prefer, I'd say I like the Russian version if I'm going to purchase a pack because it gives you gear and gems that boost your stats at the beginning. But from the standpoint of average players who are not going to purchase any packs, they probably think the NA version is better because the rewards are mostly convenient items and cosmetics.

Q: Does the game have class?
A: MHO provides lots of freedom and doesn't have class. By equipping different weapons you can fight in completely different style.
Q: Can I switch between different weapons freely?
A: You can't switch weapon in the middle of hunting but once you leave the hunting zone you can change to whatever weapon you have. Keep in mind that melee weapons can be equipped with melee armors and the same goes to ranged weapons. That means if you switch between melee and ranged weapons, make sure you have the right armors equipped.
Q: I have never played a Monster Hunter game, so I wonder what weapon I should choose to start with.
A: Melee weapon has relatively short attack range but the melee armors provide good protection. Ranged weapons and ranged armors go exactly the other way. You can choose the weapons based on your preference. We suggest you give every type of weapon a try in beginner's training camp (新手武器训练场) in the game and then make your decision.
Q: What do the green bar and yellow bar on the top of the screen mean?
A: Green bar represents your health points. When it reduces to 0, you are in downed status and will be taken back to the camp by Airu. To restore health, you can use potions, items, or a rest in the camp.
Yellow bar represents your stamina points. You will consume stamina when you are rolling and sprinting. Once stamina drops to 0, you can't move and will be forced to take a rest immediately. You can restore stamina by using grilled meats: 烤肉, 便携烤肉.
Q: What does the dragon style gauge on the top right mean?
A: It's a gauge for ultimate skills, ougi or奥义. This gauge will gradually be gradually during your hunting. Taking damage from monster will also fill the gauge. You can press "F" to use 奥义 skill when the gauge is filled up. Currently each weapon has 2 unique奥义 skills.
Q: I notice there are some arrows around my character, what does that mean?
A: It's a mission guidance that points out the direction you should go to complete the mission. When you have multiple missions, there will be multiple arrows that display on the screen.
Q: How to sprint?
A: Press the left "Shift" to sprint. Be noted that sprint in the hunting zone will greatly consume stamina.
Q: How to roll and evade?
A: You can't do that in the town. In hunting zone, press "Space" to roll. It will greatly consume stamina.
Q: How to draw/sheath my weapon?
A: Press "Q" to draw or sheath your weapon. You can't sprint when you are holding weapon in your hand.
Q: Where you get armors? From monster drop?
A: Most armors in this game are obtained through crafting in the blacksmith. You need to collect the proper materials to craft a particular armor. Monster doesn't drop armor or weapon.
Q: How to make grilled meat (烤肉)?
A: First you need to have barbecue grill (烤肉架) and raw meat (生肉). Then enter the hunting zone and use barbecue grill (烤肉架). When you see the raw meat turns to cooked meat (the color will change), press "Z" to finish grilling. Note: press "Z" too early or too late will get you bad meat. Eating bad meat will bring you debuff.
Q: How to obtain materials?
A: There are 3 types of materials: materials from monster drop, materials from gathering, and other materials.
From monster drop: After slaying a monster, you can skin the monster to obtain materials from it. You can skin only one time from a small size monster and 3 times from large size monster.
From gathering: Including herbs, ores, mushrooms, fishes, honeys, etc. You can obtain these materials outside the hunting zone and in the farm.
Other materials: Some special materials can only be obtained through crafting skills. Specific formulas can be found in the game's调和, 发明, 珠宝list.
Q: I can't skin a monster or gather materials by pressing "Z".
A: If you are holding weapon, press "Q" to sheath it and try again.
Q: I can't use recovery potion/sharpening stone/barbecue grill?

A: It stands for how sharp your weapon is. It comes in different colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and white, each of which tells you how sharp or blunt your weapon is. Your weapon get blunt after as you use it and it can't hurt the monster after it becomes very blunt (the result is the weapon bounce back when you hack on the monster). You have to use砥石 to sharpen your weapon.
Q: I can't see the monster's HP.
A: One of the unique features of Monster Hunter Online is it doesn't display monster's HP. We want hunters to judge and predict a monster's HP by observing its behaviors. For instance, when you see the monster becomes crippled and stumbled, you can say that it's near its death.
Q: How to use the item that expands storage space?
A: Open your storage and press expand (扩充), then use the item.
Q: How to hide or display UI to take screenshot?
A: Two ways to do that: press "F9" to hide or display the UI, or press middle mouse button to enter camera mode. Press middle mouse button again to exit.
Q: My inventory is full but my newly obtained materials aren't sent to my mailbox.
A: When your inventory is full the other materials will be delivered to your storage first and if your storage is also full, they will be sent to your mailbox.

A: Weapons like Greatsword and Shield and Sword can be used to block. When holding the weapon, press "E" to block. Be noted that blocking will consume your stamina.
The other weapons can't block monster attack so you need to dodge by rolling.
Q: How to aim with Bow?
A: Press "E" and you will see an aiming line, and press "E" again to cancel aiming.
Q: Why the other hunters can make different types of attack with the same weapon?
A: In addition to basic attacks, each weapon can do special attacks with weapon talents. See if you unlock the talent or check if your ougi gauge is full.
Q: What is painting jade (染色玉) used for?
A: It's used to mark the monster on the mini-map for a period of time. Large size monsters usually don't stay on the same position for a long time so a painting jade (染色玉) can tell hunters where the monster is.
Q: How to capture a monster?
A: When a monster becomes crippled and tries to escape, you can place paralysis trap (麻痹陷阱) or pit trap (落穴陷阱) on the area and then draw the monster to the trap. When it's trapped, use paralysis jade (捕获用麻醉玉) twice to capture the monster. Capturing a monster will increase material gain and the chance to obtain rare materials.
Note: you can't skin a captured monster.
Q: Is there a way to display the damage count?
A: You can turn on damage count (伤害数字统计) in settings.
Q: I can't lock on the NPC because too many players are surrounding him.
A: Press "F8" to hide other player characters. Or press "Z" to interact with the NPC near you.

Escape from Tarkov is a hardcore story-driven MMO which combines the elements of FPS/TPS and RPG. The developers from Battlestate Games, a Russian game studio, have released the hot new video with gameplay of their online game. Check out the video below.
The video is set in the outskirts of the Tarkov city, in one of the chemical plant's dorms that is now being used as a staging post by local raiders. At this location, characters of Escape from Tarkov can encounter Scavs, who have made the place their headquarters and are unlikely to welcome surprise guests. The video showcases inventory management, partial weapon tweaking, search for items, and investigation of the player's surroundings.
Partially resembles Destiny and The Division, the events of Escape from Tarkov take place in the Russian city of Tarkov, which has been sealed of by roadblocks and sunk into the chaos of local warfare between private miltray companies. The extreme conditions combat simulator employs a number of custom system modules to create an incredibly immersive gameplay and make players feel the reality of what is happening in the game.
